Happy Beef

Restaurant Thai restaurant

🫤 I don't know how I ended up here but I regret it after paying the bill: 411 baht for a measly little beef noodle soup and a tiny glass of lemon juice! I was hungry so I slurped the whole bowl however, it wasn't that special and tasted bland. The two star is for the excellent service and the nice wai... The 17% part is a bit on the annoying side but all others here at Siam Paragon charge it as well. 7% for the government and 10% to help pay employees. I know their rent here is not cheap and food and restaurant industry here is very very competitive. I ordered the Papaya Salad with Shrimps which was a bit on the strong side as you can see from the dark dressing in the plate. Chef put way too much of the dark stuff in there. The beef fried noodle were not too shabby. The beef I picked was the 300 Baht one. I am glad I picked this one and not the more expensive one because they use the same sauce for all. The soy sauce used was also on the stronger side. They used a cheaper and stronger tasting sauce in the fried noodles also. On a scale of 1-5 this place is a 3.5 star but we can’t give half stars here. The staff were friendly and smiled to me. I can see how some people though said that they were not friendly. I think that depends on the person whom served them and their mood at that time. Most of the people that complain about staff not being able to speak English most likely have a smartphone and I bet they use it quite often also as they used it to place a review here after. They could download Google Translate and type in what they want to tell them and I bet it will be right 8/10 times. They can then either show the staff what Google Translate said or hit the play button and let them hear it. 9/10 times the staff will look at you and smile after you show them or hit the play audio button of translation. Note to owner: If you sell premium beef I would use a premium sauce to go with it when stir frying beef noodles 😉, also sauce/dressing in Som Tam (Papaya Salad ) is off too. I added picture to see.

The beef chewy hard boiled but terrible. Food tasteless their prices very high. I see its empty I think they need to source better beef or close their shop.

The restaurant provides Thai Food. It is acceptable casual restaurant. We have tried ‘Vegetable Thai Style’ which was good, and ‘Vegetable Fried Rice’ which was moderate.

Best pat see ew I had in Bangkok. It could have been pricy as others say, but I would choose the tasty dish rather than the price. I will visit local food stall when I want to get something cheaper. This time, I was in Siam Paragon, so I understood the price difference.

Didn’t expect much but in fact they do nice and authentic Thai food! It’s fresh and tasty, so far none of a Thai restaurant disappointed me

We ordered egg fried rice and chicken panang curry. Even though seeing the restaurant empty we were feeling anxious but still the food was good.

How can a beef be "HAPPY"? Beef means that the animal is dead. So you will be happy eating the beef that they prepare. I am sure happy when I ate my bowl of beefy goodness. Happy because you pick what you like. Interesting "DIY" choices on the noodle type (ramen,pho,rice/glass noodle), ways to prepare the beef (grilled, fried, marinated, sliced) and the soup (original, tom yum, green curry, red curry). Of course please do inform the staff of your preferred spicy level. Situated in the middle a very huge and comfortable floor level of the shopping mall, you may have missed out this eating place among the bustling crowd. It not cheap, but certainly value for money for the quantity and quality you are getting. The green curry "soup" is actually drinkable and tasty to marinate the noodles and beef. You can see the amount of curry leaves and spices (see photo) to further "lift" the raw beef smell. Beef is tender and yummy. Together with all the smiley cartoon cows, it makes you feel that the cow is well worth sacrificed to make you happy. If you do spot this store among the food city, stop to rest your weary legs and feel free to make yourself HAPPY =)

Trashy experience. Wasn't as good as before. Paid 1000+ THB for 2 person, both of us weren't able to finish. Chunk meat was hard, soup was not flavourful, and the flat noodle was weirdly salty.
