In general I would say for one night it's perfect but I would not stay more than one. Here are my pros and cons of the place : + Pros Welcoming Host and employee Great chilling space (Beds, cushion on the floor, good chill music and cozy ambient) -Cons The dormitory I was didn't hsve AC, like 10 people in the dorm, just fans and no curtains and the beds are very close from each other Small toilets and not many. Not too many showers in the place also

Wonderful. Everyday clean the entire hostel. Kitchen available. Laundry available. Near by khaosan road walking street. Near by Grand palace. Walkable distance for bus stop, restaurants and street food shops. Polite and friendly staffs. AC and NON AC dormitory available. Choose before confirmation. Clean toilets. Best Thai massage center in front of the entrance.

I really enjoyed my stay at Born Free Hostel. I felt safe as solo travelling woman. I’ve been to few hostels already and this is one of the best ones. Clean, adequate prices. I definitely recommend!

This hostel has a very nice location. I could go to all major temples on foot from there. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a fan room and it was ok, the toilets have a nice shower and there is a kitchen where you can make some food. I would definitely stay there again.

I had such a fabulous time staying at born free hostel. Looking at it online I thought it was too good to be true; best price in the area, plus great taste. But it was true! And definitely the cleanest Uber cheap hostel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s owned by the sweetest family, and the owner was such a nice dude. Very friendly and energetic with great recommendations. There were two obnoxious people who came in late being loud, and the owners told them off, which I really appreciate because it means they’ll probably leave a bad review because they were brats, but they were quiet after that. I personally don’t love Bangkok but I’ll be returning just to stay here again and check out the wake surfing park the owner recommended. Excited to stay here again!

Quiet, clean, friendly staff. The guy who checked us in was cool. They have a little kitchen and lots of area on the first floor to chill. Lots of cute cats live at the hostel.

Best hostel I've been so far. Near from everything but quiet for a great sleep. The personal is available and kind and the atmosphere with the guests are very friendly. I spent 5 nights there and I felt happy there.

Hostel was clean, prices are decent, location is a bit far from public transport and other attractions, but still okay. My only issue was no curtain/ privacy in the dorms or double bed dorms. Double bed dorms have a see-through pull down wall on some beds, not all. My first ever hostel I’ve had this experience. Feels very uncomfortable. No towels available to use or soap. Wifi is good.

The friendliness and coziness of the place and the location absolutely outweighs what they lack in the quality of the dorms. Dorms are 3.5/5, but everything else makes up for it. I went through many of the Bangkok's districts and this is by far the friendliest one of them both for 'tourists' and 'travelers' with all the services available while still being not short of streets without single 'Caucasian' in sight. Bicycles provided free of charge.

Keeping in mind, that the hostel is only about 8€ a night, you Can't complain! Everything is clean, the dorm has a good size, the shower and Toilette are in one Cabin, two on each floor, but the bathroom itself is Not seperated from the hallway so Not so much privacy here. The ac room has a nice cool temperatur and the hostel is in a lovely neighboorhood :)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Born Free Hostel during my visit to [insert location], and I can confidently say that it was one of the best hostel experiences I have ever had. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. One of the standout features of Born Free Hostel is its impeccable cleanliness. The common areas, dorm rooms, and bathrooms were spotless, creating a hygienic and comfortable environment. The hostel staff made it a priority to maintain cleanliness throughout the day, ensuring that everything was neat and tidy. The staff at Born Free Hostel truly went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. They were incredibly friendly, approachable, and always ready to assist with any inquiries or recommendations. Whether it was suggesting local attractions, arranging transportation, or providing insider tips, they were knowledgeable and enthusiastic about making my experience the best it could be. The communal spaces at Born Free Hostel were fantastic for meeting fellow travelers and forging new friendships. The common area was cozy, inviting, and thoughtfully designed, providing the perfect atmosphere to relax, socialize, and share stories. The hostel even organized regular events and activities, creating opportunities to connect with other guests and experience the local culture together. As for the accommodations, the dorm rooms were spacious and comfortable, offering a good night's sleep after a day of exploration. The beds were cozy, and each guest had their own storage locker to keep their belongings secure. The attention to detail, such as individual reading lights and power outlets, showed that the hostel had truly considered the needs of its guests. Location-wise, Born Free Hostel was situated in a convenient area, close to public transportation and within walking distance of popular attractions and amenities. It made it incredibly easy to explore the city and discover hidden gems without much hassle. Last but not least, the affordability of Born Free Hostel was a pleasant surprise. Despite the exceptional quality of service and facilities, the rates were very reasonable, making it an excellent choice for budget-conscious travelers who still want to enjoy a comfortable and memorable stay.

Great hostel close to Khao San Road. It is located in a side road, so it is very quiet and pleasant to sleep. The hostel is super clean and very nicely decorated. The beds are comfortable and at night is a pleasant Themparatur to sleep in the AC room. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful and always have tips for excursions. I would come here again and again.

