I have nothing bad to say about the hotel itself, it's in a great central location, it's cheap, and the rooms are modern. However, the other guests are mostly of a particular ethnicity who seem to stay with about 10 people per room, make a lot of noise all day and night, and act very creepily towards women especially in the pool area. My partner didn't feel very safe around them. Again, this isn't the hotel's fault, more of a cultural thing, but it might not be a good place for solo female travellers to go compared to some higher end hotels that charge enough to keep these people out.

I'm a little surprised at some of the negative reviews for this hotel as my experience was very positive. I called the hotel during the day before I arrived and they quoted me a higher rate than what was available so I booked it online. In my experience, you can get a better rate online in Thailand vs. paying the property directly. Checked in and the staff came to help with the bags, They upgraded me to a larger room and the check in process was super quick and efficient. The room itself was nice with a large desk and outlets on either side of the bed. The bed was large and comfortable. Again, I paid around 550 baht for this hotel and for that price you can't really beat it. The location is fantastic as you're around the corner from the BTS and really in downtown BKK. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a hotel in Silom to stay here.

Terrible hotel. Rooms are large, but that's it. Our shower leaks, the curtain falls constantly, and their is not hot water (or warm). The room is dingy and dirt. Don't move anything, or you will find an inch of dirt. We asked for our room to be made up by day three (we have small children and the floor needed sweeping), all they did was drop new towels and empty the trash. Beds not made, floor not swept, nothing. The pool is also so dirty you can't swim in it. The water is brown and there are chunks of debris. Location is okay and Breakfast is decent. Stay elsewhere.

By far one of the worst hotels I’ve ever been to, completely and utterly shocked by how run down, dirty and unsafe the 4 star “superior” rooms are. Travel the world for business and pleasure, this place was just an absolute write off. The reviews higher than 1 star must be fake. Avoid. Staff will try to assist, I feel for them, you can tell they know the hotel doesn’t represent the reviews/standard of 4 star accommodation. All photos online are misleading.

Completed my one day stay in quarantine while waiting on the Covid test results. Considering the private van from the airport, the Covid test and meals included the price was ok. The room was plasticized I assume for quarantine purposes. The only furniture remaining was a bed, desk and well worn office chair. The included in room meals would make an airline cringe. In contrast my breakfast on departure in the restaurant, after the negative test result, was very nice.

The hotel facility and departments are very supportive with everything. They take serious precautions for Covid-19. Yet it would be better if they unlock their balcony for guest on request.

A very old hotel , past its prime. Damp smell, Rooms are big Room no 1014 (family room), good view of the city, rooftop pool has a good overall view, breakfast is good but the hotel is old and not maintained at all. Which hotel gives a flashlight in order to switch on the master light well this one does. Toilet door about to fall apart.Ordered chicken wings at room...it was the worst chicken wings I ever had...location wise next to the main street but nothing out except for 711, deserted locality

I have stayed in this hotel for 5 days and VERY DELIGHTED for their services. The rooms are ready while we are arrived earlier that scheduled. Rooms are CLEAN, COMFY, & SO PRIVATE. Mine were 1704 a standard room but really amazed me by the look and services. The location are SUPER STRATEGIC! Thank you Furama for making out our stays memorable!

I have stayed in this hotel before, but this time I obviously feel the quality is declining. No slippers, no hair dryer, staff said that the hotel had no slippers today,It was ridiculous. When checking in, the sheets were dirty, as well as the hair of the previous guests. The sweeper took away the tip, but the work was badly done, and the towel was still wet and hung there. Breakfast is not good either. Never come. This is not the standard of a four-star hotel

What used to be my favourite hotel has lost it, probably due to bad management and the pandemic. The staff is very friendly(!), but the hotel is now shabby, and there is so much that doesn't work. For instance: - it's generally worn out, like carpets, walls etc - only one elevator is running, and in the other it was a problem to get it register your card so you can use it - the breakfast was limited - the roof pool area is under maintenance and again worn out These are examples I stayed here the first time in 2012 and at the latest in 2019, and have always enjoyed it. So it was a disappointment to experience this. Hope they will upgrade and fix this. The location and view is very good.

