Siriraj Medical Museum is definitely one of the top museum in Thailand. If not, one of the best in South East Asia. Whether you are here for academic research or just to wonder around to kill off some time. The easiest way to reach here is via ferry (siriraj pier), opposite to tha prachan pier. As many google reviewer says, although it is quite an adventure but surely is not for the faint of heart. Please do eat before you visit the space, and definitely not for children under 15 yrs old. There are 3 museums split inside. Dont worry, the counter receptionist will guide you with a leaflet (Eng Language as well) and there are English signage from one museum to another as well. Photos are not allowed except for the Siriraj Bimuksthan Museum and the pre historic building where you can get to know more during the area within WWII. Medical students, there should cover you many aspects of medical care, theory and researches purpose. But for quite - squeamish person like myself, I still do enjoy it, but it is very disturbing when seeing corpses and trauma injuries (homicide, suicide etc) graphic visuals. There is some audio tech to assist you for Non-Thai speakers. Not too sure about "request touring" for Eng language. Would be great to have one at an additional cost. When I was there, I only witnessed Thai Speaking small group tour/walk through. Ticket Prices for Local: 80 THB Ticket Prices for Foreigners: 250 THB This is an international level museum. Truly remarkable. Worth the visit. Highly Recommend. Do check their facebook page a day before you pay a visit. Incase they, closed for covid19 pandemic etc.

The most in-depth visual guide to the human body. This place might upset and cause disgust with a lot of people because real dead bodies are preserved in various rooms at this location but if you're a medical student this place is s gold mine of information. You'll immediately get a stench of death as you enter each room. I'll warn you right now, there is a lot of dead babies and children so if you're squemish I would advise you not to visit but if you truly want to learn more about this incredibly complex organic machine that we call the human body then I will highly recommend a visit. You're actually not allowed to take photos inside. If you've got a strong stomach and you're keen to learn more about the human body then I would highly recommend giving this place a visit.

An amazing display of real human body, limbs, and skeleton. Prepare your guts before entering this museum. For some people this might scare them. Some displays real death cases, homicide, suicide, accidents. There's also diorama about Tsunami death. Lots of preserved human fetus and babies with various medical cases. Not allowed to take pictures.

Fascinating 5 building museum of history and medical procedures in a beautiful setting along the Chao Phraya River. Authentic preserved specimens, skeletons and fetuses. Very graphic and interesting, but not for the squeamish. Highly recommend.

My friend had a medical appointment at the hospital, so I decided to visit the museum while waiting for him. Paid 200 Baht which gave me access to all three (maybe it’s a special thing during COVID-19), and I spent two hours visiting everything. I enjoyed all the display of anatomical, forensic, cultural, and historical perspectives.

Tickets are 200 baht. There are two venues you can visit. This is a very impressive museum. I have great admiration for all the general teachers and scholars. But most of them only have Thai explanations. It would be even better if English explanations could be added!

Too bad that such a renowned university is promoting racism with its dual pricing system. They make every foreigner pay multiple the admission, no matter whether they live here & pay taxes or not. There is no advantage at all for foreigners, as there is no additional experience and not even a translation gor everything or English speaking staff on-site. When asked for the justification, the front desk staff would only reply "that's the rule". As long as this continues, no place can be enjoyed, no matter how interesting its story. In a world full of humans, humanity should always be the first value!

If you are not good at glo It is said that you should write down your name, admission time and nationality on the right hand side of the first floor. You can go upstairs to the right and pay 200 THB for admission and put your luggage in the locker for a tour. The medical exhibits were interesting. As majority of the signs and captions are in Thai, it is difficult for Non-Thais to understand them. Understandably, this is a school for medical students. But since this has also been promoted as a tourist attraction, it would be good for the museum to add English translations of the information.

With respect, no photos were taken inside. When you reach the building, you'll first jjot your particulars on a book. Name, time in & country. On level 2, head inside & you can choose to purchase for either Medical Museum @ 200 baht. Or both museum (medical & history) for 300 baht. There are 3 exhibitions on this building. Real preserved bodies & parts of body can be observed. For science. Thereafter after you're done, you can walk out of the building, then turn right. At the T junction. Turn right then walk straight & turn left. Thats the next museum on L2 and L3. Truly life is fragile. Great experience once in a lifetime.

Quite the experience seeing all the bodies with your own eyes rather than virtually through pictures or youtube. Would’ve given 5 stars if there were more English labels. 300baht for each museum (medical/historical). Definitely a place to visit when in Bangkok.

