Great spot to take a rest from craziness of Chatuchak market. The park location next to the famous market. There are many benches and beautiful grass floors for you to rest you butt. The sound is quite loud since it close to the big road but trust me it nearly bothers you. You will get distracted by plenty of cute squirrels. They are everywhere, many different colors clinging on tress. They usually has something on their hands and the mouth continuously moving and that’s so cute. You should discover the entire park, the deeper you go the more beautiful it displays. Plenty of you Instagramable spot for a cool pictures. People also joking here as well.

Chatuchak Park (Thai: สวนจตุจักร) is a public park in the southwest part of Chatuchak district, Bangkok, Thailand. It is also the name of the Chatuchak Park MRT Station that lies under the park. Its name is the origin name of Chatuchak district. Chatuchak park is one of the oldest public parks in Bangkok. Inside the park there are many varieties of trees and plants in the garden with different themes, flowers courtyard, multipurpose ground, clock tower, Princess Sirindhorn's birthday anniversary garden, sculptures from ASEAN countries, and artificial lake runs along this thin and long park with numerous bridges crossing the lake, as well as inactive train museum. The park suitable for recreational cum exercise activities. Certified guide dogs are allowed in this park. It has an area of 0.304 square kilometres. It was later augmented with Queen Sirikit Park and Wachirabenchathat Park, though they are separated from Chatuchak Park by Kamphang Phet 3 Road. Chatuchak park includes Wachirabenchathat park in the summer (March to April) every year is a time when pink pouis are blooming, especially along the Phaholyothin Road adjacent to the Chatuchak Park MRT Station, causing a picturesque scenery.

I went for a jog here on a weekday evening. It wasn’t crowded at all, you will find some locals going for a jog here after work. I especially loved the night scenery. Lots of interesting landmarks for me to explore and take pictures of. I typically only enjoy going to parks in the evening due to the soaring mercury in Bangkok and the view here did not disappoint. Toilets were okay. Not particularly clean but it’s of an acceptable standard.

Chatuchak park is one of the oldest public parks in Bangkok. It was built on the land formerly owned the State Railway of Thailand (SRT), in dedication to H.M.King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), on the occasion of his 4th cycle (48 years) birthday anniversary on December 5, 1975. H.M.King thus granted the name "Chatuchak" (meaning 4 cycles) to the park. Escape the noise and crowds of the city and relax in the peace of Chatuchak park (entry is free). Walk, jog, exercise , picnic or just chill on the immaculately manicured lawns under the shade of a tree. Toilet facilities available for the disabled.

Amazing park for chilling. I’ll say it again: for chilling. The atmosphere there is calm, relaxing. The views are at all angles are beautiful. There is the big lake within the park. Lots of trees and flowers. Park looks clean, the grass well cut so picnicking is the good idea to do there. This park is placed next to the Chatuchak market, so if you wan to buy some new cheap clothes - yes, you can. Chatuchak market has hundreds of clothing stalls with prices cheaper than a burger in mcdonkey. Nice place to go to with your friends or family, or the little ones who got benefits from you.

I had a great time with my friend at Chatuchak Park. It's a calm and quiet place where you can relax and read. Outside the entrance, you can find some things for sale. It's a great spot for a date with a boyfriend or a friend, or for taking beautiful pictures. You can see birds, fish, and lovely flowers. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit.😍🌸❤️

The most well equiped and confortable sport park in Bangkok so far, but to have all access you need to pay membership card : only 300 a year which is very honest for the service proposed. Also have the best basketball level with nice courts so if you play a bit seriously you need to go there!

After visiting Or Tor Kor market (highly recommended) we stretched our legs in the nearby Chatuchak Park. A very well maintained, quiet big park, it takes approximately 1 hour to walk around. The fauna and flora is absolutely extraordinary beautiful, squirrels, lizards, butterflies... a lot of fish in the lake witch is in the middle of the park. We enjoyed our walk in the park very much

I love the calmness of the park, the many surrounding trees and the made pathways for running and also the cycling paths. It's the best place for a picnic. Moreover, it's close to Chatuchak market which is also another great place to see.