We stayed there for a week and they were really nice. Location is good as well. Quite accomodating and helped us to adjust to our room, put up a second curtain for the bathroom glass, went the extra mile by duct taping it as we were using a family room with children, which was so nice of them. Highly recommended. Only suggestion is their breakfast can be a bit better.

I give one star for the one and only positive person in this hotel, the cleaning guy. He was helpful and pleasant each time . Everyone else acted as if they were doing us a favor just to speak to us. The entire staff were unpleasant to deal with on all levels. The hotel was dirty and in very poor condition; no light in our hallway, sliding door wouldn't lock, cockroachs came to visit, swimming pool was disgustingly dirty, not worth staying there.

The hotel conditions is quite older than shown, the rooms aren’t well cleaned when we got… got the furthest room also it’s like forever from the elevator. Some amenities doesn’t even work, like hair dryer, shower curtain, the clothes hanger even got rust and so on… the staff if not that friendly and the bell boy guy even directly ask for tip after giving our baggages. I mean it’s normal to give tips and we intended to as well but being ask directly, it’s sound so demanding that made us feel so uncomfortable. And when we checked out there’s no one even bother to help with our luggage. I mean for the price and location we sort of expected an average service or room condition or even cleanliness but it’s all below…

In my case, room in floor 9, the door, the furniture and floor have been renewed, big plus. The bathroom is still rather old but okaish. The swimming pool on the rooftop needs maintenance as well, see attached pic. The staff was quite friendly. One real drawback is the AC, its just too loud, especially if you dont use it in your room but some neighbour and you can hear this noise at night and it woke me up a couple of times. A previous reviewer mentioned that as well. Its hard to say if its a general issue or just for some rooms.

After the wreck called Covid, it’s amazing the hotel still managed to pull it together. We stayed for almost 2 weeks including the transfer and quarantine. It has its weaknesses, such as the repetitive breakfast and the old tumbling-down vibe, and oh don’t get me started with the elevator that rejected key card every time! However, we still enjoyed our stay. The room is spacious with bright balcony, bath tub and basic equipments. The roof top pool and bar has incredible view over Silom Rd. The location is great to reach different parts of the city. Staffs were nice and helpful. Overall I think the hotel has excellent value.

Stayed for the test and go due to a rather attractive price. Wasn’t fond of this hotel since the reservation process due to extremely slow and non-responsive communication. The room was old-fashioned but good that it’s very spacious and clean. Bed and bathroom are decent. Food tastes ok. Ambience was a bit haunting. Overall i had a good sleep so it’s still a pass.

Love this place. The only thing that I wasn't expecting is that in the pictures showed a very nice modern room but when we entered the room, it looked old and not what the photos showed. The food was decent and I loved the sweets. The top of the room was full of dust but that didn't really bother me. Overall a good place to stay.

Please do not go here! Hotel room was full of bugs and we had to negotiate for 5 hours to get a refund. Luckily through Agado we got our money back. Hotel Furama manager was going to charge us even though we did not want to stay! Pictures of the hotel are photoshopped it looks dirty and old in real life and smells really bad! Also really bad pool. Didn’t take pics of it but just please don’t go.

I've been here several times and like it for many reasons. Comfy bed in a spacious and well appointed room. New carpeting and drapes would benefit this hotel miraculously.

I never made any google comments but it was such a terrible experience, you won’t get any room service or cleaning till the fourth day checking-in. And the reception guy with glasses had a very aggressive attitude, I was hung up on the phone without a doubt by him. The pool couldn’t be used for days, extend the stay costs you 2200 baht but I checked the booking website it only costs half price.

This luxury hotel is a haven of opulence and indulgence. Lavish rooms, a gourmet restaurant, gym and a serene spa create a memorable retreat. The pool area is an oasis of relaxation. It's not just a stay; it's an unforgettable experience.

