Great location near iconic Giant Red Swing if you choose to stay in Old Bangkok. Walking distance to most historical monuments. 10min walk from nearest Sam Yot MRT station through relaxing Rommaninat park. The hostel (that feels like a hotel with en-suite bathroom) is 5/5 stars. Polite and helpful staff. Clean and modern layout (one of the best hostels I have seen). Clean pool. Comfortable bed and shower. It’s very safe to walk back at night. The only disadvantage (not of the hostel) of this area relative to downtown is difficulty to find food at night because most shops/ cafes so close early. Having said that JayFai and Thipsamai are just around the corner 5min walk!

Lovely, comfortable, great spacious bustling, and excellent value for money. One of the best hotel pools I have ever been in (it’s saltwater and surrounded by trees). We loved spending time here. The staff were super friendly. They also have a reasonably priced restaurant with lenient opening hours that allow for a late breakfast.

Outstanding Hotel! The staff was incredibly helpful. The rooms were super clean and bed was very comfortable. The atmosphere in the building was so nice! Location is great; close to everything but hidden so that you don’t get any noise of busy city when you’re in the room. Definitely highly recommended for your Bangkok stay.

The private rooms are stunning. So white and clean and the beds are incredibly comfy. The pool area is gorgeous and the water is super refreshing after a hot day exploring Bangkok!

Rooms were clean,well air conditioned and spacious. Found it very safe here, location is great quiet for sleeping at night and not too far from any attractions. Staff are very pleasant. Pool was great with chill out areas. Would stay here again if in Bangkok

We stayed only for one night here, yet it was a good experience. The rooms are sized very well, quiet and efficiently furnished. The lobby and the pool area are fine, our kids spent few hours enjoying there. The rooms are relatively clean, comfortable beds and soft linen. Internet is good, although I didn't try downloading huge files. Check in and check out experience is fine, keep in mind that even if you have paid the room in advance, they will ask for security deposit of 500 baht (or equivalent) which they will return to you upon checkout. It is very important to keep the receipt, otherwise they will not return you the deposit. As always, keep your valuables safe and with you at all times as there were some complaints from the guests who has cash missing. The hostel is in a very good location, walkable to many spots, for the rest you can take tuktuk or taxi. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, so the hotel that is slightly off the main road is very quiet at night. Hope this helps 🙏

Great hostel!! Would really recommend when visitng Bangkok. All staff is really nice and available 24/7. The rooms are large and they get cleaned every day. The pool is beautiful and pretty big too. It is located on a 20 minute walk from Khaosan road, which is convenient after a night out. I'd recommend the place for every age group, it's amazing!

beautiful, spacious rooms (i stayed in a twin room) and nice pool in a good location of bangkok. there is an MRT station about 10mins away and a 7 eleven around 3mins away. lots of places to eat nearby. also the security guards were very kind and helpful

Loved the Chern Hostel, Great Staff, Clean Room, Great Place. Great for first stays in Bangkok, didn't meet or see many backpackers but Khaosan road is a 10 minute drive away. Security man on the door is the kindest Bloke you'll meet.

The poole area looks stunning. Our room got freshly renovated, as well as the whole complex. The staff is very helpful, polite and honest. I thought my wallet with a bunch of cash and everything else got stolen at the Khaosan road, but the next morning the staff said they found it in the lobby area and gave it back to me with everything still inside. I had an amazing experience and I really loved the service!!!

Very nice hotel in a very strategic location near by many restaurants and street food and wats. Save neighborhood, quiet rooms. The room was very spacious and clean. We had one with balcony. Comfortable bed and clean shower. They have also a big pool and nice garden area. Will recommend.

I stayed here for three nights in October. The staff at this hotel were great, very helpful with checking in and out, any enquiries we had and there was constantly a taxi outside which we found great. The bedrooms were very basic, and bathroom very tired. Nice pool area. For the price you can’t really complain.

Amazing quality for the price! Big, clean rooms. Some days it seemed our towels weren’t replaced, but as soon as we put them on the ground that was not an issue. Would recommend over any backpacker hostel!

