Very upset with this hotel. During our first and second day, the AC keeps going back to 25 and it can be very hot. We had to switch it to 20 degrees every five minutes. The staff put us to another room which was so kind of them to do, but the second room smells like cigarette. I then asked if I could ask the hotel to do a laundry for two medium size plastic bags worth of laundry. No one told me how much will the cost be. I understand laundry at hotels can be very expensive and I was already thinking for two bags, it would probably cost me 1000 baht. I just don't have time to look for any laundry shops nearby so I asked the hotel. Little did I know, two medium size plastic bags would cost be 2920 baht to be exact which is very shocking to me! The manager is checking what he can do, but the entire experience with this hotel is just very upsetting. The staff are nice though but it would have been nice to be informed earlier on any costs. :(

Although the rooms were well thought out the service was completely lacking. We notified the front desk multiple times about issues with our air conditioning and they never fixed the issue. Finally the second day they moved us to another room that smelled like someone had been smoking inside of it. The breakfast is overpriced and extremely bland. Overall this is not a good hotel for the price. They also handed my partner a 3,000 baht laundry bill which would have cost nothing more than 200 at an outside vendor,

The Hotel looks nice, the rooms have a good size and the outdoor area and pool area looks good as well, but when we arrived at the Hotel everything was dirty, the bed cheats and the floor. Then we changed the rooms and still hairs, and dirt on the beds as well on the floor. Unprofessional Cleaning Crew.

If you plan to use public transportation while in Bangkok, Oakwood Hotel Sathon is a very strategic location. Only 5-10 minutes walk to BTS Saphan Taksin & Sathorn pier. 5-10 minutes to Seven Eleven. The rooms are quite spacious & clean, the hotel staff are very friendly & professional. For a variety of dinners, you only need to walk 5-10 minutes to the busy center.

The location of the hotel is excellent as it is really close to BTS train station. Moreover, the ICONSIAM is not far from here as well. Room is quite small but the bed is really comfortable. The buffet-line breakfast was not quite familiar for Thai people, however the taste of foods were good. Things that need to be improved, up-on checking in, the front desk staff gave me the wrong registeration card to sign which is wrong package as well. After she had checked again, she told me that there was no my reservation appear on the program. I think this might be the problem of reservation department who pay less attention to make a reservation which make me spend more time for checking in process than usual. Moreover, up-on departure, the same front desk staff told me to wait for 5 minutes for checking the room. So, I was sitting at the lobby to wait for the room checking by housekeeper. Quite long for waiting, no one told me if the room checking process have done or not. Wait till 20minutes, I had to ask her if it was done or not, then she reply me that it’s been done. My point is, if it has been done already, why didn’t she inform me so that I can leave the hotel. This caused me to waste time again. Quite Disappointed!

The hotel is nice and well located. Referring to the rooms, good size and comfortable. Breakfast offers a good variety of products to satisfay locals and foreign guests. But there is one big thing to complain : my room was too crowded.... There were big insects, beatles, running on the floor..... Disgusting...... I explained the situation, shown the insects and asked to change the room. The new one was clean but i couldn't forget the feeling of noticing the beatle climbing on my leg..... I won't repeat. I didn't expect a compensation since the booking was paid already, but a little courtesy of the house would be appreciated in these circumstances.... Honestly, I'm disappointed.

The food menu is not adequate. Staff members do not have a working knowledge of English. The rooms are compact, hardly any space to move or park the luggage. The pool is for namesake (very small). The only good thing is toto washlet installed in every room

Rooms are clean and nice. But it is very small and if anyone carrying a medium size luggage you wouldn't have place to open the luggage maybe you can keep it on the bed. Food is good too we had breakfast and dinner both were very good. For breakfast they had Indian options as well apart from continental. Swimming pool is nice and clean. Ambience was great.

