Often overlooked in the itinerary of tour groups, it is still a well known location, but unbelievably empty. We barely came across other visitors during our visit. Go all the way to the top and be rewarded with a picturesque panoramic view of the surroundings.

Wat Ratchanatdaran Woravihara is located in between Wat Suthat and Wat Saket, so you can cover all three temples in one trip. The best constituent of this temple is Loha Prasat building, which has several layers where you has many walkways with Buddha images, meditation chairs, all going to the top floor that provides a great 360 degree vista around Bangkok especially Wat Saket. The complex itself is large with Ordination Hall, Ubosot and other buildings and gardens.

This Wat is amazing! It's beautiful, quiet and peaceful. I've been to Bangkok several times and went to the common tourist places that's too crowded. But Wat Ratchanatda is a hidden gem you'll enjoy.

The best Wat in the city. Quiet and lack of tourist crowd, and the gold color really pops out with the sun shining, especially in your camera! Pretty easy to find, Google Maps will definitely take you here just fine.

Very beautiful temple with several very clean and very well maintained pavilions. We are impressed by the main building which is very imposing. You can access its summit by an internal staircase from where you have a view of the entire city. The place is calm and relaxing. A must visit and not to be missed.

A very unusual looking Thai temple, but quite spectacular. There were only three of them built in the world and this is the only one still standing. Near the Temple of the Golden Mound, it is a must see. Taking in both temples should eat up a morning or afternoon. I've not been there for several years and now the roof is covered in gold. Before it was all black. It was never crowded when I visited it, but that may have changed.
