Cool place. I am very glad that Thailand has such a respectful attitude towards its rich culture. The entire territory of the temple looks very beautiful and well-kept. The skill and imagination of the sculptors amazes me. The entrance ticket costs 100 baht, and also at the entrance, all visitors are given a bottle of water along with the ticket. You can also get to the other side of the river by boat for just 5 baht. I recommend to try to see the beauty of the temple when you cross the river by boat.

The temple is famous for its beauty. We bought a ferry ticket to cross the river to reach the temple which was a very interesting thing to do. From the ferry, I had a very clear view of the prang which was super unique. I bought the ticket at the entrance. They stamped on my arm and gave me a bottle of water. It was a surprise for me when they gave me a bottle of water. We entered the main temple first. The temple and the prang area were full of people trying to take photos and many of them had private photographers for themselves. Many of them hired traditional Thai clothes and they looked beautiful there. It was quiet inside the main temple in the area where people pray and I enjoyed that part the most. Outside when we wanted to take pictures, we had to wait until people finished and we had a place to stand. It took me about 20-25 mins to visit the whole place and I left quickly because there were too many people there.

Wat Arun is a really beautiful temple that's located right on the river. The temple is really old and has a lot of history, so it's definitely worth a visit if you're interested in learning about Thai culture. And the best part is that the temple is really peaceful, so you can take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. The temple is really unique because it's covered in colorful tiles and seashells. And if you're feeling adventurous, you can climb to the top of the temple for some amazing views of the city. It's definitely a great place to go if you're looking for some beautiful scenery. And if you're interested in photography, you'll definitely appreciate the temple's unique design. Overall, I'd definitely recommend checking out Wat Arun if you're in Bangkok. It's a really great way to learn about Thai culture and enjoy some beautiful scenery.

It's definitely a highlight for most visitors. The temples are huge with intricate designs and guests can go up the balconies of the temple to get a view of the vastness of this place. I saw some monks also probably visitors too. Many tourists take advantage of the shops to rent traditional Thai costumes. It might be a unforgettable for visitors.

You should get here by the 5 bath ferry and enjoy the city view on the river. The entrance fee is cheap, only 50 bath with a small bottled water which is a nice touch. Many spots to take picture and you can rent some traditional dress to take some Thai-like poses here. I went on a Tuesday so it's not so bustling.

Wat Arun is a must see when in Bangkok. 100 baht entrance fee for foreigners Thais are free. Many hire shops just outside of temple if you want to wear traditional Thai dress, male and female. Temple is amazing with old architecture dating back well over 350 years. Spent quite a few hours just walking around and admiring the beauty of the temple. Gardens are also immaculately maintained.

The temple is most beautiful when it is raining, and I spent a good deal of time wandering around and taking in its splendor. The gardens are also kept in pristine condition. Wat Arun is a wonderfully stunning temple that is situated directly on the river; I wish there was some kind of guide to explain the location, its history, and its significance. If you're interested in learning about Thai culture, the temple is well worth a visit because it's quite old and has a lot of history. The temple is incredibly distinctive since it is covered in multicolored tiles and seashells, and the greatest thing is that it is extremely serene. You can ascend to the temple's summit for some breathtaking city views.

Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is a temple that you should not miss. However, I am giving it only a three-star. Pros: Wat Arun boasts a striking and iconic structure, best appreciated from the boat as you cross the river. The temple's exterior is adorned with vibrant porcelain tiles and seashells, forming a captivating mosaic that glimmers in the sunlight. The central prang (tower), surrounded by four smaller prangs, stands tall and invites visitors to climb its steep stairs for panoramic views of the river and city. After you purchased a ticket, they stamp your wrist and give you a complimentary bottle of water, a thoughtful touch that sets Wat Arun apart from other famous sites in Bangkok.. You can also borrow traditional Thai clothes and even hire a professional photographer to help you get the best pics once in Wat Arun. Cons: This site is pretty small and it becomes way too crowded once most of the visitors have photographers taking photos for them. It is difficult to enjoy the place if you are constantly reminded by others “not to block the photographer”. One improvement could be providing more detailed explanations about the temple beyond its physical structure. This would enhance visitors' understanding of the historical and cultural significance of the site. For those who are not going to hire a photographer, 30-35 minutes may suffice to explore Wat Arun. Despite the drawbacks, the temple's stunning architecture, the unique mosaic, and the opportunity for panoramic views make it a worthwhile visit. Consider visiting during less crowded times to fully appreciate its beauty and historical value.

