One of my favourite shopping malls in Bangkok. All holidays are featured here and you can always find what ever you want. This long-standing famous department store welcomed the shoppers for the first time in 1973, and it was the first full-service department store that offers all kinds of products for customers. Presently, Central Chidlom has 7 storeys accommodating both Thai and foreign shoppers with a wide range of quality goods. Some American and European brands are presented in the mall. And...if you started to miss European food you should visit Food Quarter in the Topsmarket on the ground floor. There is an international buffet at the place.

My all time favorite shopping mall in Bangkok. This is an upscale shopping mall. If you want to buy a quality product, you can pay a visit here. Before Covid, this ball was full of new products and new designs. Today I visited this mall. Unfortunately I think Covid has affected all the shopping malls. This one was very busy but today I found, the smallest not busy like before. The products are also less, than I saw before. On the top floor they have a food court, you can have delicious food there. There are seven levels. Maybe one more, I forgot to count. If you haven't visited this mall, you should. But the price is a bit higher compared to any other surrounding malls.

Just average. Prices a tad higher. No offer or promotions currently. Service staff attentive but lack communication skills.

I visited this mall in December 2023 and most of it is under renovation. It has a central department store with a nice collection of shoes, clothes, sun glasses etc. There is a direct entry to bts and you can also directly go to Central Embassy mall.

Everything you need in a modern and spacious mall. Several floors so there is something for everybody. A large food store on the bottom floor with a large selection of fresh fruit and fresh meat. On the ground floor there is also a good sized court and several bakeries and cake shops. Definitely worth a visit.

It's luxurious.

Accidentally, after I caught a wrong bus this morning I found myself right front of Central Chidlom, in Bangkok downtown. So, I decided to walk inside and look at what they have in the store. I went from one floor to another until I reached sixth floor. I was stunned when I saw thousands of books on display in a beautiful unique way. Some of the books were in Thai language and the others were in English. Nearly have of the sixth floor were designated for selling the books and stationary to the customers for resnoble price. I was really so impressed to see the management of Central Chidlom is trying hard to make the public aware about the importance of the books and reading because the more we increase our knowledge the more our success in life become greater. It wasn't only the sixth floor which impressed me a lot but also every other floor was so impressive with top quality goods, lovely displays, in addition to the friendly staff and highly professional customers service with smile . without tourists Central Chidlom was such a nice place for shopping (oh sorry for the staff). today we came for the Christmas decoration ideas. Central Chidlom perhaps has the best varieties of items in town, among premium department stores or even among other Central stores. all Made in China of course, some choices are quite fancy, and first come first serve till stock last !

I ordered chicken and bake spinach with mash potatoes. My hubby ordered crispy PATA. He likes it because it is so tender. He like the sets of ribs too. I paid 700 baht. We came here by car and park car parked. The location is along Sukhumvit access to bts skytrain.

Expensive but one can get most brands under one roof. The stationery section is amazing. Most of the brands dont carry a lot of sizes. Camper was one such brand. Whatever I liked, didn't have size. Food hall ground floor is nice. Has Paul's too. supermarket is ok too. food court on the top floor average,was better before. Next to it is the biggest Muji wonderful items at Muji with a nice coffee shop

Love it, everything is original and they can give you discount if you ask for it (5%-10%)

One of my favorite shopping mall since childhood. This one is better than another Central, may be because it was recently renovated some part of it. I seem to find everything I wanted here, not only clothes, cosmetic but nice furniture, or flowers and many other things. Food court is also better and more welcoming than other places. Good location and car park.

The original one of Central Group in Thailand. Many thing to shop and easy to come.

Far smaller and compact than expected. More of a department store squeezed into that single building with no natural lighting and a claustrophobic dingy feel. On a positive note the foodhall had some excellent produce and eateries that appeared very popular and busy, although their produce doesn't quite compare with iconsiam. Might be worth a quick look if on your way but don't make a special trip, not worth it.

Went looking for a Seiko watch. They had a decent collection and I made a choice. The salesman made sure I was aware of a sale taking place and made sure I was able to take advantage of another coupon for the watch. He also accompanied me upstairs to insure that I got VAT paperwork. Good service and I got a great deal.

Majority of the mall under renovations. Some sections are still open. Overall pleasant shopping place with less human traffic.

It's very spacious

Very good place for shopping but going under renovation for a long time now. Even in October they were having renovation. New decorations r very good. Some new parts r open now. Once complete it will surely look fabulous.

It is a department store with a wide variety of quality products at high prices. A large location. Easy to get to by BTS Skytrain.

