I live in Phnom Penh. I stay at this place whenever I come through Bangkok. Absolutely fabulous place. The owner, Bee, is so accommodating and helpful. One time she specifically came back to town and opened the guesthouse just for me in late 2022. That's really going the extra mile! She's also full of all sorts of recommendations, tips, and tricks to navigating Thailand. It's right on a Skytrain line and is super convenient, yet quiet and clean. I recommend contacting her directly for better prices. I was so happy to see Smile Society survived the pandemic and is still in business! Strongly recommended.

Bee, the owner, is a lively person with a big heart, always ready to help when needed. She made sure our stay was going smoothly and that we could enjoy the activities we planned to do, even when it didn't work out as expected. The hostel is sensitive to the environment and try to be eco-friendly and encourage guest to be as well, which is really nice. We stayed in a deluxe double room with private bathroom. There wasn't any window but it wasn't an issue at all as the room is well organized and we are out most of the time. It is perfectly situated: walk a couple of minutes and you have access to the BTS, a very nice park, shopping mall, night market, etc. Smile Society is definitely a place we would recommend to anyone.

I have been to a lot of Hostels all ober the World travelling since nine years and it is still my absolute favorit. Really clean, really save and really friendly staff. Over the years I stayed in a Dorm, a Standard twin and a deluxe room and everything was just great. Ms. Bee who is working at the desk knows everything what you have to know about Bangkok. I stayed there seven times and will never go to another Hostel in Bangkok as long as it exists. THANK YOU!

My husband and I loved staying here. Quiet, clean, friendly and convenient location. Breakfast is included, as well. Ms. Bee was very accommodating and gave great suggestions on things to do and see around Bangkok. We definitely recommended!!

I really miss Bangkok Thailand so much I had decided to go back and look for the smile Society Hotel 10 years ago I stayed there before the smile Society it was the smiley hostel I guess it now transform into a hotel probably years ago I had great memories staying at the smiley hustle before Smiley Society took over it is a wonderful location where Night Market there the restaurant just step away from the door I don't know if the restaurant is still there are not as though I remember the bartender waiter and waitress are very friendly they keep it company they have both indoors and outdoor seating everywhere we're just close by I would not mind staying at the smile Society if I ever come back to Bangkok Thailand someday looking good right now it looked like everything just reopened half the pandemic so far I went to Bangkok Thailand July 2013 and I just were very impressed with this:-) I hope to come visit you again for those of you are reading my positive experience comment be safe now

This place was an affordable option, and for the price, was a great find. It was clean, relatively simple and generally quiet. You get a bed, AC, kind staff and a good location. This is a youth hostel so keep in mind that they want to have only a certain age demographic there and also desire guests who aren't in Bangkok for unsavory reasons. You should also know that they care about conserving energy here, so you will only have access to power, AC, and lights while you are in the room with your key card; same if you want to charge your phone or laptop, etc. I appreciated their concern for saving energy. I would definitely come here again. Bring a lock if you want one for the lockers they have provided or they can give you one for cheap.

It is a 2star hotel, so in relation to that you can expect a room with bed and place for luggage and a bathroom. Pretty simple but enough. What makes this place really awesome is the energy! The owner is full of love, passionate to support you and provides a couple of services, such as laundry, booking offers, a room like a shared livingroom and everything from heart. We had forgot a part of our luggage and she managed it with a taxi to the airport which costs only 25% of the regular price. So if you're looking for cheap accomodation with wonderful people, highly recommended!

Good location (lots of street shops at night and bars beside) and service, the place is also clean. However, the downside for me is the facilities like AC policies to turn off during afternoon, the bathroom is small and of your 6 feet tall the shower won't reach your head, the room isn't so spacious as well. If you just need a place to stay at night this is good, if you want goof facilities (games/lounge room/breakfast) this isn't the place for you. Check out Siamaze it's the best hostel in Bangkok

Place looks abandoned and dilapidated with the door barricaded with garbage. Very unpleasant energy. Booked for luggage storage but we changed our mind and will be canceling and reporting.
