Good value for money Positive points : the bed is very comfortable, the location is great and our room was quiet. The swimming pool is very nice. Negative points: it is a very busy street so it is sometimes a struggle to reach the hotel because you are stopped every meter by people trying to sell you things The staff is not very helpful. We stayed for 4 days and the cleaning was never done in the room (no changing the bin, no clean towels, no new bottle of water…). Basically, no one entered our room to clean. We had to ask front desk to have a refill of toilet paper…. The room is very basic, there is absolutely no emplacement to put your stuff beside the floor (no shelf, no cupboard, no hangers). Even in the bathroom, we did not know where to put the towels. The first room we where put into had no AC, so we had to shift to another room with a broken bathroom knob. The window was in front of a wall so we spent all our stay with the curtains close (but maybe for the noise is it better than having a window on the street). The smell in the room was not very nice (I guess because it is never really ventilated). Overall, it is an affordable place to stay, especially for the location and the rooftop with the swimming pool. But don’t expect a hotel with real “deluxe” prestations, as mentioned during the booking process. That is why I was disappointed.

I only think of how to go to hotel by taxi. However if your luggage is not that heavy, taking Airport bus can be an option too. The pool bar on the rooftop is nice with the view of the grand palace and Bangkok City Hall, absolutely nice view at night. The pool is nice and clean. In a walk distance, this area is crowded with entertaining business so the street is really for party visitors.

Such a mistake booking this location. I arrived at night and the street the hotel is on is extremely busy and where all the fun nightlife is. There are like 30 clubs and different restaurants which is nice to visit but not ideal area to stay because of the crowds, creepers, noise and dirtiness. I had to navigate all my bags though the packed crowd, finally made it to the hotel. After getting my room, it smelled moldy, was hot and humid. The bathroom didn’t look properly cleaned, the entire toilet seat was wet. Every wall, door and surface looked dirty. Already horrified, I checked the bed and there was hair on the bed sheets. I complained to management and they sent someone to change the sheets. I was out when this occurred. When I got back the new sheets also had small hairs on them. Disgusting. And all might the noise from the music on the streets kept me up. The rooms are not soundproof so you can hear people in the halls, doors slamming and all the noise. I asked a refund for the second day and they refused. They offered another room but it was the same. So I booked another hotel 10 minutes away.

Great location and lovely staff. However the room was awful. The wall of the room was next to a night club with loud music which went on until 6am every night. The bass constantly shook the room starting around midnight. I’ve been to Khao San hotels many times over many years and this is the worst room I’ve experienced for noise. The AC was muggy and filled the room with moisture. Wet on the floor didn’t naturally dry and the bed sheets were soaked from the moisture of the room. There were also no curtains for the windows so as soon as the music stopped 6am the light came in! Eye masks and ear plugs needed at the minimum! I stayed at this hotel before for 2 weeks last year in a much better room - there are hundreds of rooms. I got the short straw here this time and probably won’t come back as the noise/wet condition of the room made me exhausted and flu’y. There’s a few better value hotels on the same street where all of the rooms are of a good consistent standard.

The room was not bad. The service was very good. It's no-smoking room, but I could smell it. So the staff offered to change the room. Khao San is very noisy at night. But it's quiet in the room (5th floor) - Not bad -

the smell from the toilet pipes was nauseating. the hotel is not safe i left money in the room safe and a few dollars disappeared. They did show the corridor cctv but it was quite possible that someone had come through the window and the answer was yaya. Looks like a scheme. There arr no complaints book and they still laugh when I ask how I can complain. the bed was good and really the best thing was to relax and refresh in the pool. Enjoy Thailand but please do have a look in some Other places. The area is Nice to enjoy and have fun and for sure u can get better than this. Love and light ☮️

Stayed here for over 6 months the staff is very kind to me. It's a party hotel but very clean and also houses families. It's not crazy just funny. Perfect location and again the staff make the the place great. Even the security is amazing and helpful.

