Great halfway trip from Bangkok. Very easy to reach. Take the green line to Keha and jump on one of the pick-up taxis waiting at the station (they are marked with a 36 on the roof). The ride to the Ancient City costs 10 Baht. Once at the entrance, tickets are 700 Baht (400 if you have a Thai work permit or driver's license; there seem to be discounted tickets available online as well so that's worth checking out). You can rent an e-bike for 250 Baht (3h, every additional hour costs an extra 100 Baht but 3h is doable even with a coffee break). The park is massive and very well taken care of. Was there on a slightly cloudy Saturday, perfect weather for some sightseeing, still there were very few people in the park. There are small coffee shops and toilets at every corner, super convenient. Lots of great photo stops, history and Thai culture to be explored. Cruising around on an e-bike is great fun. There's a lot to see and only two of the sites were inaccessible due to maintenance work. Once you're done, bring back the scooter and cross the main street via foot bridge on your left so you can wave down one of the pick-up taxis (again, 10 Baht, marked with a 36 on the roof). A great and fun getaway from the city!

Although the ticket is a bit expensive, it’s worth to go. We drove in the place by adding 400b more for the car. It’s convenient and nice. There are also other choices like golf cab or bike which are also good. We stayed there for about 4 hours but definitely can be longer if you are not tired. The maintenance is quite good. So you can really enjoy some good views. Snack counters and toilets are sufficient. Toilets are clean and with proper papers. Overall, it’s a good experience.

This is a gorgeously designed and beautifully maintained representation of Thailand. They have segments of native structures and depict different stories across history. A definite must visit if you're in Thailand. Traditional music and food is available throughout. Since the coverage is so much, they have a train tour or you can take in your car or rent a gold buggy/ bicycle to move around. It's better to book the tickets online. When you head to the online booking counter, they hand you a map for easy guidance

It's a really cool place! I wouldn't add it to the main attraction list when I am short of time in Thailand. It's more of a nice to have type of thing.A variety of temple representation from across Thailand. Make sure you buy your tickets online to save some money. The golf cart makes it even better it adds so much more to the experience. You can also find elephanta there.I think there are only 4-5 sightings worth visiting the rest you can drive past them. I strongly feel that the exhibitions themselves need to be maintained a bit more thoroughly. The rest of the park is really clean and well maintained. The staff is great and really helpful. Had a great time there.

This attraction ranks among the finest I have experienced. From the architecturally stunning buildings and statues to the serene water features, every aspect is impeccably organized. The staff also contribute to the exceptional quality of the visit. Given the expansive nature of the area, I highly recommend utilizing a golf cart or an electric vehicle for navigation. Attempting to explore this vast space solely on foot could be quite challenging.

This is a very beautiful place. Definitely a tourist trap, but a worthwhile one. Don't make the mistake of thinking the e-bikes would be fun...get a golf cart!!! They do not exchange or refund even after only a few minutes. E-bikes are not comfortable at all!!! We wasted quite a bit of money, but were much happier in the golf cart.

Massive museum park with stunning architecture! Make sure to set aside a whole day if you want to get the full experience. The self-drive mini-cart is the best way to get around IMO. There are also bikes for rent if you want to burn calories while exploring the park. The guided tours are great but only stop at a few locations. Overall, one of the best experiences in Bangkok for architecture and history buffs. As a bonus, You will also get to see some local wildlife around the park.

Buy tickets online, you’ll save around 500THB per person. Fantastic place. Don’t leave Bangkok without visiting. If you have only one option because you don’t have many days, choose this. It’s a huge park with small ponds and lots of temples and Thai pieces of architecture. You can have freshly cooked food inside and even go for a ride with an elephant. There is option to rent a golf cart and go sightseeing around easier for 350THB for one hour and 100THB per extra hour. BEWARE they charge a deposit around 5000THB. Wear sunglasses and a large hat because the sun is an enemy there and will make your visit unpleasant. To see everything with a golf car took us around 4hours non stop. It’s not a small place so go early and have time prior visiting.

The park is huge and the buildings are dizzying. The scenic spot provides golf carts, electric motorcycles, bicycles, and of course you can drive your own car. Personal recommendation, if there are few people, I recommend electric motorcycles, and if there are many people, choose golf carts. The entire scenic spot is still under construction, and each building is imitated very realistically. Every building wants to stay in the camera, which is suitable for playing all day. If there are some scenic spots in the park, you can check in here, and the effect is almost the same.

Wayyy more fun than I thought it would be. While I was expecting to be in awe of the sights here with the beautiful and colorful architecture on display, I did not anticipate how fun it would end up being with a golf cart. Considering how large this place is, you will definitely need some form of wheel-based transport to get through it within a day and the hilarious liberty to park almost anywhere with the golf cart and then send it to the next location adds a level of fun and freedom rarely seen in these kinds of tourist attractions - you are both the tour and the tour guide here. With one of my friends driving and the other guiding him with the map, it felt like watching the most picturesque WRC rally course being traversed at less-than-breakneck speeds. I hope that alone succeeds in convincing you to visit this place while in Bangkok

A marvellous place to spend your day off. Be ready to spend several hours there. You can take a golf car for 350 BTH + 100 TBH for any additional hour or a bicycle. Or you can just take a walk through all the sights, but this can be quite hard because of the heat. There are lots of places to take cute photos. Take tickets online this will be much cheaper. Highly recommended.

