During my visit to Bangkok, I stayed at the Prince Palace Hotel, which was an incredible experience. The hotel has three wings, and their sheer size can be quite bewildering. The lobby is stunning, and the presence of two swimming pools made my time there even more enjoyable. The hotel also boasts a spacious gym and sauna facilities. One of the highlights was experiencing my first Thai spa, which left me in awe. Located in the heart of old Bangkok, the hotel offers easy access to various attractions, making it very convenient. Additionally, the food was outstanding, with a wide range of options available for the breakfast buffet. Overall, it was an amazing stay!

First for the positive. I liked the location. Close to taxis and shopping (it's in the largest clothing market). The rooms are also very spacious. Now for the negatives. This hotel should have been updated decades ago. It's falling apart. It clearly has not been maintained. It is also very dirty. Tons of dust bunnies, visible dirt, dirty toilet, shower with hair in it, and so forth. Also, a few bugs. The room service was minimal. They would leave clean towels and make the bed, but that's about it. I was there for about 7 days and they wouldn't even leave an extra soap. At the end I was washing my hands with the tiniest piece of soap. The so-so - although some staff are nice, others don't care much for the guests.

Good hotel, nice quality for money. The breakfasts are so delicious, they have wide range of products, that you can choose for making perfect breakfast for you. The parking is not really good, the space for hotel parking is on 11 level, so each time you have to go up and down, itโ€™s very inconvenient. On 11 floor they have pool, but it works only until 7 pm. Good position for the hotel. A bit old and faded, but still good hotel for cheap price

Very nice comfortable - old fashioned - hotel. Swimming pools very clean, super nice to cool down after a hot sweaty day in Bangkok. Gym bit old, but everything you need for a full body workout. The view over the city is amazing from each floor. We would highly recommend and definitely come back!

We stayed here for 3 days, and i must say this hotel is in the centre of all the tourist visiting places. Everything is nearby, even the shopping centre is right next to the building. There's a 7/11 convenience Store right at the end of the building. The staff are all kind and helpful. We loved the view from the building. They have a pool and a bar inside. The rooms are okay, and the stay is definitely worth the money. I would definitely stay here when I visit Bangkok again.

We initially booked the hotel for two days but when we stayed we decided to come back for another 2nights. Strategic location for shopping. Excellent customer service. Enjoyed dining in the hotels restaurant. Big size beds, soft and clean linen and fair size of hotel rooms made it worthwhile. Thanks to the helpful staff for providing for things that we needed at a quick pace. Had a memorable stay in Bangkok. Classy interiors and courteous staff worth the money for family stay. Thanks a ton!

The location is perfect! The hotel is not new but itโ€™s value the money because itโ€™s cheap. The reception stuffs are unfriendly and they are not professional for the hotel front. The room is big but the toilet is not clean as it should be. Fitness us old but there are enough for a good training session. Letโ€™s say there are lots of machines that you could train very well. The concierge supervisor named Mr. Somchai was so friendly & very helpful. He was not hesitate to help us. He lent us 400 bath for the taxi and he does not want the tip we wanted to give him in return. His team was also very nice and very helpful and much more friendly than the reception stuffs.

Itโ€™s a pretty picture until you look closer and everything is beaten, rundown and service is awful. Multiple lines of customers trying to check, and each person took over 20 minutes. Then when you finally finished checking in, the key does not even work and there is only one reception desk on for multiple towers of the hotel. Youโ€™re forced to run from one side of the building to the other because thereโ€™s no other method. Some towers are also for/have car parking and no direct exit so you must transfer elevator to get down to main lobby. Requesting for an extra pillow was the most tedious chore with multiple calls because will they confirm theyโ€™re going to do something and not show up. When you call to ask for an estimation of a service, they give you an attitude and is rude. Everything in pictures seems nice and then you actually check in to see everything stained, ripping, and dirtied. Random things lying and I cleaned. Donโ€™t even mention the bathroom towels stains. Would have preferred to pay more for better quality service and room.

