Cool museum. It's pretty big! Very interesting stuff if you're interested in labor relations or economic history. I spent 1.5 hrs. Lots of text explanations in Thai and English, dioramas, and both pre-industrial and early industrial artifacts. Free, donation box available.

This is an absolutely fabulous museum showcasing the labour struggle in Thailand from the 13th century to the modern day. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and friendly. It's free entry, and there is a donation box to support the work. Much of the museum is translated into English, and the volunteers are happy to answer any questions. An absolute must-visit. I spent a couple of hours here and it was an excellent and informative afternoon. The volunteers also provided me with free water since it was quite hot, which was very kind.

Opened since 1993, the Thai Labour Museum offers a historical perspective rarely seen in the Thai mainstream attention. From the feudal Phrai (peasant-like) system to the Siamese revolution of 1932, the cold war, and WWII, stories of workers and the struggles of common people against decades of political turmoils are recorded here almost exclusively. With the junta still in power, the existence and survival of the Thai Labour Museum today is also a part of this long era of battles for a democratic Thailand.

Fascinating museum on the history of the common people in Thailand, from the prehistoric period until the end of the 20th century. Only 7 rooms but more than enough to leave well informed and willing to read more.

The Labor Museum was great. The volunteer staff who showed us around was clearly very passionate about the labor movement in Thailand and was a helpful supplement to the English translated displays. My favorite part was the women-garment-worker-led strike at the Hara jeans factory. A really nice addition to a trip to Bangkok. Note that it can get a little stuffy without AC but the fans are helpful. It’s free to get in but we left a donation. You have to ring the doorbell at the door to get in.

This is a hidden gem at the museum. It really helps. You understand the history of labor in Thailand and I was blown away. It’s tucked in the poor area, if you walk from Markesan station, you really get the gist of the real street life. Entrance is free. Please donate when you go.

I planned to visit this museum at 14:00 on the 10th January 2023 but it was closed although the page of the museum on Google Maps said open. I walked more than 3 kilometers to see the museum. It is so disappointing.

The staff are so nice. The guide is good at English. I learned about the history of labour fighting for their rights in Thailand. A good experience. The exhibition is meaningful and thought-provoking. It is totally free so it needs more support.

I want a lot of people to come. I want the government to support it too. It's very old, 30 years old. If you do it well, it's great. It is a museum that allows you to learn about labor from the past to the present, including its origins, stories, and struggles. Inside there is a lot of cool important political evidence stored. Never knew before that there was I really like the hammer and sickle jeans. I want them ☭

It is a small local private museum, but it is worth visiting. It feels like the owner is very careful in running it, but you have to ring the doorbell before entering!

(Translated by Google) The taxi and neighbors don't know, but it is across the Makassan railway police station. Since the key is tightened, let's have the bell ring. Although only 3-4 people visit a day, it is very interesting for those who are interested in Thai modern history and social movement. It was created by a trade union with the support of a German foundation about 25 years ago in a democratic atmosphere. Since the text information (English) is the center, let's take time. I can see some aspects of Thailand that I didn't know.

Very nice little museum, showing the history of labour in thailand from the early beginings to the 2000s. Texts are also in english! Entry is free, but a donation is welcomed. I got also a bottle of water as an extra :) Further info is, that you have to ring the bell to get in, from the outside it looked closed at first.

Perfect place to learn about the "real and ordinary" side of life and work in Thailand through all of history. Tells it as it is, calls out problems, not leaving out uncomfortable periods. Also very welcoming staff. No AC, so bring water.

Highly recommend this museum to get a glimpse into the history of toil and struggle of the Thai Working Class. Run by lovely and knowledgable people who will elaborate and treat you with the dignity that is stipulated under a classless society. ✊🏼

Very interesting museum about the workers and trade union movement in Thailand. Each room covers a time period in Thailand's working class history. What I liked best was the last room on the labor movement today. The staff is very attentive and nice. Admission is free, but you can donate.

There is a shop selling beef noodles. It tastes like it did in the 90's. Clean and delicious. Delicious and very cheap. Special, just 60 baht per bowl. Whenever I pass by, I always have to stop by and try it. I never stop there. Looking for the taste of fresh meat/liver/mam/sabai/onion intestines Delicious taste like this. Give 5 stars.
