Costs 400 Baht entry or 550 with a combo ticket through Klook which includes Ancient City 11 km down the road. The location basically explains this attraction. A bit out of the way and hard to find if you don't know where it is. It's basically a pretty garden with religious stuff around the site. There is also a huge statue of a multi headed elephant in the middle which can be entered. It's interesting, but probably not worth a first time Bangkok visit. Going to Ancient City makes a full day out. Note that both locations are not that near public transport and having a transport app on your phone is needed sometimes as you might not see a taxi for a while sometimes.

We have driven past here on our way to or from Bangkok many times and every time I think to myself that one day I will have to stop and see it. Well today was that day! The grounds surrounding the elephant are beautiful and well maintained. The elephant itself is spectacular, it's one thing to see it as you are passing buy but it's quite another to stand beside the massive structure. The interior of the elephant is breathtaking. You can climb the stairs (or take an elevator) right into the belly of the beast, and the sight that you will see there is just as beautiful as everything else here. You have to take your shoes off before entering the base of the elephant. Unlike other places when you exit the bottoms of your feet will not be black, I walked through the whole thing from bottom to top and back again and my feet remained clean! You may have noticed my low score which may seem odd after singing the praises of this place. The reason is simple, Erawan Museum engages in in the discriminatory practice of dual pricing. While a Thai citizen will pay a 250 Baht entry fee, a foreigner will be charged 400 Baht. I find this practice repugnant and I give a lower score whenever I encounter it. If not for the dual pricing I would have rated it a 5.

Nice temple with beautiful gardens and statues, praying areas, and popular with tourists. Definitely a place to go visit. It was not crowded during a weekday. Parking is nearby and they have little shuttle carts between the parking lot and main entrance of the temple.

Nice place to visit a suburb of Bangkok city. Beautiful garden and so huge elephant statue. We could have a relaxing and peaceful time here.

Amazing museum! Must visit in Bangkok. Clean, quiet and not so crowded because of its location. You can find praying sites, majestic statues and a lovely garden with waterfalls, fish and turtles. Dozens of elephant statues and of course huge 3-headed elephant in the center and you can actually climb inside it! The museum itself is very beautiful. Souvenir shops and small restaurants are also available. Totally recommended to visit. They also have shuttles to BTS every hour.

Jan 2024 👍🏻 We went there on Friday afternoon (not too busy). It will take you around 1 hour to explore the indoor museum & open area park. 💡 Please dress properly, no sleeveless attires and above knee-length skirts or pants. Buying ticket on Klook or other online platforms is much cheaper than getting it from the official site!

I went on Sunday, last minute before it closed so there is no one lol. It's easier and cheaper to book a ticket from online, my friend use Klook. It's 550thb, one package with Ancient City. I advised you to go here first and then Ancient City. You can go here by taking BTS to Chang Erawan station and walking distance around 10 minutes (650m). Such an incredible detail and it's so beautiful. The colour, the ornament even the building itself really mesmerized you.

The art style and architecture is unique and very beautiful. The price however is pretty high for what you get, if you are a foreigner.. This is why I only rate it three stars. Don't forget to ask about the audio guide, because they never offer that if you don't ask.

One of the most beautiful temples in Bangkok! Take the spiral staircase or the elevator up and you'll find yourself inside the elephant. No photography allowed though within that area. There is also a museum/exhibition below the temple. The park around the temple has statues of mythical creatures where you can take photos with, as well as elephants that trumpet when you walk underneath them. I highly recommend visiting it!

This place is amazing! You can spend an hour here or more. I got here on taxi. There is parking near by. There's lots of photos opportunity. You get to walk up to the huge 3 headed elephant. Just inside is amazing. Very colorful.