Fantastic value hotel, with 2 lovely pools and amazing views with pool side food service. Great spa...had 4brilliant massages over my 3 night stay! Having seen a few bad reviews about it being a Tower block.. well it is obvious from the photos what you're booking. Great place to rest and recuperate after a 30 hour journey and from which to shop and explore. The rooms.are very spacious and comfy. Thanks to all the staff for being so friendly and welcoming too.

Do not book here. Itโ€™s 2,000 baht upon arrival. There were roaches and ants in the bathroom. They are racist and sexist. I spent a couple hours at the coconut pool. I wanted a coco and tiramisu. It took them 5 minutes to get me a menu and another 10 minutes looking my way, but did not serve me. I walked out and never went back to the pool. The room AC was horrible. I was hot most of the night. The housekeeper ladyโ€™s donโ€™t clean. The sheets were stained. They repeated the towels. Make sure you watch them give you new towels and not fold the ones you throw on the floor. They have 3 people organizing your room. I paid good money to stay here only to be treated badly and not get my room cleaned.

(some) staff are very nice. Rooms are old. The walls have damps, the furniture is from the 80s, but there's enough gold plated gaudiness to feel like you're staying in a Donald Trump's wet dream. I'm pretty sure North Korea has better wifi service than this hotel. Family suites have no microwave, and the kitchen closes early in the evening. If you're traveling with kids, and need to warm up your food late at night, you are outta luck. The front desk staff isn't helpful. I ended up going out at 1 am to get some food for my kids.

The hotel was pretty good. The rooms are clean and fresh, the breakfast is great and everybody can find something. At both pools you have much space. Special requests like early (2am) or late checkout (5pm) or breakfast to go were always made possible. The only thing to improve are the bathrooms which are pretty outdated. One time the shower kind of exploded when you turned it onโ€ฆ

This accommodation is far from four-star standards (at most in price). The hotel is a complex of 4 towers, which is difficult to navigate and if you have to go back to the room from anywhere, it is an unnecessary inconvenience. The room is old-fashioned and could do with a major renovation. The bathroom had a problem with hot water. The pool closes early - by the time you get back from the day's activities you can't use it. The hot food at the breakfast buffet was cold even when we went when the restaurant opened. Dinner in the inside restaurant is very slow to arrive, our order was sometimes forgotten. The reception still spoke some English, although we had difficulty understanding each other. The only way to communicate with the waiters was by pointing, as they spoke no English at all. They served better food by the pool, but all items were very expensive. I would not recommend this hotel in its current form at all.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this hotel. The water for showering was shockingly cold, making it impossible to enjoy or even endure. As if that weren't bad enough, the room was infested with beetles, creating an unsettling and unsanitary environment. I would strongly advise against staying here unless you enjoy discomfort and pests as part of your vacation.

Place is really good, loved their hospitality. Its huge and easily anyone can get lost. Pool is clean and have a great view of the city. I asked for air conditioning service at night and they helped me immediately. Though they might charge money for security reasons but its safe. I tried the food too, and breakfast was really great. And also I did my lunch and dinner and it was delicious. My recommendation would be try the Duck preparation and the burgers. They are lovely.

My family and I stayed there for a week while in Bangkok. The neighborhood is quiet and a lot of street food and market by the hotel. 10 min drive to the city center. I love the overall experience there and the hotel have a spectacular view of the city. When you stay there, you should definitely check out their spa facilities, they have half off happy hour from 10-12. The Chinese/Dimsum restaurant inside the hotel was also very good.

you want to know about the Prince Palace Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand? Sure thing! It's a really beautiful hotel that's located in the heart of the city. The rooms are really spacious and comfortable, and they have all the amenities you could want. Plus, the hotel has a lot of great facilities, including a swimming pool, fitness center, and spa. And the best part is that the hotel is really affordable, so you can stay there without breaking the bank! If you're looking for a great hotel in Bangkok, I'd definitely recommend checking out the Prince Palace Hotel. It's a really great value for the price!

