Very sad to change my 5 star review from 4 years ago to a lower rating. This place lost so much of it‘s high quality and is just not the same no more. On our booking they said that we can check in at 2 PM. However we arrived at 2:10 PM and the first thing we were asked for was to pay the deposit. After we paid they told us the rooms are not ready yet because they not have enough staff at the moment. After a long journey you just wanna relax and take a shower so that was already very disappointing. We asked for a time when we should come back but the lady was very stressed and could not answer our question. We went out and came back at 4.15 PM (more than 2 hours after the check in time that we paid for) and the room was still not ready. We were not the only guests with this problem, there were about 8 other people waiting for check in in the lobby. Everyone was annoyed and it was a really bad experience to start my holidays. They didn‘t offer an upgrade to a better room category or a free drink at the bar and not even really apologized for this situation. When we arrived in our room we realized that it was not cleaned very well and the towels had a bad smell. Warm water & water pressure was also bad. When we checked out we mentioned everything and they offered a 20% discount and a free drink which was nice from them. I felt like the manager took our complaints serious but the bad experience already happened so the damage was already done. There are a lot of good hotels in this price category so think twice before booking this hotel.

I would not recommend. Staff tries to be helpful but it's clear they have not been given proper training in line with the arbitrary 5-star rating. We got off a long flight only to step into the lobby to be greeted with a "we don't have a room ready" followed by a request to pay the guarantee - I was not expecting our room to be ready at 7am but a social greeting at first meeting would have been nice. The check in experience was less than desirable. The breakfast floor decor was also a bit cringe. My recommendation is not to be fooled by the 5-star description and upgrade to a more recognisable brand with proper hospitality if we're flying thousands of miles to be here.

We checked out of the hotel after just one night because of how poorly maintained it was. Its faux antique decor is crumbling, paint peeling, furniture chipped, moulding cracked and bathroom worn down. The gym was flooded, water pressure was poor. They need to review their slow check-in procedures. Check-in took us 40 minutes with just one couple in front of us. Major disappointment and totally not up to MGallery standards.

Complete disaster at front desk. I booked the Test and Go package with food, arrived at the hotel at 8:40pm, lady took her time processing everything, and then I ask about dinner and she says it is 9:10 and the restaurant closed at 9pm, and there is absolutely nothing she can do about it. No explanation about anything about the hotel, restaurant, pool area or about quarantine, just got a key and room number. I ask about the PCR test, they tell the doctor will arrive at 11-midnight. After midnight I asked again, and they say that doctor will arrive at around 3am. The longer it takes, the longer I have to wait in quarantine. I am starting to regret booking this hotel for the Test and Go scheme, and in general it all seems quite unprofessional. *Edit - nurse should arrive at 5am now for test. **Edit - I was just told that they will send me back my hotel deposit within 7-14 days. Normal is within 24 hours. Ridiculous. This hotel should really get it together

Classy 5-star hotel with 4-star management. Err, can someone explain me these; 1- How come a minibar of a 5-star hotel can be empty? If minibar is empty then why there is a ‘deposit’ charge? But seriously, why the minibar is empty? 2- How does the rooftop work? During our visit, we went there two times. First, we couldn’t enter as there was a ‘private’ event. Sorry but it’s a 5 star hotel. So customer first. And second time, there was literally no one at the entrance. So we stalled like 5 mins then went back to the elevator. Summary: We would love to stay again if management realizes that it’s a 5-star hotel (and arguably expensive than competitors). Besides, room service is great, concierge is okay, ground floor restaurant is perfect, rooms and interior design are awesome.

Completley run down hotel with zero respect towards Diamond members of Accor. Prices are higher when you call the hotel, been told to book over the website. As others complain already the hotel should have not been opened up before they do a refurbishment and train specifically the Check in staff at the hotel how to behave in a professional manner. A longer more into details review will follow. Want big money but no service is provided and this in a hospitality business??

It was our first time in Bangkok and the hotel was in the perfect location for us. The taxi to China town and other parts were fairly reason able. It was close to the subway, which was a great use of transport for us too. The hotel itself is lovely and designed in great style. We had a few drinks at the rooftop bar a few times and the views are amazing. The staff were friendly and supportive throughout our stay. We felt very welcomed by everyone. Only downside was their WiFi connection -it wasn't always the best.

Spacious room with good furniture and comfortable beds. The shower is good. Good water pressure. Good separation of shower room and toilet. The ambiance of the hotel is more dark and mainly black colour background with European style vibes. There are many painting or art decoration along the hallway.

