This was one of the best restaurants I've visited on my trip to Bangkok. Amazing service, delicious food, great interior and ambience, and good price. Make sure not to miss it! Edit: Went back and tried the gluten free blueberry pancake and it was delicious!

Really good, delicious food. The portions are huge, the flavours are just spot on and the place is super quirky. They serve both Thai and European dishes so if you are tired of local foods (is it possible?) Then you can have something different here. The prices are sensible but you can only pay by cash so have some on you before visiting!

Delicious, healthy, various, fresh, friendly. VEG!!! The menu Rich of choices, starting from the most Thai traditional going to the more classical. We got, mix salad, papaya salad, tofu veggie clar soup, 2 veggie burgers one with tofu patty one with tempeh. All was fresh, testy, healthy and delicious. The atmosphere Lovely. Nice lights, nice background music, nice tables with the groud seats options and a couple of table also outside. The staff The owner/boss is a lovely man, from hawaii living since many years in Asia, gentle and really welcoming. Waiters speaking good English really gentle and friendly. Location Central but not too much nice and cozy Definitely racomanded. For vegetarian vegan and also.meat eater

Very very tasty Curry. A little bit spicy was the perfect start for thai food. Not too spicy for someone with a german taste 😅 The Restaurant is located in a small street.

Superb ambience (great lighting & soothing classical music in the background). Ordered several different items and each of them were very very tasty & healthy. A must visit when you are here.

So far Mango was one of my favorite vegan restaurants in Bangkok, but my last visit was quite a disappointment. The eating space at Ethos is just a stunner compared to Mango - it is very peaceful, has more space, and exhibits a very relaxed atmosphere. The falafel, hummus, and tahini were to die for. I love that they have health options in various dishes - like fried in coconut oil, use olive oil for salads - as an up-price add-on. No steel dish containers and no air-con - something I just love. My new favorite vegan place in Bangkok.

Came here and had the vegetable tum yum noodle soup. My partner had the mixed vegetables. Both dishes were tasty without being salty, over-cooked, or grease/oil laden. Vegetables were crisp and fresh! Off the main road so the atmosphere was cosy. We’ll come back. (We’d highly recommend this place over the nearby Mango Vegetarian and Vegan which still uses lots of plastic and food wasn’t as good.)

Gem in an alley near Khao san road. Be prepared to wait or share a table if it is busy. They have tables and floor seating, take off your shoes when you enter. Service is good but not over attentive so it may not be the best if you are in a rush. Pricing is 80-150 baht for Thai dishes, 40 baht+ for drinks, and 150-250 is baht for Indian or western dishes. Relatively cheap for a restaurant in Bangkok.

I ate there almost every day during my stay in Bangkok. The food is good, portions are big, the vibe of the place is nice. The falafel and Hummus were not the best yet still ok (but I have high standards for that). Prices are around 100-200. It could be a bit hot if you sit at the table near the kitchen. Overall, quality:portion:price 5 stars.

Decent Restaurant, highly recommend if you're looking for a great selection of vegan or vegetarian food. Very cute and nicely decorated interior. A bit more pricey than other places though. Still worth a visit if you're nearby. Free wifi and friendly service, plus nice music. The menu is also really detailed and has some funny remarks

Very nice place with great vibes and atmosphere! Vegan food comes in large portions. Most of what we tasted was delicious! Unfortunately service is very slow. It took about half an hour for some of the dishes to arrive.

A very cosy, extremely tasty and healthy vegetarian options. I fell in love with this place and visited it twice on the same day! 😂 Their ingredients are fresh and homemade. I would definitely recommend this place not only to vegetarians but to everyone!

I tried their tempeh burger that sadly just wasn't that good. the burger was dry with a weird fish flavor that didn't went well with the peanuts sauce. I also ordered their crumble cake with coconut cream which was nice, I liked the coconut cream but the cake was dry and bland, their coconut chocolate & raisins smoothie on the other hand was great. the place itself is cozy with a calm vibe to it so maybe that's compensate on the average food.

