The Silk Road Restaurant is a classic cantonese restaurant. Nestled at the Athenee Hotel Bangkok (level 3). Place opens from 11.30am onwards. Very good atmosphere. Refreshing, spacious, clean and comfort. Best peking duck I have ever had. Wonderful food journey, in awe. Special props to K. Pawinee for her wonderful service. With her friendly and lovely attitude, the expereince is joyful. She is a true example of hotelier-soul. Place accept all type of credit cards. There are service charge of 10percent.

Overall is good; one star is missing though. The reasons are firstly, some dishes are not worth the money in term of their tastes. The hotel is 6 stars; therefore, for sure, customers would expect to have an excellent food. Secondly, the restaurant has been aware for a month ahead that all seats were booked. Why did not inform us a decent amount of time ahead about ordering food in advance!? We were informed to order the food in advance in a very last minute. We got a call at 6 pm and were told to get back by 9 pm. Well, the whole family had to pause their errands and got to do this task! I am sure that the operation could be better if you pay more attention.

One of the best Peking duck crispy skin and Cantonese foods in town. The fish maw clay pot soup is highly recommend. Poached chicken is also quite unique. Noodle crab meat is just really good. Highly recommend.

I believe this is one of the finest Cantonese restaurants in Thailand, recently earning the prestigious #1 Best Fine Dining Restaurant award from over 9,000 restaurants, as voted by the customers. The standout dish is undoubtedly the Peking Duck, a Cantonese specialty where the duck meat is savored with the crispy skin. The chef performs a live cooking show, flame-frying the duck to perfection, crisping the skin, and eliminating oily feathers. The duck is then expertly sliced and served with Chinese pancake batter and caviar, creating a unique experience compared to other Chinese restaurants. The remaining duck meat is versatile and can be used in various dishes of your choice. Additionally, the Dim Sum is of exceptional quality, crafted fresh for every order. I highly recommend trying the fresh fish maw stewed for 72 hours and the barbecued pork.

How in the world can this be 4.7 rating? I'm pretty sure the reviews are rigged. Wanted to call and book, they mentioned it's full. Being stubborn we Walked in and the place was only 3 tables taken. Ordered pricey dim sum that's not worth trying. Fried rice was good Smoked duck was not worth 500b for small portion. Wasn't as juicy and tasty, just average duck. Har gow with caviar was overrated. Salted egg bun was OK. Tea per person was 170++ per pax All in all 2000+ for 2 pax for not worth coming dim sum.

The food quality is good. Highly recommend for those who stay at the hotel. I tried one Pecking Duck and it is very delicious. The skin part is one of the most crispy I have ever tried. Although, the food is expensive than other Chinese restaurants in Bangkok's department stores or other local ones. There are some great deals if you book the stay at the hotel. (e.g. free hotel credit, loyalty program discount)

I had lunch at Silk Road during stay in hotel. All dishes are not expensive by compare with quality, size and how fancy they look!!! I will be back again for sure. Service is the best. They are pretty keen and friendly. Thumb up👍

Overall just OK food. Atomosphere and service were excellent. BBQ pork had great flavor but half of portion was pure fat. Fried green beens with minced pork had great flavor. Fried rice was below average. Crab wonton soup was very pricey and not worth it.

I really like every dish here. Pecking Duck is very very good. Hoi sin sauce taste good, less sweet - I like it. The crispy skin is good and the duck meat is delicious. Stir fried Green Bean dish is very delicious. The Jellyfish dish is yummy, I love it. We really enjoyed our dinner.

Very nice dim sum with both good taste and innovative appearance style, and very attractive services as well! While the chicken feet taste is a bit different from the traditional Cantonese chicken feet style, be ready for something new if you order it.

Visited 28 Jan 23. Group of 6. The restaurant has a nice decoration of Chinese New Year! Very nicely done ! Managed to secure a table . Ordered many food. The red sweet pork(with fats) was really melt in mouth … the Peking duck on fire … good show. The meat choose to make into soup and noddle… best taste ! The dim sum… fresh and juicy… the pork rib …. Tender until I think my grandma if still alive will be able to eat ! Super tender! Food wise was awesome . My service staff… P’ Pawinee… she was prompt in her clearing of plates … topping up drinks… able to recommend food which was great ! Even going to extend to take photo at the best view for us with the CNY decor in the restaurant .this is what I feel as hospitality and service from the heart !! food and service blown US away! Keep up the good food and hospitality!

