👍👍 TL;DR: Food's good, get the grilled pork. This restaurant speaks for itself the way I think most places should: with the food. A short walk from Asok, it's pretty quaint, and can get a bit crowded during dinner, and the menu is pretty basic. But a lot of the side/street stalls in Bangkok have shut... TL;DR: Food's good, get the grilled pork. This restaurant speaks for itself the way I think most places should: with the food. A short walk from Asok, it's pretty quaint, and can get a bit crowded during dinner, and the menu is pretty basic. But a lot of the side/street stalls in Bangkok have shut down due to covid, and places with good Thai food have become fewer and further between. This is one of them. Owner came to check on us too, which was nice. We had the Tom Yum w prawns, pineapple fried rice, morning glory, and chicken w cashew. No complaints, but I especially recommend the grilled pork

This restaurant is linked to Big Mama Pizzeria, which was where we dined at. We came here at about 3pm and the place was empty. The food here was good in general, but definitely more pricey than other places with equally good food. Wouldn’t go out of my way to dine here specially. I love the pork fried omelette though! It’s crispy on the outside and so so flavourful! The mains were alright. The flavoured beers here is likely just added syrup and beer - taste is not distinct. Not too bad but not my favourite.

I had a huge expectation from reading the comments and the medium to high pricing. I ordered fried pork belly in holy basil, i actually tasted a bit bland . I also had their green cury, and it was too sweet for me. The service was great. The staff is very attentive and helpful.

Very nice Thai restaurant with a lot of vegetarian options. We asked to veganize dishes and they were accommodating. The result was an excellent vegan tom yum with mushrooms and tofu. Dishes are not too oily or salty and the vegetables were fresh and delicious. Well worth the price.

From the outside, it looks like a small restaurant but once inside, the space is a lot bigger. We arrived slightly after 7pm, and was immediately seated. We waited quite a while for our food to arrived, and it wasn’t served all at once, it was quite an interval between the dishes. Our pineapple fried rice took a while to arrived too which I think they missed out on our order. Tom yum was nice and flavourful. First time eating pork floss on the pineapple rice which adds a lot more texture and taste however wish the portion could be bigger for the price paid.

It’s underwhelming and expensive tourist food. Not sure how better to put it, since there was absolutely zero spice and even my toddler could stomach the massaman curry (except for the the rather crunchy undercooked potatoes in it that is).. The salt levels were also very inadequate - I was tempted to shake the salt shaker into it except that the owner came and asked how the meal was and I didn’t dare say that of the 4 dishes we ordered, not 1 made the mark (none were spicy or salted at all, which was surprising for a Thai restaurant). Maybe we just need our tastebuds checked, since the thousands of reviews can’t be wrong. But the fact there weren’t any local Thai people should have raised alarm bells. Also, the prices are expensive for what it is.

First time here. My colleague booked this place for our first meal after check in. Love the tom yam gong, absolutely delicious!!! Their stir-fried minced pork with basil leaves is also tasty (NB: this is “THE” fish I’d normally ordered every time when I try out a TH restaurant. If they can make this good, they should be ok with the rest of their dishes). Claypot prawn glass noodles is good but curry powder crab meat is a disappointment. All in all, l like it! BTW, their welcome drink is absolutely divine!!!

This is one of the hidden gem restaurant in the Bangkok City. Located not too far from MRT Sukhumvit Station, Madam Saranair, provides quality and delicious Traditional and Fusion Thai Food. They also have good wines on their selection, and many other beverages (cocktail and mocktail). The price is a bit pricey, but still worth it compare to the food quality.

There were 5 of us and it was a bit frustrating to share an iPad amongst us to order food. When we told the waitress that we would split the bill, finally she brought two iPads to speed up the process. I had a great meal, unfortunately, not all of us enjoyed it, apparently the chicken was not fully cooked, I will still recommend the restaurant though. Credit cards are accepted.

