Despite lot of bad reviews, I would recommend this hotel as most staff members were responsive, spacious rooms and available all facilities. Hotel is an old one but maintains up to satisfactory level. Bathrooms should be upgraded. traveled with family and stayed 5 days. They provided early checking as well as early breakfast as we had to check out at 5.00am due to flight schedule. Overall experience was good and value for money.

Extremely bad hotel. NOT RECOMMENDED! 1. It's like a 10000 years old. 2. Cockroaches all over the place. I killed 11 of them in my 2 nights of stay. The staff couldn't care any less. 3. The staff is pretty ignorant, rude and non-attentive 4. The bed and chairs in the rooms are semi-broken. 5. The shower works like it has leprosy and dispenses water as it wishes. 6. Phone doesn't work I thought, this is my individual experience but i went to my relatives room (with whom we travelled). And it's the same issues there too.

The 4 star is just for name….. The rooms are dirty with beer bottles lying in out rooms. Plus the staff is so rude. They always ignore you when you ask for something and at the end they will ask for tip. Do not stay here. And if you are an Indian believe me they Hate Us. They think that we dont know how to use anythings and plus they keep deposits and to get back you need to hustle. Rooms are old types which opens with keys and plus the room colours are dirty and it does not give you a good feed. Not a worth penny. Stay at some other hotel. Trust me.

A big old hotel. Hotel is really old. The toilets are really old. They charged 1000 baths extra if you take guest with you at night. Really poor as we take two guest with us at night and they charged 2000 for this. Really one of the worst experience in this hotel. Don't book if you want to invite girls there. Hotel is like Jail. They fined for many things. Smoking is not allowed in rooms.

Poor hospitality and service. Edit 1: Worst reception team I have ever seen. They make you do half of their work and they have an intentional sarcastic tone of talking which is rather insulting. Do not argue with them, is my recommendation. When you ask them something they ask you the same question in a sarcastic and insulting way. Do not stay in this hotel even if with a tourist package. Rather opt for a better hospitality service hotel. The ratings reflect the reality for a reason.

The hotel is very old setup Not enough area for breakfast seating if there are too many people. Swimming pool is under construction as of now, don't know the date or reopening. No extra amenities given except towels. Room not having gallery

First of all not as expected as compared to other local Hotel. They are giving there worst. They are charging 3x for 600 ml water bottle. Swimming pool is not in operation. In my room there is bath tub but not storing water so its totally useless, I request them but no use. Blanket was so smelly. In India 2 Star hotel gives good service than this.

Gave 1 star for trying to scam the customers. My friend booked for test & go. After resulting positive on initial test, she was to quarrantine for 7 days which is covered by insurance. Even after proper understanding of the insurance policy, hotel still charged for more than 90,000 bahts for the quarrantine stay which includes ridiculous charges such as ambulance cost which was never used in the first place. That further escalates to pure dishonesty as the hotel refused to print the receipt in English. The above example charges were found out only after using google translate. The situation resolves when she tries to involve police. Extreme red flag. Avoid this hotel and saves the trouble and your precious holiday.

First of all Hotel infrastructure is very beautiful but rooms are old, i saw lots of bugs in the room. Flush was clogged every time we use.I will post some pictures of bugs. Moreover the receptionist was so rude as we requested her to give us nice view room she didn’t check it once and provided us with very tiny room but in our booking we booked a superior room. Ended we returned and got a bigger room as our booking. Here is some pictures of bugs in our room.

The hotel's amenities are excellent, and they include a complimentary breakfast. Centrally located. There are numerous nearby markets. We relished our stay. The only disappointment was finding some cockroaches in our room.

I had very bad experiences with the Bangkok Palace Hotel. I am a hotelier, worked in the capacity of General Manager in three countries. None of the staff are trained at all in the first place, starting from Bell Desk. Two friends and I stayed there for two nights, 1st and 2nd of July 2022. On the first night I had to speak to the Night Manager on a small issue. I was totally taken aback by the way he responded to me. He is completely unfit to sit on any of the chairs in the Hotel Industry. He was rough, adamant, ignorant, arrogant and what not! All the staff are alike as if this property is a monopoly one at Bangkok. But I felt a little comfortable when I spoke to the morning Duty Manager. He is a proper guy for the industry, I assume. Hence I suggest all who plan to go to Bangkok to take any other hotel for your stay. Even though the property looks nice, you will be definitely irritated once you check in.

The worst Hotel to stay in Bangkok. Have visited Bangkok 14 times in the last ten years and first time ever I have had a very bad experience. Staff is not polite, they're not responding to any questions. They're not bothered for Indian clients. They treat us as if we are staying for free. Even after booking a bigger room well in advance, we were given a smaller room with two single beds. Pros: 1. The only good thing about this hotel is that it's closer to shopping markets - Indira Market & Pratunam market. Cons : 1. Bathrooms are unhygienic 2. Cockroaches roaming freely inside the washrooms. 3. Few options in breakfast buffet 4.

Rooms and switches are old but all functioning well. No problems at all. I got the hotel for a very good rate so I cannot complain. They have a great morning Buffett spread, they have spa, swimming pool, gym ... Location is good too. Overall a great place to stay

Very very pathetic service. They don't even have a english speaking front desk team. I have asked for a sachet of sugar and they have asked me to goto nearby seveneleven shop to buy it. No proper room service. Was really a bad experience for me. I wont really suggest this hotel for your peaceful trip to Bangkok. Please think twice friends... before booking.

