The afternoon tea set is amazing and worth to try. Good quality ingredients and beautiful decoration. The free-flow mocktail is very good as well. It's a special treat for anyone who love sweet. The staff is very polite and friendly. They are very helpful, happy to help taking photo. Too much sweet we could not finish, they're happy to pack them for take away. Really had an incredible time there even it was pouring all day.

This place is just gorgeous and special enough for a walk through. I mean stay for the food and drinks but appreciate it. Once the former Russian embassy, redone for its current purpose, F&B multipurpose while keeping much intact, it also boasts a beautiful back garden for a late afternoon soiree. If you're roaming the halls late thinking 'I'm by myself' rumor has it you may not be.....

This historical colonial architecture may be more attractive to tourists/foreigners, but the atmosphere and vibe are just comfortable and relaxing. Whether you come for a meal in the hall, drinks in the bar, or just afternoon tea in the courtyard, it's enjoyable. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The food is more of a fusion style, delicious and with generous portion.

We came here for the set lunch. Definitely value for money. Service's great, ambience perfect, dishes taste great and well presented. Have to book though, saw quite some being turned away turning up unannounced. This historic mansion/hotel is beautiful and a must stop for photos too.

My visit this time to BKK been welcomed again by great awesome food. One of them is from Paii The House of Sathorn. Food for 4 people, nicely portioned. The crab curry, Som Tam, Tom Yum Goong, Pad Gra Pao Moo Grob and the desserts are all nice. Plates are cleaned because it is too delicious. We will come back to try some other dishes.

Firstly the customer service here is one of a kind! I was very impressed the minute I walked in. The place is very beautiful and unique in its own way! The building, decor and courtyard has its own type of characters. The food was absolutely delicious. The prawns and steak (in pictures) is a must try. Afternoon tea set was also great. The atmosphere in the courtyard is very relaxing. You can sit and sip your tea for a couple hours. Relax from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. I highly recommend this place for the great food and experience. I will for sure be back!

The service is impeccable and we both love the ambience of the restaurant. We were sitting at the indoor bar area instead of the usual dining area. The food served during the afternoon tea is great and delicious. The scones are soft and warm when served. The rest of the food are infused with both Thai and western fusion which is really refreshing.

One of the best meals we had in Bangkok. We ordered multiple dishes to share and were happy to have tried a few different things. Our favorite savory dishes were the chayote leaves, papaya salad, and the tiger steak. But man oh man, the coconut sundae was out of this world! I dare say it's the dessert that I've enjoyed the most in my life! The place is also beautiful and service was great. We were sad we weren't able to come again to try the tea party menu.

Time passed. Their service remained exactly the same as the beginning, even staff are changed. Gin with fine tonic was softly crispy at toungue. Outside, the courtyard is empty by rain, unable to hang out there with time and delicious food.

Loved this heritage location. The conservation has been done splendid and they have mixed the old property with newer lights and vibes really well. The food is very tasty Thai fair with a lot of seafood on the menu. Recommend walking around the courtyard as well as it really adds to the glamour. The staff are attentive and friendly.

I came here for dinner and was here for several hours. The staff was incredible and I went with their recommendations for appetizer, meal and dessert and they didn’t mislead me at all and everything was impeccable! They were prompt with everything and took good care of me. Even made a friend here who joined me and he had a great experience and the waitress knew a great place to recommend us for music after and she was correct on that recommendation also! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening here and after at Portal where she recommended that we go which you can walk to from here! Excellent service, ambience, environment, food, drinks and everything!

Want to dine in a beautiful historic mansion on your trip to Bangkok? Then you must visit this stunning restaurant. And apart from just being a beautiful venue, the food is also stunning. Loved in particular the pad kra Pao and Thai style steak. Pricing wise also surprisingly ok for the location. Highly recommended

Every dish is a meticulous work of art. The chefs are of top level. Their baked cabbage was so memorable! The prices are at European level. The inner courtyard is very pleasant with the view up Mahanakhon building, where modernity meets history. I heard there are jazz evenings and VIP parties in the rooms where diplomatic negotiations took place in the 90s. This building has a certain place in my heart, as I used to live in the Russian embassy housed here 30 years ago.

My friend and I had an absolutely wonderful dinner here. We were seated on the terrace in the back and had a great view of the entire yard. There was live music and on a Thursday around 7pm it wasn't too busy. The staff was very polite and charming, giving recommendations and providing me with a vegetarian menu. Everything we ordered was amazing, including the little amuse bouche and our alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. I recommend you go and have a look at the entire restaurant, including the inside bar and upstairs rooms that are open to the public. Next time I definitely want to try the famous afternoon tea.

Perfection! This place is amazing 😆 From the entrance, to the seat you will experience a change of scenery inside Bangkok. Service is quality, food is quality, scenery is quality.

Marco the manager is one of the best & very talented leader who just launched a new cocktail menu for house of sathorn, which is wonderful! Team is amazing, Didi is very accommodating and the place is charming! Must to visit & don’t forget to get the twist of Paloma - cocktail from the new menu!