Stay away from this hotel. We've booked a superior family room with balcony and two double beds, but during the check in, after they charged us the full amount, they told us there was mistake and they accommodated us in triple room without windows. Since it was 5 a.m. we had to accept. It was a terrible room and overcharged. Very unpleasant and unprofessional. Since we had another booking in this hotel coming up in 20 days, we specifically checked if there would be no mistake the next time. The receptionist confirmed us and even gave us the proper room number. However, yesterday we received an email from agoda that D&D was unable to accommodate us and proposed alternative accommodation. Very shameful and unreliable hotel. Don't book here.

Simply impossibile to sleep, don't stay here. Especially after a long flight.. crazy loud nightclub next door, your noise cancelling headphones won't do anything for the vibrations that constantly shake the room. Never experienced anything this bad when trying to sleep (unsuccessfully). 5:30 am now and room still shaking, crazy amount of noise

This is The worst Hotel I have visited. It is located at location wherein there is high decible DJ playing all night. You will be greeted with Air buds to cancel the noise. Presence of air buds says all about inconvenience you will face. Secondly, refe attached photo which is the situation of room in evening. Housekeeping people are rude and they don't bother to clean the room. Reception people are worst of all. There is fat Thai lady who does not know how to smile. She was rude and you will feel like you were making favour to them by staying in that hotel. Manager of the night shift who comes at 6 in evening and leaves at 3 am morning is the worst guy I ever met in entire Thailand. As per policy the check in was 2 PM. We arrived at hotel at 1 AM. They said rooms are getting ready. We were ok with that and assumed that we will get room by 2 PM. After enquiring 5 to 6 times at reception again and again they gave our booked four rooms at 4:30 PM. They said earlier guest have not vacated the room. Which is actually the problem of hotel management that they allowed them even after knowing the fact that we have confirmed booking. When we told them that as they gave 2 hr late check out, we will check out 2 hr late...on that they replied saying that we have to pay Thb 900 per room as extra charge...they did not had courtesy to say sorry. If this review goes to hotel owner he has to work tremendously on staff who is working. Also rooms are pathetic...it is nothing less than Brothel rooms. It is very shabby. Basic necessities are missing in this place. If you want mantal noise in your life and want to meet Thailand's worst people do book this hotel or else avoid. If you think this review is paid then I would request you to stay here and read this review again for checking the fact mentioned here.

Since this place is directly on Khaosan (the really loud part with the clubs) we knew it would be loud, but it really was LOUD, lol. It was fine for us since we were just there two nights but we’re a young couple, I’d imagine a lot of people would hate it. Do not stay here with children. You walk directly out into the food stalls so walkability and accessibility to food is great. The rooms are clean but I saw small ants on the dresser, which I get can happen in a tropical climate but still, it was gross. The bathroom/shower was fine, I just wish they provided slippers since the floors are stone but everything else was ok. We didn’t use the tv so I don’t know if it worked. There’s a working fridge and space to hang your clothes on a rail. You need a key card to turn the power on so we asked for an extra one, to keep the ac on for when we’d run down to get food or whatever. The bed was one of those firm mattresses which was very good if you’ve been traveling for a while with a heavy bag, it’s great for your back. There’s a pharmacy right outside with a very knowledgeable and helpful pharmacist there, she was great. Overall the place is fine for a couple of nights but I wouldn’t stay here unless you were specifically coming for the bars/clubs.

  • 2/5 Louie L. 4 months ago on Google
Facilities are ok, but as mentioned in other rooms, it’s so loud. The place is flanked by two night clubs that you’ll hear all the way until 4-6am.

If your dream is to be lulled to sleep by 5 or more DJs battling it out for everyone’s attention on Khao San road, then this is the place for you. Pros: Super affordable Convenient location Lots to eat, see and do Safe Water pressure for shower was great Cons: Very loud There were no hooks in the bathroom

The place in the centre of the most vibing street in Bangkok. It has very nice rooms, comfortable beds and great swimming pool. It can be noisy depending on which room you get. But overall it is a good place.

