Hands down the most underwhelming food I've ever had by a Michelin chef. I was looking forward to GAGGAN for the longest time when I first heard about it years ago and now this first experience was ruined by mediocre food. The only saving grace was the service staff which did an excellent job. I went for the lunch on 6th Feb with high anticipation. At a cost of $675.95 inclusive of GST for 2 pax, you'll be expecting either simple food done right or high quality ingredients that will blow your mind away.. but no, most of the courses are uninspiring, one-dimensional tasting and cheap ingredients. The only dish that blow my mind was the yoghurt bomb and everything went downhill from there. The rest are as forgettable as the lunch you had yesterday. For the same amount, I can get much higher quality ingredients at other Michelin restaurants like Caviar, Uni and Truffle. Instead, what was served are very cheap ingredients with no creativity or effort to make it taste like Michelin standard. Texture of the GANDALA bar was deflated and tough to bite. Sea bass broth was mild tasting and lumped with low quality vegetables. The only saving grace was the monkfish liver. A mini pancake with duck meat and curry spices. How is this creative? While it taste good but its definitely not Michelin standard. Breaking point was the noodle. My partner commented to me that this looks like a bowl of mee goreng with small pieces of crabmeat slapped on it. I would have gone to a hawker center if I wanted to eat this dish. Visual point is zero It feels like the chef has lost his inspiration in Singapore and asked someone else to create the dishes on his behalf. Did I mention that I was charged twice for a bottle of still water when I only had one? I only realize when I got home and saw the receipt

Outstanding and definitely mind-blowing dining experience! The concept, the ingredients, the platings, the executions, the wine paring, and most importantly the story telling throughout the dining…it was such an immersive and interactive experience that I would never forget. A higher ranking on Asia’s top 50 best restaurants is certainly gonna be happening very soon !! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for sure!

Had a fabulous meal. A pop up with Chef Gaggan and Chef Bruno from France.13 course meal . Sublime, high on quality, taste and presentation. Top notch service. So worth the price and visit. Different tastes, textures and using local ingredients creating some unforgettable dishes!

I came here for my honey moon main dinner and waited +6month for the dinner. I was so excited but it was a very bad experience. - Temperature is too cold Music is too loud Too much monologue - is it a stand up show ? A lot of talk and storytelling that is pure nonsense Only loud rock music adn too bad I don't like rock :-( Why talk about sustainability and trash talk about it ? Jokes are not funny - same text played everyday all the same Swearing too much - why cuss ??? This is so inappropriate when you lay high price for good experience Stop telling me how to eat every 5 minutes - my golden rule of food and drink is to enjoy it the way you want Forget about interaction with your partner as there is so little room to talk and discuss Even after 20 dishes I was still hungry - portions are very small Penultimate course a simple shrimp... Last meal is rice... With 5 piece of mushrooms + Eat and drink fast, no time to get bored Experience is innovative : Music + food + light Team is amazing Layout of the room is great to have intimacy and be in the center of the action :) Customer service is very reactive - I have to change my reservation and all was done on WhatsApp very quickly Wine portion is perfect (small but you can drink) Conclusion For the price it costs I don't recommend the place If you want a pure show this is fine If you want good food this is bad I had so high expectations after Netflix show and I am very sad for tonight experience

Wow, wow, wow! We had a blast during lunch time enjoying the 9 course creative journey of Chef Gaggan and his crew. I loved all dishes, hard to pick a favorite. Staff service is amazing, 6 stars. Excellent experience. It was really fun to create my own names of the dishes. I loved it!

Great experience!! It’s amazing dinner forever. We had 18 courses and lots of menus that created by professional chef. In each course, there are concepts and games that we can join with! The taste has spiced and It’s make me feel surprised at first because I have never had eaten Indian foods before. Chef can create the dish interesting and wonderful. In each dish, has decorated with many ingredients that we’ve never expected. It’s amazing when we’re try and guess the ingredients that we have eaten. We are enjoying with food and having a good time with friends!

A very unique and fun dining experience. A change of pace from typical fine dining and it’s refreshing. Gaggan is engaging and fun and hearing him and his staff present the dishes is an entertaining part of the experience. The meal incorporates light, sound, and story to add to the enjoyment of the dishes and it’s all integrated seamlessly. The staff are helpful and professional. I had a great time.

After meeting Gaggan in Vienna, Austria in 2019 I made it a mission to dine at Gaggan Bangkok. In March 2020 I was fortunate enough to have this opportunity. Ranked no.4 in the world’s 50 best restaurants at the time of dining. Not everyone will get or understand Gaggan’s food, but for those who are open-minded, those who can appreciate a story behind each dish, and the willingness to have your emotions evoked, this will be a meal of a lifetime. All I can say is thank you. Thank you to the team, and thank you to Gaggan for sharing your world.

