Textbook study case on how to loose a star while having beautiful rooms, great facilities, an unbeatable location and an excellent buffet breakfast. Comes down to lack of the care that’s at the heart of a 5 stats experience : after checkout decided to hang out by the pool. Told the cashier, went up to the pool floor, got a locker, changed, walked all the way to the pool only to discover then it was closed for renovations that morning. No announcement in the room, in the elevator, no comment from front desk when I said I would go there, no sign nor comment from the pool reception desk when they gave me a locker key and towel. 5 contact points, all failed. You’re a great hotel, do better next time 😊

An amazing experience overall at this five star luxury hotel. With this pandemic, the rates are very reasonable as well. I was able to stay at a king bedroom on the 22nd floor, which is their top floor, with a view, and club access benefits, for around 2600 bahts per night. That’s around $80 US, or $100 Canadian. I have no status at the world of Hyatt program, but the staff all treated me with amazing hospitality, smiles, and attentiveness. I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. And I will hope to come back again very soon. I think it’s time for me to check out the Hyatt hotel groups. I didn’t have much chance to do so, as there aren’t very many in Canada or Japan, but there are about five establishments here in Bangkok. This one is probably the oldest of all, but the feel of the lobby, elevator, and the rooms, are very inviting and luxurious, and most of all, clean and well-maintained.

Nice hotel, conveniently located. Grand lobby but rooms have aged well. Other facilities are good. I was given a late checkout, because i was feeling poorly on the last day of the trip. I was allowed to stay until 8pm as my flight back home was not until 2 am next morning. That was very generous.

Absolutely wonderful hotel - couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Beautiful atrium, excellent service, amazing breakfast buffet with everything you could ever want, and well connected to everything via the local sky train BTS stop. It was also my birthday while we were there and they surprised me by leaving a delicious baked birthday cheese cake in the room and a beautiful hand painted card with lovely wishes for the year ahead. So sweet and thoughtful and topped off a great overall experience.

We stayed for a couple of nights. The service was great, friendly and thoughtful. I have few issues (nothing major) with the room specifically the bathroom such as: The hot water was a bit tricky to use and there are too many mirrors inside the toilet and the room. This might not be a big issue for some. The breakfast buffet was top notch. The location is very convenient to access to main shopping area, park and CBD are within walking distance. Overall great experience.

It’s my home away from home . Stayed at the Grand Hyatt Ewrwan dozens of time , but this was the first after 4-5 years . It has not changed . Great value for your money and 5+ star services everywhere . Excellent food, wonderful rooms with great attention to all details. Latest gym, nice pool - not ideal for labs but refreshing. Central location in the center of Bangkok. Due to construction next to the building the direct skywalk to the sky train is no longer open, but it takes only minutes to walk to it from the street level. You got to try the dinner buffet - excellent! The best are the staff standing behind their job with a sole and a beautiful Thai smile .

Fantastic, solid, quality older hotel in center of Bangkok. Love the old colonial style lobby with its souring ceiling! Very nice accommodations, restaurants and a great club in the lower level. It's a Grand Hyatt so of course you'd expect it to be good.

There is a dry cleaning shop on the ground floor of the hotel. I have been using this shop for more than 20 years. This shop provides dry cleaning services. I always bring a suit Come here for dry cleaning regularly. The service here is very good. The price is not expensive. Today I took my sweater to the dry cleaners. The service price is 230 baht per person. The service provider said that the SCB card can be discounted by 20%. I'm glad I got the discount. The service provider is smiling, lovely, and gives very good advice.

Had a great staycation to celebrate my birthday. We stayed in diplomat suite (got upgraded from premier suite, thanks to rsvn K.nuchanart for being very attentive and lovely). The room is very spacious, decorated in a rather antique way but everything is very well maintained. Bed is comfy, huge bathroom. Food overall was okay, we did eat bf at the dining room, dinner at salvia, and room service for lunch. Service overall was pleasant.

Bad experience The room itself is super small and outdated, which was unexpecting. Upon checking in, I checked to see if we can be upgraded to a standard suite cause our room to noisy However, the lady in front desk refused to honor it. We ended up checking out earlier and switched to a different hotel with more spacious rooms. There’s no benefits if you are tenants the spa same price even restaurants

Excellent as always. Grand Hyatt is one of the best hotel groups in Asia. Beautiful spaces, great service, and my favorite hotel breakfast (yes, the bacon is consistently crispy across all locations).