Location of the hotel is great, that is 5 stars. Staff was polite and tried their best, but not a single person speaks proper english, so it was hard to communicate with them. All in all, they deserve 4 stars. Our room had everything you need, A/C was good, you get coffee and water, etc. But, room smelled of damp, and there were litteral mushrooms growing on the wall (picture attached). Furthermore, when they gave us new towels, they weren't clean and they smelled. I really hope that they didn't give us someone elses used towels just dried. But that was the feeling.. Also, breakfast buffet has like three choices, so it was somewhat disappointing. I guess their 4 stars are not the same as european.

Not a great location. Nothing around it. No help from the staff for navigation. No help from the travel desk on arranging activities. Not much option on food menu. Pool was okay. Clean and hygienic. Quite and nice for family vacation. For me personally not a suitable place.

Beautiful hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the busy life of Bangkok city. The rooms are well maintained with state of the art facilities. The restaurant is spacious and well equipped. They serve you great quality and quantity. Apart from the Thai cuisine, they also provide a limited option of Indian cuisine as well. They have a very strict rule about non smoking in rooms. However they have a designated smoking area as well. The staff is courteous and helpful.

Had a great stay here. Great location 3 minute walk to the nearest Skytrain and also inside the pick up zone for many day trips in and around Bangkok. Lots of shops and food places 5 minutes walk away. Had room 805, I was given two fresh bottles of water a day, my room cleaned everyday. Bed and pillows were soft and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helped me get my taxi to the bus terminal using an app. Shower was hot and you get given a lot of extras such as slippers, dressing down, cotton earbuds. Only issues were the walls are very thin I could hear everything the room next door were saying and doing. And room service wasn't nice I ordered the chicken burger and the burger had several hairs. Overall I would return here due to the excellent location and friendly staff and clean rooms. Thank you for the nice stay.

I am very happy with my high valued stay at this hotel. The staff are so gentle and so supportive. My room is so spacious together with a comfy bed and pillows. Location is at end of modern on Sathorn biz district and the vintage of old biz district. You can enjoy a public transport with metro and a boat bus. Love here.💕

The good things about this accommodation: The price is relatively affordable, the location is great, it is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The things that can improve: The wifi is terrible, it always disconnects and the passwords don’t work once you get to reconnect. Plus it’s not on a safe or secure connection. There are large noisy tour groups that stay here, bang their doors, talk in the hallways and come and go at all hours. Plus the walls are not thick enough to block out noise. The air conditioning is connected between rooms so if you are concerned about the spread of infections this is not great.

A nice hotel, friendly staff, Mr. Kaustubh Sur was a great help while checking out. Rooms are with all modern facilities and the best toilet seats :). The only issue is that rooms don't have any wardrobe so after opening luggage there is no space in the room.

My husband and I stayed at this lovely property for our mandatory 1-night "test & go quarantine". We chose this place primarily because the general manager, Khun PJ, was super quick to respond in our search for an SHA+ hotel (and guidance) when the new Thailand Pass quarantine exemption program had just been announced. Rarely have I experienced the level of care, professionalism and efficiency as that shown by Khun PJ in dealings with the hospitality industry -- he truly goes above and beyond! We were delighted to meet him in person and find the rest of the staff just as wonderful and welcoming. Highly recommended. The room was perfect as well; new, well-equipped and comfortable. Fantastic location especially if you love street food. They're on the corner of Sathorn intersecting with Charoen Krung road, minutes from the Saphan Taksin BTS stop. Some of the best authentic Thai noodle shops to be found. I'm sure I'll be returning.

This hotel was very good value and a good location in Sathorn, a short 5 minute walk to the pier and sky rail station. It also has the Centre Point shopping centre just around the corner. We found the rooms spacious and clean with large windows for good light. The staff were all very professional and helpful. Late checkout is also available. The breakfast had a good selection of Cereals, both European and Asian hot varieties as well as fruit, cakes Coffee and Tea. The hotel pool was one of the cleanest I have seen anywhere with a good amount of space around it with lounges and towels supplied. On the second floor pool level there is also a fitness centre and separate male and female sauna rooms. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and its location.

