Today I'm going to the lowest rated restaurant and leaving a positive review. The only rule is that I can't lie. At first glance, this place looks awesome. I came there with my girlfriend, and we ordered mango sticky rice, pineapple with shrimps and 2 drinks: iced latte and mango juice. Right when I thought 5 stars was out of the picture and this place is just okay, I saw a real CROCODILE in the canal! It was cool though, he was just swimming peacefully in the water to his destination. You can see Thai people houses from the open space where you sit and eat, it’s a vibe. The service is good 👍🏿 Mango sticky rice is a little too sweet, but definitely great option for a dessert. Portions are big. We came there during the lunch time, anyway I suppose evenings are more cool there. If I lived in the area, definitely would visit it again some time. Sad that some people had bad experience there but I am definitely not the one who’s gonna put a bad review to this spot.

I don't understand the good reviews here. AVOID this tourist trap. We ordered fried noodles and Pad Thai. They delivered the Pad Thai and called it fried noodles, when they released their mistake they SWAPPED THE HALF EATEN DISHES around. Even the price was 150 baht, which is overpriced in this area. You can easily find a good Pad Thai in a good restaurant for only 80 baht. I highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

I had 2 coffee and green curry. Coffee is a fresh hot coffee ☕️ great taste, not Nescafe! Green curry was also tasty and fresh prepared Not the cheapest food, but ok at the river AND quality! No service fee charged Staff was very friendly and helpful

Loved the food and the atmosphere. Great food and close to the Chillax Hotel where I stayed. I stopped here for breakfast each day of the weekend that I spent in Bangkok. If you sit on the canal you're basically sitting in the ally so don't expect privacy and both days that I stopped here there was an adorable little dog wandering about the tables that I really wanted to take home with me, not begging or bothering anyone, just hanging out. The food was fantastic, I didn't think that it was expensive, but I may not have been paying much attention to that. A great way to start the day.

Obligatory: I did not end up eating here. We walked in to staff that did not smile, eventhough we did. We sat down and looked at the menu which showed some high prices, much higher than we were used to in the Thai cafés. So we decided to move on, having the feeling that we were being overcharged. And what do you know, when we walked out the person that invited us in came running after us with another menu with the price halfed. Telling us that we accidentally were handed the wrong menu, but that the menu that he was showing now was the 5-people menu. Needless to say we didn't go back in there and looked for a place that we thought was asking a fair price.

Good food, a little bit more expensive than other restaurants located in the same street. When sitting at the canal, you can watch catfishs and other animals.

Ordered salmon steak. Price was 450 baht which is high for around here, but okay, I was craving it so ordered it anyway. They served the smallest piece of salmon I've ever experienced in my whole life! Wish I had taken a photo to show it. Anyway, I'd like to warn against this place.

Unfortunately we read the reviews after ‘amazing tuk-tuk tour’ got us here and we ordered food. Worst food we have tasted during our 2 week stay here, rip-off.

Don't really get the bad rating, I guess they changed a lot lately? Of course street food is cheaper, but this is a restaurant, we got good portions and really enjoyed the green curry.

This was the worst meal we had in Bangkok. Our tuk tuk driver dropped us off here after we asked for a good Thai food restaurant. It was horrible. Food had no flavor and was over charged. When we got the bill we had to pay about 15% extra? We were very disappointed. We do not recommend going there.

Guys, stop paying or at least don't pay the full amount. I didn't wait for the bill, I went to the counter paid 80 instead of 180 cause it was barely worthed 80 bath and told them it was not what I asked for. It was superspicy although I asked not spicy. It came in two minutes, so definitely not freshly cooked. It was supposed to be roasted duck but it was cooked and very little

Rip off, they served alcohol on Buddhist day & be warned they charge 20% service charge on all food and drinks. The alcohol we were served was of poor quality and left us feeling ill after one cocktail. Food was ok but prices were extortionate. I came here in Aug 2013 when it first opened and it was a good establishment with reasonable prices. Now it is just a tourist trap, possibly new owners.

50THB for a small bottle of water 150THB for a dry chicken (with garlic and pepper) Honestly the worst restaurant I had in my one month journey in Thaïland. Do not go there, even if you're starving

I don't get the horrible reviews, really. I stumbled upon it today while looking for a place to try Massaman curry and they had it so I stayed. I also ordered a milkshake and they served everything in less than 15 minutes. The food was great (they even shaped the rice in a heart). The atmosphere of this place is amazing, the street is quiet, there are lights everywhere, you get a pretty canal view and they also had a guitar player singing and playing nice songs. The staff was also really polite and smiley. A bit pricey, but in my experience it's not that different from any other tourist place in Bangkok. You can go to a cheap Thai cafe, but it won't have a good view and such a nicely arranged place. Totally recommend 👍

I am surprised to see some of the bad reviews here. I got the Pad Thai one time, and I got a Western style fried chicken sandwich the second time. Both were excellent. The host is a super friendly guy and speaks good English, and you are overlooking the canal. It's hot outside and kind of humid, but welcome to Bangkok.

Came for a couple drinks at the end of the night. Friendly staff. Nice location to watch the fish in the canal. They had a 3 for 1 happy hour on cocktails. Didn't notice any "service charge" as mentioned in other reviews.

Run away from this place! Horrible cocktails, not any of them were the taste that they should be. The first round there was no alcohol to be found in the drinks...we thought it was a mistake but it was not. Like they want to fool you. Because of the happy hour deal. One of the staff can speak English but the other needed to ask every time. It's okay if someone isn't great at English but come on you can at least try a little bit for your costumers. The food was expensive and not good at all. One of us got a bad stomachache after diner. The beef steak is just a flat piece of meat. The chicken with cashew nuts came without the cashews. Really you can eat so much better and cheaper everywhere else. Avoid this restaurant.

I hope you read this before you go. Wish we had done that. Brought there by tuktuk, he said I bring you to good Thai food. Well, don't waist your money. It was very overpriced and the food was not good at all.

The staff were all friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious. You can sit by the street, inside or alongside the canal.

Oh dear. Just read the reviews after I ordered my beer. The prices are on the high end for Banglamphu for sure. On the other hand it is a very nice spot on the canal to have a sundowner and my favourite 200m closer to the river is closed today.