I visited this museum a few times already. Its always impressive and beautiful again. The whole museum and garden is very well maintained. I love to look on the details. For my Thai wife its a very holy place. All information are given in Thai and English language. Usually we spend about 1 1/2 hours there. Tickets for Farangs: 400 Baht

Just an amazing design and build. Great space and an outer and inner that is giving this good impression of culture, religion and design. Walking around the greenery/landscape and the inner of the structure ‘elephant’ and walking up the elephant and to the top Buddha area.... once up need to take a short rest and catching some air

A great experience if you want to learn the Buddha story, they claim that Buddha had 550 recarnations until you reach Nirvana. In this museum you will find 10 of Buddha‘s stories that are related to elephants. Each story includes a different name which is believed that Sidhartha (Buddha‘s earthy name) went through its re-Carnations. A tradition says that you should walk under the elephants outside the temple three times for your wishes to become true and for good luck. In the entrance to the museum on the right side there is a great local restaurant serving good noodle soup

It's worth coming just for the huge elephant seen from as far away as center city. Honestly that (and the intricate work on the stairway to get up into the elephant) is pretty much the only thing to see. The gardens around are a pleasant enough walk with interesting statues. The site is more of a temple than a museum, so dress appropriately, although there are free clothes available for the unprepared. Walking to the entrance is not very pleasant, sure to an isolated and borderline inaccessible location, but it's doable from the BTS, or by car (probably bus too). Overall a great new experience, but at 400 baht way overpriced in comparison to main temples.

One of the most stunningly beautiful museum / place of worship in Thailand. It’s accessible via BTS Erawan station. From there, you can take a free shuttle or bus to get here and it takes around 5 minutes. Not recommended to walk because the overpass is a bit far and it’s close to the traffic junction which is quite perplexing. The main hall is the most stunning with stained glass and the Thai traditional motif decoration. The place also has various Hindu shrines for you to worship your preferred deities such as Ganesh, Trimurti. Highly recommended.

Interesting place to visit. It's a middle way between museum and temple. There is a very nice and quiet garden to walk and the craftsman of the 3-headed elephant inside is really beautiful. At entrance you will be given an audio helping machine to better understand the place cosmology. Ticket is 400 baht for foreigners but showing Thai driving license or work permit you will be given a discount at 250 baht.

Interesting place linked with the Ancient village a short distance away, take the free audio guide it helps. Place is not that large but there's a lot to see, the temple at the top floor inside the elephants body is lovely and odd at the same time, I was intrigued by the piece of string running around the room from statue to statue, I don't know why. Well worth a visit the size of the construction is impressive.

Beautiful place let down by horrible food and beverage. We had coffee at the premises. It was cheap and tasted nasty. Even worse, my boiling hot latte was poured into a thin plastic cup. Obviously, this cafe operator has not been taught that the hot coffee would melt bits of the plastic cup and patrons will be drinking something toxic. I complained about it and asked for a nornal cup. There were some cups drying on a rack by the sink but the operator refused to let me have one. I gave up, took two sips of the coffee, felt some pain on my throat immediately and junked the coffee. 40 baht thrown away for nothing. There is very poor understanding of food safety here. Eat and drink at this place at your own risk

The main building is AMAZING, and the gardens around it are very well kept, but I think the entrance is expensive for what is inside. It is a bit far from the centre area and not much else to fo around, unless you visit the ancient city which is further south, I would maybe plan a quick stop here after the ancient city.

(Translated by Google) Tickets for 400 plants may be expensive, but in fact it is not. The main temple body is superbly crafted. The surrounding environment is well maintained. It is a beautiful place where you can take pictures for a long time. The clothes are not qualified. If I am shorts, next to it. There is a self-service place to borrow aprons for free. Remember to hang them up and put them back after use. It is a good place to spend half a day. However, there will be a lot of people in the main building. It takes great patience and luck to take a good picture. The park is very suitable for walking and taking pictures, but the location is very remote, and it is generally a good day.

Nice museum in shape of a three headed elephant. The exterior as well as the interior are so beautiful. Huge collection of artefacts from floor 1 representing patal Lok, to prithwi to Swarg lok on floor 3. It is quite close to Ancient City which can be combined in a trip. The name Erawan is similar to white elephant Airawat of Indian mythology.

