Awesome place! Super clean and spacious :) also a 15minite walk from the main station which was will useful for us. Free brunch on Sundays -- very delicious and freshly made, with a great veggie option. Boyfriend and I both had two servings. Everything is well air conditioned, which is a godsend in the Thai summer. Cheap laundry services, kitchen appliances and 30day free luggage storage all available at the hostel. Didn't get time to try the attached restaurant but there are plenty of places within a 10minute walk of the hostel that are highly rated and serve great food.

This was the first hostel we stayed at after flying into Bangkok. Spent a full month exploring Thailand and decided to spend one more night here before heading into Malaysia. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Location is 10/10 as the metro line is a five minute walk up the road. You can easily walk to the Grand Palace as well as MBK Shopping Centre. Clean rooms, COLD A/C and a helpful staff. Great hostel for an unbeatable price!

We had a great stay here. The staff was more than awesome. Smoothly and the people took care of us and was accommodating. The location was perfect to get to the train and the water taxis. We walked everywhere. Security is top notch - each room has key card access and lockers (provide own lock). Rooms are clean. Really great value for money.

My boyfriend and I are currently staying here and we love it!! Very clean bathrooms, knowledgeable and friendly staff that speaks English, good price and location. Literally zero complaints. Also all the plugs are already universal plugs so you don't have to worry about that either. If you're worried about laundry at all too there is a laundry facility right around the corner. Would definitely stay here again if I came back.

If you're looking for a quiet spot to chill away from the party scene but still a stone's throw from downtown Bangkok, this is a great option. Spacious interior, very helpful and friendly staff, and a really good coffee shop on site. Yes, it's not the cheapest, but its still very budget friendly. If I have any criticisms, it's that some of the shower facilities could do with a little maintenance, but that's a minor issue as they're very plentiful.

It's a very clean hostel, almost reminded me of uni halls. The staff were very friendly, had a pool table and a cinema room upstairs which was perfect for chilling out. The dvds were a little scratched and you had to pay for the pool table (only 20b but it adds up). That's the only reason why I give it 4 stars, other than that it's a lovely place to stay :)

Initially booked for 1 night, I ended up staying an entire week at Old Town Hostel! The place is clean, perfectly located and mainly the staff is INCREDIBLE! Juan has all the best tips that will help makes your trip memorable, Julie and her cute French accent will make sure you're happy while Dolores will cook you delicious cake for breakfast!!!! I am simply a fan. I know I'll go back there next time I go to Lisbon. If the staff read that note: THANK YOU so much for the wonderful experience and your kindness ;)

Great room. A little Dirty but excellent location. Was charged a deposit for a room key. Upon check out was never refunded. Returned to hostel in order to ask for my deposit and was denied as they said they had no recollection of this. Very unprofessional in this department. Definately must return deposit when key is returned

Actually a really nice looking hostel from the outside and the lobby is also quite fancy and than we got into the room! First of all the smell was really bad, it was kinda wet and just really gross even though there was only one person inside the room. Then there was MOLD on the wall! So discussing but the worst part of all first it was really hot in the room but once you turned the air con you couldn't regulate it any more! And even though my boyfriend but it on 25 degrees of was freezing cold in their, like absolutely freezing! I am very sick now, I mean I had a flue with fever and everything just from two days sleeping in there ( I had to wear a T-shirt and a jumper at night) And the remote to control the air con was downstairs with the staff and you could only "borrow" it and there was only one, so everyone in the 8 bed room had to go with the one person how had the remote. So bad not to recommend at all!!

I stayed here twice, and it couldn't have been better. The staff was friendly, there were good public PCs, lockers in every room, AC, clean bathrooms with separate showers and toilets, a large common area and a convenient location right by Chinatown and Bangkok's train station. One of the staff members took me out to a local internet cafe and dinner. Thanks Sunny and thanks Oldtown! Pro tip: ask for 40 baht lady at the reception. She's just around the corner and makes the most delicious food for just 40 baht

Nice staff. Everything clean. A kitchen where you can warm up food (but you can't cook there unless you bring your own rice cooker etc.) And they have a big fridge where you can store your food ans chill your water. Far away from the Khaosan road (yes) and very quiet at night. The rooms are simple but comfortable and they got a strong A/C. Go there, it's pretty cheap and in the middle of Chinatown.
