100+ Roasted Duck Restaurant… so so good. I found this gem in 2019 and enjoyed it often… then for almost 2 years you could only enjoy it via take out… but now as of NOV 2022 you can come back in and sit and enjoy this delicious and affordable food. It’s know for its roasted duck have it with rice, wet or dry noodles and wontons. Leicestershire are very very reasonable.

Had the mix-meat combo on rice (recommend! as you can try different kinds of meat, they all good!!!) and grounded pork bun, great price for high quality ingredients. Very appetizing and taste authentic. You didn’t have to wait long for the food and need to pay after the meal.

Fabulous roasted duck place, we found it in 2015 with our (at that time) kids, by a walking local guide. Order ALL small dishes, they are super tasty, we loved the noodles base. Place is ancient and full of locals having a quick lunch. Check photos.

Cantonese style roasted duck place. Ordered their wanton soup, roasted duck, roasted pork and plain noodles. Their sauce for roasted duck and roasted pork are fantastic. Their wanton soup is very delicious. Not a fan of their noodles. Some side notes, their tea is free of charge, if you want ice, they will charge 2 baht per cup. Price are overall reasonable. Open until 8:30pm

Visited many years back and it was time for a revisit. Some people might find the duck too sweet, I think it is just outstanding. Very tender texture. One of my favorite duck places in Bangkok. Noodles are also perfect, not too soft, have the perfect bite. Shrimp dumplings were also great. Just the roast pork is only ok, there are better options in Bangkok.

We had the egg noodles with pork wantons, duck and red pork & mixed rice big combo. I think the mixed rice was an overall better dish. It was also served faster than the noodles. The noodles sauce was a tad too sweet for me even though the noodles were springy and really good. The mixed rice dish had the sausage which was delicious. PS: we recommend going upstairs, it has bigger seating area and it’s air conditioned.

To be around and not check this place is a crime if you like good food. Humble place with a royal tongue treatment. For about 3-4 eur you can eat a meal which you are going to remember forever. Avoid if you are stiff, fancy Starbucks or if you think food served in Hard Rock Cafe is a top of the league.

The price is very reasonable. There were three of us and I paid 500+baht. Taste is yum yum especially the roasted duck. Air con is working very well and there were enough table so you don’t have to waiting for the long line.

We first visited this restaurant on a Sunday around 12:30, it wasn’t very busy (perhaps because it was the weekend?) We were able to get a seat immediately and after looking over the menu for a minute, we decided on what to order. Everything we had was delicious!!! We enjoyed it so much that we went back two days later. This time, we had to wait for about 15minutes, due to the lunch time rush around the same time as our first visit. The prices are unbeatable and so is the quality and quantity. P.S for all the food in the pictures, our total came to around 250 baht.

Awesome food, i like the rice topped with bbq pork and crispy pork belly. Many seats but still not enough. Customers can join the same table (but better showing respect by asking whether they don’t mind if you’d like to join). Car park at the opposite building, Robinson Department Store, is nice.

If you're reading my review contemplating u want to try this, do it. I did, no regrets. I actually ventured here for the famous porridge a few shops down, but it was closed and I continued walking down to find this gem. I ordered the crispy pork and roast duck rice. The crispy pork skin was so crunchy, mixed with their special gravy they put all over the hot steamed rice, and the duck...silky smooth, marinated with herbs that blend perfectly with the gravy. Absolutely no regrets walking into this place, you should too.

    - roasted duck 👍👍👍 - English, Thai and Chinese menu - pork wonton’s quality: ok - arrived around at 11:00, needed to wait for a table. (Kind of crowded) - I ordered egg noddles & pork wonton with che-po (mix meat) 100 baht, beside the roasted duck, I enjoyed crispy pork

Place easy to find . Just opposite Robinson . Very old style restaurant but it’s Air con! Body no smell after my meal . Crispy pork was nice . Duck was soft… flavorful… try the egg noddke as it’s also flavor fully done! I order the pork leg… nice but better to have it shared … portion wise order carefully… dun over order … nearby Parking is in Robinson … near to bangrak market …

The roasted duck is superb. Crispy skin and juicy meat. The sauce is equally good, not too sweet. I also enjoy the pickled ginger served together. Crispy pork belly is very nice too. Another worth mentioned dish is the fried rice (though i forgot to take picture). If you still have some room for more after the roasted duck, fried rice is also a good choice.

