We like a good atmosphere to meet other travellers and share stories, but this is really a party hostel where you can get NO sleep. We booked a private room (room J) to have our rest but it was above the bar. We could hear every conversation and all of the music so we could not sleep at all. One of the rules of the hostel is no music after 11 but they did not follow their own rules. They did not hear our complaints about the noice and had difficulties helping us out with other questions. There was vomit in the common areas because of drunk gap year students. If you want a party hostel, this place is probably great but we hated it and were happy to leave. We had booked it for the end of our trip to Thailand but we cancelled it. Would not recommend.

Partyhostel with very loud music! Not what we wanted after all the flights we took. Terrible hard matras as well. Restaurant and garden are very nice to chill and eat.

Awesome hostel, especially the garden with the bar is great. Perfect place to meet fellow travelers. Only the dorm room was a bit small and dark. Beds are nice though and you get a curtain that actually closes all the way.

Really loved my stay at HERE hostel! It was definitely the best hostel in BKK! Clean, friendly, nice and social atmosphere! Very easy to make friends in the commom space! The bar, the garden and the pool are great additions to the stay at the hostel. I highly recommend!

Absolutely gem of a place - hygienic, spacious and very well maintained - and also well connected from all spots. Absolutely recommend this to folks travelling solo (or others comfy in staying here - believe me this is not a typical hostel with all the anti thesis of things I mentioned above) It also has a nice cafe on the side with regular happy hours in evening - food is average but happy hours and the atmosphere in evening is pretty good!

Perfect place if you are Dutch and in your early 20s. The rooms are of a good size, with aircon and blackout curtains. The communal shower and toilet are cleaned 3 times a day. The upstairs space is lovely but needs some extra fans. Here there is also a fridge, tea and coffee and washer/ dryer. The pool is small and dirty- avoid. No lounges or beanbags The bar downstairs is nice, especially the garden, the food is good but extremely overpriced (starting from THB180). Good location near touristy spots.

Here hostel was my first hostel stay in Thailand. We were graciously greeted by the front desk staff and Bas helped us with anything we needed. The location was very clean and well kept, we had AC in our room, the laundry machines were good, and you could access drinking water for free. Meeting people is easy at the pool and it’s the best way to cool down. Overall, I had a great time, met awesome people, and can’t wait to go back next time I’m in Bangkok!

Great hostel for a short stay in Bangkok, has all amenities needed - short walk from khao san so location was great. Only suggestion for improvement is to put some vegetarian options on your menu - there was nothing!

Very social pool, easy to travel solo and make friends. Big beds with privacy curtains and rainfall showers. Chiller hostel but they do some activities. I left Mad Monkey and checked in here

It's indeed a very good hostel. The staff are honest, polite, fun and professional. I lost my sunglasses one day, and my watch the next. Both were returned to the staff and I was able to get them back. Everybody is so friendly and welcoming. It's cleaner than the average hostel too. The guests are diverse, and the age range is about 18-35.

Absolutely amazing staff! They helped us so much. Bas and Kt were so friendly and kind. Would 100% recommend it. The hostel is so close to everything, temples and so on. There’s also a common room with a bar. The hostel is also close to clubs.

Stayed here 3 years ago. Came back to visit it again after these years . The place did really degraded. Didn’t like also the rude staff behind the bar. Used to be really cool place to stay and hang out..not anymore

Really lovely hostel. Great location for exploring Bangkok without being in a really touristy bit. The social area outside was great and the pool was amazing after a hot day exploring! Although it is small and more just for a quick dip. Food was ok. Great to have a bar on site. There was live music in the evening which was really nice. Bed was comfy and the place was pretty clean. Shower was good. I was surprised that you had to take your shoes off but after travelling the rest of the country this is actually pretty normal. I think the only downside for me was that the plug in my bed was a bit temperamental and the room for 6 bunks was quite compact. Definitely recommend though and would stay again if I go back to Bangkok!

A comfortable and central place to stay in Bangkok. Rooms and amenities are clean, staff professional and friendly. I was on a long layover in Bangkok and the hostel provided the perfect opportunity to both do some sightseeing of the city whilst getting a rest on my next destination.

the beds were lovely and the cafe and restaurant downstairs were a great place to spend time. the bathroom was very far awake from the room which was annoying but clean nonetheless. good location but a bit of a walk to get to some attractions and places. really friendly and helpful staff.

Such a wonderful hostel! I made a great group of friends through the hostel pub crawl! They do fun activities throughout the week and weekend. Common area is the cafe and a large patio outside and it’s lovely. You can order food and get drinks out there as well as go swimming.

Nice location, nice and quiet showers (might be because it was September and not too busy yet), and we liked the combination with There bar next door. However, our room was quite small and we found it a bit weird that the light in the room stayed on until midnight and we couldn't turn it off ourselves 🙃

a great value for money hostel, the cafe/beer garden is an awesome vibe and the food is delicious. the rooms are a good size and have very comfy beds!

We loved here hostel! Rented a private room for about a week. Love the garden terrace where you can have some nice food and drinks, loved the vibe of this hostel. Great location, great room, had everything we needed and more: a small terrace with two lounge chairs for ourselves. Also had a slide, what else do you want ;)

Great backpackers hostel and has party ambience until midnight. Walking distance to Khao San. The boy at the reception is also pretty helpful.