This temple is the highlight of Bangkok and maybe Thailand, and rightly so. The site is compact, so during busy tourist hours, it gets very crowded. Better visit early in the morning or just right before sunset as the air is more chill. There aren’t any roof so if it gets rained, then… oh well. I wish there are more stories about the temple other than just a paragraph or two posted outside the temple.

Wat Arun Temple in Bangkok is undeniably stunning with its intricate architecture and rich cultural significance. However, the overwhelming crowds can diminish the overall experience, making it challenging to fully appreciate the serene beauty of this historical site. Consider visiting during off-peak hours for a more tranquil visit.

One of the most iconic temple in Bangkok. It is a very beautiful and spectacular temple. It is best taken pictures during sun rise or sun set. It is very well maintained cleanliness. This temple can get very touristy as it is very photogenic temple. So ensure to get there early to avoid the crowds. At the entry of the main temple there are many tourist dresses in traditional Thai dress, so at time it get difficult to take pictures on the lawn of the temple.

This is one of the must-see temples in Bangkok. It’s very well kept and there are events held in the evening on the temple grounds. There are a few shops selling traditional Thai dresses for women and there are several boat docks that can take passengers to the other side of the river for a cheap price. The temple itself is beautiful and you can ascend the main central spire to get a good look at the Buddha relics within and the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend checking this place out on your trip to Bangkok.

Most iconic temple in Bangkok, a must visit if you are there. Spectacular at sunrise and sunset (also that would be best to avoid the crowds, as it is a very instagrammable place and a lot of people come here to take pictures in fancy costumes). Entrance fee is 100 baht, which includes a bottle of water. You can cross the canal by taking a ferry opposite the temple which costs 5 baht and usually leaves once every 10-15 minutes. Be careful not to miss the last one if you are going at sunset. Don’t forget to visit the adjacent two temples in the back of Wat Arun, they are also gorgeous, and take a stroll in the gardens surrounding the temple, which are exceptionally well kept.

Very beautiful temple. Entrance fee is 100b, they give you a small bottle of water when you enter. You cannot go all the way to the top, but it is still very impressive. You can rent the special dresses for both females and males here to make pictures, like many of the people here do. You will not spend more than an hour here, but it is worth a visit. I wish there was some kind of a guide to tell you about the place, it’s history and meaning, but either there were no option or I did not find them.

The view is breathtaking. Recommend you to come in the early morning or after 3-4 pm. Because it is too hot from 10 am. You can enjoy the beautiful details of the temples here as well as take some memories and photos with Thai traditional customs rented from stores nearby. Price: 100bath/ person but they have noticed that the price will be raised to 200bath in March. Free one bottle of water for one ticket. Have to come here by boat. 30bath/ person.

A Canadian Review: Along with Emerald Buddha and Wat Pho, Wat Arun is the 3rd of the 3 temples you will visit on the same day. 4 THB per person per ferry ride (located next to the rest room), and then 100 THB per ticket to go into the temple (not 50 like Google states). A very beautiful temple in the late afternoon. Not as many tourists make it here as it's usually the final temple on your itinerary for the day. Very steep steps, but very tall pagodas. Arguably the most beautiful one. Not as much gold leaf design here. It's the most fun to take pictures due to the sheer size of the pagodas. It's definitely the quietest and most relaxed vibe here.

As a photographer, I get really excited when I enter a place that is full of beautiful structures and different colors. Especially when I realize that it is one of the most important places in the city and has a part of the history of that city. Do not forget this wonderful place when traveling to the beautiful city of Bangkok. fantastic.

Words can't describe this majestic structure. Breathtaking architecture all around you. Difficult not to gape in awe. Absolutely on the Bangkok must visit lists. Easily reached by boat. 100 baht fee which goes to maintenance. I suggest combining with Wat Pho on the opposite side of the river. Go here!