Review of Furama Silom Hotel: In Need of Improvement I recently stayed at Furama Silom Hotel during my visit to Thailand, and I must say that I was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The hotel is in desperate need of a significant investment to bring it back up to its original standards. One of the first things I noticed upon entering my room was the amount of dust and dirt present. It was clear that the housekeeping staff had not been thorough in their cleaning duties. The carpet was dirty and in need of a deep clean, and the balcony was covered in bird droppings, making it impossible to enjoy the outdoor space. The service at the hotel was another area that fell short of my expectations. I ordered meals through room service for three consecutive nights, and each time they were delivered late. This lack of punctuality was frustrating, especially after a long day of exploring the city. Furthermore, I encountered issues with the key card entry system throughout my stay. Every day, I struggled to get into my room due to the malfunctioning key card. This was a major inconvenience and added unnecessary stress to my trip. While I have always had positive experiences with the people and service in Thailand, Furama Silom Hotel failed to meet the same standards. Unlike other hotels I have stayed in, where staff members go above and beyond to assist guests, I found myself having to seek help constantly at Furama Silom. The staff seemed indifferent and unresponsive to guest needs. In conclusion, although I have a great affinity for Thailand, its people, and the exceptional hospitality they generally offer, Furama Silom Hotel left much to be desired. The hotel desperately requires a substantial investment and a renewed focus on cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service. Until then, I would recommend exploring other hotel options in the area that can provide a more pleasant and satisfying stay.

The room filled with smoke odor and felt comparably more humid than outside. Bathroom is not properly cleaned. I give this place a plus point for their polite staff and superb location but cleanliness and room condition need an immediete improvement.

It was the oldest and worst hotel I've ever been to in my life. Maybe people are nice but that doesn't help. I couldn't sleep because of the damp smell. I stayed for 3 days and no one cleaned my room, and the bathroom drain was clogged. It's a disgrace, it is possible to find better quality places for cheaper in Bankog. This place definitely needs to be repaired.

Good hotel located in a quiet area in Silom. The rooms are huge, decked with a desk and couch. The balcony is not accessible, maybe due to safety reason. It would have been nice to be notified of this prior to check in. Pool and bar on 20th floor. Great view of the city. Lovely place to be relaxing later on during the evening. Bathroom is also spacious but there’s a few small bugs or cockroaches crawling around? Not sure if that’s normal or not. Didn’t bother us. Had a few problems with the keycard not working. Overall, a nice experience. Thank you for a nice place to stay

Not at all a bad hotel for at all for the price per room. Very central to all the local interesting spots. Rooms are big with great views. Not able to access balconies due to rail height hazards but it's not a problem. Rooms are air-conditioned with reasonable bathrooms and refrigerator. Staff are excellent. Rooms are quiet and comfy. It's not 5 star but very adequate. Lots to see around the location. I'm happy with the choice.

Great size rooms with stunning views of Bangkok, location safe but not much in the area so need to travel to get to places. The room was clean and well-maintained and had a lovely bathtub. High up room and the pool on the roof is lovely. Great views of the sunset in Bangkok and all staff very friendly. The lifts were a little slow but never a major issue.

Good place to stay at. The rooms have a bit older interior but are really nice. The beds are soft and really comfy. You have two kinds of pillows for each person, which is nice according to your personal preference. The breakfast has a good variety but could improve a bit in taste. The rooftop pool is nice and has a great view. There are just limited places to lay down. Overall a great place to stay!

Rooms are „clean”, personel is nice. At this price, we expect something more. Breakfast are edible but nothing more. Very good localization, that all. I would not recommend to my friends

I stayed 3 nights and I was wondering about some bad opinions here about the hotel…but it is a 10/10. It is very clean, even for European standards. The pool is great, the staff is nice, the rooms are huge and especially, the breakfast omg. High quality and a big variety. They will cook for you anything containing egg in the moment. Perfect hotel, I would come back

They're struggling a bit. Needs a revamp. Pros: good breakfast, lovely rooftop pool with 360 views, close to everything, most of the staff are friendly, affordable 2 double bedroom. Cons: the lifts seem a little dodgy (had to pry open the door once we reached our floor... was fixed soon after), had to change rooms because our toilet didn't flush, reception area smells of blocked toilets, some clientele are noisy (had to ask the room next door to be quiet at about 11pm on a Wednesday), taxi touts.

