In
warmer
climes,
the
thing
you
appreciate
most
is
air-conditioning.
So
having
to
turn
this
off
every
time
you
leave
the
room
(
Keycard
required
for
room
power),
is
not
conducive
to
a
relaxing
stay.
Couple
that
with
no
elevator,
and
a
tight
staircase,
it
made
getting
my
110lbs
of
luggage
a
delight
to
get
to
my
room.
Then
having
to
himp
my
50lb
tool-case
up
and
down
stairs
every
day
only
added
to
the
experience.
Rooms
were
clean,
if
somewhat
sparse
(
only
one
of
the
two
lamps
in
my
room
actually
came
equipped
with
bulbs),
and
comfortable
enough.
Hot
water
was
not
as
reliable
as
it
could
be,
but
was
at
least
always
warm.
The
view
was
of
an
unfinished
roof
next
door,
over
the
top
of
a
razor-wire
fence.
The
walls
were
thin
enough
that
I
could
clearly
hear
anything
going
on
in
the
adjoining
rooms,
and
have
no
doubt
my
own
telephone
conversations
carried
just
as
clearly.
Then
the
location
was
on
a
busy
road,
and
traffic
noise
made
a
fairly
constant
companion.
We
ate
breakfast
and
lunch
in
the
hotel
restaurant,
which
was
nothing
fancy,
but
I
never
had
any
gastric
issues,
so
no
complaints.
So
why
a
3-star
rating
for
a
review
that
doesn't
exactly
seem
overly
complementary?
The
most
important
factor.
Value
for
money.
While
I
would
class
this
hotel
as
at
the
bottom
end
of
the
acceptability
range,
the
price
charged
brought
the
value
quotient
much
higher.
We
had
a
corporate
rate,
and
know
our
customer
was
paying
for
meals,
but
four
nights
for
under
$155.00,
made
the
issues
a
lot
more
bearable.
