The restaurant moved from opposite Novotel Siam Square to MBK. Both are good location, especially in MBK, it's easy to reach with BTS sky train at national stadium station. Since I have been visited this same restaurant for more than 10 years, perhaps memory tricks. The taste slightly changed compare to 2 years ago. Yet, it's still good! Strongly recommend steam fish, for fish lover like me. It has less lemongrass taste compare to last time but added with more goji/ wolfberry. The glass noodles with prawn is another dish I never missed. Now, it's less black pepper and added with more goji too. Still taste good.

Almost every dish we ordered was good and as you can see, we ordered a lot for 3 persons. The only dish that did not meet my expectations was the pandan chicken as I prefer a well marinated version. Service was good and the waitress even told us that we ordered too much and changed our Tom Yam soup to small size. The Thai Milk Tea was also good although like most places is very sweet.

With so many eating options at MBK, you’re spoilt for choice and really can’t go wrong. I just happened to pick this place as it was 9pm and a lot of them were approaching closing time, and this place was full of people and had a good vibe about it. Or perhaps what drew me in was watching the ladies perform working at the dessert station, which is right at the front next to the entrance. Pretty cool viewing. That said, I was pretty happy with all my meals. Nothing out of this world, but as expected and very satisfying. The coconut juice was perfect after an evening session of walking and shopping in MBK. Nice subtle sweetness and one simply isn’t enough.

The restaurant surely live up to its name. Ban Khun Mae literal translation is Mother's Home. Flavorful, great portions, and affordable Thai Home-cooked meal. These flavors reminded me of how my mom would cook for me. Delicious. Give it a try.

🚨new location alert They have shifted to the mall in June 2022. Great food. Very popular with tourist and local. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is good. Ordered the shrimp cake, pineapple fried rice, tom yum soup and cabbage. Really enjoyed the meal. Fast serving speed.

Pretty solid meal however not the best. Pineapple Fried Rice was good, with generous and fresh ingredients however rice was a little mushy. Tom Yum soup was spicy, very satisfying. Pandan Wrapped Chicken was fragrant but chicken a little dry. Pad Thai was undercooked. Fish cake not worth the purchase at all.

Nice Thai restaurant in MBK center. Delicious and tasty. Crowded at lunch and dinner. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Foods are served fast and clean. 👍👍👍

Had a late lunch here after walking around MBK. Even at 2 pm, it was quite crowded. They have seating in the main dining room in the centre, as well as the ‘patios’ at the sides. The rice crackers were nice, but were definitely different from what it looked on the menu. The sauce could also have used more meat, though it was tasty. The fish cakes were okay, while the pad thai was good, if a small portion. The lemongrass drink was expensive, but good that we ordered three of them.

An unexpected great find! If you're looking for an authentic Thai cuisine experience with a budget - this is the place to go 👍🏻 Their service is really good with the warmth of Thai hospitality. They're attentive and quick to respond and certainly won't mess up your orders. However it'll be great if they can pick up some English lessons to serve their customers better since many nationalities come by to dine here. Their decor is great too. Got a better glimpse of Thai culture through their art and decorations. Definitely worth walking around the restaurant to take a look while waiting for your food to be served. And oh yes, we didn't have to wait long before the food arrived 😁 The only disappointment was their pineapple baked rice. It lacked the flavour and the prawns weren't very fresh. We could get better ones back in Malaysia.

Delicious food and reasonably priced. Food arrived very timely despite a decent crowd. The lime fish we had was superbly fresh. I am openly comparing this place to Nara Thai which is comparable or if not better without the pricetag. Do visit this lovely place the next time you visit MBK.

Everything is good here. Pandan chicken is juicy and succulent; Tom Kha Kai is flavourful and not too spicy; crab fried rice is beautifully fried; vege is nicely done too.

Brought my colleagues here to try out their Thai food. The restaurant has a rather rustic feel to it. There were a number of locals dining at the restaurant and it was a good sign. Ordered a number of dishes and all of them were good, both taste and presentation. I particularly loved the desserts that they served here. Prices were very reasonable considering that it’s located within a mall.

Authentic Thai taste. Reasonable price. You won't be disappointed if you are looking for Thai food (in which you can customize somewhat, such as not wanting MSG to be added). There are a number of Thai dessert dishes as well. Although, I didn't have a chance to try because my stomach was too full from the main dishes (soup, noodles, etc.). For the drinks, there are several. The popular ones like Thai ice tea and herbal drinks are available as well.

