One of the best places to stay in central Bangkok. Its very close by to the pier. You can take express boats from the pier which connects to most of the famous temples in Bangkok. The hotel is located in a calm and peaceful neighborhood. The looks are vintage and I loved every aspect of the property. It was bit difficult to identify the hotel because the road was a bit narrow. Nevertheless this place is beautiful and it is worth every dollar you spent on this place. They have complimentary breakfast.

I have one of my life’s best stays at this cute little hotel. Right in the middle of city, this Hotel is in a small alley. The first thing you will notice about this place is it’s calmness and the Thai elements added right from the walking areas, gardens, dining spaces, corridors and your rooms. It feels like a well maintained hostel with lot of guests from different countries unite. They have a cafe in ground floor that serves amazing breakfasts and the staff is very friendly. At night you can choose to drink in the common area, but if you wish to smoke you are advised to walk outside for a drag. They maintain the property in its raw form and if you have such etiquette’s to keep the place clean and tidy, this is the place to stay. Things to note- Hotel has access to your rooms even if you have locked it, and went out as they have a regular cleaning service at particular times. You are advised to keep your devices/documents or belongings in a safe luggage to avoid misunderstandings. I freaked out first day when they did it on Day 1, but later I was mindful and packed my valuables in a locked luggage. All the staff is friendly, and good mannered. Ferry points and lots of local food joints are nearby this place. But don’t miss the food at their ‘Unbranded Cafe’ More of my blogs in my IG page: eatlikejo

The hotel design is so cute! It’s as if you went into the cartoon world. It’s quiet and peaceful. The room has the upper deck where you could chill and read there. The lobby is also open for you to chill over coffee and kindle. Staff is friendly. They have a cafe inside didn’t get a chance to try as it’s wasn’t open. If you have a chance should definitely try it! Room is big can fit 3 persons. 1 queen and 1 single bed!

We stayed here for two nights in January 2020. The hotel is situated about 5-10 minutes walk from the nearest ferry landing in a back street. It’s location means it’s relatively quiet (especially at night) but still has great transport connectivity to Wat Pho, Grand Palace and other key sights. The rooms have a unique style which we really liked and is very different compared to most other places we stayed. Breakfast is excellent and really set us up for the day - eggs cooked to order, homemade yoghurt, lots of fresh fruit. We also really appreciated the central courtyard to chill out in - on checkout day, it was extremely hot and we ended up just relaxing there and taking in the chilled ambiance of the place. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The only thing worth noting is access from the airport requires taking the Sky Train to the end of the line, and then hoping in a tax for a short way (around 60 baht). Although this place was marginally more expensive than some of the other places we saw in Bangkok we chose it due to the great reviews we’d read, and were not disappointed. I would highly recommend this place if ever visiting Bangkok for anything more than just a layover.

Nice, quaint place with retro vibes. The decor looks circa 60's/70's, with some nice vintage pieces on display. I didn't get to see the 3rd and 4th floors which I was told had more vintage stuff on display. The rooms, like the common areas, were clean and neat. The hotel staff were warm and friendly. Breakfast (not included in our package) was wonderful, nice western breakfasts and freshly baked (on site) croissants. I understand they also have cooking/baking lessons from time to time, just not sure if they already resumed post-covid. The hotel was about 100-200 meters from the main road and central enough that it takes us about 30 minutes (dependent on traffic) to get to the office. Check with the hotel managers for some recommendations in the area.

This was the perfect place for our family to start our trip in Thailand. It's a quiet, beautiful, friendly place with supportive staff. Each room is uniquely decorated with hand drawn murals, a well a each inch of the public spaces that are designed and welcoming. We had a room with two bedrooms and two bathrooms which was perfect for our family of four.

More than just a hotel, it is an oasis of calm, quiet and fine taste in every detail. The decor is unusual and delightful, the rooms have individual character, the attention to detail is everywhere, the staff is beyond kind and friendly, the smiles are everywhere. The location is a delightful surprise (hidden in an alleyway, but not hard to find) quiet, yet not far from the bustle of everyday life, as well as near major attractions. If you happen to be there while the local Buddhist temple has a festival, you are in for a real cultural treat - music festival, street food, buddhist chanting, temple Thai massage, and many, many, many kind smiling Thai people. Thank you Phranakorn-Norlen for a memorable stay.