Even before I booked this hotel I saw some reviews that were not great. However, these were balanced out by good reviews also. I booked an executive suit so, I canโ€™t speak for other rooms, but mine was fine. It was large, spacious, well decorated, light, 180 degree views of the city. The bed was comfortable and I slept well! The shower and bath both worked well with great pressure in the water. Considering the size of the room the air con worked well! The restaurant was okay with a good choice of food. Some dishes were slightly over priced but as a whole the food was good and the staff were helpful and friendly. I also had a spa while I was there. It was okay and the woman was nice. Again I thought it was over priced for Bangkok. However cheap compared to Europe. It was just short of 5k bhat for a body scrub, moisturise, massage and facial. There were little markets on the doorstep and close to a 7/11 which was useful. To go into the main centre or shopping was a few kilometres. However, taxi and Tuk Tuk was available. I found the guys operating the Tuk Tuks a little oppressive. I understand they have to find work. However, it was constant. Personally I didnโ€™t get a great feel from them. I like the shopping in Bangkok and especially the tailors you can get clothes made for you. They delivered to the hotel when they were done. The pools in the hotel were good and clean and used.

Classic 70s/80s hotel. The pictures on booking looked better than in real life. The hotel was smelly. Our room was old and not too clean. We found wrapping paper on the floor and stains on the mirror and hairs in the shower. There was no โ€œdo not disturb signโ€ and the button didnโ€™t work. The breakfast was good.

Rooms dated but has everything we needed. We have a 3 bedroom apartment and it's huge. Poolside bar and food options fantastic. Breakfast good. Shopping is absolutely brilliant has taken us a week so far to explore the hotel towers shopping plus shopping endless around hotel streets. Best shopping so far that I have experienced in Bangkok.

This hotel is located in the local market, you can buy clothes at a very reasonable price from there. Rooms are good and have all necessary facilities like a mini refrigerator, smart Tv, locker and many more. Staff is not cooperative at all, I have to bring luggage ๐Ÿงณ in room by myself. they don't understand English well, there is huge communicate barrier between customer and hotel management. You have to face difficulty while asking something from them because of the language barrier.

Can't recommend this Hotel! Very rundown, needs lot of attention to make it look more nice. The room itself was kind of clean but on the balcony was rubbish and cigarette bud's. On one day the pools were closed due to rain which really annoyed us on our two day stay. But the worst was the steam sauna! There was mold everywhere, ceiling wallpaper was coming of and it stank, don't recommend to stay in there even just for a few seconds! Very dangerous for your health. Can't believe its still open for the guests??!! (I attached a picture) The only thing I recommend is the hot tub with a nice view over the skyline.

Nice stay in a classic hotel probably built in the 70's. 3 towers, 2 pools. You can get lost here. The spaghetti at the pool restaurant was a joke. Just a little handful with formerly frozen clams. Actually an insult to serve this. The next day I had the club sandwich which was good. Nice stay overall. Famous Buddha and Pals Jazz bar is about 1 km away. I walked there peacefully.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Nothing about this hotel is 5 starts at all. The room are not the same as the picture, and the toilet is dirty. Service at the hotel is so bad, Iโ€™m quarantined here for one day, I ordered breakfast at 8:30 AM, itโ€™s 11:00 AM now and still nothing and iโ€™m not allowed to leave the room. Worse experience ever.

The hotel is cozy despite being outdated. I stayed here for 5 days and my room is maintained clean. Everyday my toiletries, water, coffee/tea are replaced. They change my bedding and my towels too. I am satisfied with my stay here. The location is exceptional since it allows you to easily travel around the heart of the city. Worth the price. โœ”๏ธ

Fairly close to town. Clothes market underneath in day time, 7/11 downstairs also. Rooms are a bit dated but are good for the value + great view. 2 nice pools and a big gym ๐Ÿ‘ Reception does take a while but it is such a big hotel this is expected. Will stay again soon.