Awesome giant in this temple. There is a tale talking about giant from this temple’s fighting with giant from Wat Pho. Giant from another temple is a lot smaller than this temple. The giants here are gigantic, very fine art work. This temple look more white and decorated with tiles. You can climb up the building to get higher view point. There are many Chinese statues in this place. You can take a both to cross from Wat Pho to Wat Arun. I recommend to taking a boat trip during evening. It is so beautiful to see this place during sun set.

Wat Arun is a very beautiful temple in the heart of Bangkok. You can reach the temple easily and cheaply by boat. Tourists pay a small entrance fee, but that is perfectly okay. The grounds are very well maintained and clean. It really is one of the most beautiful places in Bangkok.

For me this is a see when traveling to Bangkok. It is my personal favorite temple. The craftsmanship and location is great. A simple boat ride (orange line - 16 bahts) to the temple is all it takes. Remember to dress appropriately when visiting any Thai temple, women must not expose their shoulder for example. The entrance fee is 100 Thai bahts. Also if you have time go during the sunset or at least view the temple at night from across the river. The view is stunning.

Incredible architecture. The temples were well maintained and so rich in history. I think they did a great job with ensuring that the temple remains a place of worship for locals yet a place for tourists to experience and learn about their religion, culture and history. Guides are available (might be at a cost). Tickets were 100 baht each. Tips for visitors, 1. Bring a hat or umbrella - it's really sunny 2. Follow temple rules on proper attire - If you need a long skirt or shawl for covering up, you can borrow one from the temple. 3. Wear easy to slip on and off shoes - you'll be required to take off your footwear to enter the temples 4. At the exit, you can take a boat across the river to visit another famous temple.

A nice temple to see. There are some vendors inside that sell souvenirs. It is right next to the pier by the river where you can arrive and leave to other places from. Ticket is 100b and includes a free bottle of water. You should be done within an hour including taking pictures.

(Translated by Google) It's beautiful from the opposite bank, and it's beautiful even if you go near it. Although there are many ferry boats, I still wait quite a while. In the store that sells souvenirs and drinks, waiting is very persistent for foreigners and they will sell things The stairs of the tower are quite steep, which can be quite painful for those who are not good at high places. There are many cups that leave a woman on top of the tower and take pictures from below. Busy to take Bose I wasn't looking around, so it was very disturbing (Original)

We arrived a few minutes before opening time to avoid the crowds and heat. Staff were friendly and issued us tickets at 100 baht each accompanied by a 100 ml mineral water bottle. The temple complex is beautiful and the grounds well-kept and clean. There are vendors selling goods all around, and we had delicious coconut ice cream to cool off. Great experience. This Buddhist temple boasts intricate decorations made from colorful porcelain fragments, creating a stunning exhibition of grandeur and beauty. To enter, visitors can purchase tickets for 100 THB, which also includes a complimentary water bottle to stay hydrated during your visit. It is important to note that the temple has a dress code, requiring visitors to cover their shoulders and legs. However, comfortable footwear like sandals or flip flops are allowed. Some tourists choose to embrace the experience fully by renting traditional outfits, adding an extra touch of authenticity to their visit and creating wonderful photo opportunities. As you explore the temple grounds, you'll come across a group of souvenir shops offering various trinkets and keepsakes. Keep in mind that prices in these shops may cater to tourists, so it's always a good idea to compare prices and exercise caution. Additionally, be mindful of your belongings to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, as crowded tourist areas can sometimes attract pickpockets.

A very peaceful place and less crowd. If you visit early morning the environment is best for good photos as there is less people and even the sun is not strong. In the noon the sun is too hot. Anyhow the place is compared to grand palace is less crowded and is worth a visit if you are in Bangkok. You can take a ferry ride to get in to the temple and is super convenient and cheap. A ticket will cost 100 B pp and you can buy at the entrance ticket office without any additional charges for third party apps.

Magnificent place. Seen it many times in pictures, can’t compare to the actual live experience. Really beautiful super recommended. It’s 100 baht as I’m foreigner, free if you Thai. Was about to wear tracksuit but lady at entrance told me it’s fine I could wear my shorts as not too short. If not they have Thai pants for you to borrow and you can just leave an offer.

