Part Museum and Part Art Gallery it's free to visit and makes for a great double event with the nearby Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall. Two floors, the 2nd Floor is all about ASEAN, the collaboration of 10 SE Asian Countries. Its great and quite good fun as you have many interactive displays where you can compare the similarities as well as differences between each country. For example, see yourself dressed in the National Costumes of each country. See popular dishes prepared by a Cartoon Type chef etc. The other part of the building on the 1st floor is a display of modern art, paintings and video, as well as photographic themes like martial arts, national festivals and National Dresses. Easily spend an hour here so three hours if you combine with Rattanakosin.

Excellent exhibition space, open to the public with no entrance fees. Historical art and contemporary art on display depending on curators. Several bus routes to help you get here.. and very much enjoyed by the young and old with a slow trickle of various patrons, fans and connoisseurs working their way through. If you like the art-scene in Thailand, this is also a space you would want visit. Thumbs up!

Amazing gallery for visiting, calm, lot of space. Sometimes I was missing the context and info about each piece, but in general very recommend to see.

Very interesting art center. Many great surprises waiting the visitors. Three floors of great art, culture, work shop, exhibitions, history lessons and fun. It's free entry for everyone and no limit time to spend inside. It's in a unique location where you once you finished, you can walk to another two art museums next door and the Golden Temple near by. Undoubtedly, it's a fantastic art center you must visit if you are in Bangkok.

A/C-proof, or at least cooler than the outside. Oh, and IT'S FREE!!!!!!!!!! You'll only have to register at plenty of stations on every floor :) Plenty of great art, though. The last floor specifically, all about the ASEAN association and community, is VERY well done. Temporary exhibits on lower floors are also very much worth it, with wonderful sculptures and great paintings. Very impressive exhibition designing all throughout. I highly recommend!

The whole experience was pretty mediocre. We were hoping for some contemporary art. Unfortunately only one floor was open with some interactive experience on Asean culture. Approximately half of the interactive sites was broken or not operating. The only art we saw was in the lobby.

Already paid a visit for the second time. Not uninteresting exhibitions in a really cool building on Ratchdamnoen. Entry was free on both visits. It's a shame that there's no cafeteria in the building. On the 2nd floor an interactive presentation of the ASEAN states.

The building itself is very well reconstructed, the space is very modern and airy. I saw beautiful exhibitions on each floor, all of them very stimulating and thought-provoking. It was wonderful to see how young Thai artists see and think about their country and how they are able to portray it. I loved the visit! Thank you 🙏🏼❤️

This cultural hub had some potential to offer more and the space could be better utilized to create a more inviting and engaging experience for visitors. The exhibitions change periodically, providing visitors with new content to explore. During my visit, the ground floor was used for the sale of handmade arts and crafts, as well as hosting workshops. On the upper floor, I explored an exhibition showcasing the ASEAN region and various Bangkok communities, each identified by their unique ethnic groups. The use of interactive activities and well-crafted props made the exhibition quite interesting.

Public space for contemporary art exhibitions. Free entry.

As a frequent visitor of contemporary art galleries, my expectations were often set low, as I find lots of so called "art" these days is extremely boring and all about being woke and political-correct. However I do see quite a few awarded works here that are well-deserved and very relatable. There's also a small library here that's worth exploring - quite an interesting collections of books around art and cultural studies.

Free art space with contemporary exhibitions that change frequently. Sometimes over numerous floors depending on current exhibitions. Open later than most places, 7pm on Sundays, and all free! Highly recommended.

Small, free museum worth checking out if you're in the area.

Quite a bizarre experience. There was only the top floor open as the SEA center with some attempts to create a sense of a place and display of ASEAN unity I guess. But it was only good enough for a school trip. The street food exhibit was a chuckle - though my favorite, with a hologram of a man cooking. The rest of the big building was under renovation, so most that the eyes caught was debris. Not worth the trip for us. Check if the entire building is back to its full function if you plan to visit.

The museum hosts changing exhibitions on 1st and 2nd floors which are listed on the website. Between shows the museum has nothing to see, but the 3rd-floor ASEAN Cultural Center has lots of interactive displays worth seeing.