If there is a choice, I'll take the lesser star. A very bad and unfriendly personnel is mixed with outdated rooms and really bad conditions. Staff is Racist towards Indians even though 90 percent of their business is given by Indians. Rooms smell and Bathrooms are Outdated. I would Rather Check who has given 4 Stars to this hotel. Worst Hotel I have stayed in my life. OYO rooms are much better than this hotel. The most of the staff are beggars, and neither give extra water bottles, suggest that we have to buy them from the shops outside. There are no amenities worthy of a four-star hotel, so do not stay for even an hour. Please trust me when I say it's a waste of time. -Big key-operated doors, -Even without a remote for the air conditioning, -horrible restrooms -Please don't stay at this terrible, unwelcoming Hotel.

Reception people don't know English and it's a pure mess. Unable to understand anything. Poor communication. Rooms are good. Ac is strong. They keep security deposits 2000 Bhat for Indian tourist that's very bad. Indian shouldn't visit this hotel.

The swimming pool is in the 4th floor and there's chlorine smell everywhere in that floor. The top floors have a good view. There's same breakfast everyday. Not much variety. The air conditioning could have been better.

Stayed at Hotel Bangkok Palace from 1st May to 7th May 2023 with my family. Booked 2 rooms. The rooms are quite spacious and well furnished, however, for Indians staying at this hotel, the daily breakfast buffet meal is horrible. The breakfast buffet menu didn't change during our entire stay. It is a set Menu. The Indian dishes for the breakfast taste bland. The hotel can do exceptionally well for Indian tourist if they understand or are flexible in knowing the simple Indian dishes that can be served during breakfast. They only serve Fried and Sunny Side Up eggs. No flexibility to provide boiled eggs or an Omelette. If the hotel changes the breakfast menu, it will do wonders for themselves as Indian tourist will definitely recommend this property and will have repeat customers. Hope the hotel guest relations is reading my review and will do the needful.

Please think twice before booking this room as there are too many cockroaches in the room because of this we where not able to keep our bags opened. Staff's are irresponsible. They won't help you with any of the problem. No proper wifi. You can't even download a photo with there wifi. Even after requesting to resolve the issue they were asking us to come the next day and wifi issue was not resolved for 4 days Staff will laugh at you if you ask anything as if they are doing it for free. Room service is very bad. They won't even give plates if you won't order food from them Same worst Breakfast for 4 days. Menu didn't change at all. For veggies only bread and jam. The only good thing about the hotel is it's location.

Great service. Great location. Great food. Value for money. Stayed a week and really enjoyed breakfast and everything. Swimming pool is huge and really good gym too . The check in and check outs are really smooth and quick too. Value for money and highly recommend.

The hotel is very big and every time fully booked. But it’s not comfortable. The bed specially. The rooms are sort of okay to spend the night but you wont be able to experience luxury.

Booked specifically for the use of the pool. However, their pool facilities are closed DAILY at 5pm and completely closed on Sundays. The entrance is gated at midnight without any indication as to how to enter,.. so you have to walk around. Much of the hotel lobby is closed to the public, or so it would seem

Although the rooms are ok, the service can be improved. My request for extra towels is denied. Even though Indian food is available, the taste is very bad. But you can manage other meals at nearby Indian restaurants. This is very close to many stores including many 7-elevens.

The Hotel is big and has over 100 rooms. The rooms were clean. The swimming pool is good. The location is also good. Pratunam market is about a kilometer away. Metro station is less than one km. The reception area is not well lighted. The reception guys are not very friendly. The property is old but decently maintained.

The location of this hotel is the only good factor about this The hotel is at least 2 decades old and it is very evident in their interiors and rooms. Everything about this hotel is old, the bathroom equipments, the shower etc. the TV in some rooms are still plasma and older types. No type of upgradation has happened over the years. The food was decent, no complaints there, wifi was good.

It's an old 4 star hotel. Don't expect modern rooms. Superior rooms have coir mattress and deluxe rooms have spring mattress. Nothing much difference. AC cannot be adjusted and bathrooms are not up to the mark. Flush doesnt work properly

The food provided by the quarantine is not very good, except for this, the others are fine.

Rooms and facilities are okay but issue is with their breakfast. They repeat the same menu every day. If you are staying in this hotel for 7 days all 7 days you will get the same menu for breakfast. Very less option for Indians. Majority of their guests are Indians so Indian friendly breakfast items are highly recommended. We could see that 90% of the items they have kept for breakfast are untouched as Indians wouldn't eat it. Just wasting the food.

Nothing close to 4*... Bad furniture, tv not working.. stinky curtains . The floor staff (Mr Samuek) had better understanding than the front office manager.. We looked at pictures and experienced something else.. after long arguments to refunding our money (which they did not) I had to request them to change our room to a better room. We got a decent room post that but again nothing close to 4 star. Would suggest to pay a few hundred bhats more and go to the sky botique hotel. I'm the last person to write bad reviews but this is worth one.

Won't write much as its not worth it ! Hotel does not give you a welcomed feeling, main lobby looks shady and less bright, worst attitude of front reception desk Asst Manager with guests! Never recommending the same ! Good things about hotel : House keeping staff and bell boys and lift attendents were always good and smiling.

Worst hotel , I have ever stayed in. Staff is too rude and arrogant , rooms are fine but Air conditioner wasn't working and staff didn't even listen , first they mix up my bag with others though I tell them which bag was mine , It's just like they are doing favour on everyone living in their hotel 😂 I mean we are paying for it and surely it's not worth it.

Modest room and clean. This is a no frills place but with simple yet efficient setting for your stay in Bangkok. Friendly staff and also great location. This is not a luxury hotel so have realistic expectations prior to committing on your stay.

I had the opportunity to stay in a superior room type during quarantine. Due to the outbreak of covid 19, in my opinion, the rooms are of good quality, clean, reasonable price, despite being a long-established hotel. But* everything still looks new. Maybe because it has been updated.
