Songtsen Library is nice place if you wan't peace time and do self study. It has beautiful garden and architectures build inside. If you are a peace lover this place is definitely for you, though it is located at a distance from the main city but still its aura is worth travelling.

If you are really interested for a calm place to study your books this place is for you. Apart from it you can visit for a heritage walk . It has beautiful architecture & gardens that is so attractive. You'll always find water lily blooming.

Timing of this library is 9am to 5pm and holidays on 2nd and 4th saturdays of every month,and the good thing about this library is that there is no noise of traffic and people, very quite place you can read and study with full concentration and also can enjoy some birds chirping...

The most peaceful and meditative place in Dehradun for preparing for competitive exams. A treasure trove of rare books in a peaceful environment with modern and hygienic facilities. Library staff is very polite and cooperative. The building has a beautiful architecture modelling like a Tibetan royal palace surrounded by landscaped garden with flowering trees and lotus ponds, also a vintage Mercedes used by Dalai Lama kept as a open museum display.

Its one of the best place in deradun for students as well as people who love to read in peaceful place, this place is known for its beauty. Everything is amazing here .

This is not a library,it is the temple of philosophy,learning,wisdom and knowledge.. It is extremely beautifully architectured,you would feel your presence like you were visiting any deep green forest or any serene natural creation.I was reading several scripts about this library over the internet thus writing further here… This library is primarily dedicated as center for Tibetan & Himalayan Studies established by His Holiness Drikung -Kyabgon Chetsang Thinley Lhundup, the 37th throne holder and supreme head of the 800 + year old Drikung Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. This library hosts a vast collection of (Tripitaka) as well as rare manuscripts from Dunhuang, and ancient city on the Silk Road. I was very excited to sit down in this library and read some Tibetan literature,journals and much more and that I did today.loved this space ❤️