4.5 stars for food and 4 stars for service. This restaurant probably has the best Dimsum in Thailand. Quality is comparable to the best in Hong Kong. Nice ambience and spacious seating. $$$$

Great atmosphere! If you like some privacy, book a private room. The menu is various with both dim sum menu and Chinese food menu. The taste is great! The pork rib is very tender. The dessert is delicious.

This elegant and spacious restaurant offers a variety of Cantonese and Sichuan dishes, as well as dim sum and seafood. The service is attentive and professional, and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. I went there for lunch with my family and ordered the Peking duck, which is one of their signature dishes. The duck was carved tableside and served with thin pancakes, scallions, cucumbers, and hoisin sauce. The skin was crispy and flavorful, and the meat was tender and smooth. The pancakes were soft and thin, and the sauce was sweet and tangy. It was a perfect combination of textures and flavors. The portion was generous and enough for four people. The price was reasonable for the quality and quantity. We also ordered some other dishes, such as the steamed scallops with glass noodles, the fried rice with crab meat, and the braised kaofu with mushrooms. They were all tasty and well-prepared, but the Peking duck was definitely the highlight of the meal. We also enjoyed some jasmine tea and fresh fruits for dessert. I would rate this restaurant and the Peking duck 4.5 out of 5 stars. The only minor drawback was that the restaurant was quite busy and noisy, so it was not very suitable for a quiet conversation. However, this did not affect our enjoyment of the food and the service. We are not familiar to Cantonese cuisine, but we know when the food is delicious and ot was! The decor is sofisticated, the service is very attentive, and the food is simply amazing and delicate. We lived this experience in Bangkok

Creative dimsum dishes in a private setting. Shout out to Deep-fried shrimps with Mandarin sauce and chocolate. Weirdly enjoyable. Steamed rice rolls with pa tong ko is also an interesting menu.

The food is excellent, very delicious and clean. Staff is so friendly, nice and has service-mind. all are kind and fast. Very appreciated to lunch here today.

Seriously recommended! It seems expensive but my partner and I shared the duck pancakes starter and duck main which was about 2000baht but more than enough food for 4 and the quality was more than deserving! Excellent service from all the staff and truly not rich individuals able to flash the cash so please take my word for it! Will be coming back next time we're in Bangkok or bother to make the trip if in Thailand!

Nice atmosphere. Ordered the Peking duck with cavia and suckling pig. Both taste good. The skin of the suckling pig is super crispy. The service is superb.

Great place for cantonese style chinese food. Everything we ordered were delicious especially peking duck and dim sum. Superb service with friendly staffs. The price is on the expensive side but exceptable. Only complain is the food coming out quite slow.

Good quality dimsum place, yes comes with high price. The services is in fact below the standard of 6 stars hotel and this price level of dimsum. Lack of staffs on the crowded day like Sunday lunch. We did not order all-u-can-eat and we deserve a better attention from staffs. One of the staffs was trying to be friendly, but it is weird as she supposed to be more polite with customers and more professional. I discount one star from my review due to services did not meet the standards and my expectation on this place.

The gaste of the food is amazing. Definetely a place to go when you visit Bangkok and the service was awesome, they are always attentive to you and are súper nice people.

Third time here and we love it. Came back with more friends and celebrated our anniversary here. Staff and service was amazing as usual. Food is top notch. Highly recommend the peking duck and steamed fish. They customised the fried rice for us because of dietary restrictions! Which made the experience great. The senior lady hostess always greets us with a big smile. They even got us a cake to celebrate the occasion

Great experience, it’s a reference definitely. Taste is good to exquise, the cooking is correct and even close to perfection. The staff is highly trained and yet very enjoyable. The design is welcoming and making the experience relaxing, the only snag will be the music ambiance, a bit too loud!

Overall food has good taste as expected. Stir fry has nice wok hei to it. Peking Duck has a nice crisp and the sauce is lighter and more fragrant than what available at other place.
