I am biased because this museum is named for my great-grandfather Edgar Congdon, who was an Anatomist for the Rockefeller Foundation and taught first at Peking University in China and then here in Bangkok in the 1930s. He designed a system for preserving biological specimens without using formaldehyde and I believe some of the items on display are his work but the majority were done by one of his students after he left. I've taken both family and friends here when they visit Bangkok and everyone has enjoyed it although some parts are rather gruesome.

Netty. Was. Here. Not for the weak hearted! Pun intended! Included in the 200 baht fee is 3 medical and historic museums in the area. They will give you a locker and key to place your belongings in; so visit this building first if you need to put down a few items purchased at the near by markets.

The museum is not well maintained. It could be interesting but they just put things there without much explanations, sometimes without any. Taking pictures is forbidden for some reason.

【caution! The final ticket sold time is 15:30】It is the first time that I saw a museum about human body which belongs to a hospital. It is really a great idea. Let us know some basics about medical science. By the way, it is really cute that people put toys on stillborn babies‘ boxes. I can feel humanitarian care. I thought samsara is a common concept in Thailand. Hope these lives can get better soon in the next round. 🙏

I'm not going to post photos as i firmly believe you should see it yourself. I was lucky to have run into a couple of surgeons finishing there internships and so they walked me through and explained all my questions about the human anatomy, along with genetic defects and pinpointing issued with specimens. Highly recommend seeing it even your not lucky enough to have surgeons walk you around. It's a little hidden spot, not many tourists have this on their list

A well-maintained museum and worth to visit for science and history enthusiasts. For me, it is more than a museum as it houses human remains. We were there not just to explore more about anatomy but also to realize how fragile life is. Taking pictures while in the musuem is prohibited. The ticket price as of Sep 25, 2022 is 200 ThB per person. This will let you visit the Siriraj Medical Museum in another building and the Congdon Anatomical Museum.

If you have nothing to do in Bangkok, this can keep you busy for an afternoon. A little strange and it's a shame that all the information is in Thai (nothing in English, luckily Google Translate Photos exists) but interesting

Definitely a place for the inquisitive. All the exhibitions were displayed nicely but all the information was in Thai only. We had a good understanding of what we were looking at,but can be some what confusing for some. You are also not allowed to take any photos.

The museum made a strong impression! A little bit of the Kunstkamera, but a lot of skeletons, cut parts of the body and the bodies themselves across. It was interesting, but also a little creepy, how human parts in formaldehyde looked like those bones with meat that are familiar in broth. I was a little hungry, but after the museum I didn’t want to eat for another couple of hours. About the organization: finding the museum itself is not as difficult as finding the place where to buy a ticket for entry (tickets must be purchased on the 2nd floor of the building 3 buildings away from the museum itself!!) You are not allowed to take photographs(( It seems like there are 2 floors of the exhibition, but I only got to 1, the second has already closed because... open until 15:30

We were in 3 buildings for a ticket of 300 baht, we started with the Sirirash Museum, it’s great there, leave it for the end. At the end we came to the anatomy building and part of the museum is open until 15:20, and is closed on Tuesdays and holidays. take this into account at the beginning of the journey through the 3rd complexes. There are no air conditioners here, only fans, it is very hot, it is impossible to stay for more than 10 minutes. The rest of the museums are great!

IT IS OPEN. (Ignore previous reviewer). I was there today. Awesome place. Less gruesome than the forensic exhibition in the other building. The pre-historic exhibit on the ground floor however is currently restricted. Everything in this museum could benefit from more English signage but it’s not really for tourists anyhow.

    28. Feb. 2024. Everything is fine. There was a dim-witted guard at the Siriroj Museum who told me I didn't have a ticket and that he kept me away from the counter so I couldn't buy it. I wasted my time because he's mentally retarded.

(Translated by Google) It is a very good place to give knowledge, the world has knowledge of the Dharma, considered the body from the real thing. 🤔 .... But strangely, the night before going to sleep, I dreamed of going to a slaughterhouse, seeing a cow being beheaded and bleeding in a way, looking scary and pitiful ..... 🤔 then came back and thought. Own that. When I saw the corpses of many children, they died prematurely, could not be because of the old karma that he had killed in the life of Panatibat? So I have to be short .....

(Translated by Google) The Siriraj Medical Museum, the Congdon Anatomical Museum and the Thailand prehistoric museum are located in close proximity to each other. I went to the Siriraj Medical Museum first and dropped a 200 baht ticket so I could go to the other two places. I'm not a medical student and I'm just a science and technology student. I don't have the opportunity to see these things in Korea. I was curious and visited them in the order listed above. But each person might feel very disgusted. There is no Korean voice support program, but in English, it's actually a medical term. And underneath the scene of the accident, the car's basic terminology (in this way, car accident) didn't seem to require a voice support program. The Congdon Anatomical Museum is a bit old-fashioned, but it's a bit of a surprise. .. I can tolerate such things as bodies (baby, siamese twins, brainless, drowned babies), skin stitches, dissected bodies, organs, pictures of accidents, or really wonder about how the body structure looks like I would like to recommend it to you Oh, I don't know if it's an anatomical museum or only Siriraj Medical Museum, but there's a real hospital right next to the museum. When something comes out of the hospital, it feels like they'll be kept in formaldehyde and displayed in a museum with the consent of their guardians.