People talk about restaurants being “experiences”, and I thought we’d had some amazing ones in the past (Noma, Osteria Francescana, Eleven Madison Park etc..) but no - they were just incredible meals. THIS was an experience - an almost non-stop onslaught for all the senses. A 3 hour spectacle/performance. Funny, educational, at times serious, irreverent, at all times entertaining and seriously delicious. Gaggan Anand has enough of a name / following that I’m sure he could put his name to a restaurant, design a menu, provide input in the background and rake in the money. Instead he’s front and centre, for almost the entire 3 hours, talking guests through every one of the (22) courses, accompanied by music, light shows, and laugh-out-loud funny stories that may or may not be true. Best meal I’ve ever had? Top 3 for sure. Best restaurant experience I’ve ever had? Without a doubt. 👏🏼

Not your typical dining experience. What an incredible dining experience. If your expecting chic, elegant and upscale dining, forget it - you'll be disappointed. Gaggan and his team will walk you through the 25 courses and the accompanied story that comes with it. Don't come here expecting traditional Indian food. You will not get butter chicken or naan bread. There will be Indian flavors though. Price included wine pairings and open bar at the beginning and end of the sitting. Not going to spoil the experience so book and go find out what you're missing out on.

The Phantom of the Opera 🎭💥💨 • Gaggan is freshly focused & fired up at centre stage of his 2nd Bangkok eatery on 68 Sukhumvit 31. His original Bangkok location earned 2 Michelin stars and was voted Asia’s No1 Restaurant a record 4 times 2015 thru 2018 and after emerging from COVID his new Gaggan Anand Restaurant currently sits at #5. • The meal is an immersive, operatic experience with 22 courses across 2 acts. You’ll feel transported to a 14-seat movie set as Gaggan plays the lead role of the Phantom with the rest of his team playing the role of Dickensian-esqe culinary characters. • Interaction is the difference maker and the oratory from Exec Chef Rydo, Beverage Director Kojic Vladimir & Chef Vix perfectly accompanies the delivery of the dishes.

Quite possibly best dining experience I’ve ever had, and easily the most unique. Reminded me of the movie the Menu (minus the killing part). Each dish is accompanied by music track, detailed explanation and presentation of the local and relevant history of the cuisine. While Gaggan was not present when we visited (missed him by a day!), his chefs were very talented and professional, and shared his story as he would have liked. Don’t hesitate to book!

You know you’re a huge foodie when you book your flights after your restaurant reservations were confirmed! After waiting months, this place did NOT disappoint! This was one of the coolest experiences next to UV in Shanghai. Food was fun and delicious. The chef really worked hard and is very fun and creative! Excellent and well worth the hype!

What an experience. I basically planned my entire trip to Bangkok around this dinner and it didn’t disappoint! It was immersive, flavors were insane, staff was incredible, and the presentation was unreal. Great music choices to go along with the meal and the staff made the experience a 10/10. Shoutout to TK and Vix for going above and beyond.

What a PHENOMENAL experience! Our trip to Bangkok, ended on a high note with dinner at Gaggan! Molecular gastronomy, incredible techniques and culinary influences from around the world, all play a part in the creation of this incredible menu, served exclusively to 14 diners at this Chef’s Table. Gaggan is a master storyteller. Or, as he describes himself, a conductor leading his team of “rebels” through a symphonic culinary orchestra. A dinner that lasts 2.5 hours, Gaggan keeps you engaged, entertained and always guessing throughout! One of the best elevated and immersive dining experiences I’ve been to. If you haven’t had the chance to dine at Gaggan yet, put it on your travel/culinary list now! You are guaranteed a FANTASTIC time!

Had the opportunity to go to Gaggan Anand’s restaurant while on vacation. Absolutely one of the best experiences I’ve had. The whole staff was on point and amazing to speak with. The whole atmosphere was alive and we felt like we were apart of it all. Each dish that came out was crafted to perfection and they did not miss a beat. We also did the wine pairing with our dishes. They were some good ones in the selection, but the sake selection was one of my favorites. The only thing I can say to describe everything is that it’s simply a “MUST GO TO” on anyone’s list of place to eat and and have experience of a lifetime with other people that enjoy the food as well. Met some great people that night. Please enjoy the pics!

Had a very nice 8 course set lunch at Gaggan Anand’s newish restaurant on Sukhumvit 31. You have to book and pay a deposit upfront. We were seated upstairs next to the open kitchen which was great to watch. The staff are wonderful, explain every course and make it interesting. Food was delicious and 8 courses enough for us but you can order extras if you wish. Wine very very expensive but it was lunchtime so didn’t mind giving it a miss and having a lovely Gin & Tonic. Great experience and glad we went!