(Translated by Google) Wat Arun is one of the oldest temples in Bangkok (Thailand), whose Vietnamese name is "Binh Minh". Located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, the temple stands out for its unique architecture with ceramic mosaic towers on the roof and pedestals. These details make the temple more splendid under the sun. Here, visitors often climb to the highest tower located in the center of the temple to see panoramic views of the Chao Phraya River, Royal Palace and Wat Pho Temple. With its unique architecture, the temple is the place to inspire the creation of unique works by many photographers.

The last time we visited, I willingly donated around 1,000 baht and bought from vendors without being pressured, It’s nice to have this choice. Security have since expanded their territory. To enter the whole area including the neighbouring temple and greenery it costs 100 Baht from anyone not Thai. Thai people like my wife and baby can get in for free.

Recently renovated and in pristine condition. Wat Arun was recently restored and looks better than ever. Unfortunately you can no longer go far up the structure, but this is understandable bearing in mind the increase in visitors. Best approached from the river. An iconic building that should not be missed. There are many other buildings behind Wat Arun that many visitors miss.

One of the most beautiful temples you'll ever visit. Standing at the bottom of the temples and looking up is unforgettable and totally breathe-taking! If you're visiting Bangkok, Wat Arun should be on your "must see" list!

Very nice little temple. Suitable for starting a temple tour with Wat Arun, Wat Pho and a final visit to the Grand Palace. Ferry crossing is a must. Start as early as possible because of the heat and many visitors.

The best landmark in thailand by far, entry fee is 100baht expect to stay here for at least 2 to 3 hours if you want to see everything, when you're done make sure to stop at the souvenir shop and grab something, everything there is absurdly cheap, like 100 baht tshirts or beautiful souvenirs.

Wat Arun is a jewel of the architecture so characteristic of Thailand. The temple, according to the luminosity, to appear white and all in embroidery with the many details which decorate it. It's rather extended and it's necessary to think of going on the right of the temple when one is in front of it, there are splendid Buddhas to be discovered and other temples in the complex. I strongly advise to go there early in the morning because it's quickly taken by many instagrammers who spend hours to be taken in pictures at the same place, making then the taking of picture of the temple complicated !

Located across the river from the Royal Palace this unique tile covered temple is one of the most unique in Thailand. Its kind of a hassle to get there, and to get back across the river, but it is worth it. I would see this temple first, before visiting any other temples in Bangkok.

Absolutely blessed to be able to come here this trip. It was under renovation during our previous trip. We came by taking a nice long walk to the temple and left via boat. The staffs at the pier are very polite and helpful to guide tourists to the right boats. The temple is breathtakingly beautiful. It’s serene and peaceful for prayers. Would be respectful if more tourists could understand that this is a holy place and not primarily intended for instagram poses. The temple store carries some amulets while some pre-orders are opened for upcoming temple event. Gorgeous outdoor garden and river view.

The temple is located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River and has a beautiful view. You can get there by local water transport. Entry to the territory costs 100 baht, tourists are provided with clothing (if you do not have the appropriate dress code) and a free bottle of water. The main temple (very impressive!) is located on the territory, as well as a small park, a cafe, and several other temples with free admission. There is a very calm and peaceful atmosphere here. Many people come in national costumes for a photo shoot. Overall, I strongly recommend visiting it if you are in Bangkok. It is a truly unique and unforgettable place.

Absolutely beautiful temple. There is detail on every part all the way up which was a sight to behold. We really enjoyed walking round and taking it all in. Well worth a visit! I arrived wearing shorts as we didn't first plan on visiting but they provided fabrics for free for while you were on the grounds. Food and drink available on site.

The view was so beautiful, good service, and the ticket was affordable (100 baht). We could rent their traditional costume cost only 200 baht. If you plan to visit this temple now, I recommend you go here in the morning because the temperature is scorching. You don't need to bring a water bottle because they will give it to you once you buy your ticket. Enjoy!