Rooms (building D) was a bit outdated. Old bathroom, but it did the job. We were with 5p (3kids) and an extra bed fitted perfectly (we were lucky, it was without charge). It was possible to have an early check-in. Friendly staff. Before 9am there is a big clothes-market going on in front and around the hotel, very cheap prices compared to the touristy-markets.

I stayed in this hotel around 1998 in my 1st trip to Bangkok. It is a big 5 star hotel with a lot of amenities and facilities. There are a lot of shopping area nearby this hotel close to Patunam. The hotel has their own facilities such as massage parlour and saloon.

Quite underwhelmed by the hotel, not a 4 star by a long shot. Room needed renovating 20 years ago; ancient furniture, old dirty carpet. They hold 1000 Bhat deposit when you check in, don't know why, there's nothing in the room worth 1000 baht. Room service made our beds and changed our towels but did not clean the room. Toilet paper is not changed between guests. Reception girls were nice, but the rest of the staff weren't very helpful or friendly, I'd say bordering rude. In short..... not recommended!

The few benefits: Central location The lobby and facilities/pool are old but charming and nice, somewhat grandiose If the rooms maintained this quality I would be so happy to stay here again However, the rooms and halls smell like urine and you canโ€™t see out of the windows due to dirt and scum. The room we stayed in (tower b) was very old and unsanitary, stains and dirt everywhere and very dated. The piss smell is pretty full on, and difficult to get past Staff are friendly

Terrible. We didn't pay attention to the other low reviews - you should! We ended up checking out a couple hours after we checked in to find a different hotel, and they didn't seem surprised. As we were checking out there was also another guest asking to switch rooms. -There are apparently multiple entrances, and the one we were dropped off at didn't have anybody at the door or counter. There was a sign to go to the 11th floor, and then we had to walk across the whole building. That should have been the first red flag. -About half the outlets in our room and our friend's room did not work. I initially thought it was just my phone, but when our friend pointed out they had the same issue we realized it was just some of the outlets not working. -Outdated to say the least. Not in a "cute" kind of way. -Room smelled like cigarette smoke after AC was on. -No bugs in the room like others mentioned, but I am not surprised some had them after seeing the room. The room was not necessarily dirty, but did not feel pristine either.

Location is in the heart of Bangkok. Vendors were outside. Across the street is a currency exchange. The room is spacious. They have complimentary water. There was roaches for sure. The rooms are dusty as if they clean it once and that's it. Food was good. I enjoyed the food. They have a variety during breakfast. Would I sleep here again? Yes despite the bugs. Just make sure your stuff is not on the floor. One down side was no trash liners at all. They expect you to put any tissue trash that you used for bathroom to put it in the trash. But no liners. It was kinda gross with no liners. Not sure if that's how they run things.

It located in the middle of clothes bazaar, but The hotel environment was very calm and quiet, the rooms were clean and almost modern, it has a nice outdoor pool, the staff were very kind and helpful. Being close to the ferry bus is one of the biggest advantages of the hotel, which I recommend that you definitely use it. Your distance to these ferries in water channel is less than five minutes by walk

A vast hotel with a bit of a confusing layout. The room we stayed in (a suite) was a little past its prime, with wallpaper peeling off and the window letting in some rain during a torrential rain. Views and location was great, central but quiet, while the gym and swim ing pool were fine.

the room is decent but the showers flood, the staff are super helpful and friendly but the room is very outdated. There was one plug socket which looked like an accident waiting to happen. Clearly a lot of effort has been put into some areas of the hotel and not others. Some areas are extremely old and dirty whereas the breakfast area has a sparkly chandelier. The room was decent but the beds were like rocks. We appreciate your help arranging transport

This hotel was lovely. It was immense and I'm not sure if I had the opportunity to see everything but what I did experience was beautifully decorated. My room housekeeper made up my room in such a wonderful way that it was a pleasure to return to it after an exhausting day walking around Bangkok. A wonderful young lady checked me in. She was extremely professional and really listened to me. At checkout another lovely young lady named Nuan assisted me. She was quick, efficient and very pleasant to work with. Nuan was also very sweet and kind.

