Went to this restaurant for dinner where I was staying in this aparthotel too. Food served are Halal and alcohol are served too. I ordered Lamb Briyani for mains, Tandoori chicken for sides and Gulab Jamun for dessert. At first, when i tried the briyani it tasted really bland, I guess they wanted to appease the local tastebuds. Then I asked one of the staff to make it more spicy. The staff took it back and modified it again and was served. Then it tasted really good. Briyani must be cooked with loads of spices and herbs. The tandoori chicken was juicy and delicious as well. For dessert, the Gulab Jamun was warm and served with pistachio kulfi. Both combination turned out to be superb and really went well. This restaurant is a must go if you wanna have an intimate/romantic dinner with your other half or friends. The ambience and atmosphere of this restaurant is really good. Was recommended to go to their rooftop bar on the 32nd floor but I was too full. Came back to this restaurant for breakfast buffets next 2 days. Although there isn't much varieties, but the restaurant definitely make it up of quality foods on display. There's omelette station and mostly are Indian food.

Amazing food - Would highly recommend it- The service was impeccable, really great attention by the staff. The setting is beautiful - nice interior. If I had to pick my favourite dish, it would be the Chicken Tandoori, prawns and vegetable rice. Ps: if you are looking for calmness, this isn't the right place for you, as it was a bit loud and crowded.

The reservation lady's English was difficult to understand, but luckily the restaurant was empty when we arrived. The atmosphere was nice albeit a bit dark. The service was efficient, waiters spoke good English. The cocktails were simple but good without being excellent. We ordered a meat platter, the meat was juicy and tender, but it lacked the authentic typical Indian aroma I was expecting. The restaurant is overall good and worths a visit

I attended their DEWALI 4-5 Nov 2021 celebration with DINNER SET MENU 1300++ Vegetalian and 1100++ non vegetalian excluding drinks. I love and enjoyed their special activities given which was seeing Indian dance show and written Mahindi (Hanna) on hand. Foods are really nice but come with pricing ๐Ÿ˜Š Place is clean. It was full of people here on Friday night lucky I was reserved my table in advance. Staffs are nice and active but serving speed is quite taking time might be because of many people which is understandable. Overall this place is really great for entertain eating, party with friends or bring your VIP here. It locate on 5th floor same as swimming pool. Their advantage dine-in is indoor and outdoor. It is very great place to CELEBRATE any of your event here !!!! ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’• Hope to return here again to try big nan and others special dishes that I've missed this time. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Really fantastic and authentic northern Indian food. Especially liked the grilled fish and naan. My friends also enjoyed the lamb very much. Ended up ordering a second portion. We went on a Friday evening and the restaurant was not that full around 7pm. It quickly filled up by 8.30-9pm. Would recommend to make a reservation in advance. Would I eat there again? You bet.

Great luxury Indian food with nice staff especially Gerald. Thereโ€™s Gluten free choices as well, i got butter chicken and vegetables biryani (originally its not gluten free) but Geralds explained to the chef and he made sure that itโ€™s gluten free. The food was delicious and the staff are very welcoming, almost 3 different staff members were checking on us to make sure that we are enjoying our food. The only downside is the prices, it was a bit overpriced but the hospitality makes up for it. I highly recommend this restaurant, and if you get the chance it meet Gerald your experience will get 10 times better.

An Enchanting Culinary Journey at Charcoal Grill Mixology: A True Indian Delight Charcoal Grill Mixology is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Bangkok, offering an unforgettable dining experience that merges the art of mixology with the tantalizing flavors of Indian cuisine. My recent visit to this restaurant left me in awe, from the delightful mix grill platter to the mouthwatering keema tacos. This culinary adventure was truly an experience worth cherishing. As soon as I stepped inside Charcoal Grill Mixology, I was greeted by the warm ambiance and attentive staff, setting the tone for an exceptional evening. The restaurant's elegant decor perfectly complemented the vibrant atmosphere, making it an ideal place for both intimate gatherings and celebratory occasions. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the mix grill platter. Bursting with aromatic spices, succulent meats, and an array of flavors, it was a carnivorous paradise. Each kebab was cooked to perfection, with tender cuts of chicken, lamb, and beef, infused with the distinct smoky essence that only a charcoal grill can provide. The impeccable presentation showcased the chef's dedication to both taste and aesthetics. The surprise addition to my meal, the keema tacos, were a delightful fusion of Indian and Mexican flavors. The perfectly spiced minced meat combined harmoniously with the crisp taco shells, creating a tantalizing medley of textures and tastes. This innovative twist on traditional Indian cuisine truly showcased the restaurant's commitment to culinary creativity. The mixology aspect of Charcoal Grill Mixology was equally impressive. The expert mixologists crafted cocktails that were a sheer delight to the senses. The menu featured a wide range of innovative concoctions, each carefully designed to complement the bold flavors of the food. The bartender's skillful techniques and attention to detail transformed ordinary ingredients into extraordinary libations. In addition to the exceptional food and drinks, the service at Charcoal Grill Mixology was impeccable. The staff exhibited an in-depth knowledge of the menu, guiding me through the selection with their helpful suggestions. Their warmth and attentiveness added an extra layer of comfort to my dining experience, ensuring that every need was met with a smile. All in all, Charcoal Grill Mixology is a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts seeking a delightful blend of Indian cuisine and mixology in Bangkok. The remarkable mix grill platter and the ingenious keema tacos are testaments to the chef's culinary prowess. Combined with the inviting atmosphere and impeccable service, this restaurant offers a five-star experience that will leave you craving more.