We had an amazing stay at the grand Hyatt in Bangkok. Our room was nice, clean and quiet. The property itself is gorgeous and we were especially impressed by the breakfast buffet. It was huge and there's truly something for everyone.

This place was really nice. Breakfast was great. Location was amazing. The room was good but had an incredible number of mirrors. I'm not sure why. The gym and staff in the gym were really really good. The pool area was beautiful but the pool itself was cool.

An amazing hotel on Rajadamri/ Pathum Wan area of Bangkok. Access to the Erawan Shrine. Great club lounge and good clean, renovated rooms. Breakfast and evening cocktails are always good. Thank you to K Noot and staff at the club lounge for being so welcoming and friendly

Classy, luxury, Vintage. Don't be fooled by its exterior. Step inside the main hall and you shall be awed. Well spread breakfast buffet. Impeccable service by Aor, who remembers my cup of tea literally and Jaitai, who serves me one of the best soup noodles in town comparable to the street stalls.

Very beautiful and classy hotel that is within walking distance to a variety of shopping centers (including Big C, platinum mall, grand central etc) and the light rail stations. The room that i was given has a very comfortable king sized bed, and very spacious bathroom with both a standing shower as well as a bath tub. Room amenities are very well stocked and ample as well. The buffet lunch of lamb chops and steak was extremely yummy as well! Very courteous staff all around.

A legendary hotel centrally located. Close to all major department stores. As a hotel constructed in 1956, it is really well maintained or at least beautifully renovated. From hardware to service, from reception to lounge, all the details have been paid attention to. It is truly a 5-star hotel and every aspect of it lives to the standard. I’d come back next time I’m in Bangkok.

This is a beautifully designed luxury hotel in a high-end part of Bangkok. The rooms in this hotel are well appointed, and the staff do a great job of providing proactive service. For World of Hyatt Globalist members, check-in is done at the Club Lounge on the 16th floor. You’re able to enjoy afternoon tea or breakfast in the club lounge, while they handle all of your check in formalities; something I haven’t gotten at any other Hyatt’s before!

The staff were lovely, polite, and well-trained. I had an awesome stay here, especially in the lounge. They greeted me every time when I passed by. The staff could recognize me and addressed me by name. The location was excellent, you can simply walk to most of the shopping spots and BTS.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hyatt. The hotel staff was amazingly pleasant and helpful. One call out is for the Chef. He was greeting restaurant patrons each morning and had amazing energy and an entertaining disposition. The room itself was clean and well appointed. The gym was great and had a mix of free and machine weights. There was a cold dip pool as well as a great sauna. You can't beat the location with the close proximity to the BTS. In addition, we loved walking by the temple each morning which is located next to the hotel.

  • 5/5 Shuhui L. 9 months ago on Google
The service is very good. The staff are polite and alert to all your needs and requests. The rooms are clean and big however may need a bit more work on the sound proofing as it can still hear people shouting and making a ruckus in the corridor as well as things dropping on the ceiling. The staff really cleans the room repeatedly so you do not have to worry about any trash not being disposed off.

This is a landmark hotel, known to most in Bangkok. I stayed there for about 8 nights because our conference was there. But i relocated to another 5* hotel for 5x cheaper price. The rooms are poorly insulated for noise. In fact, i had to change my room to face away from sky train. The room had some minor problems, with unreliable tv, wiring and light controls. Room service was prompt, though their menu is a app that does not allow you to view breakfast the night before. Overall, good service, spectacular lobby area and pool, but over priced and dated building. Service was high standard, though not of a consistent standard.

Very happy as a Hyatt Globalist. Pretty good value of money considering the location, the room, the food & services. It is near all the shopping malls and restaurants. I used upgrade certificate and got upgraded to a suite for my 6-night stay. The suite was a pretty decent size room. Breakfast and pre-dinner at the lounge were pretty good. The service was excellent. Thank you all the staff especially Khun Gai, Khum Vara, and Khun Garfield at the lounge. Great valet service and bellboys. The gym was also great with a lot of equipment. I also tried the steam room, sauna, and hot/cold tub at the gym. They were great. Overall i had a good stay. Will visit again!!

Grand House in a perfect location near the embassy quarter - easy access by public transport or private limo, plus of course tuktuk availability just down the street. Big shopping mall within walking distance. Rooms are spacious, modern and clean, staff excellent and professional at all times. Breakfast 1st class and famous dining option on the ground floor. Would book again in a heartbeat.