This hotel is so unique. The design makes you feel like you live in your own little village in the middle of Bangkok. Every floor is full of paintings and antiques. The room is quiet, spacious and clean. Very cozy feel with a comfortable bed. Equipped with AC and fan. No TV, fridge or hair dryer. The staff are helpful and friendly. They even allow you to store luggage and take a shower after checking out. It's not near any train station but it's a short walk from the Thewes Pier which has boats on a frequent basis. It has a 7 Eleven and other vendors nearby. Overall, I love this place and would definitely recommend it.

Great unique hotel that is well located in the north side of Bangkok. Easily accessible by boat ferry and staff are more than welcoming and helpful. Loved the local feeling of the neighborhood and the unique decoration of the place!

I loved this place. The staff are the nicest, kindest people you could ever meet. The rooms and decor are fun and unique. Beds really comfortable. The great breakfast being cooked infront of you, in a beautiful open common area, was the highlight of my whole experience in Bangkok. Would definitely go back again.

I had a wonderful experience at Phranakorn-Nornlen Hotel during our week-long stay with my husband and our toddler. The hotel grounds are convenient with a spacious common relaxation area. The breakfasts were excellent, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. The cleanliness, laundry facilities, and café availability were delightful. The location impressed us, and the hotel itself is stylish with beautiful wall art. I would like to express gratitude to the hotel owners for the enjoyable time. I highly recommend this place.

I love staying at Phranakorn-Nornlen. The staff is super and the atmosphere is just amazing. The luggage storage and the inhouse coin laundry are good, and the breakfast has some delicious options.

What a cosy oasis in hectic Bangkok. A beautiful and tranquilient place to stay, individual and personal setting, nice and spacious rooms, plus on top an awesome breakfast (amazing coffee too!) available. Street food, supermarket around the corner and taxis / tuk-tuk’s at your finger tip, if you dont feel like walking.

We booked a seven-day vacation and stayed at this hotel for three days. Initially, we thought we had made a mistake when we entered the hotel, but we were wrong. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the service provided by the staff was truly amazing. It is a perfect place for meditation, reading books, and if you want to experience a hippie lifestyle. We had some leftover food from the previous night's hotel takeaway, and the staff kindly helped us to heat it over. The entire vibe of the hotel was different, contributing to our great vacation. The service staff were unbelievably amazing. The breakfast was really good, as was their coffee. The property is neat and clean, boasting a vintage style, and it's a little piece of paradise in the busy neighborhood.

This hotel let us see Bangkok (at least a small part of it) in a whole new way. Quiet, except for birdsong, and calm, in a very interesting neighbourhood close to a canal, this quirky place makes you feel right at home. The staff are wonderful, and Joh and Sam especially made our stay memorable. Food was very good, with other great restaurants close by. Bed was comfortable, wifi good. Highly recommended

This is such a cute and charming hotel. Building is old but that just adds to the vintage charm. The decor is very exclectic and creative. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable (there were 2 AC units in the room) and the water pressure in the shower was amazing. There's a washer dryer on the premises but no elevator. The staff were all so nice and helpful. We really felt looked after during our stay there. The desk is staffed 24/7. The breakfast and coffee were delicious, we highly recommend you include breakfast as part of your booking. The location was good, it's down a quiet street alley away from the noise and Hussle bussle of the city but conveniently next to a 7-11 and always has street vendors outside for a quick bite. It's a quick Grab ride away to the surrounding attractions. We would totally stay here again and highly recommend it.

Great attention to details. The decor is sweet and inspiring. The bed sheets are really soft and nice. The bed, bedroom, and washroom are spacious. The staff is excellent. Their in-house restaurant was really good. We enjoyed their pizza. The owners are very attentive and present in their management of the hotel. Well done.

Nice peaceful oasis to retreat to at end of the day’s explorations in busy Bangkok. Very friendly staff and good food served from their onsite restaurant in a lovely courtyard setting. Very convenient buses and water taxis nearby. Rooms are not soundproof so you might be kept awake by louder neighbours. Towels could be cleaned a bit better… asked to change mine twice because of stains. Also, ask for a room with a view of nearby temple or courtyard.