I stayed here twice. Loved it! It's clean, well organized and the staff is very nice! The only thing that could make it even better is maybe to organize some activities like beerpong, karaoke, speeddating or a pubquiz or something. Just so it's easier to make contact with other people who stay in the hostel.

We stayed in a private room with an en-suite. The hostel has a lovely cafe next door, the staff are very helpful. The room was clean with a great bathroom but the downside was the bed. The bed was solid as a rock and the mattress was leather so made sleeping very sweaty and uncomfortable even with the air con on. I wouldn’t stay there again just based on the bed.

It’s a party hostel so great for that vibe. Perhaps the dormitories were better value as you get to mingle more if you’re a solo traveller looking for some company. Positives - Self service wash & dry per load was 120thb - Free washing detergent - Drinking water, tea, & coffee provided - Lovely shower gel & shampoo provided - Located about 25 mins from Khao San Road at a leisurely pace, and not far from the Palace and Wat Poh so great for doing temple runs Not so positive - Cold showers only, no hot water - 707thb per night for a loft room & shared bathroom I think was quite steep when we had to crawl like gollum to get to the bed or scoot on our behinds to get to the stairs - Ceiling height where the bed was, was quite low - It’s requested we take off our shoes, however, beer garden patrons had free access to the hostel bathroom facilities from the side door in the evenings so defeated the purpose - 2pm check-in time as they were cleaning the room, only to find crisp crumbs dotted around the side of the bed on arrival, however the common area’s were constantly cleaned in the afternoon so felt clean during the day

The Here Hostel is by far the best hostel I’ve stayed in. Great location, super nice and helpful staff and a clean room with comfortable beds. Even though I went there during covid, it is a great place to meet other travellers and locals. I would definitely recommend to stay here while visiting Bangkok, I’ll be coming back Here next month!

The staff are super super friendly and helpful, the location is fantastic, the food is even better. Live music Friday and Saturday with a very good vibe. Common area is cool, all rooms are very clean. Highly recommend, you won’t regret it

Owners are very kind, they let me hang around the lounge as I had flight in the evening. The location is bit difficult to find if you don't follow their instructions on the website

I am going to start with the only negative which is the staff. Although very neutral and therefore not unfriendly, the staff were not friendly when it wouldn’t take much for them to be. For the positives however, this hostel had great facilities with very cool rooms and plenty of places to relax with balconies, outdoor tables and chairs, a bar, a swimming pool and an alfresco style living room. Some of the guests were loud at times but otherwise were very friendly and I do not feel that occasional bad guests reflect a bad hostel. This hostel is also close enough to Khao San Road and many other hubs in Bangkok, without being close enough that you cannot take a peaceful break from the sometimes chaotic surroundings.

The calm atmosphere of the hostel is perfect for spending a few evenings away from the hustle of Bangkok. The wooden interiors, swimming pool, interior deck and the garden cafe adjoining the hostel are the best you can get at this price. It is the cleanest hostel we stayed in on our Thailand trip and the bunks provided are quite spacious. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone staying for a day or two in Bangkok. Khao San road is a 10 minutes walk from here, and we were lucky enough to be here on the evening of the King's ceremony, because of which the streets were quite decorated.

Cheap dorms, comfy beds, lockers to store valuables just bring your own lock. The breakfast was basic but cheap if you wanted to stay on site, water available 24/7 but not chilled. Good showering facilities, small lockers for when you don’t have use of your rooms for passports etc. They have a POOL, which is a huge bonus as the only other hostels within Bangkok with pools are super party hostels and sometimes you don’t want that vibe every night. Great FREE walking tour provided by the hostel. The staff I met were all helpful and nice, we asked them about some onward transport options too and they didn’t hesitate to give their own opinions which I always like. Purchasable food and drink next door/on site if wanted. Lovely little coffee shop next door. PS - they also have a slide!

Had a nice stay here. First of all the location was pretty good being 1 block in from the main road that is a bit hectic. It's located on a fairly chill street with some street food vendors very close by which was nice. Upon entering the hostel you are greeted with AC, beautiful wood floors, an actual huge slide and welcoming reception area. The staff were always helpful and cheery. Check in was a breeze but since me and my brother arrived 2 hours before check in. We were able to leave our bags there and went out to eat and get money( the kind receptionist gave me directions to the bank). Came back at check in time for the 2 person private room we booked. Nice room with good AC, beds were fine and I appreciated the USB plug next to the bed. Common areas are always kept tidy, bathrooms are clean and fantastic hot water and pressure. My fave part of the hostel is the huge slide from the 2nd level to the main reception. So much fun compared to taking the stairs. The building itself is massive and well designed. It's about a 10 minute chill walk to Khoasan Road area and no problems about safety in the area. Overall I would definitely stay here again!

I had the most amazing stay at Here Hostel. The entire space is dreamy and picturesque. I love the privacy curtains on the beds. Breakfast was great. Staff was helpful and kind. I only stayed one night in Bangkok, but would definitely come back! It’s also in a perfect location - walkable to Chinatown and The Grand Palace.