This is certainly a must for anyone visiting or living in Thailand. The Ancient City is the largest outdoor museum in the world, preserving Siamese true heritage. The Ancient City allows both foreign and Thai nationals to appreciate the history of Thailand. There are 121 sites, some are reconstructed on a scale of about 1 in 3 while others are as big as the original. One can hire a bicycle, an electric bike or even a golf cart to travel around the plus/minus 200 acres. If you have your own car, you can enter the city at a fee.

Lovely experience. The temples and shrines are beautifully done to the smallest level of detail. I recommend renting a buggy and each person having a personal umbrella to cover from the sun. Don't forget your sun block and drink plenty of water. Took us a good 1 hour to drive through the entire park and made around 3-4 stops to experience the temple. You can easily spend half a day there but the heat was unforgiving at the time.

This was an interesting place to visit! My young kids were intrigued and had fun riding in the buggy that we rented to go around the entire place. Did not expect the place to be so huge! Definitely recommend renting the buggy or bicycle to get around. Many ig-worthy photo spots too!

Nice place for photo shooting. We rented the Thai traditional costume in the park. Suggest to rent a golf car to travel in the park because the distance between each spot is very far. We bought the ticket through Klook website with cheaper price.

If you are a foreigner living in Bangkok, make sure you bring you Thai Drivers Licence or Passport & Visa to get in at local rates (half price). The other alternative is that after 4pm is is half price to get in (Adult 350 Baht). There is a free section that you can go in (refer Free Zone on map attached). You could easily spend the entire day here as it is so large, you can hire a gold cart (350 baht for 1 hour, 200 per hour after that) there are also bicycles for hire. It is very well maintained and set out, it was quite a nice temperature out there with all the trees and water around. A great escape from the concrete jungle of Bangkok.

A very cool tourist place. Many interesting locations and beautiful nature. Among the locations are many replicas of real temples and historical buildings, lots of large sculptures and monuments, and even a ghost museum. Golf carts, e-bikes and regular bikes are available for rent. My girlfriend and I rented a bike and rode around the park for about 4 hours. Renting a bicycle cost 150 baht, regardless of the time of use. It is better to eat at the beginning of the park, because most of the food establishments in the park are currently closed. It is also better to order tickets in advance, so it will be twice as cheap, we paid 350 baht for 1 ticket. You can easily get to the 36 route taxi to the terminal stop of the green metro line.

One of the largest outdoor museums in the world, constructed by Lek Viriyaphant. The site is set over a large area and features some beautiful reproductions of some of Thailand’s iconic and mythical buildings that you are free to explore at your leisure. It takes around 2 hours to traverse the park by golf cart, which I highly recommend for shade and comfort as it makes the experience more enjoyable and offers relief from the sun. Quick tip: book your tickets online as it is half price. They will.l not always inform you of this when purchasing tickets on the door. We bought them online while at the park gate and they were available immediately.

This place is Amazing. Your ticket is 700baht per adult, includes bicycle. If you want the golf cart it’s additional charge by the hour and I highly recommend it. The park is huge and it’s hot. I could easily spend 2 days here. They have multiple food vendors, drinks, restaurants on site and throughout the park. They do have an overnight resort on the property. Pro tip: Bring a few different outfits, there’s so many different and unique places to take photos. You can also rent traditional Thai costumes once inside. Also try to avoid the large tourist bus groups, the Chinese will totally kill any peaceful moment you were trying to enjoy. Wish we had more guys like LEK (now the Lek Group) still around, he’s also responsible for the Erawan Museum which is a great stop in the morning on the way to Ancient City. I also recommend taking BTS there and back. Traffic is brutal.

Definitely not a place you can easily walk through due to its massive size; transportation is a must! Unfortunately, bringing your own bike inside is not an option, but there are convenient rental choices available. The facility offers numerous restrooms and eat stations scattered throughout, with a buffet entry fee of 280 baht. The attractions themselves are impressive, providing opportunities for great photos. Additionally, there's an option to rent traditional costumes for a more enjoyable experience. I appreciate their unique approach, as the exhibits are far from being too simple or generic; I’d say that there's a nice touch to every detail. Not every attraction is a must-see, after spending about half your time there, you'll likely grasp the overall concept and can enjoy the beauty from a distance as you drive through. There are certain areas where long clothes are necessary to cover your legs, but you can just borrow it. 4ish hrs is sufficient to explore the main attractions, drive through the entire area and take occasional breaks at the eateries. Might be different for a big family though, which is different from my experience.