Prince Palace is my second home away from home. The executive suites are perfect for a long stay. Staff is friendly, professional, attentive, caring. Pretty ordinary for star hotel. My main dissatisfaction was how they packed breakfast for us. I had early morning flight, they said they would pack breakfast. They packed in very nice box but inside it was just small croissant, juice and small piece of sweet. For the price they took for breakfast, I would say they scammed us. The room had power plug which was far away from bed and located in very difficult place in the room. The English level for staff was below average as it was a star hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for about 1 and a half weeks, The location is good but not the best if youโ€™re looking for waking distance to the mall but on the good side they have a lot of street food and clothing as well on the side of the hotel as well as a 7/11 right behind the hotel. The rooms depending on which tower you get B and C are by far the bestโ€ฆ Tower A is very outdated and the rooms are creepy feeling. The staff are very very nice and friendly and their service is 10/10 also the manager Kampong, Heโ€™s very professional and nice and friendly and has helped me with everything I had problems with, His service has met my standards and satisfaction!! Not the best experience really unfortunately the WiFi in the rooms is very low and if you need to work off a laptop it can be very annoying the hotel in general is a little tired but with the current situation I understand it on a tight budget. The gym was very good and both pools were fine. It's got no night life around the hotel so you will need to travel for that. It's cheap and did the job until I needed to move on.

We stayed at Prince Palace Hotel and liked our stay. I have to say that the Hotel has seen it's finest days as the overal state of the hotel seems to be declining. The working flow is still much like the 90's where everything is processed by hand and paperwork, which leads to unnecessary ques at the reception. Also parking is a hassle.. you have to stop by the reception everyday to scan your parkingcard which is valid for 24hr. If they would renovate the hotel and train their staff up to today's standards then Prince Palace would still be very relevant. The "old almost vintage" look has its charms but is in need of some serious cleaning and repairs. We also had 2 tv's that did not work, 1 cockroach and internet that was very unstable. The room we rented was the superior room and it was very spacious for the two of us. We liked the bedroom and living room layout and suited us perfectly. The swimming pools were fine but the fitness was very, very outdated and so was the equipment that was available. Safety might be an issue and the fitness could definitely use a complete overhaul. I do want to highlight that the fitness staff was very kind and helpful towards the guests. The hotel is huge and because some of the empty spaces, and even entire floors are not being used at all, it can be a little creepy. We went up to the 19th floor by accident and it was like a scene from a horror movie where the light was flickering on and off where as the entire floor was abandoned. At the current state of the hotel, we would only stay here again when there was a good promotion.

This hotel is a labrinth and you could easily get lost here. No clear signage for anything including how to find the lobby which is on the 11th floor of the residences section. Slow check in. Harassed staff, plenty of guests, noisy, more like a market which is where it is located. Be warned that they require a 1000 baht deposit in cash though you may be paying half that amount for the room rate. Rooms are old and dated and maybe worth the price. Bathrooms have bathtubs and no shower stalls. Not a hotel to come back to

Well, you have to set the right expectations. The facilities are excellent. Nice swimming pool(s), a good gym, nice views. The rooms simply aren't fancy. For the price this is a ridiculously good deal

The hotel is huge, with four towers, large rooms, large lobbies everywhere. The decor is a bit dated but then I guess you could expect that from a hotel that has been around for a really long time. The swimming pools are great? It has a spa and large gymn located next to one another. Massage facilities also there. Breakfast was quite good with reasonable choices. We enjoyed our stay there. Perhaps the only thing that was troublesome is that its located in a somewhat quiet neighbourhood. Nothing much after 7, 8. Almost all teh local shops close down. Overall it is nice and I would stay there again.

Prince Palace is an amazing hotel with a very rich feeling infrastructure. The rooms are quite spacious and gives you a luxury feeling in quite cheap price. The location of the hotel is also good with all the important things accessible just outside. There is a market and 7-11 shops situated just outside. The breakfast buffet is also good. Pool view is very amazing.

