Staff
not
very
friendly.
Bed
was
okay
but
not
especially
comfortable.
Free
drinking
water
and
a
good
location
if
you
want
to
go
out,
but
don't
expect
a
good
night's
sleep
with
the
noise
from
the
road
downstairs
and
all
the
bars.
Just
because
you're
not
directly
on
Khao
San
road
doesn't
mean
it's
quiet!
Considering
its
location
you
would
expect
there
to
be
a
good
atmosphere
but
the
staff
don't
really
encourage
that,
and
seemed
to
prefer
to
market
the
hostel
at
families
which
seemed
a
bit
odd.
We
were
asked
to
keep
the
noise
down
at
10pm
in
the
lobby,
and
for
a
few
nights
I
had
a
whole
family
in
my
dorm,
from
grandparents
to
young
children,
which
seemed
a
bit
strange
given
the
hostel's
location.
The
showers
and
toilets
are
a
bit
dingy
and
don't
always
work.
They
were
often
cleaning
or
fixing
them
and
I
would
be
told
that
they
would
be
done
in
'half
an
hour'
but
they
wouldn't
be
ready
three
or
four
hours
later
which
was
very
inconvenient.
It's
okay
if
you
really
need
somewhere
to
stay,
and
the
price
isn't
too
bad,
but
there
are
cheaper
places
on
all
the
streets
nearby
and
I
wouldn't
recommend
it
here,
mainly
because
of
the
staff.
I
was
not
made
to
feel
welcome
-
at
one
point
I
was
in
the
communal
area
and
a
member
of
staff
kept
turning
off
the
fan
despite
the
heat,
and
despite
my
asking
him
not
to;
it
seems
that
he
was
more
concerned
about
the
cost
to
the
hostel
(the
minute
cost
of
running
a
fan
for
a
while!)
than
about
the
comfort
of
the
guests.
