The worst restaurant I've been to in all of Thailand. Cost the same as a fancy restaurant but the quality is far worst than a 50 baht street stall. Rotten prawns, even the vegetables tasted off - I'm already preparing for the projectile vomiting tonight. Even tried to short-change us on top of the extortionate bill. I'd rather eat sewage from the khlong than this place, in all honesty that's probably where the food comes from.

Very disappointed! I arrived there at 1 pm., everything is in the foam boxes & plastic containers . My husband and I ordered Pad thai prawns and Mung bean salad. My food was not just cool but having hair in Pad Thai. Of course, I discarded the prawn. Nothing taste nice.. My husband ended up with diarrhea. I won’r recommend for anyone.

if you are coming here for the world famous Mi Krop, THINK AGAIN. The original Lady owner passed 4 years ago, and Mi Krop is no longer on the menu here. The current owner insisted that her Pad Thai was authentic and not American Hippy style. We foolishly agreed to get 2 orders, and received one of the most American Hippy - non Thai meals I have experienced in my lifetime. Also the portion was just right for a small child, but quite miniscule and at 80 Bhat per plate, quite heavily overpriced for me. Is there any Thai food left in Thailand? Owners were extremely nice, but why insist that you can make realThai food when you cannot?

:( 80 baht for a disappointing pad Thai. The shrimps were big and the flavour of the dish was ok, but I can make this at home far away from Thailand. Didn't taste much better than a street vendor but had a better look and three shrimps. However the presentation was nice and the restaurant has a charm to it. The two who served us were very nice and welcoming so its not a nice feeling to rate so low. I'm sorry.

Ugh I had no idea you could ever get such a pad pad Thai and curry in Thailand. Overpriced, rude, and tastes bad. Please don't make our mistake and don't eat here.

Food didn't seem fresh or good quality. Perhaps these guys have fallen victim to their own popularity, the staff don't appear to be invested in the customer service. I wouldn't visit again.

2012-10-04, very poor condition without air condition. I went there for dinner but few people there. I like the Prawns with price of 200B, but the fried Salted beef is very poor, so that I left for the dog. Extra rice for 20B.

not bad. but there's a reason mostly locals eat here. when i went, seemed to be more tourists (including myself) looking for that authentic local experience

A recent lunchtime visit showed standards have collapsed. The great reviews are still on the walls and most visitors were clutching copies of Lonely Planet, but the kitchen has changed. Crab and prawns weren't fresh. Bean sprouts were turning brown. Curry tasted of tinned coconut milk. All had been deep-fried in a tasteless panko-style batter. Dressings were unbalanced. Salads were plates of separate ingredients; duck tough but not crispy, mee grob had one prawn, a lot of dry but not browned pork with no taste of marinade, no tofu and no tamarind in the dressing. Knife-work was crude with thick slices of large white onions rather than finely-sliced small Thai onions. Tea is off the menu; drinks are water coke or Chang beer. Service remains surly and prices are cheap but what was once one of my all-time favourite Thai restaurants is no longer worth visiting - from four stars to two. My 4-star review from four years ago: Excellent Northern Thai food, in a simple setting - wooden stools and tables, closely packed in a small shophouse. The quality of the food can depend on who's cooking, and service is variable - sometimes fine, other times moody - but I've had some great suggestions for dishes - banana blossom salad is a speciality, also mee grob (crispy noodles with prawns) - and many memorable meals. Prices are reasonable. This is one of my favourite Bangkok restaurants.

Once a pretty good Thai eatery, but sadly the food is not what it once was. Too much sugar in many dishes to start with, even for central Thai food. Clientele is mostly farangs, rare to see a Thai eating here other than the occasional Thai tour guide with clients. Most are following a New York Times article published 20 years ago praising the place at the recommendation of the late Bob Halliday. He would turn over in his grave at what's become of Chotechitr.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Undoubtedly the best Pad Thai. This beats all the others. A note of caution - since November 2021 they open for TAKE AWAY ONLY between 10am and 5pm. Get there early, we arrived not knowing this at 4:10pm and the queue was already forming. Excellent attentive and helpful staff tend to every need. The...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ We waited for 3hrs after arriving at 9:30am, and finally eat our food at 12:30. I suggest to arrive before the shop opens, maybe around 8-8:30am. The omelette is not too flavorsome, just full of crab. The fried fried rice noodle is shockingly good, the texture of the noodle itself is super stretchy,...