Located on the outskirts of Bangkok city, this place is an open museum showcasing replica of temples & palaces of Kingdom of Thailand all in one place. Visiting this place will get a fair idea of all architecturally important monuments across Thailand. Beautifully re-built & maintained structures, really appreciate the effort taken by the authorities to keep this place in such a good condition. It’s a vast museum, I preferred to take a bicycle tour. It gives you the freedom to check out places that I was interested in & we can cover the place at our own pace. Stay hydrated as it can get really hot during the day. If you are interested in ancient culture & architecture, then this is a place that you should visit when in Bangkok

Let me put it straight, you have one day at your disposal and you want to complete the crash course on Thai architecture and Thai culture and have a glimpse of Thai weather, look no further. It's spread in huge area, has life size miniatures of almost all famous Thai temples, statues, boats, markets etc. If you have kids or old people with you, you can take your car or hire a cycle or a golf cart. Will take 2-4 hours or more based on your interest. To add to that timeline, there is a small market inside and weekend shows you can spend time. Though weekdays are less crowded as usual.

Came on a Saturday at 3:00pm. Almost all of the tourists were gone. Bikes are free with a ticket. We biked around taking pictures. It was the perfect temperature, as it already started cooling down for the evening. I highly recommend doing the same as us: Go later in the day. Ride bikes. You will have plenty of time

Amazing place! You can learn a lot of most of the wonders of Thailand in just one Park and very very affordable price (even if you buy the package including a nice Thai buffet lunch). Be aware to come early since it will take you long to see all the the scenes in this park (more or less 10 km). You can find gardens, statues, temples, recreations of monumental buildings, real elephants and other animals, restaurants, a museum, and even a small Thai farm-village.

Awesome display of Thai culture. Added benefit we found elephants. We fed the elephants but did not ride. Also bikes and golf carts to get around. So big we could never walk every where 1 day. Also, they are very honest. Made a mistake on my credit card that I did not catch. They actually sent someone to find us to get issue fixed. Not many places would do that. I gave 5 stars for each point made above. The staff and attraction were Awesome. Highly recommend.

The best museum ever! This place is so well organised, with lots of things to see. I would recommend biking around the place so that you can get around and see everything easily. The terrain is very flat, so it's very easy to bike around. We spent almost the entire day here but only managed to get through half of the place, so we'll definitely be coming back! The shops are great too. The staff members are really friendly and helpful. We're super impressed all around.

I visited ancient city and it's one of my favorite place showcasing Thailand's rich culture spread across huge area. You can roam around either by bicycle, golf cart and tram (tram ride is included in the ticket). They have good amenities at each and every stop from coffee to washrooms. World class place with cleanliness and infrastructure. Must visit.

A beautiful park that you can take at your own pace. Although they are replicas, it is a great way to see all the different styles of Thai temples. Along the way you can read or listen to the history. We took a golf cart, but you can rent a bike or escooter as well. I do not recommend the tram since it is better to explore and wander. Going in the different sites is difficult for wheelchair and strollers but there is plenty to see without actually going in.

We visited Ancient City which is been regarded as one of the largest open-air museums in the world. We can see many significant places in Thailand, like castles, palaces, temples, and sculptures. The experience gives the impression of traveling the whole country within a day. Visitors can have an awesome experience of experiencing the Thai cluture. We explored the park in golf cart which is charged at 350 baht per hour. We really enjoyed the time which was well spent.

i had the greatest afternoon with my friends in The Ancient City. I was there at 3PM, quite late so i didn't check all places in the map, but the golden hour was truly golden and glorious. We rented 3 bikes (you can choose electric bikes) to go around. Staffs were super nice and helpful. Not many people came here because it was quite far (20-30km from the centre), and we all love it. This would be our must-check whenever we come back to Bangkok. It'll be hot if you visit in late morning but a December afternoon is awesome.

Interesting place. I think instead of visiting all historical monuments in Thailand better visit this ancient city, here you can see the replica of historical monuments of Thailand which are located different parts of the country. Unfortunately there was light rain when I visited this place so couldn’t take more photos. And They will allow you to take your car inside the park with entry fee

Amazing place, a bit outside of the city , but definitely worth the visit. You can do the tour on your own car/bicycle , walk, rent a bicycle or rent a golf cart. The ticket also includes having some traditional Thai snacks and drink in a traditional Thai house. It’s a big park so plan at least half a day to visit.

One of the world’s largest outdoor museums features a 200-acre city with 109 scaled-down copies of Thailand’s most famous monuments and architectural attractions. It was such a nice experience, where you can visit most of the places at once. You can travel there by taxi, by BTS. I booked my tickets from KLOOK app and it was easy. Once you go there show your ticket to the counter and they will explain all the details. And they will give you a map and and explain best attractions that you have to cover. If you are a solo traveller rent a bicycle for 150 Baht and you can cover the whole place nicely 3 to 4 hours. Take some snacks with you and water. Therr aee some food stalls inside also. Take a cap with you it's bit hot in some areas.

It's a great attraction to check out. It's a bit outside of the city, but for the most part, you can take the BTS and then hop on a 10฿ shuttle to the place. It's massive (200 acres) but you can rent bikes, e-bikes and golf carts. I believe there's also a tram that takes you around. You could totally spend a whole day here. There's a restaurant with a buffet and just a simple small one near the entrance. Lots of different areas to see...but some of the more interesting ones were under construction when we went. Some shaded spots...

