We had a comfortable room with a fairly nice city view. We had plenty of space - I was able to do yoga in the room. The bed was large. The staff who cleaned our room each day did an excellent job. Our towels were replaced frequently. They were respectful when we hung our privacy sign. The pool area was nice. We enjoyed swimming at sunset and then looking at the sky from the sunbeds. However, the reception staff were a little odd. They essentially pretended we didn't exist and when we needed to check in and check out they were fairly grumpy. The room also had a strong smell of artificial orange cleaning product, which was even stronger in the corridors. We got used to it after a day. It was a shame that the sauna wasn't working.

Found this room very quick and spent 4 nights here. There are few pro and cons about this accommodation : First, the location is pretty near with Lumpini train stations and quiet centre. You can access and connect to many destinations easily. My main destinations was Embassy of Indonesia located in Phetchaburi. So its just perfect! Second, we came 2,5 hours earlier than their check in time but they let us not to wait longer, we got our room in around 1pm instead of 2. The lobby is very convenient too to relax a bit. The room has slightly a moldy smell first time you enter the room. And their building looks so old. But the air conditioner was good so you still have a circulation and others equipments in the room works very well. Thereโ€™s a basic gym you can use. And the pool isnโ€™t as big as on photos anyway ๐Ÿ˜… If you get excited by what they told you about Sauna facilities. Better dont! it doesnโ€™t exist anymore. (Yes, we got so disappointed too) Anyway, the room attendant clean our room everyday (without even asked). We were out and later found our room was cleaned by them. So overall, even theyโ€™re old buildings but i still like how they keep maintaining the place to always clean. So now the choice is yours :)

The hotel itself is a bit dated and had issues with the wifi In first room and water pressure in second room. But I will say this is my type of hotel, not overly busy, lobby is quiet for coming and going, but the rooftop pool is so chill atmosphere, right away I made several friends from different countries and we would meet up for drinks on the roof each day.

Well located for a visit to Bangkok. Older hotel, but covers most of the bases. Great buffet breakfast. Very close to Lumpinee Park.

The place is old but still one of the best budget hotels. Clean and with lots of amenities. Itโ€™s just the old lady in the reception is kinda rude and stiff. Hope sheโ€™s more accommodating and smiling.

Compared with my stay there 3 years ago, the hotel got worse, but it is still a good choice It smelled bad in our room and there was no hot water. The receptionist allowed us to change the room, but there was still no warm water. The location was great. The blue MRT line (Metro) is very close and brings you directly to the main sightseeing spots. The breakfast is on the roof top and was very great.

I stayed here from Nov 10-13 and I must say it is a peaceful, accomodating place if you are in Bangkok for shopping. The breakfast here at the restaurant is not bad too!

Location wise it's a good choice to stay. Old but big hotel having 15 floors. Breakfast was excellent with great variety of food. Rooms are good but not spacious. You can reach any famous location from here in no time. Nearby Lumpini MRT station is a win win in Bangkok traffic. Suitable for families. Safe property.

The rooms were good and were able to get connecting rooms with friend. Service was good, breakfast ok but not great. Location is on a busy street corner with bad but doable walking to each direction but could be better. Fast location for taxi connection etc.

Real value for money. Great location for Sky Train and MTR. Super breakfast buffet. Friendly and helpful staff especially front desk staff. Jimmy First is a great facilitator and can get the lowest room rate.

The room was large, clean and had a nice comfy bed. Hotel itself was spotless and the staff were efficient and friendly. Pool is quite small and shallow but enough for a swim and there are lots of sun loungers. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that they had birds at the entrance with their wings clipped which is a very cruel practice.

Have stayed many times and been impressed. This time I stayed in a newly renovated room. The room is very beautiful. Good location near the subway. The breakfast is very delicious.

The hotel is close to the Embassies. I found it best to use a motorbike taxi as the drivers were more sure of where they were going & charge less than regular taxis. The rooms are clean and well appointed 2 restaurants - one for breakfast only . Staff friendly, but the wifi could do with improving. Reasonably priced and worth a visit .

staff friendly, room to a good standard. My price included breakfast. Only thing I would say who is wrong with that was no bacon. The swim pool area and the gym all sufficient itโ€™s very disappointing that the sauna and steam room were not available for use.