Famous, old Thai-Chinese restaurant serving roasted duck and pork over rice or egg noodles, situated in a popular “open market” in downtown Silom/Sathorn area of Bangkok. While I think there are equally if not better offering of roasted duck/pork elsewhere, definitely give this place a try just for the smell, taste, and sensations of being in an old, roasted duck shop of yesteryear. A nostalgic trip to simpler time of Thai “street-food”.

This restaurant has its history over century since 1909. The century-old recipe of Roasted Duck is the highlight menu that you must try once in your life. The another menu that you don't miss is Stuffed Pork Knuckle. Moreover, beside the excellent taste of various cuisines, the price is reasonable as well as economic friendly.

🍲🦆 This restaurant is located in Charoenkrung area, easy to find, not so far from Robinson Bangrak. They run this business for more than 100 years. After a stroll in the neighborhood, I like to stop at this place to grab some lunch. I like to order crispy pork and roasted duck on rice. Crispy pork is as crispy as it should be. Sauce is not too sweet which I like. Moreover, there are dimsum dishes availble if you like. Service is fare. 💴💳💰 Price is ok. 60-70 baht for regular size. 85-120 for extra and special menu. 🚗🚕🚄 If you come here by your own car I suggest you to park at Robinson Bangrak and then walk a little bit, just 50 metre away. Parking fee : 1 hour free, then 20 baht/hour

Classic Thai-Chinese egg noodle place. They are famous for duck. But the crab noodles are very good too. Very popular with Thai-Chinese families. On Sundays it can be very busy. Old Chinese couples dress up to come here and have their noodles on the way to the temple. Some of them seem to come here for the past 40, 50 years. They are very popular for take away too.

This place surely deserve 5 stars but giving 4 now as want to come back again and try their roast meat with rice. For this first visit, ordered the roast duck and char siew with noodles-dry version, and also asked if there is soup with it, but the staff kinda heard it as I want soup noodles, hence tried with soup and of course good surprise too as the soup base was really nice, but of course the roast duck kind of got soak in it, but still good. The char siew was really nice and simple, as I generally don't like char siew with lots of the red marinade in it. This char siew almost tasted like a normal slice pork, but in a good way. Will recommend and visit again to try their 3 roasted meat with dry noodles, and also over rice.

The food here is something everyone visiting Bangkok should try. The duck is especially delicious. Price is reasonable but portions are not of western size. (You might want to order extra or two)

After 2 times trying to eat at this place finally! Definitely I recommend the crispy pork first and then the roasted duck. For my Merican friends get them 2 portions are not huge but it’s definitely yummy.

Good traditional roasted meat stall that is very popular in the area. There are seats on the upper floor and air conditioned as well. Definitely worth dropping by

My wife and I found this place by chance and it was incredible. Extremely tasty food. We had the duck and pork combo and the egg noodles with duck and pork wonton. My God was that pork crispy and both were covered in a exquisite sauce. We would eat this every day if we could. Delightful staff and extremely quick service. Highly recommend!

Solid Chinese restaurant on Charoen Krung Road 🍜 and quintessential Bangkok institution. Their roast duck 🦆 is tender with great flavor. The roast pork is equally as delicious with a nice crispy skin. And the Chinese sausage was spot on sweet and savory. Noodles had a nice bite & chew. Service was quick and friendly and the prices are wonderful. Good local vibes near Saphan Taksin BTS 🚉

The roasted duck in this restaurant is legendary and it is one of the place you can't miss when you visit Bangkok. If you come in peak hours, there might be a long queue. Manage your time carefully so you won't have to waste time waiting.

