Doesn't feel like a Novotel property at all. The lobby, the rooms, the washroom.. nothing like Novotel. The rooms are ultra compact, the interior also feels like a low budget hotel. Nothing in the fridge.. absolutely nothing. The towels provided were worn and torn.. no dental kit, no slippers, no iron board. For a sec, I seriously thought if Novotel has started a new chain of Budget Hotels. The only positive was the staff who could speak good English and the location. To be honest, you can get better value and luxury at half the cost. Not coming back!

Location wise it is good. But as a Novotel Property it must have much to offer. Buffet breakfast vegetarian options very limited. Expectations were high seeing the number of indian cutomers. Also bathrooms needs to improved it has water logging issues.

There is a good quality price relation.

The brand name says it all. Being there at the topmost room, watching the city view, had a dream to spent a night in Novotel, had a conception of something big about this hotel. Rooms are clean enough, much more spacious, even do have a good views. Location wise, this hotel will score 10 on 10. In my stay, breakfast is undoubtedly good, but not that great. Rooms are high tech enough, well maintained in terms of decor, hygiene, cleanliness.

This was my second stay. I would say in 2 months time the service and facilities are getting bad. Location: Good location Rooms: The drainage in the shower was horrible. All basic amenities you need to ask, Wifi - No network, even after complaints when technician installed room router still not able to correct. Room AC - Temperature control does not work, either too cold or you need to switch off the Aircon. Breakfast: The option is very basic, even much worse than previous visit. Service staffs are not excellent but much better than amenities.

I don't have any complaints because I don't want a lot at a low price. But if it improves a little, it will be more popular with many people. 1, I don't have basic amenities, but I got it because I asked for slippers, toothbrushes, and razors. Slippers should be provided as a standard because they are carpet floors. 2, There are a lot of comments about the sink. If the facility staff invests a few days in the entire room, everyone will be happy.

Amazing hotel for the price. Really fun weekend away for a couple. The shower wall has a switch which makes it see through from the bed!

my husband and I spent 14 days there. First transfer from the hotel worked. We upgraded straight to the suite. about 500 euros more for the 14 days. If I had known that the suite was in such poor condition, I would have politely declined. - Neither the sinks nor the shower ran out of water. (was complained about, no one took care of it) This was particularly unpleasant in the shower when you showered the night before and wanted to shower again the next morning... you were standing in yesterday's water. -Cleanliness was a foreign word. Cleaning supplies were also left in the bathtub. -There was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke coming from the bathroom. In the room below or above us, someone probably smoked on 5 days out of the 14 days. Very uncomfortable when you have the bed right next to you. This was also complained about, nothing happened. -The electrics in the room didn't work either. Lights rarely came on or were defective. -The room also felt very clammy. Breakfast: Absolutely inadequate for a 4 star hotel: All the juices tasted super artificial. There was almost no choice of jam or other toppings. No matter what time the selection was partly empty, for example only two slices of sausage or just a spoonful of jam. The waiters' feet could be shod while walking and clearing away. I then booked a transfer for my parents who were visiting this hotel for 5 days. My parents arrive at the airport -> no transfer there. My parents were at the airport for almost 2 hours until the transfer showed up. But only because I loudly asked for a replacement. Bar: One evening a waiter came to the table. at another you had to go to him to order something. Just as he wants. As you can see above, contact with reception was absolutely impossible because they couldn't do anything. After complaining repeatedly, I was asked to write an email to management. I did this and no one responded. You can see that the hotel is not interested at all. In short, the worst hotel I've been in so far. Never again. Of course, you only get the usual standard text in response to the reviews. This was to be expected and suggests the grievances in management.

Underwhelming room but for Bangkok a lot of time is spent out exploring anyway. Bed comfy and firm. Water pressure low and Luke warm. Fruit smoothies are great (esp banana berries yum) however took an hour to get to us at the pool. Location was in business district but so easy to get to places via bts, tuck tuck, or taxi. Service a little basic for a 4star hotel and staff spoke so quick you have to ask them to repeat

Nice & compact hotel in Silom area. Located in a very good location, easy to access. Parking area is outside the building but very short walking distance. Services are okay but could be better. Lack of experience staff especially during breakfast buffet and sometimes at the front desk. Room was okay but the air-conditioner cannot control, we need to turn it off from time to time. The city view from room was great

Well an awesome stay at the hotel which as quite a good location in the Bangkok city. Rooms are good with excellent facilities. Good facing rooms allows your view to be fantastic that gives the city view at good height. Breakfast served has ample options for anyone to enjoy it with good view as restaurant is located at good height. Swimming pool is also at rooftop which gives scenic view. Would definitely be recommending one if one is looking for good 4star property.

