Lots of Japanese inspired vegetarian food, fake meat dishes. Menu looks like meat menu, but turns out its all vegetarian imitations of meat. Quite good, interesting options. I had two dishes and tea - 350 THB, so obviously not cheap street food, but reasonable still. It's inside a property, not on the main road, just look for the red balloons. *Edit 2022: the 70 years old owner lady is running the shop since 17 years. She swears on Japanese ingredients and she developed all her food herself. I am still, again and again, stunned by how close the dishes resemble meat dishes and yet, they are all vegetarian. I soooo much wish this small, super excellent shop to thrive. She cooks with her heart, with genius and with passion. And while the place looks like an average Thai-Chinese restaurant, don't be fooled: it's not! It's one of the best vegetarian places I know. And it doesn't cost you the world. Ask the owner lady for recommendations, I followed and it was all worth it.

I'm from Los Angeles and I like to use the Michelin list to choose restaurants. I have to be real. The quality of the vegan substitutes here, especially for the sushi, would have at least gotten them on the list in California. It was excellent. Really unexpectedly good.. I was pretty astounded that such a hard to find place was so talented. I even ordered more to take to go. Top notch.

What an amazing menu! Everything is delicious, even for a meat lover you wouldn't know actually everything is vegan! Service very good-looking presentation was fantastic and outstanding value for money.

I wish I found Chijuya sooner, the best vegetarian sit down meal I’ve had in years! Really nice owners and chill vibes. Vegetarian Sushi, noodles, stir frieds and so much more. All yummy.

I am a vegetarian living in Thailand. Of all vegan foods, Japanese is hardest to find and I couldn't make it on my own. Only during the vegan festival each year that you can dine in Japanese food chain restaurants and it lasts only a week or so. Having found this place then is a dream come true to me 🥰 I ordered a Bento set , mixed tempura, and avocado sushi (one of the restaurant's must try). Decent food amount and extremely good taste. Most ingredients were not from big instant vegan brands. They were more homemade -- a taste different from what I normally found. I was definitely one very happy customer 😋❤

I had a lovely meal at Chijuya. The food was really tasty, and the owners welcoming and kind. The sushi was really tasty, and the wasabi the best I've ever eaten! It's tucked away, and looks unassuming from the outside, but don't let that put you off!

A little shop house that's been converted into a restaurant. Decent food for the price. We liked the fish and the sushi was acceptable.

Fabulous vegan/vegetarian options at this hole in the wall restaurant near the water. There was various sushi-like options as well as a delicious “angel hair seaweed” soup that had ?radishes and mushrooms in it and was absolutely delightful. Lots of options to choose from, menus in English and Thai.

Amazing hidden gem. Not easy to find as tucked behind China town on river. Location is small Quay on river which has Vespa Moped Museum. Small unassuming cafe. We simply jumped in a taxi to get there. Food is amazing, see pictures. I am not a vegetarian so this was for my wife, who is vegetarian, but even I was amazed by the flavours! We went back two days later. Both times we visited at lunchtime and we were the only customers. The cafe is owned by a lovely old gentleman and he was amazed when I was showing him on-line reviews and pictures. 100% recommend you try this lovely place.

It took a while to find this place tucked away in a corner. However worth the search and walk. The vegan sushi is amazing and I would recommend any vegan to try it. Good size and portions.

Small place by the river in the heart of Chinatown. Very modest decor and ambience, but food is really great and prices are very reasonable

Although there was some good food, some of it wasn’t and the super long wait to get served was ridiculous and unreasonable. The guy who runs it is really nice, but also really overwhelmed and not fully capable of doing what needs to be done.

From the outside it doesn’t look attractive but don’t hesitate to step in! Cheap and good, we had taro and avocado sushi, yummi! The steak was also tasty.

Nice food and friendly owner. Good portion size and tasty, but average food. I enjoyed my vegan crispy prawn. Not the nicest setting, but it’ll do the job and it is worth the walk from Chinatown.

Very good vegan Japanese/Chinese selections. Fresh ingredients. I love their sizzling hot pan, sushi, and tempura. It's also an easy walking distance from Chinatown, and you can relax with the river view outside of the restaurant.

👍👍 Really enjoyed the rolled noodles with crispy pork. First time trying this kind of noodle and I really like it. Never seen these before too. The pork skin was super crispy and the pork was tender. The soup was flavorful but pretty garlicky. They serve the food really fast here. Perfect if you need a...

😐 Tried out this super crowded place in Chinatown. The place is always packed during dinner time, but luckily today managed to get a spot.