Back here again. Good new room. For this price, I cannot find room like this anywhere in this area. The furnitures are all new. Bed is comfortable. Lobby is nice and big. Overall, the hotel is doing a lot of improvements and I can see it every time Iโ€™m back here.

Although the hotel is old, the rooms are spacious and clean. It is close to the MRT and 8 minutes' walk away, which is convenient for travel. But the lobby smells and the corridor carpet is dirty and musty, it's time for renovation and replacement!

First time visitor to Bangkok: Pros: somewhat good location Housekeeping staff very helpful and nice Cons: -Very very dated room -one outlet in room (aside from bathroom) -Front desk staff not very friendly -No electronic room key. Itโ€™s literally a key and they only give you 1. I have to ask front desk to open the door for me -insert to turn on electricity in room (attached to the room key)is not typical size, so cannot use a credit card size card to turn on room if someone were to take the key You get what you pay for. With over 20 million visitors to Bangkok yearly, I am sure I couldโ€™ve gotten something way better.

Hotel cancelled my reservation the day before my check in! I've stayed many times, an d loved the breakfast buffet, but now the buffet is much smaller, I think not enough customers

Well, this must be the cheapest place compares to other hotels around. Overall I got what I paid for. Besides these mandatory services I just helped myself. For those who would stay here only for necessarily weekend business. It's good to go.

Im staying here since 20years. Now the starting to renovate floor by floor. The should improve the pool-area and reopen the bar there. Breakfast more Asian-style, but okay. Just a 5minutes walk to MRT LUMPINI

**Disclaimer: Review is subject to my own personal experience. Your experience may vary** Booked this place last minute and on a whim because we wanted somewhere close to the city centre. Worst mistake ever. Should have read and trusted the multiple 1 star reviews here on google. Itโ€™s an old hotel, and the vibe of the hotel is soooo weird and off. Got assigned to a low floor, the room is dark and had a smell. TV, amenities could not be used, and aircon was old. What was the tipping point for us was the extremely uneasy feeling at night with the knocking and creaking. There were even hammering sounds at an odd hour in the middle of the night. The hotel and room felt โ€œunsafeโ€. We didnโ€™t even stay throughout our night there, decided that inconvenience is far better, booked another hotel and ran off in the middle of the night. Wasted my money on this hotel. Reception was also unfriendly. The only good thing here is the helpful housekeepers. Would I recommend this to other people? Absolutely not. Iโ€™ve never stayed in a place like this before. There are other better, more modern and affordable hotels close to this price point that you can get.

This place is at a great location- close to Lumpini park for exercise and you can take the MRT to many places. I didnโ€™t spend much time at the hotel itself because I was so busy. This place is old fashioned but it had everything I needed. Even a pool and small gym which I didnโ€™t have time to try. I wouldnโ€™t recommend this place for anyone with wheelchairs/mobility problems, strollers, or a lot of luggage because of the brick hilled driveway. And itโ€™s a little hard to find in the dark, so be careful!

The hotel in its prime was definitely a luxurious one. However, those days have passed for quite some time. The rooms/ washrooms are outdated by today's standards. Nevertheless, they were clean, housekeeping was active and rooms were quite clean and comfortable. The location however is perhaps one of the best aspects of the hotel. BTS/Metro stations are not too far away; plenty of eateries around.