Wat Arun is an amazing temple to visit. This impressive Buddhist temple is one of the oldest monuments in Bangkok. First you must take a boat to go thorugh the river, but it's worthy. Closer the temple you are, the more astonishing feelings you have. With the ticket you also get 1 bottle of mineral water. During our visit we saw many people with traditional clothes what adds additional "wow effect". This is a must visit place.

This place stands out as a must-see for most visitors. The towering temples, adorned with intricate details, leave you in awe. You can even climb to the balconies for breathtaking panoramic views of the vast complex. I even spotted some monks, possibly visitors themselves, exploring the grounds. Many tourists choose to enhance their experience by renting traditional Thai costumes from nearby shops, creating truly unforgettable memories.

If you are to see a Thai masterpiece of architecture in Bangkok, this is a must. What we call Thai is truly the combination of Indian, Chinese, Khmer, Malay, etc. It’s mesmerizing because of how we mend them together. What I want to do is to suggest you to learn beforehand the history of Wat Arun, for example why it is shaped like this, why there is a Chinese sculpture dotting around the place. There is a lot more to see apart of what’s charming in front. I recommend you to come from the Phra Nakorn side. Try to drop by at MRT Sanam Chai instead of MRT Issaraphap so you can take a ferry to see the real life of Bangkok, the Chao Phraya. You sure need to walk a bit but the landscape around is just stunning. You’ll see the Grand Palace, where the picture of Bangkok is always captured here. WALK TO THA TIEN AND TAKE ONLY A LOCAL FERRY. (It is the best as it costs just 4 baht or roughly 10-15 cents.)