I found a really sweet deal for a room. It was clean, it smelled good, the bed was very comfortable and the restroom was quite good. A really good experience but I'm not sure I would go there if there wasn't a good deal on the room. Also it was very nice that the check-in time was until 12 in the night.

A massive hotel consisting of three towers. The spacious and well decorated reception lobby is in the 11th floor while the hotel rises upto the 31st floor. Found the room and washroom to be spacious and had all the amenities. The complimentary breakfast layout happened to be extensive with food items ranging from Continental to Oriental cuisines. The swimming pool area turned out to be my favourite spot for relaxation. Overall enjoyed the stay.

This hotel is situated perfectly for visiting all of the sights of Bangkok. However, there are very few food options in this area, and none that we found were practicing food safety of any kind. Despite our best efforts, we ended up sick in our room for the majority of our stay. The rooms had a strong odor. The windows don't get cleaned and neither do the drains in the sink and shower. That said, the linens were clean and the housekeeping stuff were lovely. All meals in the hotel are pricey for Thailand and the ones we had were alright, nothing to write home about, except the bathroom trips afterwards.

Not a good location. If I had known I would have spent more money per night and saved money not using taxis.. left some stuff in the safe including cash and it was all returned so thank you very much for that ๐Ÿ™ not a quality buffet breakfast as some of the items like fried eggs and pancakes were not only not hot but actually chilled. Poor variety of foods as well. The hotel is beautiful in many ways and grand in a way but a bit stretched out with multiple towers long hallways and multiple elevator switches, like go to this floor and walk a mile to another set of elevators to go higher to your room..

Mon at grand palace hotel massage was incredible, 10/10 i would come back! She was very receptive to changing the pressure to what I wanted, the head and neck massage turned out to be a full body message and front desk offered us happy hour rate although it was past Happy hour time. Overall very relaxing, thank you Mon!

I love this hotel and I've stayed here 9 nights. It has great balance between what they offer/ location/ facilities. In the middle of Bobae Centre it was great as I had the best prices for clothes, you have fruit market just across the hotel and you are close to some other hidden food gems of Bangkok. And the view from the 11 floor, with the pool is amazing! :)

I had to book this hotel since my other bukng got cancelled..... But fortunately turned out to be good. Yes ! The hotel is old but kudos to the team that has been maintaining it at its best... Be it the cleanliness or the room service... .. Everything was so perfect except for the entire property being old but it has its own charm. The rooms were clean... Well kept and service so prompt even though it was a huge property with so many rooms

Lovely, massive hotel. We found it quiet, but there were also events taking place here. Good for people who like something a bit more oldfashioned. Restaurant prices make little sense, there are restaurants a bit further away but still in walkable distance that are a fraction of the prices.

!DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! My family and I, arrived at the Prince Palace hotel after travelling for a full 24hours. Exhausted and frustrated we were met with unwelcoming and unhelpful staff. No one offered to take our luggage, check in took over an hour and we felt as if we were annoying the check in staff. Whom were visually irritated by our arrival. The hotel is a maze, no one helps you to your room nor are we given any directions, we are told to follow the signs. The hotel is outdated, in desperate need of a makeover. The rooms are dirty, after spending 2 nights out of our 5 nights here. We are leaving. We aren't even going to inform the staff as they most likely won't notice - just how disinterested they are in their job. We don't even dare asking for a refund for our last 3 nights. Breakfast is terribly under staffed and under stocked. Cutlery runs out every half hour. Both mornings I had to pick dirty cutlery off of other guests tables and clean it myself. They rudely kick you out at exactly 10am. Never have I experienced such poor service. A lady walks around ringing a bell while the staff turns all the food off and rushes it all into the kitchen. On top of this all, the building smells, the aircon is compact with dust which has made my entire family sick. DO NOT STAY HERE!

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Very cool Cafe! We went there for a snack. You have to take any two items from the menu per person to sit and the only thing I did not like is that they make you pay on advance. Food was very good and waiters were very nice and helpful. They let us take all the pictures that we wanted. A bit overpri...