5 out of 5 for the food and for the environment. You can find very good Thai food here with very good environment, make sure to book earlier prior to the visit. We enjoyed the dishes here especially the green curry and basil leave stir fry pork. If you have space for your stomach please make sure to order their mango sticky rice as desserts. 100% recommended

The Fried Crab with Curry was the best we ate so far in Bangkok. It is not too oily and salty and the taste is just right. The ordered Steamed Fish in Soy Sauce was fresh and not bad and the Pork Neck is nice and not too dry unlike others we tried. May come back again and try other dishes. Service can be improved tho. Think they nearly forgot our change. BTW free desert for doing Google Review.

We had an amazing experience with their authentic thai food. Unusual tastes, often very spicy! They don't speak english too well, but we've managed to get around. Fair prices.

My family and i had a unforgettable, satisfied and MEMORABLE evening at Mdm Saranair, thanks to the very considerate and thoughtful boss and staffs ☺️ 🎂The attention to the fine details were unrivaled and superb. We were glad we’ve made the right decision to come here tonight. Food wise, they’ve exceeded all my expectations with the presention and taste. All of the dishes were yummy and delicious! The restaurant has been around for more than 24 years, which says alot about their service, authencity and quality. As for price, its worth all the dimes and pennies spent! Madam is definitely a must visit! Hope to come back here whenever we’re in Bangkok again. ขอบคุณมาก ❤️

"I absolutely love this Thai restaurant! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The Spicy squid shrimp óysyer with Thai Herb is my go-to dish, and it never disappoints (so forgot to take pic😂) . The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I appreciate that they offer vegetarian and gluten-free options as well. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Thai cuisine!"

Nice restaurant, had a lovely vibe to it. It reminds of the old world humbleness and over presentation is very much rooted in local culture. The menu serves all of Thai cuisines staples. The food is tasty and made with homely touch. Fairly quick service. However some meals seemed to lack a lot flavour- for example the chicken green curry that we had ordered. But other foods that we had ordered were very good. Overall a good restaurant in crowded Sukhamvit where one is spoilt for choices.

A favorite Thai restaurant among tourists. Short walk from the Sukhumvit station and like the fact that you can actually choose the spiciness level.

We have been in Bangkok for two weeks. Really believe this to be the best local Thai food we have had. Pork neck, shrimp steamed in coconut, pandan leaf wrapped chicken and mango sticky rice crepe for desert. All excellent. The owner came by and chatted with us. Also a very nice guy.

Authentic Thai foods, colourful designs. The welcome crackers and chilies are nice. They gave a complimentary small cup of vodka with fruit juice inside. The waitress speaks very little. You choose and order thru tablet. Portion is good for sharing.

The place: has a very traditional colourful vibes. A short walk from MRT Shukumvit. The food: I had their classic pad thai with shrimps and stir fried pork with basil leaves. Both tasted amazing! The padthai was well seasoned and the shrimp was fresh! The pork basil was very flavourful and well seasoned as well. It’s not that salty you can eat them without rice. I also had their mango and passion fruit juice which was really delish! No additional sugar so it tasted very natural. And all dishes were presented beautifully. The pad thai has orchid on the plate and the drink has bluebell flower. Very extra lol. TL;DR Place 4/5 Food 4.5/5 super delish Service 4/5 Price 4/5 a tad bit pricier than your common thai food, but hey, it’s good!

The dining experience here offers flavorful dishes that capture the essence of Thai cuisine. Set against the backdrop of a genuinely traditional atmosphere, it feels like a culinary journey through Thailand. Prices are on the premium side, reflecting the quality on offer. For those seeking an authentic Thai encounter, I highly recommend sampling their signature dishes.

Food is good but the vegetable portion is not value for money. Drinks here are really strong as well. So if you love a good kick from your drinks. This is the place. The vibes and ambience is really cosy and warm too!