Good but not great. See a lot of good reviews and decided to try this place out. Ordered Tong Yum Goong, mango salad, pad thai, and green curry. Taste wise is average. Ambience is nice. Staffs are friendly but do not speak a lot of English. Don’t mind eat again if around the vicinity but it’s definitely not something that I will travel for.

I recently dined at BKM that left a positive impression. The food was good, offering authentic flavors that satisfied my taste. The live traditional music enhanced the dining experience, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Additionally, the prices were reasonable, making it a great value. I would gladly return for another enjoyable meal.

We we’re looking for a place to have lunch just before going to the museum next door. Ban Khun Mae did not disappoint. This may be one of the best papaya salad I’ve ever had, if not the best. We also had the vegetable dumpling dish, shrimp cake, and beef stir fry in oyster sauce. To be honest, these were all very good as well. And a value for money too. The staff were very attentive and the service, quick and efficient. Will definitely come back!

Used to frequent BKM everytime when I at Bangkok. They moved to MBK not long ago. Standard did drop compare to Siam Square. But still one of my fav when I visit Bangkok. Tom yum is good and the prawn is fresh. Pineapple fried rice is normal. Fried fish with fish sauce is great. Lettuce with fish sauce too salty. Prawn cake is excellent. Charcoal grilled pork shoulder is excellent. Charcoal grill pork tenderloin with honey is normal. Mango stick rice normal. Can visit if you guys happen to be MBK.

Still my favourite place to have authentic Thai cuisine. They moved from Siam Square to MBK yet I still went back to Siam Square to look for them. Highly recommended

The food is tasty. Make sure you have time before eating here because some dishes do take longer to make. Be careful not to bring in outside food or drinks into this place as they have the option to charge you 100 baht. Overall the staff is nice and the food is good.

We are probably the last customer entering at 9pm, which is the time for last order. Food came so quickly that I was skeptical initially, but they were all delicious. We asked for extra spicy and we really enjoyed the meal.

Wonderful authentic Thai food at this nice spot on the 2nd floor of MBK Centre. Freshly prepared food with high quality ingredients. The Pandan chicken and chicken satay are spot on. Really liked the peanut sauce for the satay. The papaya salad was spicy and good. The pad thais are not bad and you have the choice of beef as well as whether you want it sweet or sour. Very kind polite staff.

This place is a gem in MBK! We saw this restaurant on our first day in Bangkok and kept going back there! Very authentic Thai food served here with affordable price. The staffs are also very friendly and helpful.

A very nice restaurant with authentic Thai food. It used be much better before it moved into the MBK Center because of its wide space with beautiful and tasteful Thai decoration. The current place is much smaller. The food is good. Since I had been at the previous site many times before, the food now is not as excellent as then. But it stays one of my most favorite restaurant in Bangkok.

Came here with my wife and her family after my mother in law recommended the place as she heard good things about this restaurant. Everything we ordered was freshly prepared and delicious. The waitress who served us was friendly and despite certain items weren’t available on the menu, she managed to get the kitchen to prepare them. Additionally, the price was afforded too.

Have always loved this restaurant before they even moved to MBK mall where it was at an Alley. Tho it doesn’t have that Thai performance anymore but the food is still good and the price is value for money. It used fresh ingredients and the staff are so polite

After a long walk around the MBK Shopping Centre, we wanted to get some local cuisine, and found this place. We thought the food looks pretty good. It was pretty good. We ordered Tomyum Goong, Prawn Pad Thai, and Sweet and Sour Pork for entree, Mango with Sticky Rice and Red Rubies for dessert, and Blended Coconut each for beverage. That's about US$32 for the both of us, and considering the delicious platters, I thought that was a pretty good price.

Our favourite Thai restaurant in the heart of Siam Square. The Tom Yum Soup is definitely the best I have tasted so far. Make a trip down to this restaurant if you can!

Located on 2nd fl of MBK, beside Tim Hortons Coffee’s entrance. Polished our plates clean! Everything was so delicious! Family of three, ordered six dishes to share. Papaya Salad, Prawns & Minced Pork Glass Noodle Salad, Fried Pandan Chix, Mixed Veg, Tom Yam Soup. Friendly staff, food arrived fast, 9pm last order. Highly recommended, 10/10 will return.