It is the largest Mahayana stupa in Thailand, so it enjoys the reputation of "Thailand Eiffel Tower". Located in Thonburi District on the west bank of Chao Phraya River, a tributary of Chao Phraya River. The Ayutthaya dynasty was founded in Thailand. After Zheng Zhao moved his capital here to establish the Thonburi dynasty, Thonburi district also flourished. The temple was completed in 1809 and was rebuilt in 1847. It is the greatest creation and the most brilliant cultural heritage left by King Mengku during the Ayutthaya period, which makes Wat Arun the oldest building on the Chao Phraya River and the most visited temple (the Temple of Dawn is open daily) . The main tower of Wat Arun is 82 meters high. This main tower is a famous building in Thailand, carved on the back of a 10 baht coin. Both the base and the tower body have a square surface with many layers, and the area decreases gradually. There is a companion tower around each, with different colors, magnificent and gorgeous, several times shorter than the main tower. Many colored broken ceramics are spread on the tower. A huge picture is painted on the foundation of the pagoda. Make sure to negotiate with the driver for a half day trip around Bangkok--that would be the best bang for your buck. (Translated by Google) The symbol of Bangkok, Wat Arun, was once called Wat McCork, and the name was printed on the map at the end of Ayutthaya. When Taksin chased Myanmar troops to Ayutthaya and then went down the Chao Phraya River, it was dawn just in front of this temple, so it became known as Wat Jane, Temple of Dawn, and later Wat Arun, Temple of Dawn. Was done. Initially, there was no current tower, but during the period from Rama II to III, a major restoration of the temple was carried out, and almost all of the current buildings were built at this time, but the two Buddhist temples in front of the tower are old main halls. It is said that it is a Buddhist temple. The only Buddhist statue group that surrounds the temple on the right side below the principal image shows the style of the Ayutthaya dynasty. It is the second body from the front of the main Buddha, and the expression of fine spiral hair and the line between the forehead convey the old style. The statue of King Taksin is also enshrined. King Taksin set up a royal palace on the south side of this temple, between Mori Lokayaram Temple, and the ruins of the royal palace were used even during the Bangkok era and are now being restored and preserved in the naval base. After the fall of Ayutthaya, King Taksin has been revered by the people as the king who ousted the Myanmar army and settled the land again. The main temple of the stupa is the stupa, and the crown Buddha surrounds it, and there are many Buddhist statues in front of it. The stupa is a so-called crown pagoda and is beautifully decorated with glass and gold leaf. Is it still built during the Rama III era? The tower faces the Chao Phraya River almost east. Built between Rama II and III, it has since become a symbol of Bangkok. Chronicles indicate that pottery was cut out as a prominent decoration method of this era. The Great Stupa represents Mt. Meru, and you can see the decorations of Teishakuten, celestial people, Hanuman, and demons on the Erawan elephant, and the plaster sculpture of Kinnara living at the foot of Mt. Meru. The shape of the tower is a corn-shaped tower called Prang, which is derived from the Ayutthaya dynasty, and consists of a central high tower and four surrounding towers. There are small halls on all sides, and Buddhist statues representing the life of Shaka Nyorai are enshrined. The main hall is built on the north side of the tower. Surrounded by a corridor, the front gate is protected by two demons. This Ramakien-derived demon is probably the largest of all the temples. They are two kings, the green Tosakan and the white Sahasadecha. The Buddha statues lined up in the corridor are plastered Buddha. In some cases, the plaster has deteriorated and the surface has collapsed. This deterioration of the internal plaster may have been caused by moisture, or it may have been due to the use of acidic paint instead of plaster as the material for applying gold leaf, or the use of acidic cement in past repairs. It is possible that there was a problem with the repair material because it was placed in a corridor with a roof. Observing the faulty part, the plaster has deteriorated into powder. It is ironic that re-breakdowns due to repairs made in the second half of the 20th century are especially prominent in temples with money. Many stone statues and towers are lined up in the precincts, but these are said to have been piled up on the bottom of a junk ship as ballasts. Similar statues can be seen in Fujian and Cantonese, showing the state of trade during the Rama III era. It is well known that Rama III made a huge fortune by trading with Chinese ships. These statues and ceramics are probably one of the prototypes of a new style called the Rama III style, which makes heavy use of Chinese art styles and motifs. The shrine containing the barrier stones is graceful and decorated with marble. In particular, the gable part seems to be more conscious of the dome-shaped gable of Western neoclassicalism, which is different from the influence of the Thai and Chinese styles so far. It is a unique feature that Chinese lion statues are lined up instead of the small wall surrounding the main hall. The main hall inherits the style of the end of Ayutthaya and has a boat-shaped base, but the roof was rebuilt in the wake of the Rama V fire. The walls are also decorated with peony-patterned pottery, but they were replaced because the pottery ordered from China for decoration did not arrive. By the way, the amount ordered from China finally arrived in the Rama IV era, but since the main hall of Wat Arun had already been completed, it was used instead for the wall decoration of the newly built Prasat Prathep Bidoon in Wat Phra Kaew. I can still see it. The base and window frames are beautifully decorated with gold leaf and glass. The main hall of the main temple is a sitting statue of Rama III style. A crown Buddha is enshrined in front of the temple. This is also a Buddha statue erected by Rama III to memorialize his father, Rama II, and is said to be the same height as Rama II. In the early Bangkok era, the construction of a crown statue was popular to memorialize the royal family, but probably the crown Buddha at the end of Ayutthaya has the same purpose. Due to the influence of Western paintings, the paintings that decorate the walls of the hall depict a deep landscape, and some aristocratic faces became realistic, and it is assumed that there was probably a model, after the fire of the Rama V era. It is believed that it was restored. In addition, there are a Buddhist temple, a bell-shaped pagoda, a Buddha footprint, a beautiful bell tower and a drum tower, and the deepest part is the monastery. The Honorable Pagoda shows the fashion of the 3rd century Rama with the base of the right side, and is accompanied by the decoration of pottery.

I would recommend spending at least an hour visiting the temple. Although it’s known as the Temple of the Dawn, it's absolutely stunning at sunset, particularly when lit up at night. Even so, the quietest time to visit is early morning, before the crowds. Given the beauty of the architecture and the fine craftsmanship, it’s not surprising that Wat Arun is considered by many as one of the most beautiful temples in Thailand. The prang (spire) by the Chao Phraya is one of Bangkok's world-famous landmarks. The imposing spire rises over 70 metres high, beautifully decorated with tiny pieces of coloured glass and Chinese porcelain placed delicately into intricate patterns.