400 baht for Thai nationals 700 for international. But if international buy their tickets online ahead of time it’s actually cheaper than what Thais pay! (Surprising!?) 400 baht to bring in your own car which was worth it for the AC and shelter from rain but you can also rent golf carts or bikes for an hourly price Was super worth it to see the Grand Palace here as well. The replica is 4:5 scale from the real one so barely noticeable. Plus we didn’t have to pay the 500 baht price to go to the real Grand Palace The place closed at 7:00 pm unlike that Google Map says when we visited

Surprisingly, I really enjoyed the visit. I had been many years before but didn't really enjoy it that much. What I enjoyed the most was walking the park. There are very few places in Bangkok you can walk without avoiding open sewers or motorcycles driving on the sidewalk at full speed. Because I've visited the actual sites of some of the buildings, was like a 3d photo album, bringing back good memories. For Thai art, it is a one stop place to take photos of a wide variety of architecture styles. The buildings are smaller, so better to get more in the picture

A cool place to visit that is full of small versions of famous Thai buildings and architecture. Each area of the park is themed after the different regions of Thailand. The price for tourists was 700 baht as of Feb, 2020. If you have a non-tourist visa(work, education, etc.) you may be able to get the Thai citizen price of 400 baht. The ticket comes with a bike and you can rent a golf cart for 350 baht plus 200 baht for every hour after the first. There are small shops to buy cold drinks and food everywhere, so don't worry too much about packing snacks and drinks for the day.

Many ancient replica buildings of Siam history can be seen here. Spread over a huge sprawling ground, you can either drive, rent a buggy or bicycle to explore this incredible place. The artwork, tapestry, porcelain of the ancient Siamese culture can be viewed here. The place is serene and scenic. Other ancient replica attractions are still under construction. Best to go during the cooler months of Thailand.

Great place to see Thai architecture and artifacts and replicas from Thailand's past. We also enjoy either renting the bikes to ride around or renting a golf cart, which makes getting around and quick stops quite easy (especially with young kids). Lots of lizards for the kids to gawk over. Also spotted a walking fish. There was some construction that closed off two exhibits (August 2021), so looking forward to seeing those open again on our next visit,

This place is full of wonder and gorgeous beautiful architectures and artworks in small scaled replica with intricate details of the actual places. The Ancient City offers walk-in and online ticketing with hotel package or Erawan Elephant Museum (a few BTS Station away) in discounted prices. Rentals are also available at the following rates: bike rental for 150 baht (all-day) and goft cart rental for 300 for the first hours and about 100 bath for every one hour after. Make sure to prepare water, lots of memory cards and energy as you will probably take a few hours at least outdoor. I would suggest to visit this place in the late afternoon as the weather is not too sunny, so you can enjoy it better. Bring umbrella just in case you plan to visit in rainy day.

A really beautiful place for Buddhismers, they have the headphone come with the tour so you can put the number at the place you see, to hear the storytelling. This place is big so they will give you bicycle to ride around, or if you go as a group, you can rent a electric cart with your passport & driver license (if you don't have driver license still okay, but if you hit something in that area, you'll have to pay for it). The price for rent the cart was 500B/hr

The park area is very large, so I recommend taking a golf cart to move around it. We took many beautiful photos. However, it seemed to us that everything looked very artificial and a little toy-like. The park's disadvantage is the lack of greenery and the fact that all buildings are made hastily from cheap materials. Also, many objects are under reconstruction. We spent 3 hours in the park and didn't see everything. We were advised to book tickets in advance to get a discount on the price. Despite some drawbacks, Ancient Siam is a great place for photo shoots. We took many beautiful photos and enjoyed visiting the park. If you are looking for a place for bright and memorable photos, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Perfect place to explore Thai culture. Accessible by BTS. I recommend borrowing a traditional costume (directly in the park) and then your pictures will be absolutely awesome. We had an amazing half day there. Park offers a lot of visitor facilities, and you don't need to bring anything with you.

We had a BLAST! The place was phenomenal and the buildings were beautiful. Renting an e-bike for 3 hours helped make the place more exiting. In terms of price, the tickets are fairly inexpensive and the e-bike rental was for about 350 BT for 3 hours. It is sad that the building I wanted to visit was being renovated, but overall the place is MUST VISIT.

Ancient City or Muang Boran is the outdoor museum. The place comprises Thai architecture from all over the country. It can be easily said that you can witness all of Thailand in just one place, the easiest way to reach this place is to take BTS to Kheha station. Then, catch a taxi It won’t take you more than 10 minutes. By personally, I'm very like Thai-style architecture. Going to this place allowed me to see various unique and beautiful sites, the museum is divided into sections based on your region. North, South, Northeast and Central Thailand There is also another section, "Suvarnabhumi", which houses beautiful art from nearby countries. It's like “You come to one place, but you can travel throughout Thailand.” The grounds are huge so getting around is something to be considered. It's most convenient and cost-effective if your group knows how to ride a bike because they are provided for free. No sidecars, unfortunately. There's a tram that goes around the place for free with a tour guide but I wouldn't recommend that because I don't think you get to go down and explore. If you've got money to burn, there are golf carts for hire. 150 baht per hour for a 2 seater and 300 baht for a 4 seater. ps. I wouldn't recommend going on foot as it's a large place.