Museum is located inside monument of the elephant with three heads. Interesting idea remind me Salvador Dali :) Worth to visit. Tickets are expensive - 400 thb per person. But you go to tickets aggregator "tickets4attractions" or similar one, there you can be lucky to get it with a good discount. We took with a price 280 thb per person. There is a restaurant area with very reasonable prices on local food.

The place is rather remote, so I would recommend the following route to fully enjoy your day/don't waste your trip down. First, head to Bangna floating market in the morning (it's a local market, not exactly floating, but food and all is amazing). Then head down the erawan museum for the nice pictures and historical reads. Please dress appropriately and remember that there is a 400 baht entrance fee. You can also include another pit stop to ancient city for further sight seeing. If you intend to continue at ancient city, do book from klook for discounts. The museum includes history of their artifacts, the potteries and the discovery of materials. I got to say I love that the head of the elephant is an altar room and is airconditioned.

Stunning temple. A little pricey to enter, but totally worth it. Theres so much details in the architecture and the interior decoration. I love the chamber at the top most level - it was so peaceful and calming. You have to take a lift to the top level. Don't forget to check out the basement level as well, which we weren't aware of until we left the place.

Actually this place is more like a temple to lord Indra and Buddha rather than a museum. It is quite small and you can cover this place within 30 minutes. They have a small museum at the lower level of the temple and a small garden to walk around. Meticulous architecture structure and design, the wall & floor textures and patterns are really complex but all are matching with each other's. This place was absolutely amazing. They have an option to do some offering/prayer ceremonies with the different shrines within the bounds of the museum. There is a little spot for food and drinks and tiny bit of souvenir before entering. Then more souvenirs upon exiting. The statue is absolutely amazing and insanely large. If you love thailand and it's temples, this is a MUST stop.

It’s absolutely gorgeous. Do I even have so say more?! The architecture reminds me from a museum in France. Entry fees was 250 baht and yearly entry was 265 baht (you could come and go any time you wanted throughout the year)

Great place for a victory! Great how the BTS curves around the monument. Illuminated advertising about toothpaste seriously detracts from any historical gravitas - or good night photos!

Very beautiful, walk yourself up to the highest point and you will get to feel a very serene and calming atmosphere. The garden walk circling Erawan is very well managed. Come in the morning and sit along the koi fish pond just to feel the morning breeze, recharge yourself for the day.

The Erawan Museum is such a mystical place. The sacred elephant is really at the forefront with all of the beautiful sculptures throughout this museum. This place feels like a hidden gem, just under 30 minutes outside of Bangkok, Thailand.

It's worth the time and admission price -- this is an epic place, so beautiful and tranquil, and if you get there by 10, 11am it's not that crowded. I went on a Saturday and it was wonderful. Pretty long but easy Skytrain BTS ride with a transfer at Siam. Just GO!

  • 5/5 Mohammed A. 10 months ago on Google
A unique attraction to visit. instagramable and colorful with giant three headed elephant. Inside you’ll find a line of people waiting to take pictures on the stairs. Not far away from downtown, around 20-30 minutes drive. Better to visit when you are going to visit the ancient city.

  • 5/5 Nadya L. 11 months ago on Google
It’s a very beautiful place, I definitely recommend visiting. The territory includes a central temple, at the top of which is a three-headed elephant, and a small park with various mystical sculptures, which is pleasant to walk through. It is definitely worth going inside the temple. To enter, you need to take off your shoes, and inside the temple is clean and incredibly beautiful. Special attention deserves a large winding staircase in the form of a dragon. The walls, altar, and sculptures are created with love for details and the national culture of Thailand. What is most interesting, you can climb to the very top of the temple (in the head of an elephant). The cost of visiting for tourists is 400 baht, and an audio guide in English is included in the ticket. You will need to leave a deposit of 1000 baht and show your passport. The park closes at 6:00 pm, and I recommend planning about 2 hours for the visit.