Beautiful boutique hotel and the most exquisite accor group hotel I have stayed in in Bangkok. However, the hotel just reopened and there were insufficient staff at the front desk, the kitchen and the house keeping. The queue was more than 1.5hours for me even though I am a platinum member. The breakfast was mediocre at best and ultra slow. The restaurant manager was particularly help and did his best but there isn't much when there are insufficient kitchen and serving staff. In fact the owner had to deploy staff from other hotels to assist. I think the stay would be more enjoyable when the services are complete but certainly not my current stay.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any stay. This site will compare countless booking websites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is one of my favorites in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you choose this place you won't be disappointed. Great hotel and very nice staff. The rooms are very big. The infinity pool was also very much appreciated. We had cocktails at the rooftop bar which provides great views. The room was a little dark though.

This hotel definitely has potentials with its unique concept and the location is nice too, but I have bitter taste about the management of this hotel. I have a feeling that the management are cheaping out on the staff and the quality delivered to the customer. There are definitely some maintenances to be done in the room. For example the rain shower in our room didn't work work while I couldn't be bothered to address the issue and switch room during the stay I was ready to tell dad at the checkout but no one asked me how my day was so I never got the chance to explain about the problem. The cocktail in the rooftop bar tasted like water which I felt that they're trying to get away cheap here too. Overall the hotel staff at the hotel tried their best to help the customers but they seemed a bit insecure which is another reason why i have a bad gut feeling about the management of the hotel. If your staff are happy and content at work, the customers can feel it too please improve the working conditions for the employees and start investing in the property again.

Great hotel. Beautiful design with big attention to details. Good breakfast. We stayed in the hotel with Test and Go program. We made the test around 7 p.m. and the results were ready at 6 a.m. next day so we were free to go even before waking up. Small comfy swimming pool with beautiful view. Great location 👌

I just checked in and only got upgraded one category to a room same size like the one I booked. I had to ask for welcome voucher and there was no welcome fruit in the room. The room doesn’t have much of a view and the aircon is very noisy. I hope I can sleep tonight. This is Yama Executive room, but there is no espresso machine and the minibar is empty. In the morning we try to call in room dining or reception to order breakfast but no answer for 5 minutes now. The free flow snacks buffet and drinks in the skybar 16:30-18:30 is amazing Accor Plus Diamond member

The rooms are spacious and clean. A pool with a view which was great after a long hot day. The speakeasy bar on the 24th floor had terrific views. The drinks and canapes were delicious. The location is about 600m from the nearest metro.

Stay there throughout my 5 days trip. Was amazed by the design and deco of the hotel. Love the ambience and the exquisite look of it. Unlike those big hotels always or almost the same. Staffs is very polite and helpful even though they are under staff. Breakfast is OK but limited variety. Can be better. Overall I will stay here again. Keep it up team Muse.

Love the location of the hotel and decoration. However, the first day we had breakfast, we had to confirm with the staff (the lady) three times that breakfast included for our room. The third time, she came to our table demanded us to pay for the breakfast, and she did not apologize at all after she discovered the truth. So my sister and I did not feel good and skipped the last two days breakfast.

The staff are amazing, and the room is nice. The bed and bath are the best I've experienced in a hotel. Lift is usually pretty full and slow. The food at Babette's is the best, best steak I've ever eaten!

Our stay at the hotel was very pleasant. A great arrival after a long flight from Europe. Really enjoyed having the gym and the pool with an outside area. The room was very spacious and beautifully designed with a nice view (stayed on the 14th floor). The staff was super friendly and very helpful. We also really enjoyed the nice and clean area around the hotel with lots of green areas and parks, little green oasis in the big urban jungle of Bangkok. I'll definitely stay at the hotel again and would recommend it to anyone staying in Bangkok for some days.

From the moment I stepped foot inside 'The Muse' I was impressed beyond expectations. The staff were amazing, friendly, attentive, accommodating and highly professional. This hotel was exceptional from start to finish. I stayed in a King suite which was superb. My first experience in Thailand was this and I could not have been more impressed. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great location, and price for the level of service and room sizes. The service really puts it over the top though! The members complimentary for daily drinks and canapés at the rooftop bar during sunset, is a lovely feature.

Beautiful hotel in a convenient part of the city. Staff are very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We arrived before check in time and they were graciously willing to safely hold our bags and get us checked in as soon as they could. The hotel has a lovely rooftop pool and it also has a nice restaurant and bar on a high floor as well. We loved everything about our stay and wish we could have stayed longer! Only thing that we found a bit tricky was that it was hard to call Grabs from that spot (not sure why) but there were lots of tuk tuks around and when needed, the staff helped us call a taxi. They also helped us set up early morning transportation to the airport.