A great place to visit if you're into sightseeing. Its life-size replicas of famous temples are the main attraction. However, not a lot else to do besides that.

Super worth the visit.. foreigner with work permit it's 400THB (same as Thai people) and if u r a tourist then 700 THB. U can rent a golf cart (4 ppl) first hour 350THB and following hour 100THB which is really worth it . U can also rent a bicycle which is 150THB for the entire day but it's difficult to ride in entire day. Place is humongous needs entire day to enjoy and take photos if u like (definitely worth it). There are some cafe inside for refreshments.

Lovely day out. We hired a bike each and cycled around. Highly recommended cycling, walking would take so long. Plenty to see and with the new constructions going up there will be even more to see. Remember to wear a hat and sunscreen... also dress appropriately if you want to enter some of the Wats. Would have been better if the shops were open, although we were able to have some lunch and stops for drinks and icecream were open. Will do it again. If you have a work permit or thai driving licence, you get charged the lower entrance fee :)

This is amazing. Definitely worth a visit if you have any interest in Thai architecture, history, or geography or just like cool buildings. (Some were designed by the same artist as Sanctuary of Truth and the Erawan Museum, so if you liked those, you should check out this.) The scale of this place is beyond enormous. In two hours, I RUSHED through. I recommend renting a bicycle (which you can do on the premises.) You can also get a ride in a golf cart which stops at the major places for a short time so you can get out and take photos. I encountered a little confusion with the carts. The first one dropped me off at a stop in the beginning and then I never saw or heard from him again. Maybe they are supposed to come regularly when it's not pandemic times? I had better luck when I managed to charter my own golf cart who gave me a private tour (no extra cost) but oddly, the driver had to be told by a woman at reception who spoke English that that is what I wanted. Getting to the park and back is not too hard. Take the BTS to the final station where you can pick up one of the many waiting songthaews or taxis to take you the rest of the ten minute drive or so down the big street to the entrance. There are also taxis at Ancient City that'll take you back (for a slightly inflated fare...) Some of the structures in the park represent smaller versions of actual landmarks and some are utter fantasy. Loved both. There is an audio tour as well. As a cool building junkie, I could have spent all day here.

Absolutely enjoyed it. Get the choice to rent a bicycle or a driver at the entrance. The service is already included in the ticket admission. We went for the bikes as we want to be more flexible when it comes to stopping and taking it in as opposed to having to be considered for other people. Also, it was a good exercise and the breeze was very enjoyable. The park itself is huge! So many beautiful things to see. Pagodas, temples, statues, gardens, ruins, boats, etc. The lost goes on and on. We were the only ones in the massive park when we arrived at around 10:30am. Nobody, but workers that helped maintaining the place, did we meet, which kind of felt like a VIP experience but on the downside, the park and the people are depending on the tickets so we hope that there will be a surge of tourists or more locals soon. COVID really made it a lonely experience since restaurants towards the center or the other end of the park were not even operating. The people deserve to be imbursed for their hard work and need it more than ever now!

Definitely a full day experience if you were to stop by each structure. There are 121 locations where you can rent a buggy or bicycles to ride around. They even provide guided tours around the city. I recommend stopping and entering each temple as they are different from one another as each is truly beautiful in its own way. Some places were still in the renovation process when we visited but that did not dull the experience whatsoever! Will visit again once everything is fully opened!

Nice park! You can rent a bike, e-bike, and golf cart. Booked via Klook so it’s cheaper. There are restaurants inside the park. It was quiet so you can hear the birds and cows. Check my photos! It was worth it.

Great place for photo taking. I highly recommend coming in the morning to avoid the tour groups to take good photos. The big 3 Buddha statue is still under construction but you will still be able to take photographs from a distance. Also, do get the golf cart because this place is huge and it will take at least 3 hours to take photos of all the notable sculptures via golf cart... cycling and walking is highly avoided. There are food stalls inside this city and the entrance fee is 600 baht per pax. You can get here via taxi from the nearest BTS station which will cost about 80 baht.

Excellent exhibit of Thai culture and architecture. The bicycles used are old but they sre free. The free English acoustic guide are very useful in explaining what you are visiting.the food and drinks available are very reasonably priced so no need to take your own food. As of this week some areas are now being renovated. But there is so much to see. You need at least three to hours to visit most exhibitions.

This place is amazing and has become the highlight of our holiday in Bangkok. The amazing level of detail, the sheer scale and beautiful grounds mean we could have happily explored the Ancient City for several days. Not only are the buildings, structures beautiful but the amenities are great. Western toilets and lots of places to stop and ear. We were pleasantly surprised that the food prices were similar to that of central Bangkok markets. My only regret was that we only allowed ourselves 1 day here. We should have set aside at least 3 days to explore this.