Probably more catered to the foreigners, but refinement of rudimentary #thai cuisine can be utterly enjoyable. And another plus point, they offer around 6 vegetarian and vegan menu. First this #gaengkeowwan or widely known as Thai #greencurry is quite nice. It's bit like valoute for me. They don't cook veggies together with green curry sauce but top on top of it. Very silky and creamy. The rice was really a lot and very fragrant. Their Thai Pomelo salad, I don't recommend, it's too salty. I can tell they try to compensate fish sauce by adding more salt. But it was really too salty. For non-vegetarian, they offer lunch set menu. Apparently this thai fish red curry is really enjoyable. Even the crab salad is one of their highly recommended dishes. Refreshing. The building itself is historical, a former embassy of USSR, the whole building structure was done by Italians. Really beautiful and elegant place to enjoy. You shouldn't miss the bar!

A relaxing afternoon in the middle of Bangkok. They have both indoor and outdoor areas. The indoor location is a luxury dark ambiance bar type which is good while the outside area has a tropical setting covered by greenery. Very relaxing and perfect for a lazy afternoon tea or business meeting. Great customer service. Ordered a set of THB 1,600 and their pastry actually tasted amazing, unlike other places which are only for decoration. Cut one star because the outside is being set up for an event and they should have informed me when making the booking so that I would change it to indoor.

Nice colonial architecture, used to be Russian embassy. Chose to hang out at the outdoor area having some cocktails. Very chill vibes and service was impeccable. The cocktails were good, but abit too much vermouth in my negroni and boulevardier for my liking. Price point is ok for the place.

The staff super helpful! They’re very nice, answer all the questions. I took the afternoon tea reservations, they sent us the email to make sure the food and everything already ok. We giving the restrictions to not giving us the non-halal food, and they change into halal food. The desserts really great! I booked the package at Klook app, and I really want to go again, the building so heritage

Hotel-priced creative Thai food in a beautiful colonial ex-Embassy style housing. Beautiful setting, great service, huge portions though I would say food quality and taste sits in the okay-but-not-spectacular category. Ordered somtum grilled squid (squid was nice, somtum was sweet), soft shelled crab mango salad, cabbage, Chuchii river prawn, crab curry, crab springroll (weird). Desserts were better, the chocolate orange choux wa mostly chocolate and drowning in sauce with more sauce 😋, Thai tea tiramisu was the right amount of sweet, waffles were huge but like a giant fruity cannoli (all this skewed my sugar levels for sure), nice extensive TWG teas.

I had the opportunity to have dinner here on my first night of my first time in Bangkok and I couldn't have started my vacation better. Both dinner at Paii and cocktails at The Bar were spectacular. And we must also highlight the incredible treatment of the staff.

I had a wonderful dinner. The food was very good and was well presented. The atmosphere was so nice, both inside and outside. And the service was impeccable. I originally booked a table inside, but asked to change to outside after seeing how nice it was. The staff were very accommodating and I was moved immediately. A very enjoyable experience. I will be returning when I visit Thailand in the future. I highly recommend this restaurant!!

Was pretty hungry and forgot to take many photos, but the dish you see (Pad Kee Mao) had a generous serving of seafood and noodles. So much so that I ordered it again 2 days later on a second visit Don't pass on this one!

Lovely place to eat and couldn't really fault until the end. Billing was a mess, took 40 minutes to leave - 4 cards over 3 international banks (visa and Mastercard) that have worked everywhere not accepted. Leaving my guests for some time at the end, late at night and last to leave, I had to find ATM to return and settle the bill in cash.

A step taken to elevate traditional Thai food. Beautiful presentation. Big flavour. Had a very good experience here in the garden setting behind the old embassy building.

The recommended beautiful Thai architectural space for wedding ceremony. With classic modern decoration indeed high ceiling. The private garden outdoor courtyard is beautiful for both day and night wedding. Photo credit: Wedding decoration by CheersCouple

The best Thai restaurant in a hotel in Bangkok. They are the only restaurant that has the Jean Paul Oysters. The best anywhere in the world and their River Prawn is magnificent. The Panama cotta desert is also quite good, as is their crouching tiger steak.

Paii Restaurant is located in the W bangkok hotel. The building is a contemporary old building. The first meal is served at night, serving crackers, dipped in seafood sauce. Good appetizer: Tom Yum Goong (very big bowl, can eat 3-4 people) Grilled Crying Tiger (soft, great taste) Stir-fried scallops with xo sauce (strong flavor, fresh scallop), Baked cabbage with fish sauce (dish This is strange, I have never eaten anywhere. Very delicious) Tiramisu, Thai tea, delicious, sweet, oily, staff at the shop are very good service. Advise that the food ordered may be too much (The restaurant serves large dishes) and gives suggestions for food tastes. Makes you decide what to eat If there is a chance, definitely have to go back to use the service

Afternoon tea set is very wonderful. Delicious and fantastic display. Very interesting tea blend that originated here like ‘green garden tea’ and some SWG tea. They are some mocktail for refreshing. In door area is clam with classic style in the Courtyard and out door area is very friendly with beautiful view.

👍👍 We love the curry crab! But!! It comes too late.........when it comes, we are all already half full... that's why the service is not 5 star. But it's still recommended! Just make sure that your crab is coming as soon as the other dishes!
