Fun and interesting place to spend some time window shopping buying Thai Amulets not all are typical Buddhist images some are very weird and strange to most Westerners, many of these amulets are meant to attract wealth sexual partners, protection fame success in business or careers Most of the Amulets in this market are mass produced and very cheap. However some amulets can be hundreds of years old and blessed by revered Monks and can be quite valuable.

A small amulet market I stumbled upon in Prachuap Khiri Khan. Nothing touristy about this - just a group of Thai guys selling and buying amulets under a bridge near the railway tracks. Quite interesting.

A fun place to visit. very interesting. no haggling or harrassment so it’s a comfortable visit. a lot of the objects are repeated from shop to shop so make sure to check for prices in different places. most of the items are of lower quality, this is not an antiques market. I will definitely be including this in my standard bangkok tour as people can buy tokens at ang price point. also there are some weird items.

مكان جميل وقديممم لمحبين القديم If you're looking All kinds and all old thing AND at the right price!!! Much cheaper than any store or online. We prefer to buy from the shop owners who are sweet, so don't bargain with anyone who is less than kind. Keep walking and you'll find what you need just a couple steps ahead. So bl

Very interesting experience. Kids enjoyed looking at all the amulets. Left me with many questions about what the amulets are for, who they represent, etc. Busy, winding alley filled with stalls and shops.

Tons of amulets, but be aware most of them are mass produced by themselves not from temple, hence so "fake" but still worth as souvenirs. Do not rush to buy from one store, go ahead and compare prices.

Interesting but underwhelming. Recommend only if you have extra time after grand palace and want to explore. Mostly just window shopping, don’t think I’ll buy anything there

Tha Pra Chan in Bangkok is home to a vibrant amulet market. It is renowned for its wide selection of Buddhist amulets, talismans and related items. Vendors set up stalls in the streets and alleys of the area, selling a variety of amulets and other items related to Buddhism and Thai culture. These include statues of Buddhas, medallions, coins, scrolls, and other items believed to bring good luck or protection to their owners. The market is a popular tourist attraction and a great place to pick up a souvenir or two. Prices vary, but are generally affordable. After 5 weeks of traveling in Thailand, I wanted a few amulets to remind myself of my trip. This market was excellent and affordable. All are obviously cheap reproductions, but still look great. 3 solid size amulets for less than $100 USD. A good deal.

I first came here in 1991 and bought an amulet, had no idea what I was doing and knew nothing about anything. However it turned out that I'd found a significant place. I've been back a few times since 2015 and it's always the same. Last visit was December 2021. You can also order robes for university ceremonies here.

In Bangkok this market is where to shop and purchase Buddhist Amulets and statues. This for real a wholesale market BUT be sure you are in a Wholesaler shop-- there are folks retailing also. Enjoy and SAVE

😐 It’s difficult to rate this place. During the day / early evening it’s a good place also the streets in the area are good. Food is cheap and good. At night everything changes.
