For westerners keen to visit, the email reservation system doesn't work and the Bank of Thailand switchboard is in the Thai language. However, it's still possible. Show up 10 or 15 minutes before one of the three tour times. The security guards at the gate will stop you and ask for your name, showing you the guest list. If you're not on it, they will give you this phone number: 02 356 7766. when you hear the recorded message in Thai, press 3. this will connect you to a real person who can hear you speak English or connect you to someone who does. Tell them you'd like to join the tour; they'll warn you the tour is only in Thai but you can take pictures. They tell you to come through security in the building across the street, which is the Bank of Thailand museum and learning center. Someone will meet you there and give you a wristband. There's a good coffee shop there where you can wait before or after your tour. Walk across the street by yourself; the security at the palace gate will let you in with your wristband. There is one room you can't take pictures in, containing personal belongings of the royals who lived there. I don't speak Thai so I didn't understand this and got in a little bit of trouble, but they were nice about it. Tour is about an hour.

Bang Khun Phrom Palace is located on Samsen Area, just near to Rama 8 Bridge and adjacent to Bank of Thailand Museum. It is a heritage royal residence which is right next tot he bank of Chao Phraya River. The architecture here is an Italian craftsmanship. The palace for royals each represent various unique room for specific purpose. The European / colonial style palace requires booking in advance from BOT website to access with 2x tour guides provided (in Thai language only). I believed there's 3-4 sessions each day and each tour session is max to 40x ppl. Many thanks for the tour guide for going beyond mile to explain to us each of exhibitions and rooms visiting are. From the terrace to the interior design. Meet up point (with a pink wristband) will be provided at the BOT Learning Centre. Please be there 15 mins prior to your tour start time. Then after roll-call, the tour guide will then walk you to the Bang Khun Phrom Palace. Definitely worth it. PS: Only still photos are allowed (in some rooms). No videos nor motion capturing is strictly permitted.

We have preregistration for the tournament in the palace. Go to the gate and can not find the way to get in. The registration table in the opposite basement of BOT museum. Have a little disagreement on running outside and inside to find how to get in the tour guide group.

The Palace is beautiful but you can skip it if you don't speak Thai or you're not very interested in history of Bangkok. To visit the place you have to go to the building nearby to get a guide and you'll walk with in the group. The guide is free and the whole attraction is in Thai, the tempo of sightseeing is very slow and it's told in every detail so it can be boring. You're very limited with the photos and you can't make a video, wearing mask is mandatory.

Today this former royal palace is owned by the National Bank of Thailand. At the moment, it is closed for renovation. I visited this palace in June 2018, shortly before it was closed. It was very interesting. During the visit, we were allowed to use a camera in the park and, with a few exceptions, everywhere inside the palace. When the renovation is completed, there will be access for the public again. I do not know when this will happen. Perhaps in the middle of 2019?

Bang Khun Phrom Palace 、。。 European style Palace on the banks of the Chao Phraya river 、。。 One of Thailand’s less known Palaces, the Bang Khun Phrom is a magnificent, early 20th century European style Palace situated on the banks of the Chao Phraya river 、。。 Construction of the Palace was ordered by King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) at the start of the 20th century to serve as a residence for HRH Prince Paribatra Sukhumbhand 、。。 とても素晴らしい、。。

If you are into Numismatics, then that's your place. Very interesting about Thai currency in a refined building.

A gem of architecture, what a shame that no photo allowed inside, free guided tour (thai language only - English brochure available) runs multiple times on Saturday only, you can simply just walk in, take a a ticket at the gate and wait for the round. At first we booked online for 2.30pm tour but found that they also run 1.30pm. Best way to get there is to ask a taxi or tuk tuk to go to Bang Khunphrom intersection, it is inside the Bank of Thailand complex. BTW, you need to exchange the ID to enter so bring Passport.

Absolutely amazing experience. Open at weekends; you can only go around with a guide and group. They do 3 tours per day; weekends only; 11.30, 1.30 and 3pm). The tour is free. It can be slightly strange when you first arrive. You don't go into the Palace complex; you have to cross the road and go into the bank of Thailand Museum to register for the guided tour at a little desk on the first floor. You sign up (just write your name; no ID needed when I went) and they will ask you to come back at the start time of the tour. If you are worried you won't get a spot, arrive early, sign up and then to the coffee shop within the complex, or they have an impressive library on the second floor where you can free read. You need a face mask. All tours are in Thai, but the lovely guide tried to pull us aside each time and translate to English but that didn't distract from the beauty of the building. You can take photos everywhere except one room. Highly recommended.