Great place to eat Thai food!! I love the shrimp roll! And fried rice and fried noodles are all good! Price is fair, good environment and service. After you have a meal, you can walk around there, good location to shop.

Just behind Siam Square One - very convenient. Live music on level 1 by a performer donned in traditional costume. Request for level 2 for a more personal space. The food is a little pricey, yes, but it had consistent quality every time I was there. For example, the Steamed Seabass was fresh (almost every table had one). My favourite dishes are simple: Pandan Chicken, Thai Fish Cakes, Green Curry Chicken, Thai Basil Chicken, Pineapple Fried Rice and Mango Sticky Rice (Classic Max!). If you are dining at one of the smaller tables away from the main dining area, look below the table. I once had dinner on a table improvised from an old sewing machine! It is ALWAYS crowded at dinner time. I always arrive early (between 5.30pm to 6pm) to make sure I get a seat.

Great place to enjoy truly Thai Food. We enjoy an stunning lunch here having some of the best dishes from Thai gastronomy. Pineapple fire rice it is just tasty and lovely, the Shrimp cakes really worth it, an amazing Tom Yum Kumg soup and a Stire fries chicken with cashew nuts to die for. Are you in Siam area?.. Stop by here to get a lovely and tasty Thai meal

This restaurant has been recommended to us by a friend. It totally lived up to our expectations. Very friendly service and lovely Thai cuisine. We've been twice during our 3 days stay in Bangkok. My personal favourites: Pad Thai (sweet and sour fried noodles with shrimps), deep fried marinated chicken wrapped in Pandamus, Tom Yum soup and tapioca ball and steamed pancake stuffed with sweet pork and peanut. On busy nights (weekend) you'll need to either reserve the table or queue but it's definitely worth it.

Service is great. Made a booking here when I was around the area for lunch. Second time returning. Food is good but can be better. Vegetables can be avoided. There is inhouse traditional performance of music playing.

Delicious food and great service. They serve quality Thai food and the restaurant is high quality. The green curry was creamy and tasty, the chicken satay came with a lovely crunchy sauce, they pour your drinks for you and keep you topped up and everything is served elegantly. I would recommend !!

A truly local cruising experience. The price is from 160 bath to 360 bath with delicious taste. Every dishes are spicy so if you cannot eat spicy food, please tell the waiters when you order. The fired fish is really good.

Excellent Thai Dessert! We love homemade "Bua Loi" which is a bit sweet and salty. I give 5 ☆ to this. Chicken wrap with pandan leaf 5 ☆. Thai Somtum is also very tasty. Very nice atmosphere of a traditional Asian house with balcony. Charming place for the good old time.

I always love Ban Khun Mae, perhaps everytime visited to Bangkok, I will always have my lunch/dinner there. But for this outlet in MBK Center (2nd Floor), is my 1st visit. This outlet is simple but good design. The foods are always delicious as previous one, the price also fair (especially compare to the food quality). This time I tried their Clear Tom Yum, Tod Man Pla, Chicken Pandan, Chicken Minced Basil, and for sure their delicious desserts and Thai Ice Tea. For sure next time in Bangkok, will visit there again

Tried this one because so many people in front of it when we passed by. I have seen Korean and Japanese youngsters use tour guide and point at this one. We decided to follow their action and got a table here. Here is one of the few places to hear their English. Even though quite broken. But at least it can serve the purpose and this is the only place I have been able to use English. Quite impressive. Food is good and price is reasonable. English is a plus.

From Siam Square to MBK. Our first visit was in 1992 and we have been patronising BKM whenever we are in Bangkok. Home-cooked Thai dishes, prepared with love makes for a tasty and foodfillig meal. Highly recommended.

Stopped by on a rainy night as we were staying next door at the Hilton and wanted some genuine Thai food. The service was good, we were able to order any dish we wanted vegetarian even though it wasn't on the menu and the prices were fair (around 100-120 Baht per main. Would likely return if we stayed longer.

This should be the same restaurant from Siam Square which I had been visiting regularly before Covid. They used to occupy a corner shophouse space along the main thoroughfare in Siam Square. Why same restaurant? Well, the food is about the same - excellent stuff, Thai style and more importantly - priced nicely for all to enjoy!! We ordered a lot and every dish was good. Will come back. Oops.. It's a "Must come back".