Fascinating to see the inside of the human body: nothing plasticised here! See human development pre birth, see the effect of diseases and trauma to the body, learn about parasites. There is a steady stream of visitors to the museum. Its not for everyone but it is worth the trip if anatomy is your interest!

(Translated by Google) An interesting facility by name. It is called a corpse museum, but it doesn't feel so terrible, and most are decorated with bones. I was sweaty before coming here, so I seemed to catch a cold with a good air conditioner in the hall There is no particular sublime impression, but only a shocking photo of the third room cannot wipe out fear. Very interesting and educational experience in Bangkok.. some fascinating specimens. Photos aren't allowed for good reason - respect. Thai folk are v spiritual. Anyone who chose to take photos against these rules and posted them online, as curious as they are, are grade A tw*ts. There are two sites - the main museum is on the 2nd floor and has 3 rooms - you pay here. (beware: the Forensic Medicine Room has v gruesome photos on display as soon as you walk in). And the 2nd site, the Congdon Anatomical Museum on the 3rd floor of the Department of Anatomy building where you can put belongings into lockers. Some displays could do with updating with English translations but tbh I'm not holding it against them.. we're in Thailand and they don't owe English to us. Take the blue ferry (Chao Praya Express Boat) for 30B to Prannok for a lovely scenic journey then it's a 10 mins walk from the ferry port. The area around the ferry port also has a really cool market with lots of places to eat, drink and buy clothes.

You can not take photos of this place. They will provide you with a locker to your backpack/ purse. This place is definitely one for the books. They show you real human bodies. And very detailed information. Most of it is in Thai. Very few English explanations. Still, just the visual it's something you won't forget anytime soon.

I went December 2016. I was going for the Forensic museum but when I got there I found out there is more to see than that. Siriraj Bimuksthan Museum, Forensic museum,Congdon Anatomical museum, Ellis Pathological Museum,Parasitology museum and Sood Sangvichien museum. So it was a longer visit than I thought but all good. I made my way round the interesting rooms, don't go if you are of a weak stomach I will say. I found it to be very interesting and read a lot about the human body and in some rooms you are given and audio guide which is handy. A few of the rooms you have to put any bags and cameras in a locker. But I did manage to sneak a few photos ! I don't think its a place for a young family. There are bodies babies all cut up and many other bodies and body parts on display. But I found it to be very good.

Very interesting museum; not for the faint of heart, quite heavy and did feel a little bit exploitative at points. 200 BHT to see 5 of the museums, 300 BHT to see an additional (can’t remember what it was). I skipped the anatomy and history museum. There is an audio guide you can use in English if you have a passport to leave with them. Spent about 1.5 hours here. You can’t take pictures which I think is good and more respectful to the people who donated their bodies to science. The preserved babies with congenital diseases were very interesting and sad, as was the exhibit on the tsunami and how the hospital identified the bodies of victims and treated people. There was also a section that included murder weapons and evidence from homicides as well as preserved bodies/bones/images that illustrated both natural and unnatural deaths (for example gunshot wound in the head or hit by a train). You definitely need a palate cleanser after this but if you have a morbid curiosity like I do, it’s well worth the visit!

Very cool collection, worth a stop for sure! This place really is great and pack full of oddities. The anatomy building is really where it’s at for me, such a wild collection packed so densely. 200 baht, for 300 you get access to the history museum near the river as well, very worth the price.

Very eye-opening place. Some amazing sights. Probably not for the faint hearted but very interesting and fairly cheap. Be aware you’re not allowed to take photos. My partner is Thai so it helps with translations as there’s a lot of stuff written in just Thai. Not a long taxi ride from anywhere in Bangkok (obviously depending on traffic) but from Victory Monument it cost me less than 200 baht.

This was a very interesting museum off the beaten path of Bangkok. I had to plan it out based on where I was staying, and had to take a subway and river ferry to arrive. When you take the river ferry you’ll want to buy your fare to the “Thonburi Railway Station Pier”. When you get off you’ll walk straight and turn left after the roundabout into the hospital campus. The museum doesn’t allow pics for obvious reasons as there are things there the general public may not want to see. If you are interested in human anatomy, curious about disfigurement and amazed by natural disaster you’ll love this museum. Most of the communication is in Thailand however the exhibits mostly have a QR code you scan with your cell phone and it brings up YouTube audio in English for you to listen to. So bring headphones or you can put your phone to your ear with the volume turned down. Tickets are 200 baht or 300 baht if you want to attend the other two museums on the property. I did that and it was worth the extra 100 baht. The other museums on site house a very old river barge and some traditional Thai armaments.