I like Central Chitlom and everything is great there but last time I went there to repair my MIDO watch at MIDO shop. The woman staff at MIDO shop is not polite at all (The way she talk is rude) and she also made a lot of mistakes. I don't know who to complain for this either to MIDO or Central group. If this woman gets trained to talk politely then, it would be much better.

Ang Morr is one of a number of well-known Bangkok restaurants that have opened up in this new food space. While most of these new places look to be worth exploring, I was disappointed by the service and food at Ang Morr. The starters arrived after the mains and none of the dishes were worthy of Ang Morr's original reputation.

New arrival

Almost the oldest department store in Bangkok but still trendy and fabulous

Probably one of my favorite places to relax. The food court on the first floor has some very fine restaurants (including a Four Seasons outlet). The supermarket contains items from all over and is kept in great condition. The top floor also has a food court, but is in a different atmosphere. Basically it’s a relaxing lounge with good music. In between those floors, there are various things to shop and look at. I come here quite often (sometimes Chidlom, sometimes Embassy).

A lovely place to walk, shop and eat

Upmarket department store with top end western brands. The food hall is excellent with a huge choice of local and international products. Hot and cold food stations were well stocked when I visited at 5pm on a Saturday. My only slight gripe was the till area as seemed a bit chaotic and is very small. Self service machines are very sensitive and if you double scan by mistake, you have to start all over...

Been the Flagship of Central Group I would expect tip top experience and customer service - but instead is full of Union and careless employees. Almost impossible to get an answer in English and they would rather disappear rather then answer you! Fish section it’s sooo old and very stinky. Quality of products it’s very average and not fresh at all! Again staff its rather busy with their phones instead to care about your needs! Another classic sample of how a Big Asset like Central, can build and buy everything, except loyal people! Go to Emporium or Paragon you will get much better quality served with the very much liked & genuine Thai Smile!

The Lofter food court dining area has a great view of nearby skyscrapers.

Nice department store. Still some renovations going on but they are improving the facilities. Nice new eateries on the second floor, good quality supermarket and comprehensive chemist available.

A small but very good mall. It’s well connected (BTS) and has decent parking. The Tops supermarket in the basement is excellent and the food court on the top floor has a good selection and some nice big windows and views. It’s definitely one of my favorite malls in Bangkok.

A department store that seems to have lost its identity a little. This was once my favourite Central by far - elegant, with a nice, spacious layout and calm feel for quality shopping. My visit today gave a very different experience. The outside of the store (on Chid Lom Rd) is confusing - at first I thought they had closed down and become something completely different, is it an Indian cinema or a Middle Eastern carpet warehouse? No clear signage, just guesswork. Inside was somewhat the same, but seemed to have lost it's theme - I'm a mature customer, so maybe it's just me. Maybe it's just aiming for young customers who want a mixed up, funky music feel, but I prefer something calmer, more coherent when I'm about to spend decent money on quality products. The quality products were still there but the staff (towels and bedding dept) seemed more manipulative than helpful. It could have been a language barrier problem but my Thai wife had the same impression. Pity. This Central used to be a fun shopping experience, maybe it's just in transition or I'm becoming too old for it.

Nice place for shopping n Living item, with a great supermarket for consumer product especilly for Food & Grocery, this place is remarkable.

We have used good services from Central Chidlom for more than thirty years.

Variety of good things, food . Parking space is limited.

Classic... Superior..wonderful environment.. Love the central eatery.. They have good food. With goos prices.. Except for the four season booth which is crazy....

BEST PROMOTION AT FOOD HALL

A mall with mid level to designer stores. You can spend a full day here shopping or window shopping. The food court provides for adequate choices of meals. A must visit for the Bangkok shopping experience.

One of My Favorite Shopping Malls Their Food court has changed and food is yum

It is a must stop. Has everything from apparel to home decor to toys, gadgets, shoes etc. The food level has amazing dishes. It is very convenient to get to & also has a VAT refund form processing centre in the building. Don't forget to get them stamped at the end of the day after shopping.

This is a great mall with lots of options from luggage to food you can’t go wrong spending the day here highly recommended definitely worth a visit if you are in the area

Central Chidlom (1973) 1. Central Chidlom is a large department store located in Bangkok. 2. Inner atmosphere There are not many open areas. (There is an escalator hall), but not very uncomfortable. enjoy walking There is a walkway connected to the sky train on the third floor. 3. It is the flagship branch of Central Therefore, there are more products such as luxury items compared to other CDS stores. It's a good place to actually shop. ** There is no plaza zone like other branches.

Poor parking services, somewhat weird reason, the priority parking area isn t for elderly, but just for kids and some normal people, my mom is 70 years old need to park at somewhat mezzanine floor.

Easily accessible from Chidlom BTS station, huge department store with 4-5 floors, including a big kids and infants department. don't miss the huge supermarket downstairs.
