👍 One of better deals for Michelin starred restaurants around Bangkok. We went for a journey menu with wine pairing. All was quite good with sea bass and foie gras being the highlight. Main dish, pigeon was tasty as well, yet portion was small for a main dish. I would suggest adding soft bun (brioche)...     One of better deals for Michelin starred restaurants around Bangkok. We went for a journey menu with wine pairing. All was quite good with sea bass and foie gras being the highlight. Main dish, pigeon was tasty as well, yet portion was small for a main dish. I would suggest adding soft bun (brioche) to bread selection. Thai cheese platter was interesting and worth paying extra, yet cheese portions were very small. Wine pairing was decent, no single glass below average. Service better than last time we visited, good explanation given for all dishes we had. All in all, memorable experience.

    Went here for my birthday. Great service, wonderful execution, gorgeous place, and superb taste. One of the best French contemporary food in Bangkok! Would recommend for any special occasion. I tried the J’Aime journey, but there’s also an alluring truffle course as well for the moment. Will definitely come back here again.

    A hidden gem in Bangkok, not straightforward to get to but well worth the effort. The restaurant ambiance is a little dated but it has a nice open kitchen where you can see the chef in action. The staff are knowledgeable and attentive. We opted for the 9 course tasting menu with wine, B2999 + B2500. I have to say from amuse to dessert, the food was sensational - both looking good and tasting even better. The wines, though not premium level, were a good match for the food. Overall, an excellent dinner and brilliant value for a michelin star restaurant!!

    Experience was great and service was exceptional! The food was good. We had the set course meal and chose the prawn and halibut for the main course. Both tasted excellent. Bread was freshly baked and they provided a variety of breads and oily spreads. Dessert wasn’t too sweet but it was a bit difficult to cut without smashing out the cream. Tea/coffee was provided at the end and I had the lemongrass and ginger tea (out of a variety of tea options).

    Revisited after the lockdown. Still one of the top kitchens in Bangkok!! In France, that would be two Michelin stars. Modern and elegant ambiance. Wonderfully composed dishes with local Thai influence, perfectly prepared and lovingly arranged. Absolutely professional service. Plus a great wine list! A real pleasure to be a guest here. And all this at very reasonable prices. And if you're a frequent guest, there's a discount, too.

    Love the food! We ordered the set dinner. The taste of each dish is complex and delicious, you get a sense that a lot of thought and effort went into its preparation. The cheese platter was very good, and the cake to end the dinner was exceptionally delightful. I won't hesitate to recommend to my friends!

    We got well attended through the dinner. The room felt splendid especially as it was not crowded by visitors. Food was like standard but not yet impressive. And the portion is too filling, even the smallest set.

    Love the way French cuisine with local ingredients especially supporting the community at Thailand as part of the CSR practice. The special courses are environment awareness themes and love the way they explain to you especially link to environment issues. We are lucky as we manage to met the chef in person and I'm proud to be part of the charity activity too!

    I was here for dinner on Bastille Day and the restaurant I would say left me wondering which aspects got it the One Star. There were a couple of the dishes that were quite good, such as the frog leg, the beefless bourginon, and the cheese-based amuse bouches. And the fish. However, some dishes, claiming to use locally-sourced ingredients, meant that the flavours were average, such as the chocolate dessert and the pigeon. Also they don’t make their own breads and mignardises. The server said it is purchased from Amantee Bakery. It was cold and hard, but served with Lorain’s own butter, lovely macadamia nut butter, and a strange fish sauce paste. The servers spoke mainly in Thai, so I didn’t know how the meal worked and how to order, but thankfully, they explained each course in English. Nobody offered coffee or tea, and at one point for a few minutes there was no server in the dining room. Fortunately, the restaurant was decorated tastefully.

    A unique experience in Bangkok. A stylish place in this cosy neighbourhood. Then comes the gastronomic show where each dish is a visual masterpeace accompanied by delicate flavors...I tried the Scallops, foie gras, cultured mushrooms, butternut squash, and Piron sauce...The Mille-feuille honors owner's family history and gives pride of place to French pastry.

    A great place for french cuisine im Bangkok. It's situated on the second floor of the U Sathorn Hotel tucked in a quiet street of Sathorn road. The hotel is beautiful itself, making you feel like you are in a resort outside of Bangkok. The restuarant is nicely decorated and the seating are very comfortable. The food is classic french. Everything is on point. I love their prawn dish, very tasty and perfectly executed. Will definitely come back for a full meal and dining experience. 9/10 from me, well done guys.