I am very lucky indeed. Today we went to Siam Ancient City in Samut Prakan Province in Bangkok, just to look at it from outside because the ticket was supposed to be 700 Bhatt. When I went to the ticket office I was offered to buy the ticket for only 200 Bhatt, promotion price for Thai people, if I have a visa to stay in Thailand. I showed my passport to the employee and received the promotion price. I was so surprised and happy as well. We went through the museum park in several hours, because it is occupying 320 Hectares as well as we had a courtesy tour around the ancient city. The Museum Park was established in 1972 and created by Lek Praphai, a wealthy business Thai millionaire. Siam Ancient City has 116 structure of the most known monuments and architectural attractions in Thailand. It is the largest open museum in the world and the most impressive. I am certain if the management of the museum dropped the entry fee to affordable level, say, 150 Bhatt to Thai people and 250 Bhatt for forgniers, they would never be quite again. They would be always busy. Million of Thai people and forgniers will rush to visit the place day after day. However, I do recommend visting Siam Ancient City for everyone to visit while the entry fee at the moment is very much affordable and also when the price goes back to normal because it's difnitly worth it. Believe me you will enjoy it one hundred percent like me if you visit this stunning museum. Bangkok 20 February 2021 Sobhy Fouad

Nice place to ride bicycle and enjoy your day. Better check the weather forecast before you go because in the noon time is so hot in the summer. If you have your own bike, i suggest you to take it or you can rent for 150 baht for all day. Moreover there are golf cart for renting. For first hour, It costs 350 baht and the next is 100 baht. For your own car is 400 baht ( I do love golf cart, it was so much fun) Entrance fee is 350 baht for thais or foreigners who have work permit, 700 baht for tourists. For thais, there is all year ticket which cost 560 baht. Don't forget to bring water, cap and camare. :)

Visit Ancient City theme park to see all of Thailand's numerous landmarks in a single day! The park is laid out to resemble the map of Thailand and the landmarks placed accordingly. Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions only the Southern and Middle regions are open to visitors. Not many shops open now but would definitely recommend a visit.

Really nice place to spend a couple of ours exploring the rich culture of Thailand. There are some miniature (but still big) temples and historical monuments that actually exist as well as some colorful architectures that can be only experienced here. You can choose to walk (not recommended) , ride a bicycle, rent a golf cart and get on a bus. We choose to rent a golf cart and it was quite fun to ride around. Many architectures are very colourful and interesting- you will be amazed to see the details of all temples and buildings- some of them are just so beautiful and there are many photo spots also. Market streets are also fun with lots of nostalgic and simple toys that are not like complicated Nintendo! It was a bit sad to see an elephant that was chained though.. didn’t look ethical.. Overall, good experience being a bit away from Bangkok!

The best place for photoshoot, so many nice buildings and scenery. If you truly want to experience beauty of Thailand then Be prepared to spend at least 4-6 hours to drive around and take some stunning pictures. Make sure to bring your driving licence and you can rent a golf cart, don’t you dare to even think about walking! Places is gigantic, lots of small stalls and shops selling drinks. I would suggest to come before 12pm so you don’t have to rush. Buy tickets online as it’s cheaper but not from the official website.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Ancient City in Thailand and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The park is absolutely massive and it's incredible to see all of the different replicas of ancient Thai architecture and landmarks. Plus, with the option to rent bikes, buggies, or even bring your own car, it's easy to explore the entire park without getting too tired from walking. One thing that really made my visit stand out, though, was the staff. They were incredibly helpful and friendly, and they went out of their way to ensure that I had a great experience. When I accidentally left my bag at one of the sites, they not only found it, but they also took me back to the site and helped me locate it. It was such a relief to have such helpful and caring staff around. Overall, I would absolutely recommend a visit to the Ancient City in Thailand. The combination of stunning replicas, convenient rental options, and wonderful staff make it a must-see destination for anyone interested in Thai history and culture. It was truly a happy and unforgettable experience!

Quite touristy, many of the temples are not originals and are either replicas or built with some "creative liberty". A very fun place to go and ride around, but expect tourist fun, not an authentic Thai experience. Definitely get your tickets off of klook! It's much cheaper. And get a golf cart if you can, not many of the temples are worth going in but it's very fun to ride around the outside. The complex is huge so it would be very difficult to walk. Fun, but manage your expectations.

Ancient City has been regarded as one of the largest open-air museums in the world. Visitors can see many significant places in Thailand, for example, castles, palaces, temples, and sculptures. Some are models, but some are the originals that were taken from certain places. The exhibitions in the Ancient City are divided according to regions for visitors to enjoy and appreciate the core of the multi-faceted culture. The experience gives the impression of traveling the whole country within a day.

This place was awesome! We did not have enough time in 2 hours to go through the whole city. If you have the whole day, you could skip the golf cart rental and walk the entire place. If you need to finish in a certain amount of time, then rent a cart and park on the areas that are designated for the carts and walk portions of the city or just drive through and stop at the main sights. Please note that there are a good number of places that require shoes off to enter and some areas where no photos can be taken.

A wholesome experience, we booked tickets in advance and booked tram on the spot which stops at prominent view points over 2 hours of ride. Cheap and best alternative to cycling and golf cart. You must note the timings of the tram in advance. You can also take cycles or golf carts on rent and explore at your own pace and comfort. If the weather is good this is an excellent option. The shops sell souvenirs at reasonable prices. You can also feed the elephants and click pictures but the people here were very rude. We cannot share a basket of fruits while feeding the elephant. Although it was cheap enough to buy another basket.