Amazing small park in the center of Bangkok. It's free of charge. I really liked walking around enjoying the fresh air, watching the greenery and skyscrapers behind green views. There are lakes where you can sit by and relax. You could reach there by BTS or MRT Train. It's easy.

A blessed green oasis in a very busy part of the city. Time to rest after the crazy market! Nicely planted and well maintained. Yes there are toilets and not too bad either. The local people relax in groups on their mats, so a good place for a picnic, seems pretty dog friendly, lots being walked.

This is a must visit weekend market for tourist, honesty they have everything here. If you are looking to shop till you drop this is the place. I suggest that you find a map of the market so you can plan your route since it is a very big area, and you will get tired if you visit all, so plan your route so you dont get side tracked or lost in an area you are not interested. And buy some of the local crafts theyre so amazing

Very cheap market where you literally find anything you need. It was so cheap I could not believe it. There is also a wide variety to choose from. Prices are also clearly labelled and easy for foreigners to shop without wondering if they got the best value for money. The pet section was also exciting...some strange animals like snakes etc...all new and made me appreciate cultural diversity. Also easy to get there via sky train. It felt safe to shop there.

This place is a very great park for running or relaxing with friends or family. I used to visit this park to jogging with my family in Saturday morning. The park is green and beautiful and it has a bench all around the park where I can sit and relax while jogging. This park is close to Chatuchak weekend market where people like to walk on the weekend and it also not very far from Central Ladprao. It also very convenience to go there because there are a lot of transportation around the park. highly recommend!

The best park in Bangkok I've seen so far😍 It's huge, unbelievably green, with different kinds of flowers and trees. People are working really hard there to keep that place in the way it is. I liked the bridges and the views. 200% recommended!

An amazing and underrated park. If you go to the entrance next to the BTS train, you can buy food pellets for 10 Baht. Use these pellets to feed the fish and you'll be in for a BIG surprise! Massive catfish and carp. If you're lucky you'll be visited by a curious turtle that will follow you around. If there are any fallen flowers you can feed them to the turtle! Staff are welcoming and friendly!

Very nice park away from the crowds. Magnificent trees, lush vegetation. Ideal for a stimulating walk or a pleasant jog. There are picnic areas and restrooms. As a bonus, this park is connected to the Rot Fai Park, also very pretty and which includes a cycle path (with a bicycle rental counter) and a sports club. The quickest way to get to Chatuchak Park is to take the BTS Mo Chit station or the MRT Chatuchak Park station. Enjoy!

Entry is free, but runing the park must be very expensive... There are moments when there is more workers than visitors... I think the park could be more sustainable, natural and visitors could enjoy it more that way

Very chill park and quite empty on a a Thursday afternoon. Nice lake with trees for shade. Get some food from near by or Tor Kor market (15 min walk) and have a picnic. There’s a lady who will rent you a mat for 20 Baht, well worth it to sit or lay in comfort.

Always my go to park to exercise 😂 Usually I go here on Saturday morning, just walk 1-2x full route, it takes 1,5 - 2 hours. Sunday will be less people than Saturday I think. You can just leave your bag on the bench because they do not have any locker and it's safe (don't leave your valuable things, just in case). They have different season for flowers, it will change from time to time lol. Take MRT until Chatuchak Park, exit 1 (Chatuchak Weekend Market), turn left and the entrance not far from there. Just found they have free water refill, on the left side after the entrance. You can just bring empty bottle from home 👍🏼 *My photo collections since last April 2021

A nice park to chill in Bangkok and located just right next to Chatuchak Weekend Market (the world's biggest flee market)

  • 2/5 Антон . 2 years ago on Google
Not a human friendly place. No drinking fountains, no cafe's, very few shady spots where you can hide from burning sun, so take some water with you. You should leave your personal data (name, phone number) to the staff when you enter. The park is surrounded by a fence and has very few passages, so if you decide that you have already walked enough, you should be ready to walk at least another kilometer to the nearest exit. Park design itself is nice. Vegetation is looking good, everything was clean. Not crowded.

This place is vibrant , busy and so many stalls with many interesting items of good quality and reasonable prices. The vendors are not pushy and pleasant. There are many eating options as well as fresh fruit juices and the best coffee , both hot and cold. If the weather is too hot you can always escape to the mall at the back to cool off in the air-conditioning.