This is a really cozy and pleasant restaurant. The meals are more than perfect! A unique place for healthy lunch, dinner or dessert. Many choices, vegan meals avaiable too. The style and the volume of music is proper. Comfortable seats at the table or on the floor.

Very flavourless noodles dishes, we had three of the noodle dishes and all lacked flavour. Even putting more pepper, chilli and soy sauce didn’t help. Over priced beer but a nice chocolate shake. The atmosphere was nice and warming and they had lots of options.

What a fantastic find! This restaurant in Bangkok exceeded my expectations as a vegetarian. The food was incredibly delicious, and the portions were generous. I opted for the iced Thai tea, which perfectly complemented my brown rice and potato and tofu curry. The ambiance was delightful, and the staff provided attentive service throughout. I'll definitely be back for more! 💯💯 อาหารอร่อยมาก! (Aahaan aroi maak!)

My go to restaurant in Bangkok for delicious vegan breakfast pancakes (and dinner pancakes😋)! These were…OMG!! I went three times there and ordered the strawberry one two times because this was incredible. I also tried the almonds and chocolate one and even if it was delicious the strawberry one is beyond that! Sad I didn’t get to try the apple and cinnamon one because they were out of it two times that I tried to order them. I also tried the guava juice, I love the taste, watermelon shake and muesli and fruit with soy milk. Very nice as well but I would say that the star here are the pancakes!!⭐️Specially for vegan people, that’s always difficult find vegan options for pancakes.

This is by far my favourite restaurant in Thailand, let alone Bangkok. The selection of veggie and vegan food is amazing. We came to eat here twice in 2 days. The food is delicious and so fresh. We had the pad thai, green curry and som tam (green papaya salad). We were so happy to be able to try som tam (vegan) as we know that this isn't readily available elsewhere due to the use of fish sauce. They have a good selection of juices and shakes made on site that are also super tasty and very reasonably priced. We also love their menu as it's really informative about the health benefits of the food served. This is a great restaurant for anyone!

Healthy and delicious food, hummus is a must! And also chocolate with coconut drink! The price are quite cheap for the food that you get, just a little bit more expensive than local food!

  • 4/5 Brittany O. 5 years ago on Google
The food and drinks were excellent. Tons of food options. The waiter was friendly and the place has a really cool vibe. I would definitely recommend this place to others. If I had any criticisms or would be that it took around 40 minutes to get our food (2 people). I'm all fairness it was a pretty packed house, but 40 minutes is a really long time to wait at a restaurant. Also, since it is a vegan/vegetarian restaurant, many of the customers like to be eco friendly, so I would highly suggest getting reusable or paper straws. Anyway, despite those comments, I would definitely go back to this place and explore their menu more. It was worth the wait.

  • 5/5 Jessy P. 9 months ago on Google
The menu offers a very large variety of vegan items with gluten free options and the possibility to seat on the floor makes it even more amazing. The only negative point is that, the staff has a kind of a random attitude and their skills for the job is also kind of random (for exemple not knowing what is gluten when you sell gluten-free food) or as a part of the healthy concept they propose, they wrote in the menu that coca cola is bad (yes it is) but selling alcohol on the next page is ok? And maybe trivial but, or everyone take off their shoes, or no one, but the whatever mix the staff do just give dirty feet for those who took them off. (There's the vegan restaurant Mango just few doors up the road that found a really good way to make everyone take off their shoes, by writing it on a paper... Think about it guys) I give five stars anyway because it didn't prevent anyone to enjoy the food.

Had the Penang curry... Very salty with this typical ready-made curry-paste garlic taste... it made me very thirsty and left me with brain fog, I suspect there is msg in it, perhaps the team is just not aware of it? veggies a boring mixture with no flavour. The people really don't seem to enjoy their work, totally unmotivated expressions and barely a word to the farangs... Who knows why that is.... Much better veggie options in the area with friendly people...