This place is a must visit for art lovers. The erawan museum is famous for its majestic Three headed elephant statue which consists of a shrine for Buddha collections. The ticket price is 400 tbh for tourists and 250 tbh for work permit residents. The four important pillars inside the elephant structure depict various cultural ethnicities. The food options available are limited yet very delicious. We tried sticky rice with mango and chicken noodles. The price is reasonable too. One or two hours will be sufficient to explore this museum.

  • 4/5 A M. 11 months ago on Google
It was nearly half the price to get the entrance ticket on Klook. Would definitely recommend that since 400 baht is steep for this place as there isn't a ton to do. The gigantic elephant is amazing up close, though, and climbing up the stairs to the top is pretty cool. I wouldn't necessarily make a trip specifically for this museum, but if you're around the area, it's worth a visit.

This was a great experience with a lot to see. I would highly recommend going here. I did a purchase on Klook. It was a comb with the Ancient City, which is another great place to go. If you do both, it's an all-day event.

  • 4/5 Sara K. 8 months ago on Google
This museum is also a shrine with a mixture of hindu gods and buddhist gods. The entrance fee of 250baht is really worth it compares to the architecture and craft they invested in. Recommend for those who appreciate cultural attractions

Museum of art placed a little outskirt of Bangkok, accessible with BTS or taxi. Entry fee is THB400 for 1 adult. Well managed, and clean. Audio guide is available for free as well. Good food and drinks are available here with very affordable price.

This is one of the highlights of our recent trip to Thailand. You just love this place. I'm still in awe. The elephant statue just mesmerizes you. Also the place is very peaceful and the concept of this whole structure is brilliant. Hat's of to the creators of this amazing place. How to reach: Take BTS skyline, get down at Pu chao or Chang Erawan station and walk for 10 mins. Tickets: Book it on Klook and redeem at the ticket counter inside the complex.

  • 4/5 PHG 5 months ago on Google
Better than expected. Main attraction obviously is the 3-headed elephant -we all thought that- BUT, you need to go inside and walk all the way to the top, there's a temple within the elephant's body, definetely worth-seeing. Tip: Taxi drivers get discount on the entrance, so you might wanna agree terms with them.

Museum and temple with a huge (and I really mean huge) three-headed elephant statue made out of bronze. The statue is on a pedestal building that has histories of Buddhas past lives, and you can go up inside of the elephant. Really beautiful park and shrines around the compound as well. Beautiful!!

The Erawan Museum in Bangkok offers a truly wonderful and captivating experience. Its stunning aesthetics make it an Instagrammer's paradise, with its unique blend of ancient stories and modern architecture. The highlight of the museum is the mesmerizing column of four different religions, symbolized by elephant legs, which holds up the building. The opportunity to enter the elephant structure via stairs or an elevator adds an extra layer of intrigue to the visit. Overall, the Erawan Museum is a must-see destination that beautifully combines history, art, and architecture for a truly unforgettable experience.

  • 3/5 Erica M. 5 months ago on Google
The museum is medium sized. There isn't really much to see. You can walk around, take some pictures and enjoy the graden seats. You can also go into the temple and snap some shots. It is quite a short experience and not worth the price. It wasn't too busy when I visited.

The ceiling of the temple and the big elephant are impressive. Otherwise, it is just like a temple or a place that introduces religious beliefs in Thailand. I don’t really like this place as the Ancient city. You can buy tickets from Klook, the price is so much better than the price at the welcome place

This museum is indeed unique. Not sure it was that interesting though. Definitely enjoyed wandering around and looking at the exhibits, but as a museum, well, I've seen more interesting Thai museums in little cities like Lampang and Nakhon Si Thammarat. The key attractions are the inside of the building beneath the giant elephant and the gardens surrounding the museum. Unfortunately, despite the beauty of the gardens, it's not really relaxing due to the noise of the highways surrounding the property. Access is by taxi, public bus, or BTS. If you take BTS, it's about a 20 minute walk from the nearest station. I personally thought this museum was a bit overpriced at 400 thb, but be aware that you can buy tickets online from discount sellers. If you do this, you must first present the voucher at a special ticket window to the right of the cafeteria to get a paper ticket for entry.
