If the idea of a customised tour appeals, Chan at Canary Travel is the person to speak to. We chatted with Chan about a day trip to Kanchanaburi that concentrated only on the historical sites of the area; the War Cemetery, River Kwai Bridge, Death Railway, Jeath War Museum and the Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre and Memorial Walking Trail. We also wanted a local guide in Kanchanaburi. Chan set about making a few phone calls to build our personal itinerary. We ended up with a private driver, Lek, and a local guide, Ricky. Ricky was very knowledgeable about the history of the railway and the sites we visited. Chan's customer service was excellent and she made sure that we did everything we wanted to and was in touch by text to check that it went well. Highly recommended.

The lady was nice and informative and their prices were fair. I went on the train market tour and floating market tour. We were in a small van. The driver was prompt and really looked after our small group.

I was met outside my guest house at 8am at the appointed time and taken to the general meeting point on Khao San road. There I met other tourists who had been transported from other hotels in Bangkok. We were directed to the mini van which would take us to Kanchanaburi to see the River Kwai bridge. About 2 hours later we arrived at the cemetary with individual headstones for those who had lost their lives in the war. Then on to the Jeath museum which is cheap, about 40 baht, but not much to see there but you can get a good view of the bridge in the distance (see my pic) for any pics you might want. Then a 5 minute walk to the bridge where there is time to yourselves for an hour or so. I took the time to go on a slow train ride across the bridge whilst other tourists stepped to one side to avoid the train; about 50 baht. Then had Thai food at a riverside restaurant and visited the Sai yok Noi waterfall. I did not choose to do any other activity that afternoon although bamboo rafting and elephant riding is available. Verdict? Great value for money. Driver was very careful and the tour guide told us where to meet and at what time. Very picturesque but everyone has a camera on their phone these days. Chan the manageress was very honest about everything and speaks good English.

Great day out to floating markets and railway market. We spoke to Chan who is lovely and got this booked the next day for us. Also at a good price compared to online. It was fantastic to see the railway market. The floating markets were unfortunately very quiet due to covid most vendors werent open which was disappointing as we werent advised it would be this quiet...still a good experience but would have been good to go when it was busier however. Overall we still enjoyed the day :)

Whilst struggling to organise onward travel following an organised tour, I stumbled upon Canary Travel (via Google). We had left things until the last minute and didn't realise that a public holiday was coming up. Chan was fantastic! Initially, we communicated by email, with a variety of options and a clear explanation of what was possible. We then popped to the office to finalise plans and pay. Don't be put off by the setting, Chan was extremely professional. Chan provided her contact details and was supportive via WhatsApp, checking that we had got to our departure point and answering my queries. Fantastic service!

Amazingly awesome; That's how I described Chan to my wife. I had tried like crazy to book a flight to Singapore from Bangkok with my bicycle in tow. No matter which way I turned I just couldn't get it done. I saw Chan's reviews and said "let me go and see her". Within half an hour she had everything done, a contact name at the airport in case I ran into trouble (never did), and a very fair price. Amazing. I then booked two days of local tours with her. Great service! We booked a trip to Erawan National Park and a train ride on Death Railway. Pick up was from the hotel, all tickets, lunch and water were included in the price. We had a tour guide that reserved us best place at the train and shared great stories about the place we visited.

We found Canary Travel while struggling to book an overnight train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. The online site would not let us book our tickets. We went with a local solution and Chan came through! He even arranged for the ticket to be waiting at out hotel when we arrived. Chan also helped us book tickets to a Calypso show and was quick to answer questions and assist us with other travel needs.
