On persisting further he shouted to someone to help and asked us to wait. Presently a lady appeared who told us that her military boss said foreigners could not enter with flip flops and shorts!! I guess if we went back with said attire there would be another problem. Suggest spend your time more fruitfully!

This museum simply does not exist. The military only let me into the coffee shop. And so empty.

Ask the soldier guarding the Territorial Defense Command. Don't know the information.

Denied entry on a Tuesday, 10 am. Bangkok Museums writes: 'Do not be intimidated by the two armed sentries guarding the arched entrance to the building.' Hard not to be intimidated by two guys in uniform on military property holding rifles. They weren't menacing but they weren't helpful and offered no information as to when the museum is open, if at all. One of them crossed his arms in front of himself and said 'Pid', Thai for closed. I wouldn't try this unless you have a Thai speaker who can navigate this for you.

The visit to the King Rama VI Museum was short as it is a military museum and we were not allowed inside.

Request to visit denied even though I am willing to pay admission fee. Spend 15 minutes talking to their commander still no. Effort to travel here wasted.
