Steer clear of. I don't know how this place has such high reviews. Its heyday was over maybe 4 years ago. And since then no one has invested a single 1 baht there. One socket in the room additionally occupied by a fan. The switch has to be pushed every now and then for the air conditioner to work at all. You go to the shower to wash yourself and suddenly there is no water. If you are just soapy then you have a problem or you can wait half an hour then maybe the water will be. The only way out is to go downstairs - there is water, only not hot, because all the water heaters are not working.

We booked the place because of the high rating. The rating makes no sense. It is dirty and we cleaned our room with desinfection as we moved in. There was no key to our room. Someone lost it they said. But there are lockers. If you spent your time outside, the place is the cheapest for a family. The family room has 6 beds 30m2 and was at 14USD a night for the room. The Skyrail is nearby. The aircon works well. Downstairs there is water in the slightly gross shower. The toilets are there. But I preferred the ones in the dmk shopping mall. Well, there are good things about this place. Halal food around the corner. Friendly and clueless person overseeing the empty living room downstairs. Atmosphere is at zero. Still I kind of like the place. But you shouldnt expect much.

This hostel is completely run down. The owner has decided to never fix anything and the staff never cleans the bathrooms or showers ever. There is black mold everywhere and the whole place is a complete health hazard. There are a lot of small little things that could easily be fixed but no one seems to care.

Loved our stay here, even though its only for one night. The place is strategically situated, walking distance from cheap food hubs, train stations and convenience stores. Very friendly staff and guests. Although some improvements could be made, especially the Bathroom. Recommended for backpack travellers.

Pleasant place for having a good rest. There are comfortable beds and rooms are quiet. Hostel is clean. They have a plenty of books and board games to use. You can also use projector to enjoy a movie. Friendly and helpful staff. Thank you Siam journey for your care.

250-350 baht for a bunk bed. 1 000 bht for a private room with 4 beds - it might be a good option for families travelling. It's a quiet place, no noisy scooters around. Close to the city centre and BTS metro. The staff is friendly. The place is clean, and feels cosy, but a bit worn out. The AC could be cooler.

The reviews are either really old or fake. Been travelling 11 years this is one of the worse places i have stayed.

Overall I have mixed feelings about my stay here. The staff were welcoming and friendly, but the place wasn't in the best condition. Our room was not the cleanest and the shared bathrooms wasn't that clean either. I got the impression that the place was run a bit lazily, which was a shame. The location is good, very close to the BTS and the river boat (which is probably my favourite means of transportation in Bangkok). If you prefer to stay away from the bustle and hustle of Khaosan Road, this will be a great location for you.

This has been the best place so far during my Thai trip last month just because i was able to turn AC on all the time. Thanks God. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Bonus: it's the heaven of cat coz there are so many of them outside the house

Good, cheap Guesthouse. + great location + very affordable + fridge and kettle available - The beds were hard as rocks - bathrooms needed cleaning and refilling of toilet paper.

Budget friendly accommodation for backpackers going to Thailand. Just manage a little bit of your expectation. But overall, the place was good. Thanks!

Stayed at Siam Journey Hostel and was disappointed. Great location near the sky train, but the hostel itself was not clean. My room had trash from previous guests, and there was an unpleasant smell. Shared bathrooms on one floor were inconvenient and unclean. There's Wi-Fi and a kitchen, but overall, it’s not worth it due to the poor cleanliness. I'd recommend paying a bit more for a cleaner place.

I found this place randomly while wandering the streets of Bangkok with my heavy backpack after the plane and couldn't leave for weeks. The area is very quiet. The people are friendly. And it was a great feeling to meet funny, the person in charge there. You can connect with him through music. He's a great hang drum artist. I recommend you to get interested. The hostel has a warm atmosphere. There was a fridge and a microwave. I had a fun time there.

Going to Thailand for the first time I was obviously concerned about the accommodation. Needless to say after looking at my rating that I didn't have to worry for long after I meet the staff. My luggage was delayed and the staff was really nice, they even borrowed me clothes so I wouldn't need to buy new clothes. The hole place is very clean. They borrow towels for 20B (which is super cheap) they have soap, cooking area and refrigerator. You can bring the friends you eventually make to the living room. It is also very conveniently located next to phaya thai station. I'll definitely come back.
