I LOVE coming here and I’m so happy I found it! The best Panang curry I’ve had in my life, especially when you ask for it extra spicy 😍 Such friendly people, playing fun music and having great time with each other while still being friendly and attending to guests. I’ve eaten here twice and both times after I got my food I was asked three times by different people if everything is fine. Prices are very reasonable but the portion and taste is phenomenal! I’ll probably come back every day while I’m in Bangkok!

Those people are literally the sweetest on earth. A very cute place with very good food and service. It is a cute place near the water. Our hostel is at a 2 minute walk and we walked past it each time. I was surprised to see it full during evenings so we decided to try it out and we don’t regret it. The first time I had yellow curry and my friend had fried rice with egg. Both were amazing. The spring rolls and vegetables with cashew nuts are very good as well. We are both vegetarians and for each curry there was a vegetarian, and a vegan option, so we were really happy. A must stop when you are willing to explore the Thai cuisine.

We visited this restaurant on our first of five nights in Bangkok and didn’t eat anywhere else, except the day they were closed. Amazing food! They cater for vegetarians, the food is fresh, taste is exceptional, and it’s cheap too. We loved every dish, but the Massaman Curry with tofu was a standout. The staff offer excellent service and food is prepared very quickly. Sitting outside by the canal (no smell), gave a lovely ambience as there are no motorbikes whizzing past. It gets very busy around 7-8pm but people are prepared to wait for a table. We can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough!!

Nice family restaurant, we had a great time there. The service is fast, kind and efficient. The place is really lively and enjoyable, located along the river. We ate outside so it was really hot. The food is really good, tasty and quite cheap and the portions are generous (we ordered too much). The curry were a bit too spicy but the pad Thai was great and the spring rolls were crispy.

Hands down the best coconut soup I’ve had ever. And the curries were delicious. Packed with a load of different nice chunky vegetables. Lovely setting by the canal and you can bring your own alcohol. Will be back for sure.

After traveling Bangkok for a week I can say this is by far the best restaurant to visit. The amazing staff always make you feel welcomed and are some of the nicest people I have ever met. I ended up extending my stay just so I could eat here again. I will definitely be coming back here again and again.

This was the best meal I had in Thailand. Wonderful flavours and excellent service, please support this amazing family business with your patronage - they’re open again after COVID and you won’t regret it. I’ll be eating here every day for the remainder of my trip.

Me and my girlfriend have been in bangkok for three days and have already eaten here twice, the food is amazing we’ve loved everything we’ve gotten as well as never waiting more than 10-15 minutes! It’s in the perfect spot by the water, very comfortable and all the staff is so so friendly! Such a good experience will definitely eat here at least once more before we leave.

I dined twice at this family-owned restaurant near my hostel and was pleasant with the quality of the food and the cozy ambiance. During my first visit, I had green curry and was satisfied with the generous portion, well-balanced flavors, and the cleanliness of the establishment. The dishes were nicely presented in beautiful bowls, and I particularly enjoyed sitting by the canal and watching people go by. The service was quick and the staff polite and efficient. The only thing I would have liked to know before ordering was that rice was not included in the dish. On my second visit with a friend for lunch, we found the staff a little inflexible with our requests, which was disappointing given that it was early afternoon and the restaurant was not busy.

Food: hot and tasty, I went here twice for dinner during my 5-day vacation, love the “Chicken cashew” dish, the curries were all delicious, 10/10 recommended. Should wear long sleeve if you’re attractive to mosquito cuz they’re next to the river( or canal)

Went here tonight and had the best meal in Thailand so far. Food was sooo tasty, so reasonable, huge portions and came quickly. The staff were very friendly, great english and even offered to return our money for the fresh Mango because it wasn’t as sweet as they can be but i still enjoyed it! Would go here every night if we weren’t leaving tomorrow!🥲

Such good Pad Thai. The owner is very nice and created a beautiful space to enjoy food and eat in the middle Of the city. Just beside the canal with small tables underneath the trees. All the ingredients were fresh to create the tasty dish. They do not have beer but allow you to grab one at the 7-eleven to eat with your meal. Will definitely visit again!

Arroy mak mak! (Very very delicious ) I've been traveling in Thailand for a month. It is this type of surprisingly great food that can make your day.... Literally stumbled down a stair into this friendly, happy, family run sidewalk restaurant. Terrific! I enjoyed spicy ( just right) chicken Pad Thai, some fresh spring rolls, and a lovely coconut water with the coconut already scraped and in the glass for me. Prices are amazing, but not as good as the food. Do yourself a favor and stop in...