The experience is split into 3 different buildings (if you buy the 300 baht ticket), and they are fairly hard to navigate without Google Maps. The first building was the main medical museum, many gruesome exhibits, but extremely educational. The second was the anatomical museum, which is similar to the first but with more detail. Lastly is the museum of history, displaying the history of the hospital. The staff are kind and courteous, and the exhibits are extremely educational (albeit disturbing for some). Many exhibits are only in Thai. Not for the faint of heart, but definitely recommended.

The best place to visit if you want to see something incredible about yourself, literally. You'll see the intricate anatomy of the body as well as the potential abnormality that could arise if it was you. Highly recommended! I'll go back soon especially I am a curious buff! I hope more people can see and appreciate the world of medicine!

(Translated by Google) This is a human specimen (?) Exhibition hall located inside the hospital. To get to the first exhibition hall, you have to get off some distance by car. The car was too blocked to enter the hospital. There are three exhibition halls in the hospital and three new ones. If you want to see a human specimen, you can see only two exhibition halls in the hospital except the new one. The entrance fee of 200 baht for both exhibition halls and 300 baht for the new hall is required. It's forbidden to take pictures inside, but I don't want to take much pictures as you say below. hehe It's an example of a real person and courtesy of those who died. When I entered the first exhibition hall, it seemed to explain how the human body is damaged by various accidents. Actual photo .. You can see pictures and specimens with cut necks or limbs cut off. If you are infected with various pests, you can see gastrointestinal specimens on your body. The second pavilion must be moved to another building, so it's not necessary to find and find a Google map. The first one has few samples, but the second one has many samples. You can see a cross-sectional view of a slice of the human body, some parts of the nervous system's muscles are removed, and you can see the actual body. And you can see a variety of fetal specimens, including Siamese twins. If you look up close, you will be able to open your eyes. There are far more specimens on display than the first one, with no air conditioner, sweating, gastrointestinal vertigo and dizziness. The third exhibition hall is a separate building and can only be photographed at the entrance of the exhibition hall. There is air conditioning and cleanliness to calm the gourmet, but I don't really recommend it. If you have a weak stomach or have no special reason to visit, it is a museum to visit. Best wishes for those who have never been born or are unlucky and who have been exhibited as specimens. Absolute waste of time. The day I went (December 2019) they weren't charging admission (even farangs were free). Regardless, it was so silly.....thankfully, the boat ride over and the short walk from the pier didn't take an enormous amount of time. Heed my warning, please, and don't bother with this "museum". Use the time to fully explore Wat Pho or Wat Arun. Take a walk through the Bang Rak neighborhood for a view of a part of the city few foreigners visit...visit the pretty teak houses at Suan Pakkad...relax in Lumphini and get a nice photo of a monitor lizard.....anything but Siriraj Medical "Museum".

Well worth a visit to but be prepared it’s very graphic. I spent an hour in the first three parts. It’s an eye opener into the world of medicine. There is a lot to see. You cannot take photos and there is lockers for your bags

I’d recommend to the open minded! Definitely pulled my heart strings seeing some of the gruesome pictures and deformities of the babies. A great museum and friendly staff!

This place is a must if you are into anatomy and forensic! The expositions are very, very interesting;I was captivated from start to end. When you pay for the entry, you are actually paying a small price for about 4-5 museums which are all of them interesting. My favorite was the one with the congenital defects of babies.

This is a place for non shoppers who visit Bangkok. This is my third time coming to Bangkok, i got tired of shopping malls and night markets. Found this museum online, my curiosity about the "museum of death" sends me here. Entrance Ticket cost 200 baht for foreign. Spent close to 4 hours here visiting all the 3 museums. The anatomical and Siriraj museum has a lot of real dead bodies , almost fully grown up babies with congenital body deformation, wounded body parts, disgusting pictures of the deceased etc. It can be very disturbing to watch and i feel so grateful for having a healthy and complete body. The last museum - Bimuksthan Museum. The set up was very impressive. The museum even set up a mini cinema with special lighting effects, explaining about the history of the area.

