Great evening here. “Frittura Di Mare” as you may call “Calamari” is fantastic. The Oriental Hotel Bangkok is still unbelievable place for you to visit. Trust me.

The atmosphere is excellent with stunning views of the ICONSIAM and Chaophraya river at night. The dishes, however, were average. The only outstanding candidate was the tiramisu which is one of the best I’ve tasted.

The place is very nice, near the river, far away from the noisy Bangkok. There is an impressive work on the service, the atmosphere and the Italian food was amazing . The young Italian chef know well his job and select the best of Italia. The only non easy thing is the way to go from the main entrance to the restaurant, we went to have diner around 9.30 and it's a labyrinth to access to the place with no one to indicate the way.

You are guaranteed to have a good atmosphere in an MO outlet right by the river, what surprised me was the food quality based on the relatively small scale of this restaurant

The Ciao Terrazza simply doesn’t live up to MO standards. It wasn’t great last year but it’s even more disappointing now. I think they serve t the food from the Riverside buffet. Nothing was freshly prepared- the focaccia was fresh. Rack of lamb, waygu filet, potatoes, etc etc were pre plated foods. Service was horrendous. Very poorly trained when you did actually get attention, so totally overpriced for such a poor attempt at fine establishment. The ONLY thing enjoyable was the venue and view. And the positive reviews posted recently were all written by local guides- I’m sure it is to their benefit.

Service The service was not up to MO's usual standard, being slow and with long delays between courses. However, it was still acceptable. Food The food was excellent, but the portions were very small for the price. View and atmosphere Despite the service and food shortcomings, the restaurant offers the best view and atmosphere of the river. Overall Overall, the restaurant is a good option for a special occasion, but diners should be prepared for the high prices and small portions.

Food was good at a reasonable price. Service was good except from the lady who taken care of the reservation. Our waiter was super helpful. I highly recommend the Ciao pizza. Sausages salad we had was nice as well.

Nice food with Chao Praya river view.

This is most memorable dinner at riverside in mandarin oriental Bangkok. There many Michelin star restaurants in town but I chose to come here because simply I’m a fan. Haha.. I love them because they take care of every details. Ciao has a fascinating river view if u can come at right time, u will see the golden sunset with the water reflection is simply beautiful. The boat riding and water sound, wind breeze and bird sings, u won’t get this else where. The restaurant will be closed for few months during raining season and river side seating needs to book in advanced. I never disappointed with MO food quality. The wood-fire pumpkin soup are superb yum, the fragrance brings more appetite. Lobster pasta is tasty, I like the noodle texture with the right amount of sauce and with the fresh lobster are just perfect. Look at the pizza, it makes u want to have a bite. Dessert is where it scores into a woman’s heart and they play well. They serve a unique way to eat tiramisu, one bite of tiramisu and one bite of chocolate cream sauce, it’s a taste of bitter sweet. They also serve a complementary ice cream chocolate cake for my birthday, its a nutty flavour outside layer with the chocolate ice cream filling, the combination taste wonderful. At last, they serve some complementary chocolate pieces. It’s really nice gesture and I’m blessed.

Italian restaurant in Mandarin Oriental hotel. It's on the ground floor, outdoor and attach the Chao Phraya river. The view is very good especially during the sunset. Staffs are very good. The food is very good taste and well decoration.

Wasn't really impressed with the host. She could have handled the customer better. The food and the waitress was nice, especially with the cool river breeze in January. There are not many places in Thailand where you could enjoy good Italian dishes in outdoor settings. It's definitely got nice view of Chaophraya River.

Thailand is big on Italian and not a street corner goes by without pasta or pizza. But at Ciao’s are more refined tastes, with (at the moment) a chef from the Oriental on Lake Como, with great tapas style starters, sea bass and lobster linguine. Very welcoming service and, as always at the Oriental, fantastic river view.

Extremely romantic setting by the Chao Praya river with classic Italian fare. Very traditional dishes with very fresh ingredients. Shuttle boat service from hotel to other areas of river is excellent.

Breakfast by the river. Nice and quiet. Good quality food, staffs are attentive and friendly.

Nice italian place by a scenic river under a Mandarin Oriental brand... what else can you ask for? Oh, they have Antipasti buffet as well. Highly recommend for Focaccia Al Tartufo E Mascarpone.

An outdoor Italian restaurant located at Mandarin Oriental hotel, offering spectacular river view in cozy ambience. Top notch service. Food not so impressive, however. Needless to say, extremely expensive.