Lovely staff and cats , the owner is very nice and has a good business model , social space is cosy , so no problems there , only the beds were just Awfull i mean hard slabs like cement in what is actually a double bunk seperated with a straw curtain , loved the hostel but did not like coming back to my room , a wooden partition and perhaps a soft mat on the mattress would help a lot , loved that Siberian black cat and the Ginger :)

I stayed at the Born Free for five nights, I had such a great time. This hostel is set up in a way that makes it really easy to meet people. For me traveling solo this was very important as I like to be social. The staff are awesome, super friendly, helpful and lots of smiles. I loved them so much. Everyone was awesome. The rooms are clean, the young woman cleaned out room everyday and changed used bedding. I know that is a worry that bedding is not changed. I would definitely recommend this hostel for solo travelers, and there were a also a few couples there as well. I stayed on the top floor in the six bed room and the AC was perfect. This room even has a terrace where you can chill hangout and also hang your wet clothes if you need to wash. The only thing hard for me was the bed was a bit hard, but this my first time to Thailand and from places I have been they are all on the harder side. If you have back problem like me you may want to consider this. Other than that I had a great time and would definitely recommend to friends this place for the awesome people and Comradery. I truly had a great time at Born Free!!!! Oh and they will arrange all your tours for you, pick up at the door A+

Born Free Hostel is a haven nestled in the heart of Bangkok! From the vibrant atmosphere to the warm and welcoming staff, this place feels like a home away from home. The cozy ambiance, coupled with the comfy beds and well equiped kitchen, made my stay an absolute delight. The communal spaces are perfect for meeting fellow travelers and sharing stories, fostering an incredible sense of community. Kudos to the fantastic owner for their exceptional hospitality and creating an unforgettable experience. I'll definitely be back to soak up more of the Born Free magic!

Amazing, loved staying here! Made really good friends! It has a super chill area for you to meet new people! I wouldn't say it's a party hostel it's more chilled ! The rooms don't give you a lot of privacy because the beds are really close and don't have anything in between but that's part of the experience aghahah I think its worth it for 2-3 nights the staff is super friendly and everything is very clean! And you can use the kitchen and the fridge

Lovely Hostel close to the Center. Stuff and Manager are as sweet as it gets :) 6$ per night is a good price for a bed. Also it’s a more quiet hostel. Chill out hang around but still get to know people. Anytime again 🫶

Lovely helpful staff, great place and affordability for young travellers. There's was 6 of us in the 6 bed dorm at the top and we had our own garden chill area too. Cute cats live at the property. We came back to hang out for the day one time because we enjoyed the vibe there. Thank you to the staff! There is no elevator and so you must be comfortable with stairs

This is an excellent and safe hostel. Comfortable. I would recommend you staying here. Lakman is one of the nicest people I've ever met. He is professional and courteous. If you are heading here, ask for him. He deserves a raise. Excellent. 5 stats 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Cheap, good location for Khao San Road. The service was friendly. Facilities basic but fine. Didn't get hot water, though it was hot enough outside. Fan room was very warm and not the most comfortable to sleep in. Rooms seemed clean. It was an OK budget option.

Very accommodating and friendly management. They were very helpful in giving necessary information regarding the commute and such in bangkok. You can even take a cycle of them upon producing your to them. The shared beds are very good and the bath and toilet are well maintained. It's very competitively priced and is value for money to stay here as its close lot of prominent places in Bangkok.

The hostel is in a wonderful cosy neighbourhood of Bangkok. The rooms are cool and comfy, and there's good bathrooms and a relaxing space for before and after check-in/ checkout and for socialising with other travelers. The staff there are lovely and warm people, and they are enthusiastic about Thailand so have lots of tips for where to explore, and the cheapest ways to do it!! Amazing food is a 2 minute walk away in any direction too. Highly recommend this place for a night or a longer stay:) there's also a couple of chilled out cats hanging around too

Had the most amazing stay at Born Free - the hostel owner Emma couldn’t have been kinder to us and helped us out through our disorganization! Lovely staff and really clean rooms. The air conditioning was a life saver. Definitely recommend.

Atmosphere is great, calm in a good way, staff is very polite. Two cats living there :-) Wasana, the manager, is such a nice host. She provided me with very helpful info about where to get stuff and where not to. After I got a little bit tourist scammed, I asked her a lot of things I wish I’d asked before. We had a nice conversation and she helped me plan my further trip to Changmai. She has a background in tourist management and knows what’s important to the guests, but not getting hard on you to sell stuff. Felt very greatful for the good energy she puts into this. AC at night is fully on, so pick a scarf. As usual, bathrooms can get crowded at times. Beds are comfortable.

Very nice staff, comfortable beds (we had an AC room), amazing location! Favourite neighborhood in Bangkok! Only negative aspect are the bathrooms- the upstairs shower and toilet are in the same cabin ( there are two of them) and the toilet couldn't be used a lot of the time because there was shower water splashed all over it. There are two toilets on the first floor which don't have that problem.

The hostel is very nice, located close to khao san road. There is a nice long area and the host is very nice. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that in the dormitory the AC makes a lot of noise.