(Translated by Google) Personally, I think it is the most beautiful and the best view among the three nearby temples. There was also an inexpensive entrance fee of 50 baht, and special patterns were painted on most of the temples, creating a mysterious atmosphere. If you don't like crowded and cracked places like Wat Phra Kaew, this morning temple is recommended. Your mind is also relaxed and people aren't crowded more than you think, so it's easy to get around. You can get off at the port in front of the Temple of Dawn by paying 4 baht at the port near Wat Pho Temple. You do not need to purchase a separate ticket and board the ship, but pay 4 baht while entering the port. The boarding fee is cheap, so don't forget to bring a meme. It can be difficult to get change if you pay a large bill. After boarding the boat, get off at the opposite port and buy an admission ticket at the entrance.

This lovely temple is one of the most famous landmarks in Bangkok and definitely worth a visit, preferably in the evening. Entrance has increased to THB 100 per person for 2022. The temple derives its name from the hIndu god  Aruna often personified as the radiations of the rising sun. There is also a lovely little Cafe at the entrance, service great shakes and coffee. There is no student price even though we bring a student card. After paying, we will be given a bottle of drinking water and an unchecked ticket. I personally like this temple because it has a beautiful and charming motif with white domination. When we want to leave this temple, we can use the Ferry. You can ask the staff there where to wait for the ferry to depart.

Absolute stunner and a highlight of Bangkok! After visiting the Grand Palace and stopping for lunch at Thong Heng Lee restaurant (highly recommend) by the river, we took a riverboat (30 bahts) over to Wat Arun. You could definitely walk but it was cool to view the city from the river. Despite the scattering of tourists, it was actually really peaceful with the wind chimes tinkling in the background. Entrance to Wat Arun is 100 bahts per person and even includes a cheeky, much needed little bottle of water. We think it’s best to go around afternoon time as it’s less busy, bit cooler and the sun is less intense plus can catch a pretty epic sunset. 10/10 ⭐️

Hi Wat Arun is a very beautiful buddhist temple. The main temple is very big and tall. The architecture is very interesting and unique! (No explanation look at pic. ). There also a lot of other temples around it and the place is very big with a lot of interesting things. The temple is most beautiful in the night!

An amazing site. Go early and beat the crowds. Have an iced tea half way around. I had a few moments to myself inside the main temple, in between groups of tourists, it was a moment to treasure. So much rich detail all through this amazing site. It's very clear here that there is a strong Chinese influence in this particular site and the cultures meld well together. Not as many crowds as elsewhere. Loved the river crossing before and after. Well worth the effort!

It's a place to visit and find out some of the history of Bangkok. I would advise you to go early in the morning to avoid the crowds but more to avoid the heat. The temple is beautiful, and make sure you visit the grounds as there is a lot to be seen. Would also recomend to see it at night (by river cruise) as its beauty extends when the lights are on. Make sure you are dressed appropriately. If not, you can rent some cover-ups from the tickets hub.

Wat Arun is amazing every time as it was the first time. We use to be able to climb the stairs to the top part of the Phra Prang but seems to be closed off now for obvious safety reasons. It’s one of the busier temples in Bangkok, has food and drinks for sale inside and outside of the temples. In the small halls between the Phra Prang and riverside, you can donate to the temple with the monk there and he will give you a temple bracelet, say some holy incantations for you and empower you with holy water.

The Sun Buddha Temple in Bangkok stands as a remarkable testament to architectural and spiritual splendor. Renowned for its exquisite structures and statues, the temple offers a serene and culturally enriching experience. Visitors are advised to dress respectfully, adhering to the temple's dress code, and an entrance fee of 100 baht per person is required. The optimal visiting time is suggested to be around 4 PM, allowing for a peaceful exploration of the temple's grounds before its closure at 6 PM. This timing also tends to attract fewer crowds, providing a more intimate experience compared to the often bustling Grand Palace. Accessibility is convenient via ferry or taxi, making it a highly recommended destination for those seeking a tranquil yet profound cultural experience in Bangkok.

Initially, we opted for a water taxi to reach the temple, and to our surprise, the place left a remarkable impression. Its architecture stands out as truly extraordinary, situated by the river, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Before entering, local vendors are eager to sell their wares. Being a popular tourist spot, there's an entrance fee, so having local currency on hand is advisable. The temple shows off an array of impressive stupas with thorough details that leave you in awe.