Great location. Fairly central. Plenty of eating places within an easy walk. Pool is not huge and sometimes gets a little busy. I'm sitting beside it currently at 11am and am the only one here. Atmosphere is great and it doesn't feel like a big chain hotel at all. Very friendly staff. Breakfast is great with lots of variety.

Hotel Muse is my favorite hotel in Bangkok. It’s a unique hotel with a different style. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bellhops go out of their way to make sure they order you a nice car or a taxi. They make sure you are going to the correct destination and being charged fair. The rooms are nice. But the bed could be updated a bit and my room smelled like someone had been smoking inside of it. But once the AC was on. The smell went away. They have two excellent restaurants: Italian and steakhouse. The food option, the taste and quality is excellent and am happy to give it the chefs kiss. Their buffet breakfast style is by far the best I have seen in Bangkok. Multiple food options and specials at a fair price. The food is delicious. Same goes for the Italian and their steakhouse restaurants.

The room is spacious, bed is comfortable & the location is very ideal as there are massage centers & restaurants nearby that we can explore within walking distance. However, room cleanliness need to be improved especially the dark glossy design of the room make the dust very noticeable and the lighting in the washroom is too dark for me to put on make up. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and will definitely return next round to enjoy more on the hotel facilities.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at Hotel Muse in Bangkok. The hotel's beauty and elegance left us in awe. The comfortable bed, rooftop pool, and bar with stunning views were highlights of our stay. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. They even decorated our room to congratulate us on our honeymoon! The delicious breakfast was a great start to our days in Bangkok too. If you're seeking a perfect stay in Bangkok, this is the place to be.

Gorgeous hotel! The room was beautiful and they kept everything stocked and pristine, not to mention the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They will also call a taxi for you and ensure that you are not getting ripped off by drivers who price gouge tourists who are unfamiliar with taxi rates. It's in a great location with many fun and interesting places to visit and eat within reasonable walking distance. We'd love to come here again when we come back!

Love the decor and theme. But rain shower sounded like it was about to fall on me. Water pressure for rain shower also terrible. Tried contacting hotel on FB but didn't get a response. Otherwise room and lobby were gorgeous, and staff were friendly and helpful

It was just okay. Food was sub par and definitely not worth it. I ate at both restaurants and I can honestly say the street food I had in Bangkok was better. The room was nice however the air conditioner was loud and woke me I don’t even know how many times in the night. It would make a noise that sounded like some one was trying to come in the room… which really made me not sleep well. I have stayed in a number of hotels on this trip and this was by far the worst and the most expensive. Travellers, I recommend staying else where. The only thing positive was the staff were very friendly and helpful which is why I gave it 2 stars.

Great boutique hotel, amazing rooftop happy hour and lounge. Pool was always clean and had great views and rooms were spacious and extremely well laid out. I got the duplex room and loved having a second floor and first floor for entertaining.

I booked here for staycation, deluxe room with jacuzzi. It's very weird that we did not see anyone on the entrance (not even security). We found parking lot on our own. Lobby is super dark (might be the hotel's gimmic) no greetings or anything from staff. Room is clean with basic amenities, and well decorated. Apart from comfortable room, I will not return to stay here.

  • 2/5 Ryan S. 1 year ago on Google
Definitely not 5 star as advertised. Rooms are ok, slightly weird design and very dark even with all the lights on. Empty minibar? Safe that can be easily lifted out of a drawer? Pool area was really dirty and poorly maintained. Rooftop bar staff are rude and don’t really seem to know what they’re doing (made cocktails but forgot the alcohol 😂). Breakfast pretty dismal, so don’t get included if possible and just go out. Star rating should be reviewed best a 3/4 and presents as a once great hotel slowly slipping down the drain.

A 3-4 star hotel in reality, looks nice but very basic. We visited at the end of October. No pool as it was being refurbished and were told this at check in (a couple of drinks vouchers would have been nice). The hot and cold taps on the bath were mislabelled. No welcome pack or handbook for basic information in the room. No room service (menu or mention). No bath robes. Seems like a hotel suffering from a lack of management and systems as the general staff were friendly and helpful when needed. Extremely overpriced for what you actually get.

  • 4/5 Emma L. 1 year ago on Google
Very spacious rooms, bathroom with a soaking tub, of all things! Our bed managed to be both a little lumpy and somehow comfortable none the less. The walk to the sky train makes the location v convenient. Breakfast was nice but not a showstopper. Staff were v gracious.

Very nice hotel with a dark charming atmosphere.....little retro'. At least one hotel different from all the others!!! The staff is efficient and supportive (some extra smile would be appreciated). The unique area for improvement is that ....here and there.... it shows age signs (at least the room I got). If you want a different hotel experience, this is the place (more for couples than children).