For Americans/Europeans, definitely rent a golf cart for 250 baths in first hour, and then you are charged 200 per hour. You can see a lot of archeological architecture styles all in one spot. Not too much crowd. There are a lot of bathrooms and some stores with AC to cool down. It's quite hot.

This was the main attraction of Bangkok. Its 200 acre land area is so vast and beautiful. We took a buggy car on rent. It's so well planned and marvellous architecture of temples there. A must watch in Bangkok.

Fun open air museum outside of Bangkok. 700baht per foreigner adult admission. That includes a bike rental to ride throughout the grounds (I wouldn't walk this). So many different installations and restorations to admire. The nature is beautiful and there's plenty of flowers & water to admire. Worth snaggin a Grab ride if you're staying in BKK, it's pretty popular so getting a ride back isn't hard either. The grounds are HUGE. There's not much shade throughout the park so bring water and sun block, it got crispy real quick.

I highly recommend this place to those who want to see the entire Thailand in one place in one day. Museums, temples, elephants, food, and all stuff about Thailand. So many activities you can enjoy and less crowded.

There are miniatures of Thailands POI's. There are about 121 miniatures here. It takes about 5 to 6 hrs to cover the entire places. Important to carry cap, sun shades or umbrella since it's an open air exhibition. There are many shops all along to quench your thirst. The shops serve also foods but not many option though. (Vegetarians need to prepare their meals) Movement inside the ancient city: 1) Normal gearless adult Bicycle available at 70THB unlimited usage (Kids bicycle are available for 150THB, but they won't be able to pedal for the entire range) 2) Self driven Golf cart available at 350THB/ first hour and 200THB/ second hour onwards 3) Use your own vehicle to commute at 600THB entrance fee Dress code No such restrictions but there are temples inside where one needs to wear decent clothing and remove shoes to enter Beautiful heritage of Thailand at one place.

Really really good day out beautiful grounds to roam around in a golf buggy, tram, bicycle or walk. We cycled around and looked at all the beautiful temples and statues. It's 700baht entry with a free bicycle and audio guide. It takes approximately one hour in a taxi to get from Bangkok city and taxi costs approx 400baht one way. Great day out

Such a great place to start exploring Thailand's unique culture and architecture! You can see how significant Buddhism is reflected in the nation's culture from their buildings and monuments displayed in this outdoor museum. Entrance fee is a bit pricy for foreigners, around 700 baht per person, but it already includes bicycle ride and guided tram tour (in Thai language tho). Buggy vehicle is separately rented, costs around 250 baht for the first hour, and 150 baht per the next hours. Overall, it's been a great adventure!

3 stars because 1 star was lost for animal abuse (elephants for ride and pic) and another star lost for horrible service at their lunch buffet, no sufficient vegan or vegetarian options, they automatically give you four types of meat and that's it no negotiating) otherwise the park itself and the architecture and landscaping was breathtaking and definitely worth a visit. Very impressive and a fun bike ride through the park. Tons of photo ops and interesting sites. PS to rent a golf cart bring your passport or international drivers license or you can ride a bike for free, which was fun anyway.

Pick a good weather day.. Wear sunscreen.. have lots of water and a good camera. You could spend about 5 hours here.. even longer if everything needs a pic. If you have a work permit.. you are given a small discount on the entrance fee. Cycles and golf carts for hire (seriously recommended) . Lots of history.. like a blitz course in Thai history.. with several more buildings and temples under construction as well. This museum is beautiful and its easy to see why drone operators and influencers love this place.

Ancient Siam is dubbed as the world's largest outdoor museum. Close to the Crocodile Farm in Samut Prakan Province, the 320-hectare "city" features 116 structures of Thailand's famous monuments and architectural attractions. The grounds of Ancient Siam correspond roughly to the shape of the kingdom, with the monuments lying at their correct places geographically. Some of the buildings are life-size replicas of existing or former sites, while others are scaled down. The replicas were constructed with the assistance of experts from the National Museum to ensure historical accuracy. Outstanding works include the former Grand Palace of Ayutthaya (destroyed in the Burmese invasion of 1767), Phimai Sanctuary in Nakhon Ratchasima, and Wat Khao Phra Viharn on the Cambodian border.

Wonderful place, but most of the zones are closed at this time. They also reduced prices to compensate. Very scenic place with lots of buildings from the Ayutthaya era. Can recommend to rent a bike or cart as the place is quite big to do by foot especially once all the zones reopen.

Ancient city ruins or architecture are historic the splendors of the past. One of the largerst outdoor museum in bangkok, including about 125 scaled down replicated of thailand's most famous and popular monuments. One stop for education and holiday. So fun visit this place, take your time to take a picture. To spin around you can ride free bicycle or golf car but it will be extra charge. Klo di indonesia semacam 'Taman Mini Indonesia Indah' di jakarta.

Would not recommend to go now. Weather right now is very hot and there are few shaded areas. Only a third of the park is open. Due to covid, visitors were not allowed to rent bikes. Golf carts are allowed, but too expensive for one person. Best to come in pairs to share the price. Was left by the free tuktuk ride and had to walk majority of the park. Refreshments are affordable at around 50 THB but no restaurants were open. Bought the discounted tickets on Klook to avoid the issues with the foreigner pricing. It’s a short taxi ride THB50~ away from the Kheha BTS station. Take note that it is difficult to book a grab on the way back. Best to wait until everything is opened again and go during the colder months. Some of the more beautiful attractions should be open in the latter half of the year.