After a very long day in Bangkok my wife and me were almost starving, so wanted to dinner at Ethos. Unfortunatlly, the restaurant, which has a very nice interior, was full, so we decide to take the pad see ew for take away. After a few minutes, a free table was available but we gave it to some girls, who just arrived. We waited at the stairs in front of the restaurant. 10 minutes later, the waiter came to us and pleased us to wait like 2 meters away from the restaurant, because we would block the entrance. Another 2 minutes later, he came out with the food.. Wow, that was definitly worth. Sorry, but this kind of service is very poor. The food tasted not very fresh (broccoli was very yellow and it had some big, not eatable pepper in it).

  • 4/5 Tess M. 4 years ago on Google
Super delicious food. It can be a bit hot because it’s typical Thai style restaurant which means it’s open in the front, long and narrow. I love to sit on the floor and eat so I enjoyed the floor cushions and low tables but if you want a table and chairs they have that too. My only complaint is the menu is a bit overpriced which can be blamed on its close proximity to Khao San. It’s pretty much made for expats, there wasn’t a single Thai in sight.

Good vegetarian/ vegan restaurant in a nice atmosphere with fair prices (curries on average 150 Baht). Offers wide range of dishes for breakfast (vegan pancakes, porridge). Filling portions but if you are still hungry, you can add an additional portion of rice for only 25 Baht. Friendly staff. Juice bar is incredible!

Very nice restaurant in the busy affordable local market, lots of vegan and vegetarian choices, small and cute, services is great, food tastes delicious with a lot of veggies, we ordered few shakes, all yummy, pad Thai, fried rice, red curry and green papaya salad. Everything was great. They should have exhaust fan, cooking smell was little too much. Prices are good, about 800 batts for 4.

Nice vegetarian restaurant with many options. The restaurant is a no-shoes place with options to sit on the floor and on regular tables. We came here after the recommendation of a friend to try the curry. The panang curry was really delicious and full of vegetables - we can highly recommend this. We also had spicy rice noodles with vegetables which did not have a lot of taste and was rather boring. Also we tried the pineapple-basil shake, a refreshing good-tasting option.

  • 5/5 Eugene N. 4 years ago on Google
Really very nice restaurant where the vegan and vegetarian dishes are clearly labelled in an extensive menu. Lots of choice here, as is the range of fruit smoothies. I like the decor a lot and the atmosphere is chill with the music and the choice of seating options - close to the floor, and on conventional raised chairs, although the latter can, in the event of a packed night, be a little close to other diners. The portions are very generous, so I wouldn’t recommend ordering more than one dish per person. Brown rice is a separate item.

  • 4/5 Trish K. 4 years ago on Google
Delicious, healthy vegetarian food with gluten-free options. Highly recommend the coconut shakes and yogurt with honey. I also enjoyed the gluten-free banana chocolate almond pancakes and fresh-squeezed juices. Veggie stir-fry with tempeh was delicious except for the loathsome onions, which weren’t on the ingredients list on the menu. Service is not overly welcoming, I often had to get up and order at the desk. Some speak better English than others. Cash only, which is annoying given the pricing. I would easily have spent twice as much here if I didn't have to keep running for the ATM. Despite the negatives, still my go-to spot in Bangkok for tasty vegetarian treats.

  • 4/5 Kimberly M. 4 years ago on Google
The food was overall good, but I really loved the kombucha they have the most. Although, if you want a large cup of kombucha ... don’t expect much. The food comes out decently fast. There is no AC so it’s really hot in the restaurant. It has a cool vibe to it as well. Not only does it have Thai cuisine but Indian cuisine as well! Lots of expats or foreigners came here to eat. It’s hidden inside an alley way, a bit tricky to find if you’re not familiar to the area. Another plus is that they are near the Grand palace.