I had the roast duck, roast pork, and shrimp wontons. All three were really good but not excellent. I would have given it 5 stars if the duck skin was crispy but it was very limp. With that said, service is fantastic and there's ample place to eat. Highly recommended.

This tiny restaurant hides a gem inside. I arrived it about 9:30 AM and that time it is not too busy or crowded. I don’t think traveller should visit during rush hours since it has limited spaces inside. If your favorite food is Chinese dishes, it has high odds that you enjoy it. Roasted duck is tender and not too dry: dried skin but little juicy meat. I ordered 2 dishes: roasted duck and crispy pork belly served on rice and wanton noodle with roasted duck and roasted pork. In my opinion, however, I prefer roasted duck serving on rice to the noodle. Wanton noodle is good but still not great.

Plates of delicious roast duck in a Bangkok food institution. Well worth the visit, for some of the best roast duck noodles I have had in the city. Unpretentious dining and very local.

For the longest time I’ve been wanting to try this roasted duck place but when I finally did, I was a little disappointed mainly because I wasn’t a fan of the sauce they used. It’s a bit on the sweet side for me, a little too sweet. I like the dark sauce with the chilli peppers more that was part of the free condiments on the table. On the plus side the serving size was great for 50 baht and the duck was cooked really well. We were lucky that it wasn’t crowded when we went late in the afternoon.

Nov 2022: first bite of the noodles and the char siew and I was sooo pleased. It will be a good meal! Decided to also order pork belly rice to try the crispy pork. 2 portions for 1 person! The waiter was a bit humoured. I tried to ask for less rice but the service staff could not understand. It’s ok. The portion of rice was t that large so wastage was just minimal. Overall was a great meal and another gem to return to the next time!

Taste is subjective. Their style of roast duck is not for me. If u enjoy meats deep fried and soaked in sweet sauce, then go for it. Hugely popular with locals.

  • 2/5 The D. 1 year ago on Google
This place is ok, if you happen to be local. It is street food in a cafe. I have been once before, and my memories were much better than my recent experience. We had duck and pork, both the 65bht portion. The duck was cold at the edges and lukewarm in the middle, the pork was cold throughout. We complained but don't know the word for cold, so gave up. We waited 15 minutes for it and were hungry. At the end of the day, it's just meat and rice with a bit of pickled ginger, there is nothing special about it at all. This exact same food was available at a stall down the road. The train fare getting there and back was the same price as the food and just as interesting, so don't believe all the gushing hype and don't go out of your way to go here.

I’ve been coming here for many years, and they never disappoint. The homemade noodles are cooked to perfection and are accompanied by generous portions of meat. I would recommend getting the noodles with roasted duck and crispy pork (without soup) if you only ordered one thing. I also appreciated the free chinese tea they serve, very classic. Highly recommend!

  • 5/5 Nooniecorn . 4 years ago on Google
Looked like the store is famous among locals. The noodle was delicious- still sticky/chewy but soft and not soggy. Sauce over it was on a sweet side. I would ask for less sauce if visiting again. The day I went crispy pork belly was not crispy though. Duck was the highlight. It was so tasty and melt in your mouth. For the quality, location, and price, it definitely is a great place for a quick meal.

Tried to eat here (Dec 2021) and was turned away at the door. Man said only take-out. There are a few tables inside but apparently you can not wait for a table.

Good taste and delicious . Well known for roasted duck in BKK. Not the best for my taste. Reasonable price. Only accept take away (post COVID)

👍👍 We love the curry crab! But!! It comes too late.........when it comes, we are all already half full... that's why the service is not 5 star. But it's still recommended! Just make sure that your crab is coming as soon as the other dishes!

👍👍 Ban Somtum is my all time favorite somtum (Thai Style Salad) place with fresh and clean ingredients. My all time favorite menus are Luangprabang Somtum and the Signature Fried Chicken. The level of spice for normal spicy is quite spicy. If you don’t like the burning spicy temptation, recommend to go...