A thoroughly enjoyable and educational day. The Ancient City or Muang Boran is a huge open air museum about 30km outside Bangkok. It’s shaped in the form of Thailand where you can see many important buildings like temples, palaces and the ruins of ancient cities from the history of Thailand from early history to present day. You can also hire electric carts to drive yourself round which is fun, shades you from the sun and convenient. Or bicycles and tram are other options too when I was there. It really is worth a visit as the quality and artistry of the buildings is wonderful. Very glad I went. Beautiful.

Not too many people during this pandemic period, you can take your time to go around. You can rent a bike for 150 Baht a day, or take TukTuk 50Baht for 75 minutes, and the last choice is rent a golf car. The city is quite big, but some of the places were repairing.

Buildings are beautiful and interesting. Facilities were not fully operated. Some toilet was closed. No markets, most were closed. Weather is too hot. It will be more interesting if there were instructors at each building and more shady area.

The place could have been much better. They built many beautiful spots and structures but more than 50% of them were so run down, closed and untaken care of. Many are under constructions though so I guess it means that they're improving. Understanding according to Covid they must be struggling. It was busy with locals which I assume that they're on annual membership so that probably won't bring more income. We had to pay to rent bicycles which rather in not a very good condition. They're quite big and spacious but not crowded. I do recommend you should go see it and go early so you have enough time to check things out. Bicycles need to be returned by 17:30.

First of all check on the Internet as you can find combined tickets of the ancient museum and the Arrowan museum which decreased the price by 30%. In the interest of this museum you may rent a golf cart or an electronic bike to travel around, this museum has a very large space and as the weather is hot I would dearly recommend to rent a vehicle which would cost you less than 400 Bhat. The place is absolutely gorgeous, for someone who traveled all around Thailand you would see many monuments and historical places that were reconstructed even though a bit smaller and all in the same place which gives you the WOW effect as for the moment you leave this place 🤩

  • 5/5 Chris C. 9 months ago on Google
Ride a gold cart people!! This place is SUPER amazing but super huge so invest in a golf cart, its 350baht per hour. It’s got everything— all the temples in Thailand but miniatured. The visit is worth it, even the luncheon buffet is very good too. Good thai food and desserts. Highly recommended 🥰

  • 5/5 Dev S. 9 months ago on Google
Very beautiful, and well maintained. All the models have a good amount of info in English and Thai. Bicycles, golf carts, or cars can be used to move around inside the museum. These are usually not included in the online tickets which are cheaper.

If you want to find a place where you can take photo with a lot of famous landmark of Thailand, this is a place for you. It’s a little bit far from Bangkok center but easy to go. It’s suitable for people who love outdoor activities. You can rent a bicycle or buggy to ride inside this place

The ancient city is a well build tourist attraction. I advice to rent a golf cart or bike to roam around because the park itself is very large in size. If you're unlucky it might get very busy. I went on a not so busy day but even then it felt busy. All in all a nice experience to be there for half a day up to a day.

  • 5/5 thaddeus l. 5 months ago on Google
It's really beautiful. the design of the buildings and the intricate decoration is really stunning. A very good place to experience Thailand's Buddhism culture. A lot of history has beed brought there such as the Ayutthaya and houses a long time ago. There are air-conditioned cafés inside with nice cold drinks for a hot sunny day. Very good place for the family. Renting a buggy is recommended as the area is big and the weather is hot as well.

Don't miss visiting The Ancient City when visiting Thailand! We love seeing the elephants and the temple replicas all in one place! Rent a golf cart if you can, definitely made our sight seeing easier and efficient. Bring water as it's so hot during the day.

    1. Different types of vehicle to hire like golf cart and e-cycles. 2. Very good place to roam, I prefer take the golf cart, the place is very big. 3. In the entrance ticket counter we were told the most spots for photos and everything other 4. It was worth spending all the time.

Ancient museum This one is build on the places surrounding archeological history site. This area is too big. And the weather will be too hot. So don’t take risk of going by walk or by cycle . Either bring your own vehicle with driver or rent a golf cart or rent their golf cart with driver if you are in a group.

Beautiful themepark about the magnificent buildings from ancient Thailand. Today, there are only a few other visitors beside me and my friend. Very good place to walk, but it is very huge and you better hire a bike or golfcar.

Went here not expecting much but was completely blown away by the place. As always, excellent Thai hospitality as soon as I reached the place. I booked a golf cart and drove around for an hour or so. Unfortunately, in the second week of October, the heat was unbearable. Would have liked to stay longer but the heat made us leave. Enjoy the pictures but pls don’t use without credit!

  • 5/5 J K. 4 months ago on Google
A unique and utterly fascinating experience that will combine all aspects of local culture and history in the convenience of one centrally located park. Highly recommend the golf carts for getting around and the audio guide unless you simply want to explore. Only the big replicas/re-creations had English text to read. Plan to spend about 3-5 hours here or more if you partake in additional activities.