This hotel is right in the middle of the loud music, when you book a room always ask for floor 6 at the back. I’ve not been here since before Covid outbreak but now they have finished all the building work it’s looking great. Roof top pool is a good place to chill out and relax after a late night out.

  • 3/5 da s. 5 months ago on Google
I guess this place is decent for the price. The rooms are small and relatively noisy. The pool on the roof is great, as is the view. But be advised, Khao San rd. gets as loud as the loudest club you've visited, every night. Not for the faint of heart.

Avoid!! When I checked in I went to pay by card , the machine was all in Thai and the receptionist said it hasn't gone through so I tried again and the same so paid with cash. 3 days later the 2 card payment came out of my bank!! Raised this with the hotel and was told they had no record of it!!!

A pleasant experience despite the noise, the pool is full of sun and the drinks at the bar do everything. You can spend a whole day in peace on the roof. I will come back every time I start and finish the trip.

The taxi can’t bring you up to the hotel because it’s such a busy street. Staff was not very helpful!! We could hear music all night until 5AM. The only good thing was the price.

  • 2/5 Gigen D. 11 months ago on Google
in one week(6 days) they never cleaned our room or gave us paper for toilet, Unbeliveble. I don't reccomend this hotel for families. the only good thing is the rooftop pool, with an amazing view.

  • 4/5 Shronik P. 10 months ago on Google
Perfect central location, had no issues with noise/trying to sleep. The rooftop pool is great to get away from it all and the rooms are comfortable with all the amenities you need.

Located on the Khao San road. The area is a party place with loud music and backpackers thronging the streets. Yet you don't hear the sounds in your room and you can enjoy your sleep. The rooms are small. The roof top pool is nice and open till midnight which is wonderful. The views from the terrace is also nice. Lots of eateries in the vicinity. This place is not close to the metro station.

I have been to more than 70 countries and it has never happened to me in any hotel. The girl at the reception told me that she had to check out until five and we left our bags inside and when we left they made us pay for something we didn't need. The pool was not open and there was no restaurant.

The location of the hotel is good, especially if you are planning tours - there will be no issues with hotel pick-up. The street itself is super loud, however the sound isolation at the room was great, therefore noise did not bother. King bed is great, with soft mattress and pillows. Room was cleaned every second day. Staff was pleasant and helpful. What was wrong - almost no electricity sockets, the only one was near bedside. Could not use shaver as no sockets in the bathroom. There is no shower curtain, therefore water drops everywhere around. The towels could be renewed as well. No cabinet for things in Deluxe King room.

Great place for stay in Bangkok if you look for a party. Whole street changes into one big party at night. This hotel is right in the middle of it. This however doesn't mean it's loud in it. Our room was quiet and well kept. Pool on the roof was a wonderful surprise. Definitely recommended.

Nice place , rooms were modern and clean and bed was super comfy. Although this may vary from room to room you can still hear the music until late. But this is to be expected as you slap bang in the middle of everything. The pool area is perfect for cooling down in the evening. The breakfast was also very good quality with a large selection.

We were cancelled due to COVID-19. Dang derm promised a refund of oud booking. We never received anything. Never again!

  • 3/5 Loire C. 5 years ago on Google
As a budget hotel it's alright. With minimal supplies-2 bath towels, 2 small bottles of drinking water, coffee and tea. It is actually in the same building of D&D Inn. If you take the bed& breakfast, the breakfast is served in another Dang Derm Hotel, but just across the road at the opposite building. The swimming is good. Staff is so far so good, and friendly. The location is good, for party makers as well as for temple goers. The Khaosan Road is busy and noisy until after midnight but if the room is at the back of the building it is absolutely quiet.

  • 4/5 Abhishek V. 4 years ago on Google
The location was both good and bad. Good that it is on Khao San road and you are in middle of all the action. Bad that it can get noisy if your room is closer to street. For us, we didn't had this issue as our rooms were further back, so didn't hear any noise. Checking in and out was a breeze too. Travelling to and from the property location was pretty easy as well. Air con was fantastic!!