If you are looking for a dining experience then its the place. service was good (a bit awkward with some jokes that the waiter was trying to pull), restaurant ambiance was interesting however the seats were soooooo uncomfortable , I had a very difficult time trying to be seated comfortably (still uncomfortable all throughout the evening). We found the food was so-so, the tastes wasnt very Indian, it was a bit hard to explain, maybe it just wasn’t our style. We did inform the restaurant prior to coming that it was a birthday celebration, they did not prepared anything special for us nor did anyone asked who’s birthday it was. Overall, i would say it is overpriced and better off just a one time thing. Ps: we paid aprox. 13,000 for 18course 2 pax.

It was definitely a unique and incomparable experience! The staff was extremely friendly, professional, and kind! But like everything in life, not all experiences are to everyone's liking. We favor a more quiet and private environment, and here it was the complete opposite: the music was so loud that we were unable to concentrate on the dining experience. Therefore, we are unable to identify and enjoy the elements of each of the stages. Even so, the staff of this restaurant deserves all my respect and admiration for having created such an unusual concept. I would love to see this kind of experience in Berlin; I think it fits perfectly with the city.

Went to experience their lunch courses, and must say everything that happened there was splendid, definitely an unforgettable experience. Food, of course, no need to mention much, always have trust in Gaggan. Even tho the lunch was just a short course but trust me u get full. Every dish has its own uniqueness and story, all burst well in the mouth. We also got mocktails pairing which was also pretty nice. Service was beyond excellent, staffs provided us a very wonderful time. For the 2,xxx baht lunch course per pax, this is more than worth it.

Superb storytelling and atmosphere. But for most courses, the original flavor of the food were overshadowed. Sometimes less is more.

Unbelievable. Bangkok is great, but it would be worth it to fly here from the US just for this. A 25-course ingredient-forward masterclass and a world tour with a stop on the moon from a five-sense wunderkind and an impeccable team. If you really wanted to find things to criticize, I suppose you could; these are recipes hot off the presses, inventive, enjoyed, without every last rough edge tapered off. But why bother. Just try to get a seat, and bring your whole self.

Great experience. Love the services and staffs (and also stickers) since arrival until we left. They serve 18 courses fusion Indian food here, food quality is good, display is great but the taste a bit under expectation. Like the way guest can interact to create their own menu names using emoji stickers provided. Fun to eat and try. We ordered the mock tails experiences (6 glasses of mocktails) and wine; some are good but overall not recommended, order separately would be better.

How to start to be able to describe this experience with chef Gaggan? My feedback might be pretty biased as I’ve been dreaming to visit his restaurant for ages, which finally became a reality. The whole experience is a total sensorial show where food and taste play one part (although a very important one). The dinner is a pleasure for your eyes, ears and all other senses. The overall menu is impressive and allows to translates into a culinary journey the hard work of the chef and his staff. This is not a common fine dining experience and you need to be ready to have fun and to share this experience with other people sitting at the same table with you.

Thoroughly enjoyed their 25 course meal with wine pairing. It was a lot of delicious food, and every dish with a unique story. Felt more like a theatrical show. There was lots of music and lots of wine. Super fun. Had a fantastic evening with friends.

Worth going to once sure. First yogurt dish sets the bar very high. From then on it’s hit or miss. Rice was dry and felt overcooked. Staff is nice and friendly and seems to work hard, but for the price I felt they are relying too much on name and persona rather than leaving customers feel delighted. One of those things where you’ll ask the group “so did you guys like it?” and then feel like grabbing some wings or pizza a few hours later.

We went here recently on a Friday night while on a 1 day layover in Bangkok and had an incredible dinner that exceeded our expectations. Traffic getting to this neighborhood is no joke, so allow yourself up to 2 hours to get here depending on where you're coming from in Bangkok. It took us 90 minutes, to get there for a 5:30pm dinner. The food was fantastic with really surprising and inventive ways to experience Indian flavors, while still being delicious. This experience is not for everyone - it's communal, theatrical and music is loud and there is cussing. We loved it - very different from most 2-3 star restaurants, a really refreshing change of pace. The wine pairings were lovely with some very unexpected and unique wines. We were lucky to have Gaggan come out for some of the courses, he and the rest of the team have a lot of charisma in addition to their talent as chefs. Overall it was a memorable night we'll never forget!

There is dining experience and there is Gaggan Anand. This was definitely the most entertaining dining experience ever!! I have been in multiple Michelin restaurant around the world and Gaggan restaurant is really in a different level. My wife and I had the pleasure the participate in this spectacle to celebrate her birthday at the end of December. Food was delicious and absolutely unpredictable! Surprising selection of wine and great service from beginning to the end. Great presentation in every single course and definitely fun interaction with the chefs. Special thanks for the Portuguese chef that made sure to surprise us in our celebration! We will absolutely go back to this restaurant when visiting Bangkok and recommend to everyone looking for an unique experience with great food and wine!