This hotel is the best rated in this area. I have been coming here for years. If you stay for a few days you definitely won't be let down. I love this place. Every time I come to Bangkok, I stay here. They have the best buffet and very good spa treatments. Thank you for always taking care of me Grand Hyatt. Hands down, one of the most gorgeous hotels that I've ever been to! High ceilings and a classic touch, with lots of nature and plants everywhere. The Grand Hyatt Club team is amazing. They really try to accommodate your needs, going out of their way to help their customers. I cannot remember all the names, but Ruby was one of them! Her dedication and professionalism should be recognized, as well as that of all the staff. I would definitely stay here again the next time I come to Bangkok. 5 out of 5!!

We stayed here for two nights and upgraded to a suite. When we checked in, the room wasn't ready, they offered us to a regular room first then we moved to the suite later. The room was clean. The location was so convenient, walking distance to the Central World and Siam Paragon and the BTS (metro station). The staffs were so kind and they always provide fast and friendly service. especially thanks to the teams at the club lounge.

Dinner had a limited choice. Same with breakfast. But the staff was so hospitable, courteous and accommodating. The suite had an old design but spacious. We had a good stay :)

The granddaddy of Bangkok/Sukhumvit hotels. Incredibly experienced and welcoming staff in a stately setting. Location can't be beat, food and beverage are top notch and the executive lounge is one of the best in SE Asia. Globalists are well-looked after.

This is my favorite hotel in the center of Bangkok, hands down, and the food three just keeps getting better. I've honestly had better Italian food at their Salvia restaurant than I've had in Rome. Their spin on pad Thai deserves acclaim. Great gym, superb spa. Decent yoga classes.

Had two day breakfast for now, but everyday the selection is limited and the food quality is not good. I saw rotten tomato in my plate,at first I thought it is “an accident “,I did not take pictures, then when I got my fruits, the rotten and moled passion fruit,it is disgusting. If you pay money to have breakfast, not worth at all. Even for free breakfast, the food quality is my concern. The staffs are friendly. But I don’t like the quality of the food!!!

The Grand Hyatt Hotel in Bangkok is an really awesome Hotel. I mostly stay in Hyatt and this was one of the best so far. The Hotel is very modern, especially the rooms. You feel like home within seconds. Beds are very comfortable. The Location is also great. You can reach everything fast from there. The BTS is around the corner. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I had one little problem and got the solution instantly. If you want to relax a bit, the pool is great. Gym is also available and its big. Overall an really awesome Hotel.

It‘s a solid hotel in my opinion. I had a spacious and clean room for three nights on the fifteenth floor. The hotel staff, especially in the club lounge, was courteous and professional. To be honest, the pool and surroundings are not up to date anymore, but this is apparently due to the age of the building. They operate a good italian restaurant on the mezzanine level. I would choose this hotel again in the future next time in Bangkok!

Definitely recommend. Good area of the city. Hotel was so clean. Breakfast is incredible- huge spread. Staff was so attentive. Our airline lost our luggage and Concierge handled it so well. Everyone spoke English. The yoga class at the gym was wonderful. Pool was a beautiful escape from the bustling city. Thank you so much for our stay!

We did our one day test and quarantine here. Airport pickup and test at the hotel went smoothly. Great after a 37h journey. The suite was beautiful. Breakfast buffet was great; and the club lounge was enjoyable. Staff were very friendly and the chef even remembered my Eggs Benedict preference the 2nd morning. Very likely to come back for a staycation.

Such an amazing stay! From the moment we stepped in great service and help from bellman followed by a personalized check in lounge for globalists and personal walk to the room. Ploy and Bam at the grand club lounge had made our stay absolutely wonderful for our family! Very professional and helpful. The building itself is very grand with beautiful lobby, great breakfast with wide variety of food, central area with sky bridges to multiple malls and metro. Also great pool with wooden open doors on the 5th floor.

A classic luxury hotel, centrally located, with the friendliest staff ever. Their front door, reception, lobby restaurant, and executive floor teams were so friendly and accommodating. Wonderful and broad breakfast buffet too. Highly recommend it.

Words can not describe the level of satisfaction I had with this hotel. This is a 5 star experience from the customer service to the facilities and amenities. The staff was so professional and meticulous about details that added value to my stay. The Hyatt corporation will continue to have my business if this is what is to be expected!
