Wang Lang Market. Popular w local. selling food, snacks, fruits, clothing, shoes etc. Cater mostly for the local Thai people's taste n preference. U can take the ferry fr Sathorn pier to Wang Lang market for 20 baht on a 30 minutes ride w river view of old houses, government buildings, temples n big hotels. Best way to experience the Old Thai charm.

A must visit if you don’t want to go to the big weekend market and like it a bit more raw. When we were here, we were the only not Thai people here. Which made it a great experience, a lot of good street food to and a lot of nice souvenirs to! Not your typical standard souvenirs, but still really good.

The large open air local market with variety of Thai food, snacks, medication and various goodies at affordable prices just right next to the Prannok / Wanglang piers and adjacent Siriraj Hospital. Major customers for this market are local staff, patients and those working for Siriraj hospital as well as students from nearby universities including Thammasat, Silpakorn and Mahidol. The market opens from early morning around 6am until around 8pm every day. It’s worth browsing and looking around even if you don’t plan to buy anything.

I wouldn't go out of my way for this market personally, especially if you're a tourist. Lots of stalls selling clothes catering to the Thai customer and the food stalls don't have any English descriptions, so if you're not comfortable guessing what you're ordering then you're in the wrong place (or download a translation app, that helps). No stalls selling souvenir-like items. Just 1 long alley, that's it.

If you're traveller not a tourist, this place is a must visit. Not the typical tourist market catering towards foreigners, Wang Lang market is geared towards locals. Loads of good street food, snacks and other clothing and curios are also on offer at prices which are generally lower than central Bangkok. It also has a great local atmosphere as you walk through the narrow streets.

Very nice local market, not much tourists 😁 Good price and a lot of local food. You can cross the river for 5 baht from pier behind the university/close to Arno's restaurant (see my recommendation for this restaurant too). Visit here at market the Sawong coffee, little bit hidden - but very good location as well - a must have to see.

Love the food at this market with so many options. Easy to get here by boat. Very few tourists here and I prefer it to Chatuchok. If you like good Thai street food, don't miss this market. I wish I could find a food guide because it's hard to choose.

I would like to introduce a cheapest drug store in Bangkok which you can save your money. I had compared the price of Q-10 and bought here. If you buy more than THB5,000 within 1 month. You will become the member & get discount.

Excellent market! I love the varieties of stalls and shops around here. Not forgetting the second hand stalls that carry clothing, bags and shoes. Excellent choices!

A very large market with many shops and shops. From shoes to shirts and trousers, you can find everything you want here. Even culinary delights are on offer here. The narrow alleys make this market a special experience.

Netty. Was. Here. Great day open air markets with lots of food stalls and shopping. Easy to get to by ferry (30baht single trip 150baht all day for Hop On/Hop off boat or 16Baht for express boat - one way) try not to let your operators take over your day down at the Central Sathorn by getting you to book tours. It’s simple to wander around and figure this out on your own.w

Good market with excellent food options. Located just behind the Phran Nok pier for easy access via the Chao Phraya express boat. Alternatively you can take a moderate walk from the area behind Wat Arun to make the journey more interesting. Otherwise, busses and sonthaew leave from behind Wat Arun in the right direction.

Very walkable and pleasant place to visit. A bit cleaner than other local market, and there are some hidden cafes to enjoy riverside view.

A local street market opposite Siriraj hospital and near Wanglung pier, I came to buy deep fried fishballs skewers and other street food. Cheap & fun to walk around.

Street food and restaurants options. A few restaurants are next to the Chao Phraya River with a view of the Grand Palace, Temple of Dawn, Phra Pinklao Bridge, and Rama 8 Bridge. Restaurants by river will be more expensive, othereise local prices for food and things. Various vendors and things to buy, maybe not tourist souvenirs. Good place to try different local foods and snacks. Siriraj and one of the most famous hospitals in Thailand and they have a medical museum open to the public. Not too far from the Thonburi Train Station going to Nakhorn Pathom and Kanchanaburi, southern route.

Not too busy even on a Saturday, nice atmosphere for ambling. You can get here by boat (Tha Wang Lang/Pranok). Plenty of food stalls, dine in or take aways. Cheap clothes, footwear and accessories

Wang Lang market Street foods at corridor and alleyway. Make it difficult to walk. Inside is better. Very hot and we sweat perfusely. It was not a pleasant shopping. All street foods are similar to other markets. There are stalls selling clothes, gifts and many others. Nothing exciting except the pier and river.

This was a fantastic mixed market, with great selections of clothes, shoes, and jewelry. There are plenty of food and drink on offer. The market is really worth a wonder and you be amazed with what you can find. Just next the pier and easy to access plenty a great foods to explore and try

It is a good place to visit to experience local life. This market compared to most mainstream markets like chatuchak have significantly less tourist. The price is also a lot cheaper! One packet of grilled banana cost 30 baht! One box of Pandan leaf cake cost the same amount too! If you are around Chinatown area or grand palace. I would highly recommend visiting this place during the morning or afternoon.

Larger than expected and gets very crowded during the lunch time hour. A fair amount of food vendors scattered around. You can find a random massage parlor also. A good mix of everything from clothes to food. A bit disorienting when you first walk through from the pier. It's really the only attraction in this part of the city (Siriraj).

If you like streetfood and authentic experiences, this is a must visit in Bangkok! So much food to try at reasonable prices and feels more authentic than Yao Wrat in my opinion. Not a touristy market at all.

True local market, very easy to get to via the ferry. Loads of fresh street food, relaxed pace. There is a second hand section for jeans, tshirts, shoes, bags, and it wasn't hard to get large and xlarge. My daughter was amazed to get two virtually new leather bags for bht100 each and vintage t-shirts starting bht80. It's a large, spread out market but not mind boggling like Chatuchuk, and that's good!

Busy... very busy.. so mask up. The nearby nurse's training faculty clearly a supporter for this market .. food and lady's wear appears to be the predominant theme all round. Narrow allies.. scooters and people all competing for the same right of way. Uneven surfaces and somehow the sun hitting the ally perfectly on a 180 degree access (24Feb) makes sunglasses a must have. Happy munching.

Overall food is good. Basically the place that keep medical personnels' stormach around that area full. A little bit crowded in the morning and evening. I might write the review about recommended shop later on when I go there again. Usually you can just aim for the shop with many people in line. Hope ya all have a nice meal/food there.