    French contempolary with excellent ingredient selection! They use many local ingredient but customize to match with high huate cuisine standard.     My best food experience in Thailand. Every single dish was exquisite in both presentation & taste. My personal favorite was chicken in white champagne sauce. Additionally, since we made reservations for my friends birthday, a complimentary cake was provided by the chef which was a unique taste on its own. The cocktails were good tasting with a great punch as well. All in all a fabulous experience!

    Went for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you to the chef and staff for going out of their way to prepare a gluten-free version ot the Lorain's Signature course for me.     Last night at J'aime, we were treated to a skillful blending of Thai ingredients into French formed delicacies. From the char-grilled bamboo clams and wild-caught Ronin Jack tartar to the Surathani tiger prawns and pepper “petit farcis”, alongside warm sea snails persillade, every course painted a vibrant tapestry of flavors. The highlights of the evening were the creamy smoked barramundi with caviar sauce, and the pigeon breast in pineapple chutney with sticky rice and leg meat croquette. These dishes were masterstrokes, all elevated by an impeccable wine pairing. Truly an experience for the senses!

    Beautiful restaurant inside U Sathorn hotel. The location isn't the most convenient, but the food and ambience are well worth it. We came from Siam station, take BTS to Sala Daeng, exit to take MRT train one stop to Lumphini. Exit Sathorn side and walk about 1km. The food here is flavourful and full of pleasant surprises in terms of how the taste explodes in your mouth. It's an orchestra of beauty, fresh ingredients and indulging of senses. Try their picnic lunch menu which isn't expensive. 1700baht per person for a great experience!

    Unfortunately J'AIME was disappointing. From the food to the service and the seating. They serve you small plates that although taste OK doesn't feel like eating real food if you enjoy eating a proper meal you might want to reconsider this place. I did not appreciate the beefless bourguignon that I saw another reviewer say was excellent. The service was quite amateur. I will not be returning.

    Came with high expectations for the place having a star but unfortunately we left wondering why they have one over some other places we've visited. Service was ok but not great except for the sommelier who was very friendly and explained the wines well. Food was presented and cooked well but lacked in taste, except for the dessert which was very tasty. Overall, would not go again.

    The restaurant is located inside the U Sathorn hotel. We both ordered the Wonders set menu. The food was overall great with variety of meat and ingredients sorted from different parts of the of Thailand. Overall I really enjoyed the food, Barramundi with creamy clavier sauce and both desserts are my favorite! Staff are friendly and service was good.

    I want to start with saying that the service was excellent and there are no complaints there. I went for the Wonders menu. This restaurant does nothing to dispell the stereotype that French food is just all cream. The dishes were cooked to perfection. However the tastes were not that memorable. The low point was the tiger prawn carpaccio, which was heavy, overly creamy and lacked balance (the pomelo wasn't sweet nor acidic enough). The frequent use of brown sauces and dishes did not improve the experience. Overall the food was good but not what I would select at this price point. Would I come again? Actually, maybe yes. But I would select a simpler and cheaper menu because of the excellent execution.

    It’s a nice experience been affected by the complicated mix and match of the flavors. Nice service and really thoughtful, the staff noticed the really detail atmospheric in each tables. The cantaloupe dessert is the best of the day!

    This is my 2nd Michelin star experience and this Restaurant is beyond excellent. The ambient is perfect, the staff were very friendly and professional and the best of all, food. Presentation and taste is just so good that i will not hesitate to come back again. Tasting menu is very generous in portion and priced very well. Highly recommended.

    Very elegant and decent place. Had set lunch here. It was above average. Staff explained the inspiration of every dish. Lovely settings. Slow cook wagyu was soft and tender. However, overall dishes were not too impressive. And it would be good if they could keep the bread warm. The atmosphere and environment was unbeatable.

    What a lovely dinner I had. The staff was very nice & friendly. The food tastes very nice, better than many french restaurants in Bangkok, and the price is reasonable. I had 5-course tasting menu. All the dishes were lovely. Recommended if you’re looking for a good french food in Bangkok.

    Food is good but it’s pretty much hit or miss. Umemadai was super delicious but the prettiest dish—the vegetable ravioli with coffee was disgusting. Loved the duck fat that came with bread. And maybe I expected too much from a Michelin-starred restaurant but the plating was also kinda ugly.

    Quality food and excellent service! I m very impressed by how the restaurant add lights and gimmicks in the menu, thus to create such a memorable dining experience. Frankly, the rate is not expensive in considering its quality. If I want to get this kind of quality food in Hong Kong, i bet i need to spend a double on it. It definitely worths a visit! The only shortfall is, the restaurant is located in a hotel which is quite far from the metro. It may take you some time to grab a taxi after meal.