Beautiful hotel, very clean and tidy. The personnel is professional and very friendly. Bed is very comfortable, the rooftop pool is amazing and the breakfast is opposite the hotel and is delicious and good organized. Only downside is that the hotel is on Khoasan road which means you will hear the music till 1/1.30am. If you like to party then its the best location. If you like a more quiet location its a bit too crowded.

  • 3/5 king C. 1 year ago on Google
Fantastic place to stay if u want to party hard all night long, but that wasnt for us the low rating is due to the room. It stunk of damp and was too close to the main road. Definitely room at the back of the hotel! Other than that is rather nice. Great pool!

Suite, beautiful windows, view on the tree, big room, nice bed, nice pool, on the calmer side of kaosan road. Relaxing. Windows are full of pigeon droppings, they must had a shooting contest !

Great location. Rooms are decent size but there was some strange odour in my room, maybe because of the cleaning agent they use. Swimming pool is great bar is good.

When we visited the pool was under reconstruction.. but I think when the pool is ready, it is excellent place to stay! I just hate that there were a lot of scammers around this place.

If your groups looking to be center for partying in kao San road then this one is amazing. I walk down and the party is right there. I loved it here. Staff was nice and the rooms were good for the price. I had a suite that had a balcony overlooking the city and was good. The noise was not bad at all. I slept well. Ask them for rooms away from kao San road. Overall I liked this hotel and would stay again.

Good place to stay in case u want to party hard all night, but that wasnt for us, the low rating is due to the room and service. The room was super bad. Worth its money but are you ready to stay in the place where: - When you re sleeping - you re jumping in your bed because of vibration from the outside music - stuff was also bad, the long queue in the lobby, stuff was ignoring us but in the same time was laughing with the others - there was a strong smell from the canalization - the hotel is so old and it’s equipped with very old furniture + the outside vibration party had ended up at 3 am so we could sleep the rest of the night

  • 4/5 Azmir H. 1 year ago on Google
Good hotel is good for short visit. Room is old. There was coffee sachet given but no way to warm the water, no kettle or anything. Room is small. Other than all good. Stuff are nice, location is great.

    1. When we came to the hotel we were given a room and SOMEONE ELSE was inside. 2. They apologized and gave us another room which smelled like hell. 3. After we got to the room I tried calling to the reception for WI-FI password and found out the phone in the room wasn’t working so I called from my own phone and they didn’t understand my English so they hang up in my face 3 times. 4. Wi-Fi is bad. 5. No cleaning room service 6. Toilets in the lobby are super dirty and cost money to use. I WOULD RATE IT 0 STARS IF IT WAS POSSIBLE

  • 4/5 Verity M. 1 year ago on Google
Perfect central location, had no issues with noise/trying to sleep. The rooftop pool is great to get away from it all and the rooms are comfortable with all the amenities you need. Would recommend and would stay here again for a short stay

Located centrally on Khaosan rd, so your in the hysterical buzz right away when leaving the hotel. However the room was quiet. This might be different if your room is located more towards the front of the building. Stayed here over a decade ago too but the hotel is completely renovated now. The staff is really nice and professional. The rooftop pool is great and gives you really the best view possible, looking over the grand palace! Good room amenities and daily cleaning. The shower is really good with plenty of water.

  • 1/5 Luluberlu 3 months ago on Google • 2 reviews New
The worst hotel I visited in Thailand. Booked for 2 nights we left after the first. Music in the street with the bass until 4am. The housekeepers screaming all morning in the corridor. we did not sleep all night. No windows as is not mentioned at the booking. The rooms are dirty and the bed linen yellowed. The drain from the shower was blocked and water was flowing into the bathroom The furniture is damaged and old. When we left early, we reported all this to the reception who clearly did not care. She told us to put a bad review on Google, which I do! Run away from this address! You can find better for the same price!