This is a great hotel located near Sky bar and to a lot of street food spots. Not quite a family hotel just because their rooms aren't prepared to have an extra bed for kids. Still I would recommend it.

Stayed here for a business trip. Service was good. Room is a little old but for the price, it's good enough. Location is also ok. 7-11 nearby and a supermarket. I only have one minor complain about the toilet tap! It's oddly placed and when you wash your hands, water goes outside the sink.

This hotel is perfect for a short, no fuss stay in Bangkok. I booked a room for new years eve very last minute with no problems. My room was a little small and dated but I got the last room available so I was happy. I'm sure the larger room types are better and more modern. The hotel was clean and the lobby staff very friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff were exceptionally helpful in letting me use their vaccum to vaccum pack my clothes. Overall I would stay again for a short trip but probably in a larger room type.

This hotel had a decent looking lobby, so I expected a basic 4 star hotel however the room was disgusting. The hotel room was dark, moldy and dirty. I purchased a shower curtain to put on the bed so I didn’t have to sleep on it. We stayed one night and found a nicer place to stay.

I used to stay here many times before. This time, I had to leave the hotel one day earlier and move to a different place. The hotel is getting worn out, and it's visually obvious. The so-called Suite 1501: terrible smell from air conditioning system from 00's (I bought two air fresheners, but it couldn't save the situation), horrible smell from bed sheets, nasty-looking carpets with stains and something sticky everywhere, cheap Chinese TV in one room, green plastic trash bins, and so on. Ladies on reception and guys from room-service are welcoming and amazing, but rooms need renovation immediately.

As a warning to other travelers, when I checked in there was no high-speed Wi-Fi. I was only able to get ~1 mbps speeds in the room and ~3mbps in the lobby. Ethernet also did not appear to be working. The hotel staff was helpful but I ended up having to check out and find another hotel. Hopefully the hotel is able to improve the Internet going forward.

Didn't like anything except the walkable distance to Indian restaurants. Staff was not cordial and room was very small with average washroom. Also check in check out time doesn't have any flexibility. For couple of hours late check-out we were charged extra even though we requested that it was due to some unexpected circumstances. Overall an average stay.

I had an amazing experience at this establishment, starting with the absolutely delicious truffle soup. The service staff were exceptional, providing attentive and friendly service throughout my visit. Although the food options were not extremely diverse, each dish I tried was expertly prepared and bursting with flavors. While a few dishes could benefit from some minor adjustments, the overall dining experience was fantastic. The place exuded cleanliness and offered a convenient and comfortable setting. Additionally, the relaxed ambiance, perhaps due to the fewer customers, created a tranquil atmosphere that enhanced my enjoyment. I highly recommend this place for a delightful culinary experience.

The novotel bangkok silom Road is a perfect silom hotel . it is also conveniently located near several skytrain and bus stops, a good shopping and restaurant district, and also close to Oreintal and Taksin pier. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was so very nice and helpful, both in terms of answering questions and providing service when we needed it, but also by offering assistance and information about the area. I definitely recommend it! it is truly value for money.

Money was Stolen- I checked into the hotel on Dec 22, 2022, for one day and the next afternoon was my check out. My husband and I went out in the morning for shopping. While we were out, someone from the hotel staff (cleaning or anyone else) came into our room and our money (12710 INR) was stolen. When we returned to India and unpacked our bags, we were shocked by knowing that the money was stolen from our check-in baggage. We contacted the hotel and informed them of our situation. They asked us to call back after 30 minutes, we contacted them again after an hour and the staff refused that no one had taken anything from our room. But we are sure about this that someone took out the money because before leaving the hotel I saw the amount in my bag and after that it wasn't there. The mistake we made was that we didn't lock out our bags. Sometimes we see that the hotel cleaning staff checks in the room when you are not there, this does not look correct, the hotel should change its policy. We never expected this from a reputed hotel. This was really very disappointing.

If you are looking for short term staying, a decent place to shower and sleep over. This is a good option with affordable price range. It locates right opposite to famous Lebua the state building, and with walking distance to Michelin star pork knuckle for breakfast.