The best little hotel in the whole world. I loved it here and will definitely stay here my next time in BKK. First of all, the aesthetic details are well thought out and the rooms are nice. We stayed in the basic room and it was fairly spacious, and had enough desks, drawers, etc that we could unpack some of our things. The outdoor common areas and balcony are perfect for relaxing on a hot afternoon. The staff is very nice and they seem to enjoy working there. We overheard a couple of staff members tell another guest that they had been working there together for several years. The food, coffee, and croissants offered by the hotel are all pretty good as well. But there are also plenty of great restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Some people in the reviews felt that the location was inconvenient. I agree it's far from the BTS or MRT, but being near the river is great. The walk to the pier is easy and nice, and we always saw something interesting on the way. Also, the pier itself is very local feeling, and not touristy like some of the piers in the sightseeing locations. In general, the neighborhood atmosphere is really appealing. Lots of maze like alleyways full of cute cats, delicious food, and many other surprises. When I hear people say they didn't like visiting Bangkok, I wish they had stayed at PN. It's the perfect way to experience this beautiful and exuberant city.

The rooms are very nice and colorful painted. The staff especially Sam is really nice and pleasant. The beds are comfortable and the showers are hot. We were three times in Pranakorn Nornlen but after each visit we realize that it will become more and more commercial. This is sad.

Quiet and cosy hotel to escape the chaos of Bangkok. Very friendly staff that was extremely helpful. Big rooms with comfortable beds and A/C. Would definitely recommend staying there!

Super friendly people. The place is quirky and cosy. Great location but also feels like you can escape Bangkok's madness by Coming home here. Thanks for making my first 2 days in Bangkok fantastic 😊

Great vibes, great location, super awesome staff. The washing machine is a bit old but does the job. Will surely visit back again. Showers are great and the balcony view is really great! Walking distance from 7-11 and bus stops. Cons: WiFi in the rooms is non existent almost and the ac in our room worked really slow, took a long time for room to get to comfortable temp.

I stayed at this hotel for my honeymoon, and I would pick it again over a 4-star hotel. As soon as you walk in, a feeling of peace descends on you. It feels like a cool oasis from the heat and bustle of the city. There's a shady inner courtyard flowing with greenery, a sleepy hotel cat, and when you wake up in the morning, there are birds singing and squirrels running in trees right outside your window. The location is in a neighborhood that's fairly chill, but still close to interesting attractions.

Beautiful lil inn this one. Away from the noisy streets, it's only a short drive away to all the main attractions like Reclining Buddha, Grand palace, skywalk and khao san rd. Sam, from the hotel staff, was the nicest guy and very helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Nice hostel in a calm street with nice noodle restaurants nearby and the canal. Near the Thewet boat station, very efficient to go across town. The hostel has a great vibe and would definitely recommend for a group of friends. Only problem is the barely (if not at all) worked and it was a problem to plan the next part of our trip. We told it to the manager and he didn’t feel like changing something

Unique hotel. Friendly service from Everyone, yes everyone there. Very diverse crowd of guests. I saw people from France with family, couples from US and Australia. Wonderful atmosphere. Love the rain head shower. Peaceful and relaxing views. Fourth floor rooftop offers good view of the giant golden Buddha. You can watch the birds fly around in the morning as there are many tall trees surrounding the hotel. Stayed 2 days. Loved every minute of it.

Wonderful staff and great rooms. Excellent ambiance. The front desk staff was ready to greet us when we arrived after midnight and was very accommodating to call a cab when it was time for us to go to our next destination. Great location by lots of street food but a little tricky to find. The sign is very well lot though.

Amazing little 3star hotel with 5star service. Clean and spacious rooms, amazing staff and in the heart of Bangkok, not far from Khao San Road. I love the theme too! Highly recommended!

We absolutely Loved this beautiful hotel! Everyone was so nice and helpful. It’s location is great, though hidden on a back alley, with access to joining alleys with hidden treasures. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay that kept us connected with the culture of Bangkok.

Wonderful, simple, quirky hotel in Old Bangkok. Really calm feeling, comfortable room. Simple but good buffet breakfast, hot dishes cooked to order, lovely staff. They knock your door to warm you if breakfast is nearly finished, which was helpful. We enjoyed our stay.