  • 3/5 Rodrigo Fernández N. 1 year ago on Google
I stayed in two different rooms. The first one was amazing, the second one wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t stay there again. The breakfast is ok. I was expecting more options. It doesn’t change much from day to day (I stayed 5 nights). Do ask for the custom prepared omelette, it was delicious. You have to leave a 1000 baht deposit when you check in and it has to be in cash. So be prepared to have the cash.

Mostly a nice hotel, the room was spacious with a good view, and an excellent study desk which most hotels lack. However there are some issues which should be addressed. The key cards are a pain half the time; no one checks the gym to see if there's water, gym towels and disinfectant wipes; and on one of the days they didn't clean our room despite displaying the 'make room' card on the door. The key card issue might be costly to fix, but a quick check over of the gym 2x daily and a single sided 'make room' card (it's flimsy and on the back has 'do not make room' possibly confusing the cleaners) should fix these little issues. Some pancakes at breakfast would be a great change up to from French toast too. A final thing ~affecting the hotels reputation is dodgy taxi drivers waiting out the front, possibly have a chat and inform them if they claim not to have change for customers at the end of trips they're not welcome at the hotel.

Nice quiet hotel. The rooms are very spacious and the beds are very comfortable. good value for money. There is a pool and a bar on the roof top. The location is also good, the nearest BTS stations are about 500 Meters away. The staff is friendly and helpful. I'd love to come back

I recently stayed at the Furama Silom for my 2 week ASQ hotel quarantine and I have to say my overall stay was great! The room exceeded my expectations with a great bath and shower, the staff accommodated my every need whether it be sorting out Grab deliveries or delivering water to my room. The only improvements I would recommend is improving the quality of the food as at times the food was not so enjoyable. Overall, I would highly recommend staying at this hotel for ASQ purposes!

Why 1 star: 1.The room is nice but dirty 2.I booked and paid for a room, but when I arrived they changed it 3. The card didn't work and when I called to ask for help they hung up on me. 4.the phone didn't work after 5. Only one set of everything despite this being a double room for 2 people and my booking is for 2 people. 6. They asked me to pay an extra 1000 baht for checking in. Even thigh I paid the booking in full before arriving. 7. I spent the first hour waiting for the hotel staff coming and going to fix things and get the missing items 8. The balcony is locked and I'm not allowed to use 9. Some cleaning stuff is being left behind in the room

Good hotel for quarantine. Huge floor space therefore lots of room to move around. You can even workout in the room. Desk and comfortable chair to do some work. Bathtub as well as shower. Service is great. You ask for something and it's delivered in no time. Only thing is I could not go out on the balcony. You can still enjoy the great city view and enjoy the sunshine.

My worst experience in any hotel till now. Stayed three nights there, there was practically no room service. They told me that they will not clean the room in these three days and I have to call if I need anything. Had to call everyday for water refills, towels, toilet tissues etc. On the second night, there was over 10 hours of load shedding. Everywhere else there was electricity, only not in the hotel, no AC, no lights nothing! And they didn't even give any explanation as well. On the third night, all the sockets in the room stopped working at around 12AM. Called the reception, a man told me that electricians are coming, waited almost 40 minutes and called a couple of times again, no one came. I had other plans, so I called the reception and told them that I don't need any assistance, thank you. So for two days straight I wasn't able to recharge any of my electronic devices because of load shedding and power socket issues, so I had to charge my essentials the next day at the airport. They don't even have any airport transport as well, I asked for airport dropoff the day before my checkout, the receptionist girl told me to use Grab (which I feel like was kinda rude). I understand grab is an easy solution, but it has its limitations. I had to wait like 20-30 minutes most of the time to get on a car in pick hour. Also in a hotel where majority of the guests are from foreign countries, it's pretty common practice to have affiliation with any transport agency for guests comfort. The balcony view is good, but the balcony is dirty, not sure when was the last time they cleaned the balcony. Anyway, if you are in Bangkok, I would suggest avoiding this hotel, they have the city view but the service alone is enough to ruin your vacation. I stayed in 2 Star hotels on this trip and got a far better experience than this hotel.