The reception staff is very professional and helpful. I would like to compliment one of your trainee staff James Teerayut who's very professional handling our check in and check out during our stayed at your hotel. He's very polite, friendly and always smiles welcoming guests at the reception. Great customer service and we will definitely will come and stay at your hotel again and good recommendation to others!

The room is good and the check in process was okay. But the staff show the general hostility that you see around Thailand for Indians. They are more receptive to the queries of my western counter parts but my requests are either ignored or received with hostility. We couldn't even stay peacefully at the pool because the staff kept staring at us and checking on us. It was just ridiculous. We are not second class citizens just because we are from India . I did not book a branded hotel to be put through this. Highly disappointed with the hotel and the country of Thailand as a whole.

Pre covid, it was a nice place and we liked to come here, but this time it was probably our last visit. The whole place is worn out... Carpets are very used and not very clean, the towels are thin, worn and though freshly washed, the bed sheets and towels had stains. The hot water was not really hot and the aircon was so noisy that we wanted to change rooms, but the aircon in the alternative room was just as loud. All kinds of stuff was stored in the fire exit staircase and only removed after I escalated it to the front desk manager. Though there was sufficient staff(5) during breakfast for ca. 30 tables, one morning 14 tables were not cleared and 8 not ready for use. the rest was occupied. The gaps in the breakfast buffet were not filed for quite a while, so the selection was poor.. Looking at the price, it was probably 4 stars value for money, but if you are used to Novotel standards, it's probably only 2 stars.

If you are arriving early, book somewhere else. Their service is so bad, they did not even try to check if there is a room available for early check in. They waited until 2pm (sharp) to give us our room. I know it's their right but it is not even the season and the hotel is empty. I haven't seen that many ppl checking out, they simply didn't bother to give us our room before 2pm.

Beyond expectations! Though the hotel is old but the interior condition is nice, more than acceptable. The front desk service was so fast during the checkin process, the receptionist even says sorry for keep me waiting for just about 10mins (also acceptable). The door of my room was not locked automatically so you can just enter the room without the card key, i reported immediately and leave the room with all my stuff inside to the room boy, when i got back at night the door was repaired n nothing missing.

Very subpar room. No proper lighting, hardly functioning TV, stains on the sofa and mediocre toiletries. Funky smells and intrusive loud music from the Maggie Choo bar below. The "welcome drink" provided only gave us the cheap canned sodas rather than the standard, albeit simple cocktails. The lobby service was also very mediocre for an Accor establishment. Luggages were strewn everywhere with people overcrowding. Rather than getting help from the staff to book metered taxis for you, like what some hotels and condos do, you'll get bombarded with touting taxi drivers, salespeople and drunk people from the Maggie Choo bar outside.

I got impassible cold service from hotel front with careless. No bellboy to take care of my suitecase and things . The lobby look old and dirty dark and terrible. I thought this is not Novotel but 3 stars local hotel. Eventhough I booked room before. Hotel said my room will available for me on 23.00 O'clock. I have to go city walk waiting for my room. There must have guest checking out late. And after I got room I have to wait for towel for 1 hour by calling the hotel to bring towel myself. The hotel front forgot it. OmG. The room has abit smell. The toilet is so dirty. sink cannot drain out the water. Towel is so old gray color and torn. This hotel make me disappointed. Must be counterfeit of Novotel. The hotel logo look same real Novotel but the service and quality not.

This is the worst novotel or accor hotel i have till date experienced (i am a gold member of their loyalty program). The hotel has extremely old infrastructure , washrooms are dirty, the faucet doesnt has drain cap into it, giving sneakpeek of the dirty pipes. The in room refrigerator was not workong so had to call engineer who replaced it, but left the spare parts inside room. The room carpet and walls were stained. Overall a BIG NO for this hotel

  • 1/5 Norman C. 1 year ago on Google
Stains populate every corner of the room. The scent is less than enjoyable, and the most disappointing part of checking out immediately was the terrible service that defined our 20 minute-long stay. The baggage handler tossed my bags to the point that I took them out of the person's hands, especially after the individual attempted to box me out of doing the job they were supposed to be doing. This was after having to ferry our bags into the hotel in the first placeβ€”no service would've been better than a frustrating encounter of uncalled for impoliteness. Ridiculous and disappointing for both the Novotel and wider Accor brands.