Food was average. Very expensive. We were 4pp, ordered 1-2 alcoholic drinks per person, had a mix grill starter and for mains chicken masala, cauliflower, briyani, quasidilla and naan. We paid 8000 thb. Way too expensive. Will not come again. Dance performance was not bad though. Kudos to the two girls.

Yum yum yum! I loved everything about this place. The food is fabulous, couldnโ€™t pick one specific dish that was the best as they were all great. Loved the roti, the kebab, the dal โ€ฆ all yummy. Super helpful service staff. Highly recommend!

Visited the place but found the quality of tandoori Aloo was not upto the mark. The same was flat and tasteless and no aroma of charcoal. Being usp of tandoori items this was not at all expected. The portion size for tandoori items is quite less but the main course had a great quality. The lacha paratha was burnt from back wherein the tandoori roti was ok.Dal makhan was out of the world and paneer khurchan was just ok.Would suggest to work on the food part as a customer comes with great expectations seeing the brand name.

Charcoal Tandoor Grill is an excellent Indian restaurant located in Bangkok that offers a unique dining experience. The restaurant is known for its authentic Indian cuisine, especially the dishes cooked in a traditional tandoor oven using charcoal, which imparts a smoky flavor to the food. The restaurant has a modern and elegant interior with comfortable seating arrangements. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with soft lighting that creates a cozy atmosphere. The restaurant also has an outdoor seating area where guests can enjoy their meals while taking in the bustling city views. The highlight of the menu is the tandoor dishes, which are cooked to perfection in the charcoal oven. The chicken and lamb kebabs are juicy and flavorful, and the naan bread is soft and pillowy. The restaurant also offers a selection of desserts, including the classic Indian dessert, Gulab Jamun. Overall, Charcoal Tandoor Grill is an excellent Indian restaurant in Bangkok, offering delicious food, a cozy ambiance, and exceptional service. It's definitely worth a visit for anyone who loves Indian cuisine or is looking for a unique dining experience in the city.

Simply exceptional! Easily the best tandoor experience Iโ€™ve had anywhere! Starting from the courteous staff to the knowledgeable waiting staff, the whole experience was perfect. We ordered the meat and seafood platter and each item on the platter were outstanding. Perfectly grilled, optimally seasoned and the right amount of spice combined with tender and juicy portions. The addition of the dal made everything come together brilliantly! The complimentary cake was a nice touch as well. Highly recommended and a must visit if you are in the area and looking for top notch Indian food

When I do reviews, it's always for a purpose. Charcoal Tandoor Grill and Mixology is a true AAA (service, food, and atmosphere) experience. Over the last two weeks, I've traveled from America to Turkey, to Singapore, Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Chiang Mai, and now Bangkok. Out of an these countries and cities, this place was the first to provide me a meal I truly enjoyed and wanted to come back immediately. The amazing aroma of the tandoor grill as we exit off the elevator onto the 5th floor, as the hostess warmly greeted us was the first indication of the quality and treat to come. All of our waiters and waitresses were phenomenal and attentive and kind. Every person had a genuine vibe, and especially Mac who took the time to explain the dishes as they came out. It was great learning about each dish and the ingredients, and I enjoyed our brief conversations about the various ingredients that made each dish. We tried the fresh juices (pineapple and watermelon) first and they were cold pressed, chilled in a bronze flask with ice. Then we ordered our food: lamb chops, chicken tandoori, flaky naan, two signature drinks (Indian old fashioned and The Negroni), basmati rice, chicken curry, and a dessert similar to gulab jamun but not as sweet, and had spices like cardamom and others. Each dish was perfectly presented, and PERFECTLY flavored. It was almost as if each dish that came out was better than the last, culminating into a transcendent foodie experience. At the very end, we were treated to dessert on the house, and had the pleasure of meeting the manager of the restaurant who was amazingly humble and cool. This establishment is the finest Indian cuisine I've ever had, and one of the best dining experiences as well. We will certainly be back before leaving Bangkok.

Great food & service A bit noisy, which i understand because the tables are mainly big groups Give them a call before you go to check availability. The menu options is not similar to any other Indian restaurant, butter chicken is not there .. they did it for us as a special request. Food for 3 costs around 4700 baht.

Fantastic bargain for the vegetarian special - 699++ for unlimited portions off a set menu plus a welcome mocktail. First dishes were served individually and the later courses family style. A definite feast!