Tasty home made looking food. We were told it’ll be a 20 minute wait, but got served faster than that. The staff were friendly and attentive, upbeat music and atmosphere by the river. Very reasonable prices: about 8 spring rolls, 1 chicken panang curry and 1 chicken cashew nut, 2x rice, plus Thai iced tea and 620ml Chang beer with also 2x waters for only 410 THB. That’s £9! Go and visit. They have cats inside too and the waiters wear bunny ears… what’s not to like.

This place is always the best. It’s a family run business only open for 4.5 hours a day 6 days a week (dinner time only). It’s such a wonderful vibe and the food is delicious. I’ve been coming here for years and will come back for years to come. Please visit them and keep supporting them. It’s fun to see them grow every year that I return.

The Family is a must-eat-at restaurant in Bangkok. Fantastic flavorful food in a comfortable setting with friendly staff. We had mango smoothies/mojito, watermelon juice, Tom yum fried rice, stir fried basil with rice, pad Thai, pad se-ew, and more, and everything was amazing. Plus, almost every dish is less than 100 baht, so it’s super affordable. Highly recommended, just be prepared to either go early or wait.

A delightful riverside restaurant with stunning views. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, and the service is excellent. Prices vary depending on the season and are currently slightly higher than usual, but even at these prices, it is still very reasonable considering the high quality and generous portion sizes. I will definitely be visiting again to try more of the menu.

This place exceeded my expectations! The food was just perfect. As a veterinarian I didn’t miss anything, the food had plenty of vegetables and tasted amazing. The staff was friendly and the food came super fast. It was such a huge portion that I couldn’t possibly finish it, so leftovers go with me :) I can honestly only recommend The Family!

Ordered coconut soup with rice. It looks like Tom Yum but the taste was different. Can smell coconut milk in it. It was really good. Seating near the river and enjoyed the meal was good experience. Friendly staffs, good and quick services. The price reasonable in Bangkok. Next time I’ll order Tom Yum in here.

Just finished an outstanding meal at the family. The portion sizes are very large and we ended up ordering too much (now I get to have some for breakfast 😊). We ordered green and yellow curry, spring rolls, vegetable and cashew and rice. Every dish was super tasty. The staff are wonderful, gracious and just lovely. We will be back to try more dishes. Thank you for a lovely evening.

One of the best Massaman curry I’ve tasted in one month living in Thailand. Amazing spring rolls and banana sticky rice too !! You have to come and eat in this cute little place at least once when visiting Bangkok.

What an unexpectedly delicious meal. This restaurant sits right of the bridge in an alley, and the menu is written on a whiteboard. All the food was delicious and full of flavor. Get the spring rolls to share and the Panang curry (spicy!) Also, bring a bottle of water or buy one there, because it’s hard to hear such hot (temperature) curry in the heat, even at night!

A great place to eat some authentic food beside the bridge. WHAT I ORDERED? I ordered their Chicken Cashew Nuts for 90 baht and I’m not sure if I got the right one as I get the vegetables though it has chicken on it. Service is big its good for 2 people already. AMBIANCE?: The place is cozy and beside a clean canal. Went there by afternoon but I guess its also great to ear by evening. SERVICE? Servers are very helpful but mind the waiting or serving time of the food at it might took longer than you expected.

Very nice location, the food was very good, the prices are okay as well and the staff is very attentive and willing to fullfill any extra wishes you May have. Would totally recommend! Portion sizes are big as well. We ordered a Chinese noodle soup for a starter and both a curry as our main course and a serving of spring rolls to share. Everything was very delicious but just too much for the both of us.

Food is amazing! We had pad thai with shrimp and it was great. Cute location on the riverside. We had to wait a bit but they tell you the waiting time when you ask to sit down so that you can decide if that works for you. Great place, will come back!

Great food, great price, great service. A cheap alternative and food with great taste. The waitresses are so polite and kind— they try to make us feel as comfortable as possible. Personally, given that Bangkok is very hot, I dislike the fact that the tables are outside and there’s no indoor space with air conditioner. This also ends up bringing many bugs. However, it’s worth it. The location is in front of a river, which is nice. Unfortunately they have few options of drinks - only lime juice and one other that I forgot. But overall, great experience. I keep good memories of dinners there with my partner.

