Mural painting is stunning. Over 200 year old temple, long history from Ayudhaya period to present. Also an execution ground in the past.

A beautiful set of historical building includes Temple, a pagoda, bell tower, Ho trai (library) and Thai houses. I impressed by the scale and sequence of the temple space. Small door excess to the monk's chamber with well locate bonsai tree at the entrance is just fantastic. The temple was built during the Ayuthaya period with Sukhothai. The stylish gate is believed to be built during King Rama 4th. Sadly, the temple was closed on the day we arrived. 1star less for the unrefined river bank management.

Hidden a bit deep in a small alley, the temple is packed with many things to see. The main Buddha is beautifully crafted and housed in the main church painted with historic and religious wall paintings. Recommended if you are in the vicinity or even wanted to explore this community around Bangkok Noi. The temple can also be accessed by boat cruising up and down along this canal.

Temple was so beautiful and peaceful. My only advice is absolutely do NOT fall for the boat rides. It was awful and they took you to the Taling Floating Market for 40 minutes and it wasn’t even the main part of the market. So you pay 1300 baht or more for a boat ride that would be less than 100 baht GRAB ride from the temple to the Taling floating market. If you want to ride on the water just take Chao River Express, much cheaper and better experience.

beautiful and peaceful historic royal temple complex with many buildings that have a mix of Thai and Chinese styles. hidden away off the main road and khlong it has almost no tourists but its a working temple so locals come to make merit and for many other reasons. it is close to a new MRT station so will be easier to get to when the MRT Blue Line extension opens

Wat Suwannaram Ratchaworawihan is a beautiful and historic temple located in Bangkok, Thailand. The temple can also be accessed by boat as well. The temple is known for its intricate architecture and beautiful murals within ordination hall. The temple grounds are well-maintained. Visitors can explore the ordination hall and pay their respects to the temple's principal Buddha image known as "Phra Satsada". The area surrounding Wat Suwannaram is home to traditional communities with rich histories, including Ban Bu, the last remaining community of bronze craftsmen in Bangkok, Wat Thong Market, a local flea market that has been around for over a century, an ancient traditional Thai medicine pharmacy, the Bangkok Noi Museum, the Wat Suwannaram School, and the historic Bangkok Noi Railway Station, located nearby.

Golden Temple, an old temple before the Thonburi period, beautiful both inside and outside. Currently deteriorating with time. The Ubosot should be renovated to perfection. It is a temple of historical importance during the Thonburi and Rattanakosin periods.

👍👍 If your shopping at Makro or Foodland you'll probably want to add a trip to this market as well. The food-court is truly excellent, cheap and massive, I'd estimate 40 separate prepared food counters. You can get a really good meal here for 30 -80 baht. The produce section is quite well stocked with...

👍 If you happen to drop by Siriraj Hospital or Siph just for your own health check-up or medical follow-up, it would be nice to check this temple out. Around this time of every year which is early November, a temple fair emerges and everybody rejoices 🎡