We had a delightful brunch there today. The dining room is quite large, the ceilings are high, the tables are far apart, the ventilation is excellent, and the staff are taking all precautions. We have been here many times. The food and service have always been excellent and all were on point today.

This restaurant was recommended by friends and it did not disappoint. This is on the higher end of the price range for an Indian meal but it was worth it. The waiter was extremely helpful recommending varies dishes and providing cocktail suggestions to pair with the food. The cocktails are fantastic. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic atmosphere and service. A must go! All their grilled meats are up to the standard. They cook lamb really well, easy to eat even for someone who doesnโ€™t usually eat lamb. The giant naan adds the wow factor into the meal. The 3 dipping sauces as the appetiser are amazing!

  • 5/5 Chetan P. 4 years ago on Google
This is Indian food with a flair. If you want to try something that is steeped in tradition yet modern, Charcoal is the place to be. The restaurant is well decorated and photos taken here look amazing. Signature cocktails are unique and a must-try. The focus is more on grilled delicacies so do not come expecting the traditional curries and the usual Indian dishes. They do have one or two curries and their daals are great too. Lamb biryani is a perennial favourite. The desserts are done with a flair too. Staff is courteous and well-trained. They are very good with recommendations. If you are a regular like me, the staff and manager (Vijay) will remember your preferences and will make some new recommendations from time to time. Sunday brunch is great value and highly recommended. I bring quite a few guests here every few weeks and Charcoal has never disappointed. Keep it up!

  • 5/5 SJ 7. 4 years ago on Google
Really enjoyed our stay at Charcoal. Service and waiters are very attentive and friendly, drinks and cocktail selection is very good and beyond local standards. Enterior design and atmosphere is marvellous. Food is also great and authentic. Positive: drinks menu, service (introduction, friendlyness and attentiveness), authentic kitchen and tasty dishes. Neutral/standard: food menu (variation, info on size) Negative: huge range of imported spirits and beverages (too many, not really fitting to the concept), why would indian named cocktails (see iamge) require vodka from New Zealand or white Carribean rum?!? Sugestion for improvement: 1. more drinks with local ingredients (including Thai spirits) 2. more drinks or beverage products with indian heritage (i.e. Rum, fruits, spices, etc.) 3. more distinct menu with less international beveregades (incl. providing the whole range of products from big companies, such as Bacardi) (I still wonder why anyone would/should drink Tequila in an indian restaurant, it's just not the right place) 4. Indian tapas/tasting plates: not everyone is familiar with the whole range of your offerings. How about offering small rations of distict dishes on a bog palte for everyone to try. (such as italian antipasti plates). 5. Menu - dish size overview: unless you're a local it is really hard to foresee, how big a dish will be and thus how many different dishes one could order - menu is not really a help here, since starters are not that small imo.

Been here for Diwali ๐Ÿช” they had set menu for veg and non-veg but small portion of appetizers and tiny curry dishes for many naan and roti pieces (fail here). Cocktails ๐Ÿธ are nice and desserts are okay. Restaurant gets busier with time so better go early. Dance show is awesome for the Diwali but many pasts of restaurants couldnโ€™t see it. Henna and flowers decoration are great. Toilet had Indian honking ๐Ÿ˜‚ typically many aspects representing india.

My 2nd time here in a collaboration event with Aesop! โญ๏ธ is for the fun entertaining part! Unfortunately the food part, I had to say it was much better with their own menus. All our dishes are cold. Breads, Chickens, Lamb. I understand it is a big event with quite certain pax in house. However, all dishes seem they were cooked quite certain time before serving. Thatโ€™s why I and my friend were not that impressed For the service, staff are nice helpful. I was impressed with Tandoori chicken with my 1st time. So have high expectation to the food yet nothing hit that bar. Still definitely come back for their own menus Great atmosphere Fun place Nice experience for Indian food!

Don't expect to walk in and find all your normal Indian dishes. They specialise in tandoori cooking and do it well. So be advantageous and try something new.

The food was superb and the service was just flawless and efficient. The waiting time was really short too. The desert and cake was just beyond my expectation. Would recommend anyone who plan to visit this restaurant to try! Overall I would rate this restaurant 10/10 and would definitely return!

It was a birthday meal, so was a lovely restaurant for the special occasions. Mood was extremely good, we are quite big eaters but the portion sizes were enough, we left feeling content and full. We ended up having a mixed tandoori platter, however this isnโ€™t on the menu so it was hard to judge if the price we was charged was correct. This was a good option though and everything we had very of great quality. Overall good food, good atmosphere and setting, a little expensive.

Food was delicious. I really enjoyed the ambience and service was fantastic. I will definitely return to try other items on the menu. We started with complimentary Papad chutney and ordered Lamb kebab, veg briyani, malai Broccoli. For dessert gulab jamun with salted caramel ice cream .. So divine.

We finally made the trip to this restaurant near the Nana BTS station and it was well worth it! The drinks were beautifully made, the chicken and dal were perfectly cooked, and the service was excellent. The restaurant itself has excellent decor and great atmosphere. We are looking forward to returning soon.