We used this hotel for the 4th time in 11 years. The location of the hotel is good and close to all needed fun and stuff. A couple of issues are: 1/ The hotel is often used by 'oriental' guests who find it very funny and normal to disturb sleeping guests with the extreme slamming of the hotel doors after midnight and/or making phone calls/having arguments in the hallway (but just in front of your door of course) 2/inside the shower, the floor is extremely slippery and the water-temperature in the shower is going more up and down then the value of a bitcoin...

I am staying in this hotel since Thursday, it's a "Home away from Home" for me. Hotel staff K-David, K-June and last but not the least K-Cat welcomed like family and taken care in best possible way. Thank you for everything.

Upon checking in we were charged extra for pet although it was never mentioned on Agoda. The manager proudly told me that the hotel was Pet Friendly. There was a Park only 100 meters down the road for the animals to use for their potty breaks, because there was No Place on Hotel Grounds for the pets. Animals are allowed to go from your vehicle to the room and back ONLY! The hotel is Not in a good area and taking a Puppy 100 meters down the road for a Potty Break at 3 am is very dangerous. NO this hotel is NOT PET FRIENDLY! I urge you to go somewhere else!

Room are great service was good. High tech toilet is one of the highlights. Pool is a little small. The breakfast was adequate, nothing fancy. Overall I enjoy staying here. Receptionists are rude and they have begginer English skills which is okay for normal check-in and check-out conversation. They won't be able to understand complex English sentences so use a translator app and you'll be good.

Bed mattress is hard as a stone, hardest I have ever experienced in a 4 star hotel 😖 no sound proofing in room, street noises heard clearly, also neighbors door slamming. Gym is the smallest I have ever seen in a 4 star hotel, did not bother to visit it, small as a closet 😔 the very good thing with this hotel is the perfect location, it is very close to Saphan Taxin.

It is near saphan taksin BTS metro station and sathorn pier station within walking distance of only 5 mins. Rooms are cosy with amazing services. They asked for the security deposit once you check in and fully returned at the time of check out.

This hotel was worth the money I spent. There is nothing much to complain about. Check-in was quick. Though breakfast menu was limited, food was good. Service was fine. Its a great option for two nights stay. Coming to the cons, the swimming pool was very small. They did not change sheets on our 2nd day of stay. There are no balconies. But our stay was pleasant and peaceful.

Very nice, modern and clean rooms and facilities. You can tell it's an American company because their customer service level is just outstanding. Nothing is impossible.

Booked through make my trip Pros 1. Okay breakfast 2. Metro nearby 3. Clean hifi room 4. Friendly staff Cons 1. Room size is small 2. No wardrobe. Might be there in other high range rooms. 3. The location of the hotel itself was very depressing. Nothing much to wander outside. 4. Luggage shifting to be done ourselves. 5. 4 star standards does not meet expectations.

Lovely hotel with a wonderful restaurant. Very friendly staff. The hotel is located in the center of the city, near the bus metro, and ferry stations. The rooms are good but small and didn't have a cupboard. Hence, one star less 🙂.

I would like to applaud the GM PJ and his wonderful team for the great effort for making my stay a great one. From the pick up from airport, to the on arrival PCR test and checking in experience on my first day back in BKK was smooth and quick. Thank you all very much and I will be back soon!

After staying one night we decided to leave. It was gross. The bathroom sink caulking was black with mold, the shower did not drain properly and overflowed onto the bathroom floor, the towels smelled, the AC exhaust was dirty, and there are stains and marks on the wall and sofa. After discussing with the Front Desk staff about our decision to leave, we were asked to wait to discuss with the GM about refunding the remaining nights. Unfortunately, after waiting 15 minutes, the front desk informed us the GM would not offer any refund for the remaining days and chose not to speak with us directly, so we left forfeiting the balance of the fee. We felt this was the worse part of the experience in that the GM could not take the time to speak with us especially after we were told to wait for him/her. That’s plain disrespectful and inconsiderate of our time. The place looks great in photos which is why we chose the Oakwood, but it’s obvious the place is in disrepair and we gladly found an alternate place nearby that was markedly better in almost every aspect. I expect the same copy/paste response from the hotel given to all the other negative reviews.