I had an incredible dining experience at Madam Saranair Thai Food Restaurant in Bangkok. The food was absolutely fantastic – each dish bursting with delicious flavors that truly captured the essence of authentic Thai cuisine. The dishes were not only very tasty but also remarkably flavorful, showcasing the skill and passion of the chefs. One of the highlights was the refreshing fruit juices, which were an absolute delight, especially in the heat of Bangkok. The diverse selection of juices added a refreshing touch to the meal and perfectly complemented the dishes. Speaking of value, the quality and quantity of the food provided were truly impressive, making it an excellent bang for your buck. Madam Saranair Thai Food Restaurant offered an authentic culinary journey that immersed me in the rich Thai culture and flavors. And let's talk about the mango sticky rice – it was an absolute masterpiece. The perfect balance of sweetness and texture made it an unforgettable dessert that capped off the meal on a high note. In summary, my visit to Madam Saranair Thai Food Restaurant was a delightful experience from start to finish. With incredible food, delightful fruit juices, and an authentic ambiance, it's a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic taste of Thailand in Bangkok.

Nice restaurant, lovely presentation and fairly quick service. However some meals seemed to lack a lot flavour- especially the black pepper dishes. Would however recommend the chicken in red curry sauce and the fried fish cakes as they were unreal! Also had to wait 30-45 mins for the bill to come after we had asked a few times which wasn’t ideal.

Good and authentic Thai food! (But it is more pricey as compared to other eateries) We about 4000 THB. The receipt is attached in this review so you can see the breakdown of each dish / drink. When I came in, it seemed like this place attracts more foreigners than locals. 1) Tom yum soup - less spicy and more suited to a foreigner’s palate 2) omelette - a must-try 3) pineapple fried rice - not outstanding. Ordering plain or sticky rice would be a better option. 4) sour and spicy pork - tasty but the beef was somewhat chewy 5) drinks - such a shame that they didn’t serve Thai tea and lemongrass.

The food is really not nice, the service is too slow. The tom yum soup is very diluted. Whiskey sour is super sweet. Sizzling tofu was okay. That’s about it. It is full house though but it’s quite squeezy. If u want to have a good romantic night out, there are many more better choices out there.

Aside from the green curry, which might still have been good (we ate an amazing green curry in the afternoon), every dish was fantastic. Fantastic. We devoured so much that the long walk home was necessary to help everything settle. The room itself is quite large with many tables that are close, but not crammed together. We were greeted at the door with attentive service throughout. The menu is extensive with a photo and explanation of every dish in English and Thai. We settled for grilled chicken and pork neck for appetizers, with beef salad, green papaya salad, chicken massaman, and green curry. Every single bite was exquisite, except the green curry. Maybe the Bangkok style requires sweetness in the curry and Pad Thai, but I find it off putting. However, everything else was a lesson in balance. It was difficult to name one dish that stood out from the rest as everything from the salad to the pork neck sauce was exceptional. For me, the sour, salty, spicy, sweet salad was exactly what I hoped for, it was crunchy, tangy, spicy, large enough to share, and dripping with sauce. The massaman was a favourite for the others, but not exactly to my style. That didn't make it bad, just not what I was expecting. The beef salad, OMG, was firm, moist, crunchy, tangy - amazing. Actually, apart from the green curry I couldn't fault any of the plates that we are.

Madam Saranair is a cozy homey Thai Restaurant located right in the center of Bangkok The Thai food that this restaurant serves is AMAZING GOOD, the portions are very BIG and the prices are very reasonable. The service in Madam Saranair was Good Fast and Friendly even that the restaurant was very crowded. This restaurant is suitable for birthday party, friends and family or for just a casual evening. No wonder that Madam Saranair is full with customers, I recommend to reserve a table in advance. Thank you Madam Saranair for a lovely tasty evening, I will certainly be back.

Came across this restaurant by chance. All dishes we tried are flavourful. The set meal is really worth it with big portion. The fruit shakes we tried were mango passion fruit shake and coconut pineapple shake. Both were good and not too sweet. The ambience is cosy and quiet despite in a very busy district. A good hideout for lunch.