Hi Ethos, I'm back in Bangkok after being away for 2 years (Covid restrictions). I have to say, I really miss your cafe - it's one of a kind. In the meantime, I have been going to Mango Cafe (about 1 minute walk from yours) - it looks as though they've copied many of your menu items, but it's done not nearly as well as yours, and it's also somewhat expensive for what is received, and yet they remain rather busy with guests! (I'm guessing because there are not many other like options in the area). I look forward to your reopening and hope you are well. Take care.

On initial impressions this restaurant looks nice and relaxing. The food is okay, I wouldn’t say anything special. The service was poor, it doesn’t take much to smile and be friendly to customers, this made it uncomfortable. The place has potential with friendlier staff. For what it is, it’s overpriced wouldn’t come here again.

Dude, what the hell. OK it's my first time in Bangkok but this is simply awesome. I am not a veggie but my daughter and wife are and I very much enjoyed the Fried Curry on the photo. My best friends wife is from bangkok and what she cooks is 1:1 what you get here. Ambiente is mega nice. I loved it. And: they seem to really care. Glas Bottles, veggie, vegan. Thats unlike Thailand as such (sorry). Nothing more to say. Out.

View meters away from the busy Road but It is very nice and has a quiet atmosphere. Food is great! Also for non vegetarian people (although all the food is vega(n).

This place has a very cool, spiritual vibe to it. I absolutely loved it! Lots of varied options on the menu from different cultures and cuisines. Quite big portion sizes. This falafel was the best I’ve ever had! I’ve been craving it since. Would highly recommend. I had a bit of trouble finding it when following google maps, it’s down a small lane in the middle of a main road.

Sadly, I did not take any pictures of this place, but the onces posted are pretty accurate and up to date. Food and beverages: You will find great vegetarian food on the menu, and you can choose whether you prefer coconut oil to prepare your dish. Different teas and juices are available. Here you can also ask for sugar if needed. No mainstream drinks available. The burger and also the rice with vegetables were very tasty. Atmosphere: This place is so chill. Either you sit on your chairs and enjoy to food there or sit down on the floor. Both is very convenient. Very clean and beautiful place. Highly recommend.

Such a cozy place, away from all the traffic and noise, there was enough space and we could even sit on the floor in a traditional way. Everything’s vegetarian, but most of the options are vegan, which was a delight for me! It’s not cheap like street food, but the prices for vegan AND unique food were very reasonable. Paid 240 Baht for a big Salad with tempeh and oatmeal with Banana. Also amazing service and really friendly staff. Would 100% recommend going there.

A great little vegetarian cafe, everything we had was spot on. The yellow curry was delicious! All staff were lovely too.

Food that I ordered were alright. The atmosphere was good, situated in a small soi opposite Khoa Sarn Rd., so it was pretty quiet in the afternoon. However, the manager/owner (as I believe he is) was not so nice. As I didn‘t see the sign ‘cash only’ that was written, so I asked if there is other way to pay (as most restos in Bkk normally accept bank transfer or Promtpay) but he kept telling me to find an atm somewhere and kept showing me the ‘cash only’ sign on the board in front of the restaurant. The staff though were really nice and we easily fixed this issue and no need for the manager/owner to make this situation more complicated.

A comfortable place with good vibes and no shoes serving international food (not owned by Thais) at decent prices. There’s a book exchange shelf.

In love with this place. I eat for my two-days staying in Bangkok always in this restaurant. Prices are high compared to the average but worth it 💚

👍👍 Undoubtedly the best Pad Thai. This beats all the others. A note of caution - since November 2021 they open for TAKE AWAY ONLY between 10am and 5pm. Get there early, we arrived not knowing this at 4:10pm and the queue was already forming. Excellent attentive and helpful staff tend to every need. The...

👍👍 We waited for 3hrs after arriving at 9:30am, and finally eat our food at 12:30. I suggest to arrive before the shop opens, maybe around 8-8:30am. The omelette is not too flavorsome, just full of crab. The fried fried rice noodle is shockingly good, the texture of the noodle itself is super stretchy,...