*disclaimer subject to own experience only* Pictures are really deceiving, Booked this hotel for the connivence as it was โ€œcloserโ€ to the city centre and the shopping malls and it looked ok. However what was awaited us was utter disappointment and regret. We wanted to save a bit of money and did not heed the one stars reviews which lead to this regrettable decision of my life. Firstly the entire hotel was very creepy and dark, barely any sunlight reach this hotel, even in the lobby it was all dark and has a modly feelings. That should have been the first red flag, secondly the front desk were not helpful at all. The tipping point was the hotel room, it was extremely dark and has an ominous feeling. The tv could not be used, the aircon remote could be dated back to the 1900s, given itโ€™s an old hotel but the room was extremely unkept. The entire room was foreboding even as you step into it, maybe we were superstitious about the happening about the park nearby but we were scared. Scared of sleeping there even for one night when we booked for 3 night. when we came back at night we were unable to be in peace. The light suddenly switched on and off, and there was creaking and the sound of hammering nails from above us, take note that it was pretty late in the night around midnight. We were creeped out and our instincts just told us to get the hell out of there. So we did, we fortified the money that paid for the 3 nights there and we left for another hotel that was further away. It was so extreme that we chose inconvenience over this experience of staying here. So in the end we did not even last a night here, Thar was how unbearable it was. There are better hotels around here for sound the same price or slight more, so do not skimp on ur money like us and book this hotel. Save ur money, time and regrets. Would have given a negative star if I could. This is just from my own experience and disclaimer once again, Subjected to own experiences!!

Extremely clean room (Deluxe). Chill AC. Amenities are great. The location was great for me as I used it for temporary residence just beside my office building. Breakfast was a buffet with various options. 7/11 just around the corner.

Location is great. 5min walk to MRT. Near the main road but tucked in a quiet street. Hotel facilities are old. But for the price, it's okay.

The staff was friendly but not helpful all the time. The drain in the shower was blocked and after i complained a couple of times to the front desk and eventually called the management they sent someone to come fix it. The food in the buffet was great and on the last day of my stay i saw some cockroaches near the bread area under the toaster, but i was just too hungry to care. The hotel is near the subway station and not to far from other sites for tourists. Overall I give a 2 star rating because of the unhelpful staff and the cleanliness.

Stayed here recently for 4 nights. Room was comfortable and quiet, water pressure in the shower was excellent only complaint was the pillows were a bit hard (jeez I'm getting old haha). Staff were friendly, the gym is small but well maintained. I had the buffet breakfast one day, I didn't think it was worth the price, no taste. However, the hotel is good for the price and I'd stay here again.

I was travelling with family, our 2 rooms were fairly clean and in ok condition. Most of the hotel is a bit outdated though. Breakfasts is a pretty large buffet with a good number of alternatives. Nothing too fancy but there is plenty of options to choose from. I did not enjoy the pool area, they made a poor effort in improvising a pool and deck in the top floors. Internet photos overestimate it Pretend there is no pool. Staff is friendly and location has its benefits like a short walk to the train station, convenience stores and street food.

Kinda old, with lack of facilities, broken electricity system, not hot water in shower. Strongly advice against that place especially for quarantine or hospitel isolation!

  • 1/5 Sim 4 years ago on Google
A run down hotel, hot water is not functioning, too hot or cold. If you enjoy breakfast between old men with their young lover boys, this is your place. The staff follows strict rules and can't really help you. Even calling a taxi in the morning is too much to ask. I suggest to avoid and find a better deal.

I did not rent the place personally, but I booked one night for my daughter and her BF, here-below their review: I rented a room with my girlfriend for the night and was greeted with a key that didn't work. After searching around the floor of our room, we managed to find the cleaning staff which gave us a key that did work. On to the topic of cleanliness. I was surprised to see thick dark algae growing all around the bottom of the glass panel that separated the showering section from the sink. The sink itself was also stained with some yellowish spots which made even just looking at it difficult; and to finally wrap it all up, the electric kettle was extremely dirty. Not being the pessimistic person I reached inside to try and rub some of it to figure out if it were just signs of usage or some other removable grit. Well, turns out I was unable to have coffee that morning, as a slight rub was able to loosen the grit that formed around the bottom of the kettle. Not impressed at all the the level of cleanliness. Though thankfully, we only booked for one night. The one thing that the hotel has going for it is definitely its location, as it was in close proximity to many malls and other popular locations in Bangkok.

Breakfast was amazing, a lot of choices for main dishes. Great coffee and pancake. The room is quite antique, but all stuff like towels and sheets were clean and white. Bed and pillows were comfy. The parrots extremely friendly and intelligent

An old fashion hotel. A bit shabby especially the hotel facilities. The condition of the road in front of the hotel still under construction. There are many hotels around the area. The Chinese restaurant located just in front of the hotel.