Amazing medical museum in Bangkok. Unique place to learn about criminology and deseases. Also liked the tsunami department. Entrance for two buildings was 200 BAT. There are QR codes which you can scan to listen to audio guide in English. I’ve spent a half day there and it’s really worth it!

Interesting and interactive museum. Get the 4 to 5 museum pass at 300baht Museums located at various buildings. Limited English description but comes with audio translation for some exhibits. Take ferry to thronburi railway dock. We took tourist boat at 60baht each pax at saphan taksin BTS.

Paid 200B for the medical museum and I really enjoyed the experience. Showcasing an extensive collection of human body, natural and unnatural causes of death, and forensics process. It took me around two hours to see everything. I recommend you to make use of Google Translate as most of the texts are written in Thai. If you're interested in human anatomy, illness, and death, you'd enjoy this.

Special and heartfelt gratitude to the museum's two talented and knowledgeable curators, Ms. Bee and Ms. Aim. Their tireless and enthusiastic guidance made my museum visit truly remarkable and impressive. I was especially impressed by their patience, willingness to share their knowledge, and fascinating background of Ms. Aim in archaeology.

(Translated by Google) The Siriraj Medical Museum, the Congdon Anatomical Museum and the Thailand prehistoric museum are located in close proximity to each other. I went to the Siriraj Medical Museum first and dropped a 200 baht ticket so I could go to the other two places. I'm not a medical student and I'm just a science and technology student. I don't have the opportunity to see these things in Korea. I was curious and visited them in the order listed above. But each person might feel very disgusted. There is no Korean voice support program, but in English, it's actually a medical term. And underneath the scene of the accident, the car's basic terminology (in this way, car accident) didn't seem to require a voice support program. The Congdon Anatomical Museum is a bit old-fashioned, but it's a bit of a surprise. .. I can tolerate such things as bodies (baby, siamese twins, brainless, drowned babies), skin stitches, dissected bodies, organs, pictures of accidents, or really wonder about how the body structure looks like I would like to recommend it to you Oh, I don't know if it's an anatomical museum or only Siriraj Medical Museum, but there's a real hospital right next to the museum. When something comes out of the hospital, it feels like they'll be kept in formaldehyde and displayed in a museum with the consent of their guardians.

This museum consists of 5 areas located in three different areas. Part 1-3 is nice although it wouldn't take much effort to display the information in English since the provided audio guide doesn't work at roughly 1/3 points. Part 5 ist pretty interesting but could use some investment, this place feels very ancient. Part 5 wasn't interesting at all to us, just felt like the museum unloaded some ancient artifacts in a backdoor room. Overall it was super interesting to see the exhibits but not educating due to missing information. It's cold inside, better take a jacket with you. Entrance is 200 baht p. P., toiletts and lockers are provided.

(Translated by Google) There is little room for exhibition composition. Almost no English explanation. If you're not in the medical field, it's hard to see. However, if you are not in the medical field, there are many exhibits that are hard to see, so it is a new experience. The surrounding facilities are well-equipped as an affiliated hospital at Mahidol Medical College, Thailand's premier medical school. 5-6 buildings in total which takes maybe a few minutes to walk to each one. The admission cost about 200 baht for the whole exhibition. Pros: super in depth on human anatomy, forensics, pathological studies. Lots of real specimens on display. Lots to see and you can easily spend a 2 hours here. - friendly security Cons: I was alone walking through the museum for the most part since there were only about 4 people total there which became quite eerie in some areas in each building and I had to cut the visit short. -No photos allowed in most of the buildings

Very interesting, rare medical diagnoses that even medical staff rarely see in their entré career. Don't eat a big meal before. Don't take your kids younger than 13-15 maybe. And have time, its 3 different buildings I only did 1 and 2 it was enough.

Fun for offbeat museum lovers and very informative. Dead bodies, info on killer diseases and parasites, and an extensive exhibit about the 2008 tsunami. Good activity to do with a friend to discuss all the weirdness. You can also rent the audio tour in English.

(Translated by Google) There are quite a few exhibits in the old architecture, which is beyond my imagination. I don't want to take a photo even if it's forbidden. Siamese twins are full of real life, parts of the body, and amputated bodies. I was shocked all the time. Even the most memorable thing is the picture of the dead child and the jar on display. It's hard to find it because it feels gloomy and the location is not well explained. You can see a total of three museums at 300 Baht, but it's hard to find them. You can only take pictures at the last museum. I thanked you for being sore and limbs all the time.