We ate here twice while in Bangkok & both times the food and service were brilliant. Great little place by the side of the canal, always very busy and for good reason! Offers options for vegetarians/vegans, we would recommend their tofu pad thai, yellow curry & spring rolls. Service is quick & very friendly 😁

Great find with excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Family run establishment with lots of good vibes. I was alone so didn’t get to order as much as I wanted to but everyone was happy with their plates. I got the spring rolls and the green curry. Highly recommend!

Perhaps the best Pad Thai I’ve ever eaten in my life! Brilliantly situated by the river (make sure to wear mosquito spray if visiting at night!), the food is without doubt the best my partner and I had whilst in Bangkok. Our only regret was that we found it on our last night! Highly recommend 5/5

This restaurant is an outdoor space on the canal. It has little stool chairs but the location is charming. The highlight is the food. We had a wonderful Chicken with Cashew Nuts. The value is the star.

So far the best Thai street food place that I went in Bangkok. Really tasty curries and noodles and the portions are very very generous!

  • 5/5 Chris T. 4 years ago on Google
Amazing food and drinks here. We stayed at a hostel next door and every night it was packed. We managed to get a table on our last night and it was really worth it. I would recommend the Mojito's, they are really tasty and are a great price. The food portions were really generous and tasted amazing. The staff were welcoming and easy to talk to. As I am not the best with spice I asked for as little as possible which was perfect for me as it still had a little bit of a punch. All in all it was a 10/10.

  • 5/5 Jot W. 8 months ago on Google
Wow, this place is simply fantastic. Everything we tried was not only authentic but packed full of flavour. We will definitely be coming back here before we go back home to try out more from the menu. Would give 6 stars if I could.

Really good place and atmosphere. Lots of cats but they dont bother, clean place and cosy. It doesnt seem to be in Bangkok and the food is really good. I had the fried rice with Tom Yum, mild spicy, which was amazingly good. The host was very nice and friendly.

Wow!!! Go here! The setting is nice and the taste is awesome. First I was a bit skeptical to be honest because there are only tourists inside - the price is 70 baht for the vegetarian dishes. I ordered the Penang Curry and you can choose the spicy level ! Had spicy - the second highest level and it was outstanding Thanks for the waiter to explain the different Curry’s and checked with any allergies or special requests- it had mushrooms inside yeah 😍😍😍😍👍 Please go here if you want to experience awesome food in a nice setting and so cheap!! But i was lucky to be there early maybe get a reservation! Thank you for this awesome food experience :D

Excellent restaurant. It is very popular but for a reason. The food is delicious and comes in bigger portions than other places for the same price. If you go at night be ready to wait around 30 minutes to get a table. The only drawback is the waiting time once you order, they warn it could take up to one hour. In our case it was only around 45 minutes but it is something they should try to improve. Despite the wait we had a nice meal and the owner and staff were very friendly.

  • 5/5 Phillip Y. 4 years ago on Google
Robert and his wife are very kind people, and I am happy to see that their business is getting so many customers. This place gets very busy in the evenings, so you may want to come for lunch or an early dinner. I ordered their famous mussaman curry with chicken, which was packed with ingredients. I also asked for the dish to be very spicy, and it was indeed made that way. (Mussaman Curry is not normally spicy, and some Thai restaurants are worried foreigners won't like truly spicy dishes.) I was very happy with the dish.

  • 5/5 Fiona W. 4 years ago on Google
First visit to Bangkok, we saw the great reviews and it was even better than expected! Worth the wait (I suggest booking ahead) we had the massaman curry that was perfect for my Australian palate, spicy pad Thai for my husband (very spicy) mango sticky rice (wow!!) and a freshly made frozen mojito — highly recommend! Great vibe, wonderful service, 10/10 would come again!

  • 5/5 Gio 4 months ago on Google • 2 reviews
Holly molly!! I just went there for dinner and it has been the BEST THAI FOOD that I ever had! It’s VERY busy but it’s so worth it. This is how you experience a real Thai food experience. The people who served and took orders were so kind and helpful. The food is AMAZING!! Beware of the spicy level. I’m Mexican and I’m used to eat very spicy food but this dishes are way too spicy (delicious though). So if you don’t like-eat spicy food just order non spicy. The Thai Tea and Coconut water are fantastic!!! We ordered mango for dessert and my husband was really surprised that it was super sweet and fresh. Please leave at least 10% for tip because the people running this business deserve it!