Very nice building and great rooms. The pool was great and service was very nice at reception. There was a communal area to. This is a good mix between hotel and hostel and I would recommend for anyone staying in Bangkok

The Staff is not friendly. They're not smile with us anytime, they were talking with us like they didn't want us to stay in this hotel. We have 15 people, stay 2 night with 7 rooms. So sad because of these behavior I will not coming back this hotel for sure

I enjoyed my stay at Chers Hotel; it's well-located and the hotel was fine. However, I was disappointed that the hotel has a policy restricting women you pick up from Khao San road from entering guest rooms 🧐

Great budget place to stay, modern and clean, the staff is friendly. Excellent location for all the main attractions, and the 7/11 shop is just around a corner. We only had a short stay on the way to the different location, so we didn't use the swimming pool, a cafe and other facilities. We managed to see a lot of temples in one day, just using tuk-tuk's for 200 bats per ride.

The rooms where clean and there was free waters in the fridge everyday. Our bath stop didn’t stop water at all but got fixed right away. The walls are made of paper and with the mix of drunk people coming home late at night and kids running in the hall in the morning made the sleep not great. Location was good and the pool was nice. There wasn’t much open in the area.

Lovely welcoming place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms cleaned and changed every day. Taxi drivers always outside but we checked with reception staff first, they checked what we should pay before we went so that the price is fixed. Lovely swimming pool, kept clean all day. Small cafe open for light snacks from 7 till 2pm. Really enjoyed our stay here. Fantastic temple 10 mins walk from hostel. A very accommodating place to stay. Highly recommended.

Just like all Thai people, super friendly and kind. The guard outside is really friendly too. Room are very clean and well maintained! Next to the hostel near walk straight and on the left side. You have an amazing place for streetfood!

Very clean and comfortable rooms, lovely staff and the kitchen makes beautiful coffees in the mornings. They have a couple of taxis that are always available from the foyer too. Thank you for having us we will be back next time in Bangkok.

Great value for your money. The rooms are clean and big (the shower is not very hot, but ok). The service and people are really nice and accommodating. I enjoyed my stay at this hostel for the money I paid. The only thing is that the pool is always very busy, consequently not very clean.

Very central and clean hostel, with a nice pool and very friendly personnel! Many sights and temples are in walking distance and nice street food is around the corner. The atmosphere is very nice and relaxed. We had some special requests for our baby and our bicycles and the personnel were always ready to help us with a smile on their face :) Especially, I can recommend the rooms in the new building. They are big and well organized with balconies to the pool side.

It's a clean room with a nice ambience. The pool is extraordinary with trees, lights and plants. nice vibe and rooms are not so big but value for money.

A really beautiful and peaceful hotel, in the heart of the city. The situation is ideal (you can do everything walking) and you have a wonderful park + temples around! The pool is also really pleasant, the room spacious with a wonderful balcony.

Really nice and quiet hotel! The location is great, as many attractions in Bangkok are within about a 20 minute walk. The MRT is also quite close by (about 10 minute walk). It was clean, the pool was nice and the neighbourhood was laid back and felt pretty local. The staff were also friendly and very happy to help with any questions we had. Definitely recommend!

This place is beautiful. I stayed 4 nights and things were tranquil after a long day out exploring. The staff are great. They know just enough English to help with the important stuff. There are coin laundry and dryer machines. The area is not blocked with traffic so it was a breeze to go around.

Clean, spacious and comfortable. It's more like hotel than hostel so I really recommend the place. The location is very good, it is quite close to interesting places such as the Palace and Khaosan road, which you can reach within no more than 15 minutes on foot. The rooms are well conceived and have air condition. Breakfast is very good and the service is from 7.00 to 14.00 (!!), fantastic for non early birds. You can also wash and dry your clothes. You can leave your stuff in the storage room if you plan to travel around the country, so no need to pay for an airport locker. The only negative thing, is that the staff does not speak good English nor they understand it very well, so the communication takes lots of time. But other than that, the place is really a very nice choice.

Stayed here in early 2020. Well situated if you‘re keen on exploring the little streets and canals of ‚old Bangkok‘. The double bed room I stayed in was very clean and spacious, shower was hot, there was free water every morning, the safe worked, the AC too. The atmosphere is more hotel than hostel like - even though there are spacious common areas, I never saw anyone there. It‘s the perfect place to recover from a long flight and sleep a lot.

Staff are attentive, friendly, and helpful. We had our bicycles with us and they helped with storage while we went on a side trip and with getting a big enough van to airport. Hotel is spacious and clean with big eating/working area and pool. Has washing machine and dryers! Very affordable price. When we were there during covid it was particularly low on booking at 650 thb/night, which they matched. Thank you CHERN for such a comfy stay!
